This is a cosy hotel and comfortable one. The bedware is so comfy that we all spent a good sleep after an exhasuting day. We spent 3 nights there and got recharging each day.

The tradition chinese hutong style decors are wonderful and we love it. However, the wall painting in the bedroom is not as same as in the photos and we are of great disappointment, and according to the staff that it was a new renovation. It is recommended that the hotel can update the photo in the hotel to avoid any misunderstanding. Anyway, we all highly recommended this hotel as u can feel what the traditional chinese lifestyle is .

Lovely place near Jingshan Park. Super cute room with kettle AND teapot (and 2 choices of loose tea). Rooms face quiet courtyard entered from lobby - good place to sit on sunny day. Had yummy dinner in restaurant on my last night. All staff were very nice and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Jingshan Garden Hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They assisted us in securing reservations for the National Art Museum, which is nearly impossible if you don't have a Chinese phone number or speak Mandarin. The property has the authentic feel of an old Beijing courtyard house, and staying here turned out to be a much more enjoyable and memorable experience than staying in one of the large international chain hotels that we were originally considering. The area around the hotel is charming, since it located in the middle of ancient hutong alleyways. It is just around the corner from the beautiful Jingshan Garden, which has splendid views over the Forbidden City. Our room was lovely, with a spacious and well-equipped bathroom. The beds here were far more comfortable than any others we had on the rest of our trip throughout China. The air conditioner worked well -- much appreciated in the sweltering temperatures of Beijing in June! I also appreciated the nice tea set in our room. The only drawbacks to this hotel are that it is hard for taxi drivers to find and it is at least a 25-minute walk to most restaurants outside of the hotel. We had printed directions in Chinese, but our taxi driver from the airport still had difficulty locating the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and it is beautifully decorated and has a nice view, but it is rather expensive for local standards and it barely offers any options for vegetarians.

The property is older but full of great charm. Staff is friendly and absolutely accommodating. Construction was going on at the street but didn’t impact our ability to get around. Would definitely stay again! So close to Forbidden City and Wangfujing. There is a reason they are so highly rated!!!

It was a little difficult to reach at night given that it is located inside an alley where it is hard for cars to drive into. Otherwise it is a nice hotel to stay in because the bed is comfortable and the service is nice. They even gave me a gift at the end of my stay. At the end of the day, all i ask is that the host treats me with respect and they did exactly that :)

A wonderful stay in a traditional hutong hotel.

The staff were excellent and helped up to book a car and driver to take us to The Great Wall of China and The Temple of Heaven as we didn't speak much Mandarin. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The restaurant was excellent and tge food was delicious. The hotel was well situated in the Sanjanjing Hutong right next to Jinshan Park, and in easy reach of most of the popular tourist spots. The staff went out of there way to help us, and were so kind. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.

Loved just about everything about this hotel; it was beautiful, the staff was welcoming, the location was perfect, etc.

Only issue is that there was not enough hot water for 2 people to take showers. The hot water heater had enough for about 5-6 minutes of shower time. I know it's not the easiest location to have a giant hot water heater, but when it's -10c outside, a hot shower would be nice.

Very nice people working in hotel and restaurant. Poor water flow from shower and inadequate hot water. Toilet clogged repeatedly, so need better maintenance. Bed was very comfortable and the courtyard and rooms had real “period” charm. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Traditional hotel in Beijing close to the Palace

The hotel style and condition is nice and well preserved in a traditional Hutong. The location is good in walking distance of the Forbidden City, although the closest metro station is around 15 minutes away.
The service is good and polite and they try to communicate in English and give you some support in your travel.

Wonderful Hutong Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Jingshan Garden Hotel during our trip. Lu Lu and her team were just absolutely fantastic, kind, helpful and so generous with their time and the lovely details we received during our stay, specially the flowers because of the trip being our honeymoon.

The hotel is located very centrally, right in the center of Beijing, some 15 mins walk from the back entrance of the Forbidden City, 5 mins away from Jingshan Park and in the middle of a Hutong, which adds so much flavour to the stay.

The room we stayed in was large, modern, comfortable and spotless. Also, the patio is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the afternoon.

All in all, wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Exceptional hotel, providing quiet accommodation during the busiest season (Golden week) and wonderful food. The hotel has a very communal feel and the surrounding Hutongs are extremely quaint and peaceful. A great place to go to experience daily Hutong living, with attentive service given by all staff, especially Lulu, the manager. Lulu provides personalised hospitality, endless energy and takes the time to know each guest who stays. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Jingshan Garden Hotel is a small, clean, peaceful and nicely furnished hotel in a Hutong near Jingshan park. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was good. We would stay here again. If you are looking to stay in a Hutong area rather than a big modern hotel then this is the place to book.

Location looked good, But NOT close to anything. Subway station is not a 20 minute walk, more like 30 minutes. They should have a small transport at hotel. Room is just OK. Beware of the breakfast. Cost is high for a half star breakfast and not included in your room package. Service SLOW. Hotel is really much more expensive than the 5 star chain hotel. Manager very helpful, but the other staff speak little english.

This property was a definite diamond that we booked for our 30 day Asia trip. It is in the heart of a historical area in Beijing and in a prime location. We wanted to experience the culture in the city and that is why we chose this hotel. It was exactly what we wanted! Attractions are walkable from the hotel and the customer service was amazing!

We loved staying in the Jingshan Garden Hotel!! The hotel itself is a great location in the city- perfect for sightseeing. It is handy to the Art Museum, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and much more. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet hutong, so it is very peaceful and relaxing. The staff is friendly and very helpful from booking a car to and from the airport, to securing tickets for us. They even saw that it was our sister's birthday during our stay and they gave her a cake! I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again.

We liked everything here except the water heater. The room was really nice and clean; Staff were friendly and helpful; The hotel has a good location, close to Jinshan Park and The Forbidden City; Had to wait for at least 2 hrs for the water to heated before showering and next person had to wait another 2 hrs to take a shower, so we’d suggest to carefully schedule showerings. Overall, nice place to stay in Beijing!

Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Hutong

My husband and I stayed at Jingshan Garden Hotel for 5 nights on our recent trip to Beijing. The hotel is located in a hutong, which is a little alley way. It is beautifully renovated and presented, and has the feel of an old Chinese home. After check-in, we were given a welcome booklet, which has a brief introduction to Beijing and its surrounds, and all the things that you should see and do. We found it to be very helpful! The beds are incredibly comfortable, and in your welcome booklet, they actually warn you about how comfortable their beds are!! Our main complaint with this hotel is with their bathroom. Their toilet doesn't flush properly, especially if you are used to Western toilets that can handle toilet paper. This can sometimes result in toilet smells wafting into your bedroom. We visited in the middle of winter, and so the smells weren't very noticeable, but we could imagine that in the summer, the smells could get overwhelming. Secondly, the hot water runs out very quickly - this was a problem for us especially after a long day traipsing around in the -10 degree cold. That said, we have never experienced service that is as top-notch. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, the food served at the restaurant (though pricey) was delicious, the rooms were thoroughly cleaned everyday, and we received New Year's gifts (tea and a tea set!) from the staff. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so comfortable and memorable!

Good location, It takes around 15 mins to 南鑼鼓巷 subway by walk or public bus just 1 mins walk outside the hotel.
Excellent service, friendly and helpful staffs
Comfortable and clean room
The hotel that you stay with the mixture of chinese and western style . And you can experience the local lifestyle.
I spent the new year and my birthday here.
I will definitely come back again !

This was my first time in Beijing and a work colleague recommended this hotel. I did some research before and found out the hotel went through some renovations, so everything was supposed to be new. And indeed the rooms and the facilities were all new! The staff were friendy, the restaurant served traditional chinese food, as well as western food. The room was very cozy. Also, the hotel is located really close to the forbidden city and jingshan park. Had a great experience there, will recommend this hotel for sure.

It's a hotel which is located in the heart of Beijing. I was dreamed to stay in Siheyuan hotel which is very Beijing style architecture. And Jingshan Garden hotel is exactly what I want.

I found it's a refurnished hotel and re-opened recently. Rooms are comfortable and facilities quite new. Staff are very nice for the tips visiting around Beijing. BTW, I like the lunch in the outdoor area of Temple restaurant, very cozy.

One of our best decisions in our last trip to Beijing was to stay at Jingshan Garden, the hotel is beautiful, the people at the front desk was really helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect since it is in the very heart of downtown Beijing, in a safe area (altough it doesn't seem like that at first sight since it's in a Huton), and 10 min walking from a metro station. Breakfast is also very convenient and delicious! I would stay here again without a doubt.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit persönlichem Charakter. Die Lage in einem originalen Hutong in der Nähe der Verbotenen Stadt ist ausgesprochen gut. Das Frühstück und das Restaurant sind sehr zu empfehlen und der Innenhof lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der Service ist sehr gut und es werden Ausflüge bspw. zur Mauer angeboten.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of Beijing.
Close to everything.
Management and stuff outstanding.
(some of the staff had difficult with english but they manage anyhow)
The hotel is located in the old town of Beijing, so called Hutong houses.
So symphatic and best of service.
Dont miss this if you go to Beijing.
Our stay on Jingshan Garden Hotel made our stay in Bejing
to a unforgotten memory, for sure we come back.

很喜歡它的設計有老北京民居的風格。酒店雖然在胡同裡但也是容易找到的。走過不同的胡同就可以走到“南鑼鼓巷”地鐵站算是方便的。酒店房很乾淨住的很舒服。每天都有幫忙收拾房間職員有禮熱心幫忙。有朋友到北京旅遊的話一定會介紹這酒店很好很滿意 :)

Je suis globalement une fois par an à Beijing.
Toujours dans les hotels de hutong.
J'ai fait 5 ou 6 fois le Jingshan garden.
Toujours très bien mais alors l'inflation joue à fond. C'est devenu hors de prix. je ne pense pas y retourner, car on se moque de nous.
Calme. mais real probleme de personnel (très gentil au demeurant) aucun ne parle Anglais et on n'arrive pas à se faire comprendre (ils font des efforts mais cela ne suffit pas).
Et je ne parle pas du Pdj devenu au fil des années juste nul (et tout de même très cher). Et ne comptez pas vous faire comprendre. Impossible d'avoir des oeufs au plat non preparés pour baguettes !!
Bon on peut toujours y aller mais preparez la monaie...pardon, les billets.
