The staff are lovely and very friendly.
The food we had was nice. Breakfast was a basic selection, eggs, 2 thai dishes, salad, pancakes, chicken, sausage, pancake, fruit, cereal and cakes.
All the restaurants on the island close at 9pm.
I think the stretch of beach at the hotel was the nicest we saw.
The room was nice and big.
Electricity to the rooms shuts off between 10am and 3pm.
There is a small playpark.

If staying here make sure your boat drops you at Fantasy. Boats stop outside the hotel

Very tired hotel, the door to our room had gap at the bottom and around one side, so had to roll a towel up and wedge under the door so we didn’t get any unwelcome visitors in the night! Breakfast very basic! However the beach bar was excellent, nice coffee and great cocktails. The staff were also very friendly.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting in an ideal location on this tiny island. It is really idyllic. The hotel is a little tired but the pricing reflects this. We had a very comfortable stay. The dive centre was also located here. Transfers were also easy as the drop off / collection point was at this hotel. The staff were very helpful.

Resort was overall very nice. Incredible beach and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was very good with lots of different choices. We stayed in a deluxe room which said it had a partial sea view which it absolutely not true. There is only one room with a sea view and that is 101. The air conditioner is located on the front deck which makes it impossible to enjoy the deck because of the heat and noise coming from the air conditioner. When I inquired about the view at the front desk They blamed it on the site that I booked on. 🤔 Overall this is a beautiful resort. We had a great 3 nights stay & were lucky to have the tides just right for swimming most of the day. We stayed in a superior double with a partial sea view, which was in fact a full sea view. Room 101, however these rooms do need a bit of renovation & repositioning of the airconditioner motors as they are on the veranda & noisy. The grounds are really well maintained as is the swimming pool area, but there are areas that need some maintenance. Breakfast buffet was O.K., but not very interesting. Same Same everyday. Plenty to eat, but a bit mundane. The restaurant menu is pretty extensive with both western & Thai kitchens. The curries were really good & an average price. We had cocktails @ Happy Hour for 180baht (normal price 200baht) not a brilliant deal & they weren't 'loaded' with alcohol either!! They need to get this right. Staff are really friendly & there are various areas to eat & drink which is great for varying weather conditions. Looking at all the options on Koh Ngai we believe we made the right choice for position & value for money & would choose Fantasy again if we were to go back to Ngai

Resort is managed very well. All the staff working to have nice clean area outdoor and indoor too. Waiter can speak english OK (not usual in Thailand´s islands). Helpful receptionist.
Beautiful beach, cleaned every day. We can compare with another hotel in Ko Lanta and Ko Mook in similar price - this is absolutely the best, one level upper.

Best beach!

Enjoyed our short stay at Koh Hai fantasy resort. The resort in general could use some updates, but it was still good. Not much going on on the island other than the resorts, so glad we only spent two nights. One of the best beaches we went to! Water was super clear. Restaurant was good and had lots of choices, which was nice since we ate there most of the time. Would return for the beach!

When we first arrived we were so excited as the boat pulled in...and although the rooms were a little dated , we were steps from the gorgeous beach. We had a problem with our air con leaking everywhere but we were moved and they offered us dry cleaning services for any wet clothes. They were super kind and although I think this resort has aged we would def come back without a doubt ....also the snorkelling was amazing x Also there were quite a few children but it didn't bother us....one point if your a business guy that needs Internet this isn't the place for you .

Be careful when booking transfers with this hotel the information given to us was incorrect and we got stuck on three boats and two vans just to get back to Phuket when we asked we were told of two straight forward stops we made it to Phuket 10 hrs later don't book here ! Pros:
- Staff is very friendly and well trained- hard to find in Thailand
- been upgraded to a room with great view for free
- probably most \"high end\" hotel on the island
- great beach with no coral outside of the hotel, but walk 50m either way and you find coral for snorkling

Cons:
- Tour/transfer booking staff have no clue what they book- booked speed Ferry straight to Phuket but got turtle ferry+ crazy 3 hour in speedboat.
- Food/drinks are a bit overpriced, but hotel on the left offers great cocktails at 110B and Camping offers larger portions at same price but their cocktails are bad.

Best vacation ever!

For the money, this hotel is top notch. Best beach in Thailand.
The restaurant is very good, and well priced.
Very well run resort. Seafood buffet is worth dining. My only suggestion is to drop the price of a glass of wine. Two ounces for 200 B. Or, better yet, bring your own to the island.

Koh Ngai is most expensive and least beautiful

Koh Ngai is most expensive and less beautiful than nearby Koh Mook or Koh Kradan. There isn't even a store, so the hotel will just gouge you on the price of everything. Go eat next door, there's a reasonably priced and delicious local restaurant if you leave this hotel and turn left on the beach. I am SO GLAD we didn't book a one week holiday here - Koh Mook is so much better, with a local village, restaurants, and a really fun open air pub. This island was just all families.

Expedia blew it, The resort made it worse.

The biggest issue was the management, though they are not completely at fault, as Expedia really dropped the ball on this one. I will be reluctant to book with Expedia again. A few days before traveling I had to modify my reservation, instead Expedia suggested I cancel the original itinerary and make a new booking. So we did. Once they confirmed my new reservation and cancellation of the old one, It seemed everything was in order. When we checked in to our resort, there was some confusion, but it got done. Later, the next day, an employee of the resort approaches me telling me that I have two bookings and I need to pay for the other one. I am then confronted by management, insisting that I pay for ,what I was told by Expedia, my cancelled booking. I told them that this was between them and Expedia, but they insisted that they had no contact with Expedia, that Expedia deals with their main office in Bangkok. They put me on the phone with the main office. For 30 minutes I was argued with, without any reason or remorse, that I HAD to pay. Finally, refusing to pay, I hung up and spent the next few hours on the phone trying to reach Expedia, on hold for an hour until finally I gave up. I don't know at the end of the day who was really at fault here, but I imagine it was some sort of miscommunication. Expedia confirmed to me that they had contacted the resort and that my original booking was cancelled, the resort said they never received any information from Expedia.

Clean, comfortable and great location

Overall this is a really good option for Ko Ngai. The resort is on the nicest, cleanest stretch of beach. The grounds are very clean and the resort has good service and reasonable restaurant & mini mart prices considering the limited options available. The beachfront room was basic but comfortable - and had the most beautiful view. We were very happy with our choice.

We stayed in a cottage with a view of the ocean. Fantastic..... Food and beach...and staff all first rate. Prices in the restaurant were the same as the other beach places......so, why go out.
Hotel buffet on Tueday night was fabulous.....

Excellent Value for Money - Hotel on Beach

We enjoyed our stay at the Kohhai Fantasy Resort. It is a resort hotel on Koh Hai ( Koh Ngai) right on the beach. It is well run and Koh Ngai is a paradise island with resorts on one beach with a coral reef out front. The resort is fairly large and can seem a bit of factory, however it is well run. Our room was very good value, although it did not have a sea view it was one minute from the beach and had everything we needed. Service was friendly and efficient.Food was fine much better than some reviewers mentioned. Coral reef was fantastic for snorkelling!!

This mid level hotel is situated on a beautiful stretch of sand with perfect blue waters. Rooms were clean and pleasant - with ceiling fans and noisy air-con. Lovely pool which was a good size.
Food was average but service terrible.
Great spa and reasonably priced.

Not a great deal to do at night.

Værelset og de resterende faciliteter var udmærket, fin pool og hurtig rengøring af værelserne om morgenen. Dog var personalet i restauranten noget af det mest ugidelige og inkompetente vi længe har oplevet. Maden tog meget lang tid om at blive lavet på trods af ingen andre gæster i restauranten. Flere gange er en persons mad blevet serveret lang tid før den andens, ved henvendelse til personale omkring hvornår man kunne forvente resten af selskabet mad, grinte de bare. Antageligt forstod de ikke hvad der blev sagt. Første aften bestilte jeg en beef baguette hvor der var garn i brødet, jeg kontaktede servitricen som rodede med sin fingre i brødet og fik google oversæt frem til at fortælle at det var garn, uden yderligere handling. Skulle også betale for det måltid. Generelt en personalestab i restauranten med en usmagelig tilgang til kunderne. Deres vestlige retter er mildt sagt også til grin, hold jer til ting hvor alt liv og smag kan frituresteges ihjel.

Pænt resort med god beliggenhed. Personalet er hurtige og hjælpsomme. Rengøringen sidder næsten klar til at gøre værelset klar når man går til morgenmaden. Ærgerligt at de ikke selv efterlever princippet om at bruge håndklæder i flere dage for at spare på vask.

Ko Hai und das Fantasy Resort sind ein Traum.
Alle Mitarbeiter haben sich rührend um uns gekümmert.
Wir waren allerdings auch 2 Tage lang die einzigen Gäste in der Low Saison Ende Mai.

Hotellområdena är fina och fräscha. Läget är toppen. Det går att bada hela dagen trots lågvatten. Vi bodde i ett standardrum med ac. Storleksmässigt var rummet bra men standarden var väldigt sliten. Frukosten var god men den fylldes inte på trots att det var en timme kvar.

Poolen var fin. Solstolar finns både vid stranden och vid poolen.

Rekommenderar för att läget är toppen och att det är en bra pool.

Vi hade 2 fantastiska nätter där. Hotellet är bra lite slitet, nu kom vi från 5 stjärnigt boende och då är det lätt att glömma att det är en liten ö med en helt annan puls. Vi hade ett rum med bra läge, nära till allt så vi hade det toppen. Maten på kvällen riktigt bra, prova fisken.
Servicenivån är inre på topp förutom i restaurangen. Men som överallt annars i Thailand väldigt vänliga och hjälpsamma

Øen er dejlig,men vi kan ikke anbefale dette hotel

Vi boede på Fantasy Resort i 3 dage, og følte os decideret uvelkommen af personalet. Det er lavsæson, hvorfor vi stort set var det eneste par. De synes besværede over os hver gang vi spurgte om noget. Vi ankom til Koh Ngai med formålet om at snorkle og sejle i kajak. Så det første vi gjorde var at spørge receptionen om vi måtte leje deres kajak. Det måtte vi ikke fordi det var lavsæson og der var bølger. Der var ikke en vind der rørte sig og vi har aldrig set mere roligt vand. Vi gik over til et andet Resort, som gerne ville låne os dem hvis vi havde boet hos dem. Da vi gik tilbage og sagde det, måtte vi pludselig gerne.
Vi havde fået et standard værelse med en aircondition der ikke kunne køle rummets temperatur lavere end 25-27 grader. Dette forsøgte vi at forklare til receptionen, men det blev ikke venligt modtaget. Faktisk endte det med at receptionisten talte sit eget sprog, forlod os i 5 min, kom tilbage med favnen fyldt med 10 forskellige nøgler, og så ville hun vise os, at sådan var alle airconditions på stedet. Det var en eksemplarisk uhøflig behandling og det fik os til at føle os rigtig uvelkomne.
Øen derimod er fuldstændig uimodståelig, men vælg et andet hotel. Personalet på Koh Ngai Resort ved siden af virkede rigtig venlige på trods af at det var lavsæson :-)

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Fantasy Resort. Anreise mit Speedboat und Longtailboat ist unkompliziert, klappt bestens. Die Insel bezaubert durch ihren tollen Strand, die Unterkünfte sind eher einfach, aber absolut ok und passend zur Insel. Unser Zimmer war einfach eingerichtet, Matratze im Zustellbett steinhart, Wasser im Bad salzig und nicht immer warm. Pool nicht so einladend. Mitarbeiter sehr hilfsbereit. Abendessen im Hotel war lecker und das Frühstück ist auch ok. Für eine Nacht ok, aber nicht gerade für zwei Wochen. Thai Massage im Hotel gebucht, war recht schmerzhaft:)! Das Meer ist traumhaft.

We stayed for 7 days in a Hillside Superior room. Hillside is on a hill, don’t stay in this part, if you have problems with your legs. We enjoyed the fabulous view over the resort and Koh Ma in the distance from our balcony. There are only 5 umbrellas on the beach and 90 rooms... Buy some more! All the staff were very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the food and the cocktails at Koh Ngai Camping restaurant next door. Fantasy is located on the best part of the beach.

Fedt resort, men dyr mad og kiosk.

Resorted er designet fedt, men trænger til en opfriskning. Dog ikke noget slemt, men det trænger. Vanvittig lækker strand. Der er en lille bitte legeplads til de mindste.

Maden er dyr og portionerne små. Ca 2-3x BKK priser. Det er det eneste resort på øen som tager Ca 17% ekstra i tax på alt i restauranten.

Ved siden af resortet ligger Koh Ngai Camping Restaurant som er ca 20% billigere og maden lækker.

Hotelli oli vanhahko ja huoneet kuluneita. Viihtyvyyteen ei oltu panostettu. Uima-allas oli huono (pieni ja epäsiistin näköinen. Rantatuoleja liian vähän hotellin kokoon nähden. Ravintola oli ihan ok, mutta aamupala oli mitäänsanomaton. Hotellin sijainti oli hyvä. Ranta oli hyvä. Suihkun vesi seilasi jatkuvasti kylmästä kuumaan.

Mycket nöjd.

Jag är mycket nöjd med våra dagar. Andra gången vi är där och kommer gärna igen. Snyggt och välordnat. Trevlig personal. Utmärkt frukost. Maten fö också god. Prisnivån aningen hög jämförelsevis med Koh Mook. Dock ett par saker : Wifi är så där. Man får leta sig fram bland flera nätverk tills man hittar det som är bäst just då. Gästernas oskick att markera solstolar på morgonen och sen komma fram på förmiddagen och sätta sig. Bort med handdukar från stolarna. Det är inte fler stolar än att någon kan hålla koll. Jag som gäst kunde det.

Godt og noget skidt

Fantasy ligger helt fantastisk ved en dejlig strand med fint h dit sand og Koralrevet er nu beskyttet og vi glæder os derfor til at komme igen. Der er fint og rent på værelset, men at vi skulle til receptionen 3 gange før vi fik ordnet vandhane og bruserhoved, før der kom en stråle vand ud havde vi ikke ventet. Solstole var ikke repareret, og en madras på en seng på terrassen var gået op i syningen, altså ingen vedligehold og meget slidt.

Fantastisk strand

Stranden er fantastisk.
Man kan snorkle direkte fra stranden. Der er meget tidevand . Ved lavvande kan man gå ud til koralrevet. Til gengæld er det ikke så pænt som ved højvande.
Vi opgraderede til et bedre værelse, der var ok men manglede stikkontakter.
Meget venligt personale. God morgenmad og god restaurant.
Man ankommer enten til stranden eller til en pier , hvor der skiftes til langtailboat. Kun få skridt gennem vandet og personalet hjælper med bagagen.

Både våran å grannens ac dånade så det gick knappt och sova. Stängde man sen av ac:n å körde fläkten dåna den lika illa.. Inget varmvatten i duschen!
Annars jättefint boende med paradisstrand utanför
Bra att man kan sätta upp allt på rummet å betala vid avfärd när kontanterna är slut

Underbar ö, ok hotell

Underbar ö med fina stränder (missa inte att hajka till Paradise beach på andra sidan och håll utkik efter varanerna!). Trevlig resort med skiftande kvalite på rummen. Inga fyra stjärnor men tre starka! Lämpar sig för dem som vill ta det lugnt, par och barnfamiljer.

Rentoa lomailua paratiisisaarella

Päädyimme olemaan Koh Ngailla ja Fantasy Resortissa neljän yön sijaan kuusi yötä. Majoituimme kahdessa eri paikassa, ensimmäiset yöt ylempänä rinteessä isossa mökissä ja loput päivistä rannan tuntumassa rivitalohuoneistossa. Molemmat majoitukset olivat siistejä, mutta vaatisivat paljon kohennusta. Mukava henkilökunta, ravintolan hintoihin tulee automaattisesti tippi ja alv. Ravintolat menee saarella jo klo21 kiinni. Ruokailut voi tehdä huoneen piikkiin ja maksaa viimeisenä päivänä käteisellä tai kortilla. Resortin rantahiekka on siisti ja merivesi kirkasta. Rannassa peruskuntoiset aurinkotuolit ja pyyhkeitä sai respasta. Meidän aikana oli mukavasti muita turisteja, ei kuitenkaan liikaa. Aamiainen ok, perustasoa. Kajakkeja voi varata tuntihinnalla ja hotellin viereisestä kojusta sai varattua päiväretkiä ja kyytejä. Saaren toiselle puolelle voi mennä sademetsäpolkua pitkin. Fantasy Resort sijaitsi hyvällä paikalla Koh Ngailla ja rantaviivaa oli reilusti.

Ikke et rart sted.

Vi synes at Kohhai Fantasy resort var bestemte ikke nogen rart sted.
Der var mange mange gæster ,men kun omkring 35 strandstole.
En eftermiddag måtte jeg tage over til nabo ejendommen for at finde en stole.
Vores værelse var et \" standard værelse\".. Det var \"substandard\"
Der var udsigt til en mur som var omkring to tre meter fra døren.
\" Terrassen \" havde to stole som sad ved aircondition compressoren. Den blæser meget varm luft ude ! Det var godt til at tørre tøj med umuligt at opholde sig derude ! Rummet var slidt , håndtaget til døren i badeværelset var i stykker. Andet inventar i badeværelset også defekt.
Det var den første hotel værelse jeg har været i i det sidste 15 år som ikke havde en el kedel , med mulighed til at lave kaffe/te i værelset.
Morgenmaden var ok.. men udrikkeligt kaffe !!!
De serverer forfærdligt kaffe , men på bordet er der en reklame for deres Cafe som sælger diverse Kaffe typer.. FRÆKT !!!
Nabo ejendommen havde en fint beach bar.
Personallet var flinkt. Havene var velpasset , området ved poolen og poolen er smukke.
Jeg vil ikke anbefale stedet.

Standard Zimmer nicht zu empfehlen: alt, verwohnt, AC zu laut, mehrere kleine Defekte (Wasserhahn, Fernbedienung TV, WC Sitz lose). Bei Beschwerde wird Upgrade auf Gardenview Bungalow angeboten für +1100 TBt. Zimmer doppelte Größe, AC gut und bis auf WC Sitz alles in Ordnung. Frühstück wird schnell langweilig, jeden Tag gleich, insbesonders beim Obst.
