This place is filthy. After booking this room I received an email that breakfast would not be provided. I asked for a full refund because part of my decision to book with them was breakfast and they had a pool. They denied the refund. When I got there the room where breakfast would be held was visibly being used for storage so it was obvious that they haven't provided breakfast for an extensive time. The pool was a scene of disgust. No one should ever exposed to such a sight of filth and neglect. Our towels and bedding all had visible spots of brown who knows what. Cigarette butts were everywhere outside of the room doors.

Keep in mind, this was the least expensive motel around. We had a double queen bed room. One of the beds only had one pillow. TV had no signal. Toilet paper holder was broke. No hand towels. The \"curtain\" was taped to the window. (To top it all off, we had neighbors who blasted their tv and partied all night long) We should have complained, but didn't. I guess you get what you pay for.

The employees were really nice. However there were stains on the sheets, no lock on the room door, the tub faucet didn’t work well, and giant spiders everywhere outside. My son has autism and not having a lock on the door was a huge risk to his safety so I barely slept. They were unable to switch our room unfortunately as all rooms were booked. If you have children I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

My stay at the Rodeway Inn South in Calhoun, Georgia, was extremely disappointing. The motel was in poor condition, with multiple cleanliness issues. The linens had cigarette burns, and the sheets and pillowcases were visibly stained. The pool was green and contained an unidentified floating object, making it completely unusable.

Additionally, the provided amenities were inadequate—a single dirty towel was stuffed into a cubby, and I was given only half a roll of toilet paper, one bar of soap, and an empty shampoo bottle. The overall condition of the motel was unsanitary, and I would not recommend it to anyone. In its current state, this establishment does not meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Probably wouldnt stay again.

This was just a pass through stop for sleep on our way home. I booked based off of pictures and should have used a little more discretion. The service from the couple at the front desk was phenominal. Lighting for the entry ways at night was terrible and i had to circle a few times to find them to get in. Im not confident our room was completely turned over from the last guests... the floors were in deperate need of a vacuum, there was no bar soap for the sink and there were empty shampoo bottles in the bathroom - we did find a mostly full one near the ice bucket. The door handle to the bathroom was broken off, the sheets were all mismatched with misc. Stains, there was only one pillow per person and only two towels, a floor towel and two wash cloths for four people (no hand towels), the fridge didnt seem to be working (we had medication to store and it didnt keep cold). The room is visually appealing and does look to be recently remodeled. Im sure the towels and soap issues would have easily been resolved if we had asked. Had it of been earlier in the night and we had realized how it was before hand, we probably wouldn't have stayed here. Definitely a lot of potential, im thinking maybe someone started to turn the room over and left midway.

Rodeway Inn- Calhoun. I reserved a 2 double bed room, arrived late in the night due to waiting hours for an accident to clear. Upon arrival, I went into the office to check in and the man told us after several minutes he was having trouble checking us in. He was very friendly and assured us he would get us into a room quickly. After 15 minutes he finally tells us that he doesn't have a 2 bed room available as we reserved and only had 1 room which had a single bed which was tight for us because there were three adults traveling with us. It was going on 1:00 a.m. and we just wanted to go to sleep so we told him whatever he had would have to do because it was too late to get a room anywhere else and I had already paid for the room and didn't have the funds to stay somewhere else. He then told us the heat did not work in the room (in fact, there was no power supply to the heater at all) Once we got into the room we saw that it was in very bad disrepair. Immediately upon entering the room we saw there was a huge hole in the ceiling, there was glitter all over the floor, stains on the sheets, mattress had debris all over it, there was one disheveled towel, dirt and marks all over the walls, mildewed shower, dirty toilet. We were very unhappy with the room. We checked for bed bugs and found none so decided to just sleep a few hours, get up and leave early. We will never return or recommend this place. The man did not offer any type of compensation for the error. I expected better.

Room requested wasn’t available and wasn’t explained but gave what was open. Key card given but fob didn’t work because they wont change the door battery. Had to walk to the front desk to get someone to let you in each time. Room carpeting and walls are stained with residue. Dirty pillows and mattress infested with bed bugs. Did not make it staying there due to being bitten and had to leave in the middle of the night.

We arrived to a dirty room. The sheets were crumbled all over the bed like someone had been sleeping in them, the towels were dirty and used, there was trash all over the room. We went to the front desk to let them know and the property manager said there were no other available rooms. We said we understood, he said housekeeping could come clean it tomorrow. We asked for clean sheets to sleep on until they could clean the rest of the room, he gave us 1 flat sheet, we had 2 beds. We asked for more sheets and he said they had no others. We asked for a refund so that we could leave and find another room elsewhere since he would not give us clean sheets to sleep on, he continues to say they had no more rooms, but we hadn’t asked for another room, only for sheets to make the beds ourselves. He was very unapologetic and did not care that we left. I would not recommend you waste your money here. Luckily Expedia worked with us to refund the money and we were able to stay somewhere else for around the same price.

The hotel itself wasn't absolutely terrible however, the owners. There were only 2 people working there the entire time. Neither spoke english good at all, you could barley understand them. No breakfest, the pool was dark green. There was an odd smell in the lobby (I do believe they were living in there as well). Photos matched the description of the rooms.

It could have been a lot worse but it got the job done. We were there for a music festival and stayed 3 nights and we survived.

The best part of staying here was leaving.

I would strongly advise against staying at this motel. The property is poorly maintained and the rooms are filthy. When I arrived, there were people walking around outside peering into my vehicle and my room. They hung around for a long time, making me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

The room itself was in a terrible state. There were dead bugs and dirty towels hanging on the door. The sheets were stained and the ceiling had several water stains. The room smelled like a mixture of mold and pot. At $90/night, I expected more.

I would not recommend this motel to anyone, especially if you are traveling alone or with children.

I thought the hotel was in a great spot. Right off the interstate with a gas station right next door and dining options very close. I also really liked the price of the hotel and thought the room had a modern, updated feel. My only complaint was that my room was not cleaned very well. The bed comforters were stained, black hairs on the bedding, soap left in the shower, and there was a stain in the shower that washed away with water. Staff was very nice, and it was a quiet night at the Inn.

We rented two rooms, one of the rooms looked like someone had been sleeping in it and the door was not closed all the way when we arrived. The room was musty/moldy/smelly, with stains all over the ceiling. The second room was so moldy smelling that you could almost not breath when we walked in. We left and went elsewhere. The wife and I stay here every year. This year was the worst. To the point where we will not come back. We pull in and look at the pool. It looks like a swamp. Green water with trash floating. We check in and ask about breakfast. They said they do not do any type of breakfast. They turned the breakfast area into storage. We get to the room. The room was muggy and smelled like smoke. The bathroom had trash in the trash can. The duel shower head didn’t work. The toilet paper holder was broken. We then opened the refrigerator. There was food left in there. The bed was lumpy. 3 pillows that were all extremely soft and small. The pillows were the size of a throw pillow for a couch. I tired calling the front desk with no answer. So we just went to sleep since we had an early morning. At 6:30 lam I went to check out and the lobby was shut with no one on site. There was a hand written sign that said press the doorbell. So I did. After waiting a couple minutes out comes the front desk person in PJs hair a mess rubbing her eyes. I told her I was checking out and handed her the keys. Not once did she ask how was our stay. Overall we will not be staying here because the quality has gone from a great place to a place that seems you can rent rooms by the hour.

This place was awful and disgusting! I walked into our room that I got to stay the night driving home and was hit by a strong odor. And the bed sheets had very obvious Sex stains.

My wife and I decided to just drive through the night because we didn’t want to catch whatever was on those dirty sheets.

When I went to return my key I let the owner know and they didn’t even apologize, they just said we can move you to the other side of the building, the other side is nicer. WHY IS THERE A NICE SIDE?!?! Is dirty sec-ridden sheets a regular thing there, why are rooms not cleaned/sanitized after every guest?!

Thank you!! We were here in an emergency and were comfortable and safe quickly. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and the tv was huge. The owners clearly have pride in their property and were LOVELY to us, helping however they could!! We can’t say enough that we appreciate it and having to stay an extra night until we could get arrangements made to get home. It’s not brand new or fancy - it’s well maintained, clean, tidy and comfortable. Stop here if you need a soft bed and warm shower and a happy face checking you in.

Horrible night sleep. We asked for a quiet room location and was placed between two occupied rooms that didn't settle down until after midnight. Even though strips of unoccupied rooms were available. Pool was green. Doesn’t look like it’s been open in a long time. No breakfast they say because of Covid but last I check places were opened back up. Literally just ate at a buffet yesterday so I don’t understand why they couldn’t serve a continental breakfast. Laziness. Upon check in the lady at the desk was rude and acted like she hated to even be bothered. This morning the lady at the desk wasn’t AS bad but still not very friendly. Room was gross looking. Horrible stained carpets and linens and the toilet leaked every time it was flushed. Will definitely not be staying there again. And I am seriously over not getting what we pay for.

We booked the hotel for a one night stay we had been driving all day. When we went to the room in general in looked okay, we noticed we were missing soap. It was late we were hungry so we went to eat. When we returned and pulled the bed down it had hairs, crumbs, stains, and the sheets were on the bed inside out. So we pulled down the covers on the other bed in the room and the sheets were stained with had scorch makes from an iron on them. When we looked closers all of the pillow cases were very yellowed. The towels had stains and the wash clothes had holes and stains. I called the front desk and the staff tried to resolve the issue; she showed us a couple other rooms but they all had stains on the sheets and yellowed pillow cases. They brought us a new set of sheets for the room we were in and I changed the linens. Not acceptable. They said that the owner/manager would give me a call. He didn't call us so I gave him a call several days later. I voiced my concerns with the linens and he said he would not give us a refund that they are not a Hyatt or Radisson. He never even apologized. Would not stay at this hotel.

Front desk associate,Karen ,was really sweet and you can see that she cares about the guests and makes sure you are having a pleasant stay. Our room was really clean and the hotel is conviently located to restaurants, shopping, etc . Our only issue was on our second night, we stayed two nights. Someone was smoking in their room and set off the fire alarms at 2 AM. Nearly scared us to death. But we will definitely stay here again when we come back through Calhoun.

We’ve stayed here a lot and really like the place. But in the morning idk what got into the staff. They kept calling and knocking on the door when 11 o’clock came even though I requested a late check out like we always have. In the past they wouldn’t even charge us because we stay there so often. The lady actually said that if I didn’t come pay the $10 charge that we would have to “Vacate the premises.” Like we’re crack heads or something. I couldn’t believe how rude they were. Idk if it’s new management or just different staff or what. I’ll talk to a manager before I decide to stay there again. It’s a nice place in a good, convenient location. I just don’t know what got into these people. We’ll be staying there again but someone is going to hear about how we were treated.

The room was very clean and matched the ad. I think the carpet had just been cleaned because it was very wet, wet enough to soak my socks. I wish there had been a second chair. There was only a desk chair so my husband had to bring in a lawn chair to sit on. The hot breakfast was nice and the coffee was excellent.

There was absolutely no information in the room about anything - breakfast times, checkout times, WiFi access, etc. Nothing except the Gideon Bible. Ceiling needed paint. Toilet paper holder broken. Shower curtain barely stays in shower. No place in shower to put soap or anything. Desk staff very unfriendly.

Close to the highway but not noisy, clean, can park at room. The bowed shower curtain bar was tipped down so the curtain did not close. The wrong type of wall anchor was used in the tile. Small problem, but needs a fix.

I guess you get what you pay for!

We were just passing through and needed a place to stay for the night.
I read the reviews and didn’t expect much. It sounded fairly clean but it wasn’t.
The air unit didn’t work and the beds had short brown hair all over it. There were also yellow stains on the sheets and pillow cases.

It was so bad that we decided to have breakfast elsewhere. When we first got to the room the bed sheets were ruffled like someone was laying in it. We asked for a different room which they gave us. When we got into the new room it was missing pillows. We called and asked to bring us another pillow. They brought us another pillow which smelled of cigarettes. Disgusting. Couldn’t wait til the morning to get out there.

Lots of issues

Lot of good reviews about being renovated so we booked. Our room was not clean, heat and air unit cover was pulled away from the wall. Hair dryer dangling loosly from the wall. No coffee maker but website said rooms had one. Would not stay again.

I’ll stay no where else in Calhoun.

If visiting or stopping in the area I see absolutely no reason to even think about staying elsewhere. The room looked brand new. The bed was super comfortable. The carpet was clean. Great brand new shades. The pool was super clean. Anything you need was in walking distance. I was VERY impressed. The breakfast wasn’t gourmet but I’m not a picky eater and it was hot and delicious. I will 100% stay here again and would highly recommend it. Zero complaints about anything. Excellent hotel. And it wasn’t right next to the highway 75 but its right off the exit. Applebee’s is directly across the street. Great room.

The staff was nice, but the room was horrible. As soon as we walked in the room it smelled and there were stains on the sheets. There were multiple bugs both dead on the floor and alive flying around. There was black mold on the ceiling. It was absolutely gross. We ended up leaving and staying at a hotel down the street, without a refund.

Don’t let the outside fool you!! This Calhoun hotel has been updated on the inside! Comfortable mattress and pillows. Checkin was smooth. Awesome price and it comes with breakfast!! We have stayed in a lot of hotels expensive vs cheap in the past and this one is right up there near the top! You can’t beat it for the price!
