Upon arrival, we found the bed to be in an unacceptable state. The sheets, comforter, and pillows all had visible stains, which made the bed feel unclean and uncomfortable to use. In addition, the towels provided were also stained, raising further concerns about overall cleanliness and hygiene. Staff was very nice!

Calhoun La Quinta is a worn out property. The owner of this franchise should be ashamed. Two stars because the shower tub drain worked. TV did not work, AC did work, Ceiling in hallway collapsed down and water from tub or toilet was overflowing into a catch tub flooding onto the floor. Staff arriving for morning shift tried hard to get things under control. Gold start to her.

They cancelled our room before we got there and said we did it. The room we were given had the smoke detector removed and one of the lampshades was covered in rust and mold. Not great but it was for less than 12 hours.

This was by far one of the most disgusting hotels I have visited. There were stains and hair on the bed sheets as well as the mattress and walls. This hotel is in dire need of renovations and a staff that cares about the property and it's guest.

Building felt older and not kept up. Lighting in room and building very poor. A can light in our bathroom in the wall that shone across the top of the room rather than down from the ceiling. Couldn't see well in the bathroom mirror due to lighting. Only one lamp beside our bed which made the room dark. Must had been a water leak going on. Our bathroom ceiling was crumbling and a hole cut out in the hallway ceiling outside our room. The bathtub was damaged and the water facet wore out. It moved on its own while showering and changed water temperature on you. A lot of pets stay here. Saw 6 dogs get off the elevator in the lobby while eating our breakfast. Breakfast was ok but have had better. Convenient right along the Interstate if traveling.

Unfortunately, this place was unkept, unclean and run down. The breakfast was limited, but okay. Unfortunately, the tables were not wiped or being wiped down in between diners.

The pros were the person that checked us in was very friendly and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the bed skirt was visibly dirty as were many areas of the room. I’d stay elsewhere!

Stayed at hotel for one night on our way back to Michigan on our Florida vacation. Hotel was not bad but needed some updates. The smoke detector in our room was absent and we found it in one of the drawers. Also, hotel was just needed an update overall.

Room was filthy, walls splattered with something, bathroom old and not clean, closet and all doors dirty. We looked at another room and it was even dirtier. Lobby and hallways run down, missing light fixtures and holes in ceiling. Breakfast food was left out all night and in morning nothing new was added. Packaged peanut butter was so old it was solid hard when opened.

The hotel staff were courteous and friendly. The room was clean, and the breakfast was acceptable. Hotel is showing its age, though there were signs of recent renovations. Some of the bathroom caulking needed attention. Bed was very comfortable. Contrary to some of the other reviews that suggested that dogs stayed free, I was charged $17 for one night stay. This should be apparent on the website, but was not. Overall, good value.

Although the staff is friendly and tries to support your needs .. the property ownership and maintenance is lacking in detail of cosmetic and room oversight .. we found the paint in main hallway needing refreshed as it was scarred up and looked under appreciated .. the room had a main door that the master lock would not engage fir security kicking and looked to be misaligned to the frame .. the bathroom door was also not adjusted correctly and had misaligned hinges that made the door stick and took a lot of effort to close and open correctly .. the bathtub/shower was neglected with loose faucet assembly and caulking that was discolored or missing to seal off backsplash . Hotel management needs to take more pride in the property and better oversight of the amenities that we have taken for granted at other LaQuinta properties

I checked into my room later in the evening after a long drive and found the room condition not safe to support my families medical condition. I returned to the front desk to inform them I would like to check out. I asked for a refund and they stated I would need to call during business hours. I contacted Orbitz to assist and the hotel told Orbitz I did not enter the room and they denied my refund request. This was completely not accurate.
This hotel does not work with customers and I would not recommend.

Pros I would say access to shops and restaurants were relatively close. Staff was nice. We stayed in a king sized room very large. Cons was not well kept. Looks like mold around the tub and magic marker on bathroom wall. Needs updating. But it was just what you pay for. Waiting to find out if and when they are going to correct the double payment.

The hotel did exceed our expectations with clean room, lobby, and the surroundings. It was a nice surprise! The staff is excellent, very polite and helpful.
Only things is the remodeling work on level 1 during the day time which was a bit noisy while I was working. I hope this gets over soon and they will have quaint environment.
Other than that, everything else is perfect and I would be very happy to stay here again. Highly recommended for convenience, price and quality of beds.

Room door would not stay locked, the carpet was making it so the door wouldnt shut all the way. Had to get a 2nd pair of card keys, and peep hole was covered with tape, i do not know why. There was crack in the floor where the refrigerator stayed. The bathroom shower head was dirty and faucet leaked. The little closet where you can hang your clothes had an opening in the bottom, to what looked like the water pipes. Im not completely sure.
The best thing was how the front desk clerk was, she was so sweet!

I do not know this establishment has \"Good\" review rating. I've stayed at many La Quintas in the past and this one is not at all up to the standards I've experienced at others. I would have left immediately had the booking not been non-refundable

As soon as we walked in it was clear this place is in need of major repairs. There's water damage and large holes on the ceilings in the shared areas. The halls smelled musty and the carpets had large stains all over. The room was ok, not great but clean enough. The rest of the hotel and its poor level of upkeep and cleanliness gave me the creep crawlies and made sleeping here rough. Unfortunately, in the morning I found all the towels were heavily stained. They smelled clean but the large stains all over them disgusted us. We decided to forgo showering, check out and continue on our travels. The included breakfast didn't appear bad, but there was barely anything there when we checked at 7:15AM nearly two hours before it ends. There was no hurry to refill it either as we watched the woman taking care of it check the food and then proceed to sit at the front desk and play on her phone. On top of this I was double charged. I prepaid in full on hotels.com, then my card was charged again by the hotel during online check in. I assumed it was an incidental hold but it finalized. I tried to get a refund from the hotel itself as this was their mistake, but they were unwilling. Hotels.com took care of the refund for me in the end.

The manager or person in charge couldn't care less and made no attempt to refill anything. I had cereal. At least 10 other people entered the breakfast area after me to the same result. After driving 10+ hours checked in late (10 pm) Saturday 8-23-25 room 225 sheets were stained. Towels stained, calking around sink was terrible. Felt dirty smelled musty. Went down for breakfast at 8 am, no eggs, waffle mix & syrup was very low, coffee not marked regular or decalf, went back to room at 9:15 am, after a light knock on door maid used key to open door. My spouse was in the shower asked her to come back in 30 minutes. Not a pleasant experience.

The next room we received was in terrible condition. Smudge of something dark on the bathroom wall, completely rusted lamps, finger prints on the nightstand, and a tissue shoved in the peeep hole. Very hard bed!

This property needs some serious updating. The bathroom in our room was very. Diminished the breakfast. Food sparse not like it was in the pictures. Staff was very friendly property outside. Need some work. Somebody ran over the mailbox and knocked it completely over the pool look clean. The positives are you are close to I 75 and a ton of different places to eat. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I’ve never been in a hotel room that has the band this rundown.

I have to say my stay was good at best but overall i was satisfied. They are doing or have done some remodeling but in that aspect again i was satisfied. We stayed at this hotel as the Holiday Inn Express was full. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express there earlier in the week, and it is excellent. The Laquinta front lady was very nice at check-in. The string of cars behind us was large as it was storming. The beds were fine. The room and bathroom was not. The towels were stained, The bathroom door frame was broken. Not all lamps in the room worked. Two holes in the wall had unfinished patches on them. The morning breakfast from 5:30 - 9 was terrible. We got there at 6:30. There were only three guests there, The buffet had, 6 cold biscuits, pan of scrambled eggs, some sausage patties, 6 blueberry muffins, 1 yogurt, 1 bagel, cereal dispensers, a few pieces of bread in the case and coffee dispensers. I would not want to be there when all of the guests got up. You can pass on this hotel if possible. I wish that I had taken pictures,

Don’t believe the teviews

It was supposedly an 8.2. Holes in ceiling and stuff? On walls. Flies on tables. Hot water for tea brown with things in it. Bathtub faucet and toilet seat loose. Is there any better way to check your hotels since the reviewers and health department don’t? I would have gladly paid more for the two other hotels. It was a kennel with zipping dogs.
