Excellent choice for being close to Krabi airport. We had 1 day/night stay here before a flight. It was luxurious, clean, unique. Enjoyed the huge pool and kayaking. We used the 6pm shuttle from the hotel in to Ao Nang to go for dinner so didn’t eat at the restaurant, but snacks/drinks at the pool bar were good. Family suite with interconnecting rooms was excellent - huge and beautiful decor. I wouldn’t choose it as a base for exploring the beaches but for what we needed it was perfect.

Staff was very lovely but most of them didn’t speak English well so it was difficult to try and ask them things.

Huge, clean room. Loved the bathroom, which was not a common setup in Thailand. Breakfast buffet was great. Very peaceful and relaxing. Pool is a huge oasis. So glad I chose to stay here and not on the overcrowded, touristy, dirty beaches.

Lovely rooms and property. Fun to explore with family—we saw all kinds of lizards, monkeys and birds. Some staff were great-very friendly. Front staff couldn’t tell us anything about the restaurant and cleaning staff came at odd times and left garbage outside for hours. Overall the price point is worth it but staff could be more helpful and restaurant for dinner could be cheaper.

The room was very nice and clean, beautiful pool area, restaurant was delicious and friendly staff. We had a big bug in our room and the sink was clogged upon arrival, these issues were resolved quickly. On our last night we returned to the room arround 5pm only to find the toilet had overflown and we had sewage water all over the bathroom. It smelled terrible. We called the lobby, they sent someone to look. We spoke to the staff in the lobby who said they can work on it while we're out. We had to use the pool outdoor shower to quickly get ready to leave. To our surprised when we returned to our room around 11pm the toilet was not fixed, the bathroo was not cleaned. They just put a towel over the toilet. No communication from staff about what was happening. We called to ask for an update, they told us there's nothing they can do and we would have to sleep in that room with no working bathroom, but they can bring us to the bathroom in the lobby when needed. They offered us a small refund to stay in that room which we declined. After speaking with staff again, a staff member came to our door and offered us a room next door but only to use the bathroom for the night, we couldn't stay there. We declined that offer and invited her in to see and smell the mess in the bathroom. She took pictures and the offered us the room next door for the night. By this time it was midnight, we packed our stuff and moved next door for the night. Terrible experience for our last night in Krabi.

This resort has the structure and ambiance of a 4 star resort but is unfortunately run like a 3 star resort. We were pretty surprised that the staff at the hotel weren't very nice, especially compared to other Thailand hotels. Housekeeping never came (we stayed 4 nights) and we always had to call around 5pm to request they come to our room. They offer free shuttles to Ao Nang and Railay Beach but space is limited and every time we tried to sign up (several hours in advance) they told us it was fully booked already. The pool doesn't serve alcohol and every time we came we struggled to find a place to sit. It also took us about 10 minutes of walking to get from the room to the pool. You can ask for a ride from the lobby but it's often a 10-15 min wait. All in all, we were a bit disappointed with our stay.

This property is absolutely amazing. It is extremely beautiful. It is not beachfront, but it is lagoon front. You have the villas right over the lagoon. It’s nice and quiet and then you can take an easy four dollar bolt ride and be at the ocean. Where it is hustle and bustle, and then you can leave the hustle and bustle and come back to quiet.

We had a great stay. It is beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

The location is about 5 minutes from the pier.

They help with transport but only have specific times for different free transport to railey and the night market.

If we get the chance to come back to krabi we will book here. We booked beginning of December and had minimal issues with mosquitos or bugs.

Again it was a wonderful stay and experience.

The hotel was nice. What you’d expect for the price you pay. The rooms were an ok size, we had an outside bathroom which was quite a novelty that the kids loved.

The swimming pool was amazing! Huge pool which my kids (5, 3, 1) loved.

Breakfast was limited. As vegetarians there wasn’t many options, mainly pastry’s or eggs.

The location was peaceful, but a bit far from anything. If we were to stay again we’d need a car just to get around

Beautiful tranquil place surrounded by luscious trees and water canals, spacious water villas with great comfortable beds and super clean sheets and towels. Very friendly staff especially at the reception: Forest, Yuyah, Guchi Tam, Dapa, Som-o, Mim, Davord we incredibly helpful and polite. We have prolonged our stay by one more day/ 5 nights and are grateful for all the hospitality and support we have received. Including a doctor’s. If you like a quite place and don’t want to be disturbed then this place is an ideal spot for you.

Hired motorbikes from hotel and only it took 15 mins to Aonang beach where there were many shops and places to eat. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

The hotel was amazing. Probsbly the best hotel I have stayed in across Asia. 60m pool is unreal. Everything is so clean and tidy, with immaculate gardens. It is so peaceful and quiet, day and night. Staff are happy to chauffeur you around in golf buggies. The rooms and balconies/decking outside look over the lake. The breakfast and restaurants for lunch/dinner are also incredible. Just consider that they do not serve alcohol, so stock up in the local 7/11 if necessary. The hotel offer free transport into the local town, Ao Nang, and also a free taxi/boat service to Railay Beach once a day.

This is a really special hotel. Immersed in the mangroves, with beautifully designed wooden villas it feels like true Thai luxury at an affordable price. I worried initially because it wasn’t near the beach but this didn’t matter at all. The pool is great and it’s great to be among all the wildlife of the mangroves. Would definitely recommend Venice Villas.

Incredible stay at this beautiful, quiet eco resort. The customer service was outstanding from everyone but in particular Slind, who hosts the evening dinner at the hotel restaurant and the lunch service at the near by Na Mi Chay Cafe. Nothing was too much to ask from Slind and he was always one step ahead in addressing needs and wants from customers. All of this with a big smile and positive attitude. He was lovely to speak to and makes a huge difference to the experience of staying at Venice Krabi.

Exceeded our expectations. The staff were beyond lovely and couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. Location was perfect for us - slightly set back but not far from local streets, shops, food and coffee. Everyone we encountered was lovely. Kayaking on the mangroves was beautiful - we wish we could stay longer to do and see more. Utterly peaceful and so clean. Could not recommend enough. We can’t wait to come back!

*HINT* pay the extra for the jacuzzi bath villa. SO worth it!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is stunning, offering a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. Our room was well-appointed with all necessary amenities, and the private deck overlooking the lagoon was a highlight.

One aspect I was unaware of before arrival is that the hotel does not sell alcohol. However, guests are permitted to bring their own and consume it in the restaurant without any corkage fees.

The dining experience was inconsistent. Over my three-night stay, I chose to dine at the on-site restaurant each evening. While the food was good and reasonably priced, the service varied. On two nights, the service was excellent, but on the second night, it was chaotic. The staff seemed disorganized, and despite multiple complaints, our meal took an hour and a half to arrive—and was incorrect when it finally did.

The hotel is somewhat isolated, with the nearest supermarket a 15- to 20-minute walk away. However, they offer two complimentary excursions: a boat trip to Railay Beach and an evening van transfer to Ao Nang, both of which require advance booking. Additionally, Grab taxis are available via the app for transportation.

Overall, this property is ideal for those seeking peace, quiet, and a nature-filled escape. However, guests should be prepared for its remote location and occasional service inconsistencies.

The resort was extremely peaceful but they lack enough pool beds and it is far from the main Ao Nang beach area. They claim to have free shuttles but its 2x a day and they can only fit 8 people. It is often booked and you end up taking your own transportation. The staff at the resort does not book or help with transportation to and from the hotel. They tell you to book your own grab.

Please note that the resort is completely unresponsive and uncontactable prior to arriving. I tried to call and email the resort about changing my booking and no one replied. I then reached out to hotels.com who tried 5-6 times to call AND email and Krabi Venice never responded. When I arrived and asked about it they said their contact area was separate and could not speak to why there was no contact/response.

Overall I cannot recommend a place that is unavailable to cancel or modify bookings. If you have any issue after booking or during your stay they will not help.

This property is aesthetically beautiful! The rooms are large and so calm and relaxing! Loved the quiet of Au Nam beach reataurants. I didn't find the staff super helpful. We stayed in othet places for 30/night and they were the most friendly and supportive! The front desk seemed to just assume everyone knew what was going on. Sent me on a wild goose chase restaurant to restaurant looking for food ehen nothing was open and I wondered why they didnt know that or share with me when I was asking them about restaurants and getting food. The rooms are huge and also beautiful, but SO hot. Would take me over an hour to cool mine off from 32 celsius after a day out. I think part of the provlem is there was a big gap at the top and bottom of thr door, which also allowed bugs in from the standinf water. I got the most bites in this location. Glad I stayed to experience it. I probably would find somewhere else for the money next time.

From the moment we arrived, among the lush foliage, and warm, friendly staff, I knew we had made an excellent choice. The grounds are so tranquil, though you can hear the wildlife at night. Settled among a reflective water canal you can find a picturesque spot about every 10 feet. About a 12 minute drive from Ao Nang beach. Grab (rideshare) Tuk-Tuk, shuttle or taxis make it easy to get anywhere.

Expérience incroyable, hôtel resort totalement unique. Le dépaysement dans le dépaysement, un marais totalement isolé de tout qui nous plonge dans une ambiance reposante. Le restaurant est un plaisir pour les yeux et le ventre. Il y a de tout et si le choix est difficile l’hôtel vous guide avec des recommandations sur son menu. La piscine est spacieuse et très calme parfaite pour se reposer et se rafraîchir. Il y’a aussi un service gratuit pour l’aller retour à Railey Beach.

Toute ces belles choses sont impossibles sans le personnel exceptionnel de Venice.

Le meilleur choix possible si vous souhaitez venir à Krabi.

Not Recommended: rooms surrounded by stagnant and very dirty water.
All the rooms are built on stilts, they are over water bungalows. We have seen the photos and thought it could be very nice. However, the water is stagnant and very dirty, we were in the hotel during the low tide. There is no maintenance around the rooms, all dried flowers and plants, at least the rooms next to ours looked abandoned. Even the wood of our was falling apart. I am talking about the external part. The room inside was nice but the material used for the sinks is of bad quality and therefore the sinks look very dirty, same as the shower: the high part is not clean probably because the maids need a ladder to do it.
The swimming pool is very nice and very long. However, due to the strange design of the hotel (water all over) we needed a shuttle to go from our room (which was located next to the reception) to the swimming pool, as there was no bridge built from our room to the swimming pool area.
The service at the reception is slow and there was no personnel to assist you with the luggage. The reception staff was reluctant to assist you with taxis, etc No proper space in the room for the suitcases, you had to keep them on the floor.
The only positive thing of this hotel is the food, breakfast and dinner, good quality and tasty.
Suggestion: do not allow the cats to be in the dinning room.

Stunning rooms/grounds/pool, staff lacking care.

The resort is simply stunning. The architecture and attention to detail made for a dreamy picturesque escape. The check in staff and most employees were very friendly. The pool is out of this world.

Things we found surprising were the lack of attention/care in maintaining a polished feel throughout our stay. Towels, garbage, bottles, all piled up by the pool and stayed there overnight, often not getting cleared until midday the following day, if at all. We ordered room service and the plates sat outside our room for our entire stay (through check out), even after notifying staff they had been sitting there overnight. The room has one small roll of toilet paper that lasts maybe 2 uses, leading us to ask for more daily.

It just felt like the staff didn’t care. The pool bar attendant hid behind the counter playing on their phone and very little attention was given to guests. If you can manage your expectations around this, it’s a unique enough spot to have on your list.

My wife and me enjoyed the stay on the whole. Friendly and quick staff helped us with luggage and room service. However,we found it a bit difficult to spend hours before our check-in time (2pm) as the only flight to Krabi arrived at 7/8am. As temperatures can be very hot, we had to look for a cool place to sit and going to town was not an option as it is far and you need to book their Ao Nang and other free shuttle services in advance.
We were on our honeymoon and my wife had fallen sick, not a good start. But, the room was very beautiful, room service was fast and our Jacuzzi was decorated with flower petals. The only gripe is the hot water was shut down throughout our stay and only the showers had them working. When we tried contacting them, reception was unavailable in the evening. This could just be bad luck but it would have been great if they had checked the hot water beforehand as they did fill the jacuzzi with water.
Fix these and I would give it 5stars.

Disorganized and Chaotic

Positives: Beautiful property, well-maintained rooms, and friendly staff. However, our overall experience had significant drawbacks:

Staff lacked proper customer service training, resulting in long check-in/check-out delays due to understaffing and disorganization.

Shuttle services were limited, requiring advance appointments with uncertain seat availability, leading to potential delays. If you end up getting a seat on the shuttle, it will likely be late since they have 1 shuttle leaving the resort to drop off and returning to pick up others.

Mediocre food and unattended buffet dishes in the main restaurant due to staff socializing with each other instead of proactively refilling dishes and making sure coffee machines work.

Housekeeping services seems to have started late in the day, causing delays and inconvenience, with guests leaving used items outside their rooms for extended periods.

Overall, we wouldn't recommend staying here. The services provided do not justify their costs. We had to arrange our own transportation during our stay because the staff seemed unreliable, and even allocated an extra 30 minutes before check-out at the front desk to allow the staff to get everything together and check us out the room so we could make it to our flight back on time.

We enjoyed this place so much. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. Kong our server at the restaurant was very friendly and made sure we felt comfortable while waiting for our food. He provided us with excellent customer service throughout our stay. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking to relax and have some peace and quiet time. The property has a complementary shuttle to Ao Nang Beach.

Not sure what to think. The resort is very pretty and rooms are great. However, when I'm spending top dollar on accommodation Im expecting the servixe to be at that level too. It was not. The staff spoke hardly any english and was not helpful, and the only lady who spoke English (seemed to be the manager) was not friendly and it rubbed on all the staff.
Another big drawback was NO ALCOHOL served at all, not even at the restaurant. I probably would've been fine with this if it was mentioned somewhere and i could've sipped my own wine in the room. I'm on a holiday and alcohol is simply a part of the package. Citating their website: \"Relax with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge or the poolside bar.\" Sorry but for many the favourite drink is not watermelon juice.Pleqse update this info!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! The staff are so friendly and go over the top to ensure your stay is comfortable. We are a couple on our honeymoon and when we entered the room it was decorated with flower petals and a lovely cake. This hotel has all the facilities you need for coming to Thailand. Det var et smukt belligende værelse, med en flot svømmingpool og et godt fitness. Vi fik roomservice én enkelt gang, det var vi ikke tilfredse med, da det tog over en time at lave maden og vi var nødt til at ringe til receptionen da de ikke var påbegyndt tilberedning af vores med efter 40min.

Un hotel incroyable avec une chambre de style traditionnel sur pilotis avec la baignoire sur le balcon.
Le personnel est d'une grande gentillesse et nous a rendu service pour aller voir le médecin.la piscine est très grande avec une vue sur les maisons disposées comme un village et les collines.
Le petit déjeuner est très variés et le restaurant n'est pas plus cher qu'en ville est très bon.La navette pour aller a raillay est bien pratique.
