My kids and I stayed here for a couple of days. Its a lovely place with friendly, helpful staff. A little bit out of the way and too far to walk to the beach. They supply a ride to take you to the beach, as I don't drive this was very helpful. The only bad point was there is no restaurant, but they do offer snacks in the morning at no extra cost. The views were amazing and if you want quiet, its a peaceful location away from the busy crowds.

The limestone cliffs from the property around the pool were awsome and striking!
The hotel was nice and the room very spacious.

We stayed at this resort 7 years ago and loved it. The pics you see on the website are old ones and now are very misleading. If we could have rates <1 we would have. Extremely run down. No restaurant, not even a pop cooler. A total of 6 broken lounge chairs for pool. Exposed wiring all around pool. No hand rails on main steps. Uneven concrete surfaces everywhere. Landscaping has been abandoned, long grass and neglected. Rooms are horrible. Old, tired old towels thin, ripped. Bed is frightful. Bath smells of sewer gas. Lobby looks abandoned and not welcoming. This is the absolute worse hotel we have stayed in in all our world travels....even worse than 3rd world nation standards. Finally on last morning we go to shower, no water and they could not fix before we had to depart. No shower, no toilet...We paid 155 cad per night and this should have been 50 or less per night. Don't ignore this review, and yes we are picky, but being honest. Book elsewhere...not here.

Additionally, it’s a tad far from the main strip - it’s walkable and there is a shuttle but just keep that in mind as its a bit isolated

An easy Tuk Tuk ride back from the Beach to our quiet location looked over by the local Cliffs.
Swimming pool was nice with a pleasant dinner and breakfasts.
Staff helpful in booking the Ferry and a useful free regular transport into town.

The location was great! Almost like you’re in the jungle and very beautiful scenery and very quiet location. Clean and very nice and kind service. Overall a great stay and would stay again. It’s nice it’s a bit farther out but still close if you want to go out. Only negative aspect is the bed was not very comfortable and could benefit from having a foam topper on it.

Check in was good, especially since I arrived late.
Room itself was nice enough. Plenty of space, good decorations but odd bathroom layout as the sink was outside the bathroom and not near a mirror which made shaving impossible.
Asked to check out late which was granted. Then told to move rooms at 9.30pm on my 2nd night to facilitate this. Only to be told in the morning it wasn't possible. Staff were obnoxious about this, potentially because I was a solo traveller. As for the restaurant I cannot comment on the food but again the service was on par with the hotels. I sat down and waited 20 mins after being noticed and wasn't provided a menu, at which point I left. All in all a shame as a nice quiet family hotel, away from the main strip with a great view however marred with poor service from my experience.

We had a great stay at Phu Petra resort. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon and the staff prepared a nice welcome surprise with a Happy Honeymoon message with flower petals on the bed and swans made out of towels, which was a nice welcome!

We also arranged for an airport pickup and the staff was accommodating to our needs and was flexible when our flight got delayed by 2 hours. The staff responded quickly to my e-mails and had great communication throughout our stay. We enjoyed staying off the main strip in AoNang in a quiet oasis at Phu Petra surrounded by trees and nature. They offered a free shuttle into town and to the resort, which we used several times during our stay. Overall we had a fantastic stay and the staff was very welcoming and friendly! :)

Nice enough hotel, which was very quiet when we stayed. We noticed a few marks on our sheets that wasn’t ideal, plus a cockroach in our bathroom, but they can’t help that much in the location. Staff all very pleasant. The hotel shuttle to town was good but they could offer slightly more frequency on the way back from town. Breakfast was basic due to lack of guests. Overall I’d say nice place, but considering what we paid it could have been better.

Didn't feel safe on this property at all! It's further from town in the hills by itself, which was something we thought would be fun, but we experienced the opposite.
We checked in after 9pm as we got a ride from Phuket (3.5 hrs away). We were very tired at check-in & overheard the receptionist give our driver (a random guy hired through Klook) our room number, so we requested a new room (room #2) for our own safety.
Walk into room #2 & a cockroach flew in, right by my girlfriends head. Took staff 15min to get rid of it, but not before it flew on the bed so we requested another room as we didn't know what else could be in the room already.
Room #3 was fine, and we finally were able to settle in around midnight (3 hrs after initial check-in!)
Hotel gave us an upgrade for night 2 (room #4) as we wrote a review online. Nice gesture to ease our concerns, but the same staff was working on day 2 & we were scared she would share the new info with the driver or his buddies to come after us.
Overall we had 4 rooms on a 2 night stay, got about 6 hours of total sleep because of the fear, and they also had the balls to charge us for 1 beer we had in the minifridge. They could've at least comped a $1.5 item.
Side note, this property says they care about the environment, but it takes 10 mins (their words) of running water before it gets luke warm to take a shower. That's extremely wasteful, so we took very short ice cold showers
Customer safety & privacy should be a priority.

Great location and beautiful background for the pool. Away from the noise of Ao Nang Beach, but shuttle service takes you there every hour which is great. Breakfast had good vegetarian options and staff super friendly. Our only complaint is that our room had a lot of mosquitos, when we checked in. We got bit several times despite using bug spray and eventually killed all of them. We barely opened our doors to prevent further from coming in; certainly the location makes these pests more likely, but which they had a better job of pesticides. Of the four properties we stayed out in Thailand, this was the only one with mosquito issues.

A wonderful hotel which was just right for us, not too big & impersonal. It was away from the crowds, but close enough to walk (15 mins) or take the free shuttle every hour. Beautifully located hotel, quiet and secluded. Food is good and staff are friendly. Staff only speak a little English - more than what I can speak in Thai!!! This was not an issue for us as we are in Thailand! It would be narrow minded of me to expect them all to speak English to please me! The pool was fantastic over looking the lime stone cliffs, amazing. Short ride on the complimentary shuttle bus to the centre of Ao Nang. Would love to stay again!

Pros:
1) hotel is set in a beautiful location with breathtaking cliff side backdrops and surrounding pool
--- my personal favorite of the hotel
2) hotel provides shuttle service every hour to city center
3) sweet, helpful staff
4) very large clean rooms and bathrooms with decent water pressure

- breakfast was above average with large selection and cooked to order items (eggs, omelets, waffles)
- beds are hard but not uncomfortable (as mentioned by other reviewers)

1) coffee was horrible
2) not close to city center (could also be a pro)
3) not as quiet as it could be (roosters!)
4) hotel is dated
5) expensive laundry service (better to use laundry in the city center)

In general, this is a safe and quiet hotel. A little disappointed in that the hotel is definitely over priced compared to the value offered. Beds are pretty hard and not comfortable, there is a big language barrier in terms of communication and the breakfast was not that great. While the hotel looks dated and in need of remodeling, it is set in a beautiful location with mountain backdrops surrounding the pool. The pool itself is nice, but the chairs and cushions are old and the BUGS are pretty bad. They could either do a better job at spraying for insects or guests just need to prepare with bug spray. Overall I'd say this is a 3 star resort and a bit over priced.

A lovely hotel away from the business. They run a shuttle bus which is great for you to dip in and out of Ao Nang as little/often as you want. The rooms are well presented. The view of the mountains are perfect for relaxation. This hotel has everything you need if you want a quieter holiday too, a pool/spa/restaurant etc. The selection at breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly. The only negative is there are some mosquitos so you need to be mindful of this and pack suitable repellant. This is not a big issue, but something to think about.

Overall we loved our stay here!

Lush, green and quiet resort

AoNang Phu Petra resort is set in lush grounds overlooked by a majestic mountain. The regular shuttle service from the hotel into the town where the beach and shops were located was excellent and made the location very accessible to everything. We walked home a few times and it really isn’t that far out anyway. It took us about 20 minutes. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were quite lovely. The breakfast was fine and a few times when the resort was not full, we were able to order off their a la carte menu and enjoy a small buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is gorgeous with views to the mountain but the loungers are really due to be replaced. Overall, in terms of value for money, this resort is very good and we enjoyed our stay.

Very quiet location. Need to take the resort shuttle to get into town and a tuk tuk will take you back for 100 Baht (about $3 US). We might have been the only people in the resort the first night. Rooms are very large and the snack bar items are not expensive. Free towels to take to the beach. Breakfast buffet was not very impressive but since the resort is somewhat remote, you really don't have much choice but to have breakfast at the resort. Some really nice landscaping and some exotic trees are scattered throughout the grounds. As far as excursions, I found that it was usually cheaper to book in town then at the resort. Also found that excursion prices were negotiable in town.

It’s my second time back to Phu Petra as my first stay here was great. The staffs were friendly and nice and even took the initiative to send us birthday waffles and decorated the bed with ‘Welcome Home’. I love the hourly shuttle that brings us to Aonang town area as not all hotels have that (some even charge for a trip there) However the room this time round (Gloriyo hillside villa) isn’t that fantastic as it’s tucked all the way at the back as it’s a little scary at night with the poor lighting. One of the lights in the room was flickering and the aircon stopped working from 6-7am :( I wanted to play foosball after coming back around 9+pm at night, but it was tucked away in a dark corner and we were quite scared. The pool is quite nice and it has the mountain view and they were nice to provide beach towels :) The hotel can consider to upgrade their facilities to attract more visitors!

Great hotel

We stayedfor 8 nights and had a wonderful time. Staff are very friendly and helpful, though only a few speak english. The rooms are nice and big, lovely bathrooms too. The hotel is about 25 min walk from the beach, they do have a shuttle bus that leaves every hour. This is great but they only pickup back to the hotel and a few times a day which is disappointing. The pool area is great, but closes as 7 which is a shame as it would have been great to swim after dinner.

This is very bad hotel. They didn't even provide the fresh breakfast. It is far from beach. After 8pm, you can't walk down to hotel. There was no street light on road. Most of the staffs doesn't understand English except manager. Had really bad time.

Beautiful property and good food

The property is very beautiful and rooms are big and spacious. The room service was preparation was excellent for all the meals we ordered.

Need to be a little alert as the room service closes at 9:30 pm on low occupancy days and we had to literally go without dinner one night as we missed this deadline and the hotel could not provide any backup for the same.

The staff is very particular about the rules and regulations and I had a tough time convincing them to wash bottles for my infant. Finally after a lot of request they did it and I feel they need to be little more open to such simple guest requests.

I would recommend the property due to beautiful rooms, swimming pool and good room service. Just be a little alert to all their rules and regulations and would request the hotel to be a little more open to guest requests.

I would say that our stay in this hotel was close to a average experience and there are a number of reasons associated with the same.
1) I had booked two rooms and before the check in , I had requested that both my rooms should be next to each other , but when we reached inspite of the next room being vacant we are not alloted that room for our kids with some absurd reason , while we are staying we saw that, to our surprise the same room was alloted later to other guest, on the 3rd day of our stay. Point to be noted is that the room was of the same category which we had booked.
2) The breakfast was average.
3) They also have special service charging , I mean it was one of the Hotel / Resort which I have come across so far which charges cost for carrying the luggage to the lobby area, the best part is that when the come to pick up the luggage the same will not be informed, the question is not about the charges but it sounds a bit absurd , to see this kind of a service cost being charged.
4) The location of the Hotel is a bit turned down , and you need to wait for fixed shuttle timings (once in a hour ) to reach to the Ao Nang city center area, also the frequency of the shuttle for pick up from Ao Nang back to the hotel is very less.

The staff gave us the wrong room, two twin beds, and tried to convince us that this was our reservation. Then finally agreed that we had in fact booked a double bed. As a couple, there is no way we would have booked a hotel with twin beds.

A nice stay with lots of adventure.

The stay was okay.The first room that we got had a big lizard in it so we asked to change the room and the hotel staff kindly obliged.
The room that was allotted was big and size was for a family.The wash basin in the bathroom had no sink cover, it was kind of weird.When asked the staff we were told it cannot be repaired now.
The lady at the reception in like a school teacher or a hostel rector you can say.She behaves like the tourist shall do what she wants.But on the last day before taking the feedback she was cute.lol.The hotel is good the pool and the restaurant are awesome and the location is stunning.
The shuttle service is also nice.Its a bit away from the beach.
If you want a calm secluded location then this is a nice place.But still I feel you can get better hotels near the beach at a less price.
This hotel is suited for people who want to just relax and do nothing Sip on a cocktail by the pool with beautiful mountain views in the background.
Beware of geckos though.Have fun

Great location (though its a 10 min walk to the main road in case you miss the hotel shuttle).
Great service. We had a gecko visit our bathroom, who was promptly captured and taken away by the hotel staff.
We liked the food (we had lunch at the hotel once).
The morning breakfast was excellent (was surely worth it to get the breakfast inclusive deal).
The WiFi is a bit dicey though, works best in the hotel lobby.

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings

This is a wonderful hotel set off the main road of Ao Nang. It takes about 25 minuets to walk from the beach (the heart of Ao Nang) to Phu Petra. However, there is a shuttle bus provided by the hotel and plenty of taxis in the town also. The views of the mountains from the hotel are beautiful and the scenery surrounding the hotel is amazing. The staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful, they were always happy to help us and provide any information we needed. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return to Phu Petra.

We had stayed here for 2 days. It turned out to be the worst leg of our tour. The food was pathetic and overpriced and the service offered by the front desk was close to none. The tours on offer were also heavily overpriced.
More importantly, the area is infested with mosquitoes, but the resort expects you to carry the mosquito repellers yourself, wherever you're coMing from. Else, they charge 200baht for removing mosquito from your room.

Gorgeous resort, away from tourist streets

Pros:
-gorgeous location, tropical plants, unique architecture
-huge room and bathroom
-super helpful and friendly staff
-delicious breakfast
-peaceful area (not in busy and loud tourist areas)
-2 peacocks on the property (wild?) and kittens! I hope they feed the cats because they seemed very hungry

Cons:
-the bed was extremely hard - the housekeeping put some kind of topper on the mattress & it helped
-If you have a later flight, the only place to take a shower after check out is the outdoor pool shower, and change in lobby bathroom, so we had wet swimsuits in our suitcase to fly (4 or 5 star hotel should have a private area with shower for this situation)
-tour desk is much more expensive than booking in town. I know you can bargain but prices were sometimes double than what we'd get in town
-hotel is located outside main tourist areas. We like to walk but it was a bit far especially when we were strapped for time
-Air conditioning had trouble cooling the large room
-Walls in the duplex are thin - our next door neighbor was loud early in the morning
-very spotty wifi, only worked in/near lobby
-dark in bathroom

Best hotel of our Thailand trip

This resort far exceeded our expectations! We knew it was a shuttle ride to Ao Nang beach area, but it was so close, even a tuk tuk ride was $3 USD. Unlike the hotels in town or near the beach, this resort was off on a quiet street with tons of green space. Each unit is a duplex hut with a wall to separate the front porch. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds comfy (all the beds at other hotels were as hard as the floor). The service was amazing and the staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We booked a few excursions through the front desk and it was a breeze and the excursions were great. The pool was perfect temperature, and the breakfast was delicious. Get the waffles with some fruit spread. Also there is a fun German Beer Garden across the street, delicious schnitzel (after 2 weeks in Thailand, I needed a non-Thai food meal).

Great atmosphere and location. Minutes from beach with a free hotel shuttle. The view and pool are highlights. Skip room service and pool food and eat across the street at an awesome German restaurant / bar. Free breakfast with waffle and egg station are best food you'll get. Ask for \"Smokey\" the all around bartender, server, hotel guest help and Jack of all trades if you need anything!!

A nightmare...STAY AWAY...long review

Short summation: rude restaraunt staff that forgets your order, refuses to let you eat inside AFTER it has rained so mosquitos were out and for the first time EVER in Thailand a restaraunt that did not even offer or have free bug spray to use in this situation. How can one force people to eat outside, then leave them to be eaten by bugs. There was the lead manager (maybe owner) who accused me of taking bed linen upon checkout but quickly apologized once she realized her STAFF did it the night before when he had to come to my room in the middle of the night and remove the linens due to bugs (the hotel said they were ants BUT I believe they looked more like FLEAS). The hotel admited to having them in the rooms and had the audicity to offer me another room. My friend broke out in welts so we knew it was best to leave. The hotel tried everything to get us to stay, and when we finally would not accept anything but help with transfer to our new hotel: the hotel offered me back a refund of two nights...on one condition (direct quote from email from hotel staff):
\"However, If we refund 2 nights left back to you, through hotels.com which must be taken 2 weeks for hotel and bank process, is it possible for not writing review through any channels at our property? \"
Who does this? Asks that you don't write your true review? I have attempted to resolve via hotels.com as the property does not want to refund my funds as we only stayed one night but booked for three. Just STAY AWAY.

Good resort in great location

Phu Petra is tucked away in the Krabi mountains in beautiful setting. Overall, resort is beautiful with very helpful staff from the frontdesk to shuttle driver. It's bit off the main street, which is good for those seeking some calm, but still, not too far away from all the fun.

Mosquitoes are bit of problem, but that's just part of tropical climate. We could hear few rodents climbing on the roof of our room during night. May be staff can do something about it.

Tuk tuks from the hotel to main street, off their schedule (hotel provides free hourly tuk tuk ) cost 100 BAHTs, which is not too bad.

Peaceful Oasis

The staff was very friendly and prompt. They were quick and helpful in organizing tours and airport transportation for me. The hotel itself offers a stunning backdrop of the jungle plants and mountains. Very peaceful. The bed was rather stiff for my liking, but everything else was comfortable. Mini bar selection was cheaper than going to the local bar for a beer as well, which was nice. My only grip is that I did not have more time in Krabi to enjoy the hotels amenities more.

Nice, quiet, comfortable. Amazing helpful staff.

Hotel is set back from the road and quiet. Beautiful pool, only a short walk (100m) to the beautiful long beach. Room was quite large and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating and helping us plan our trips and car rental. We had to leave early in the morning and they even personally brought as breakfast on their way to the hotel/work. Thank you a lot! The only comment for improvement I would make is that is seems the fridge was overlooked when the room was cleaned prior to us arriving (everything else was clean).

There is much better in town

It was ok but not fantastic. Nice area, professional staff. What bothered us the most was that they immediately wanted the payment for anything even when they were wrong. Lastly I would like to add that I sent a mail asking the best way to get from airport to the hotel and they recommended to offer to do the booking for 600 bat and payable at checking even if driver does not find you. At the airport it is half the price. Sincerely I would not go back

So Nang is a lively bustly resort. Lots of youngsters but also all ages .
Phu Petra is away from all the hubbub and gives the opportunity to sit quietly and relax amidst tropical gardens below limestone crags OR in a short 5 minute ride be in the centre of town.

Although there is hotel transport , driving a moped gives you freedom, otherwise you may feel a little isolated. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle

Quiet and tranquil enough to have 2 peacocks literally on our doorstep on 2 mornings ! You don't get that in a resort hotel !

The room so enormous. The bed was emperor size and our bathroom was massive with good fixtures . Great shower.

Decor was not to my taste ( please change the green walls to softer colours .... ) but overal it was a pleasant stay

Amazing hotel

Good hotel clsoe to amenities.

This hotel was lovely and in a beautiful setting. A little slice of paradise. My one gripe would be that I would have preferred to have mosquito nets over the beds because no matter how much we covered ourselves in repellent we were bitten. The rooms were comfortable, well kept, and more than sufficient for our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very tranquil, clean hotel. Friendly staff too

We misjudged the distance of the hotel from the beach - it's further than expected but that turned out to be a plus! Very tranquil, serene surrounding - sometimes we forget we are only a few hundred yards away from the busy streets of Ao Nang.

There's an hourly (top of the hour) shuttle to drop you off at the street - right in front of McDonalds so that's great. Last shuttle back is at 9.20PM - perhaps they can arrange for much later schedule in the future?

Otherwise, it was an pleasant albeit short stay

The front desk staff was amazing. They were extremely helpful in booking our excursions. The bed was a little hard but the rooms were huge. The property was beautiful. It was also really nice to be up in the cliffs and away from the main street. It was a nice oasis.

Quiet time off the main road in town

A little bit challenging to find the place at first but then treated to a modern resort and the most delightful staff. The reception is peaceful and comforting and then you're taken down to the room passed the deck and pool to find a vast and very well appointed suite decorated tastefully.

Nice stay but far from the beach

Hotel provides free shuttle bus on the hour. Good and cheap food near the hotel. Only downside is far from the beach and shopping area. Highly recommended for a chill and relax trip.

Small hotel away from the Ao Nang Crowd

Quiet hotel located next to the limestone cliffs provides just the right respite after a day of travel and island hopping. Small hotel with minimal crowd and a free shuttle service makes the trip to and back from Ao Nang town an enjoyable stay.

Decent hotel away from the Ao Nang hustle bustle

This resort is decent. Not mind blowing, but not bad either. If you get a good deal, then you should go for it.

Pros:
- Nice pool
- Has all the amenities you would need and expect (comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, decent room service)
- Shuttle every hour to Ao Nang

Cons:
- Shuttle from Ao Nang to the hotel is only every 2 hours. This doesnt seem like a big deal in the beginning, but tends to become a nuisance
- The bathroom shower gel & shampoo containers are ceramic. That is, they are very brittle. Completely absurd for something that is prone to fall on the floor when you are taking a shower. I ofcourse dropped it, and the whole thing broke while I was taking a shower. They tried to charge me for it
- Food is only OK. Its not bad, but definitely not something to hold your breath for

Beautiful Hotel

This is in a beautiful location. The staff are wonderful. The hotel is surrounded by mountains. The food is great. I can't say more about this hotel. If you are going to Krabi you should stay here!!!

Very friendly staff. Super welcoming! The bathroom sinks got clogged, but besides that everything was great. The mattresses were hard, but that is normal for Asian countries. The free breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff

The hotel is as beautiful as the pictures showed. We like the free shuttle rides to town. Though seats can be limited on some trips. The hotel provides convenient massage services in-room. Staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The restaurant serves good food but sometimes it can take awhile. I had trouble sleeping on the first night because there was a squirrel in our wall and on the roof, the squirrel's activities were quite loud when our air conditioner was off. We kept the air conditioner on the following nights and it was able to counter the nature noises. TV reception was not good but the hotel did provide us with a dvd player at request. There is a rubber plantation in our backyard, it was cool to spot some cows grazing there. And my mom did get a complimentary pancake as a birthday surprise. It was a very pleasant stay overall. Would definitely recommend it.

the reviews are too positive for this hotel

It is quite location but the rooms are quite dark. The beach is 10-15 minutes away by car. Breakfast is very disapointing for a 4 star hotel. It is more a 3 star than a 4 star. The money we paid here is not worth to stay here when you stay at high season.

Natural sanctuary

Rustic hotel set in tropical gardens. Very large and comfortable bungalow style rooms, with spacious and luxurious bathroom. Set under the cliffs away from busy Ao Nang but hotel offers convenient shuttle to the centre. Friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered - really appreciated all their efforts to make our stay as comfortable ad possible. Perfect for a natural getaway.

Hotel room is spacious. Location is good if u like a quite environment. It's convenient to go to Aonang beach by shuttle vehicle. There might be ants on ur bed however it's common for a place beside hill. Recommended.

.Breakfast is all you can eat if so so.

Breakfast quality very average-especially Asian food. Western food same all the time.
Pool is very small.
Wifi is unstable.
Staff not very attentive-don't wipe pool lounger mats after rain or put up/down pool umbrellas.
Reataurant foid quality, decor
, lounge area and pool area is outdated and showing wear.
The rooms coukd be 4 star but are too dark, only have a partial view of the limestone cliffs and the rest of the establishment 3 stars.

Wont recommend this place. They may have done slick marketing however for the price you are paying there are better options in the neighbourhood. I didnt like the fact that the management roped you into some discount schemes etc only to find out one cant redeem the coupons after 24 hrs is over. The materesses were very uncomfortable and some ofthe pillows had fungus on them and were smelling. The room size is good etc but basic hygiene and cleanliness is lacking

Villa style retreat with a view

Staff made an immediate impression with their attentiveness and courtesy; smiles all around. Large rooms built into huts organised into a village. Rooms themselves were adequately furnished and pleasantly spacious. Cavernous bathroom with a tub big enough for two; clean, well designed. Beautiful views of the cliffs from the pool are lit majestically by the rising and setting sun.

The bungalows were huge and very comfortable.
Wifi was a bit sketchy.
Main drawback of this place is that is too retired from the center of town, and the bus schedule is occasionally not reliable.

Only spent 1 night , accommodation was near side road and the noise from local traffic was not the best late at night.
Needed change from front desk for taxi as the taxi driver had no change !
Reception said they didn't keep money even though we had paid them earlier for the outgoing taxi.

The hotel is beautiful, set in a lush green envirorment. The room service menu was above average and food was tasty. I had 2 massages with Jan and could not have been more pleased. The pool has drop dead beautiful views and is very refreshing but closes quite early at 7PM. Service was nice and very helpful.

Stunning scenery and pool area

We were drawn to book this hotel due to the good reviews and the stunning scenery. It is also a bit out of town which we also liked as it was very quiet, yet only a short walk into the main drag of Ao Nang with it's shops and bars.
The pool area itself is stunning and we were very pleased with our huge garden bungalow with massive bathroom, which was very clean and well looked after. Overall staff were very helpful and friendly.
My only criticisms would be that there are lots of petty notes everywhere telling you what you can't do, and this was also the only hotel I've ever stayed at in Thailand who have wanted credit card details at check in. There are also sparrows living in the reception building, which probably can't be avoided with an open building as it is, but they do tend to raid the breakfast buffet, and it's a bit off putting and unhygienic seeing pecked bread on the table. Some simple covers over the baked goods would solve this.

Great Hotel!

We stayed here for our honeymoon in Thailand for a few days and it was absolutely stunning. We loved the mountain views near the pool. The hotel was relatively close to the beach with a shuttle service leaving every hour. The rooms were spacious, clean and renovated. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Great experience!

Picturesque resort, quiet getaway for family

It nice and quiet resort. Very picturesque and away from the crowds. The pools was large and very clean, lots of lounge chairs and shade. A nice family getaway. Our only negative was the mixed drinks were not very good, sadly most drinks were returned or abandoned.

Hotel quite fare from the center and the beach

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The hotel is located outside of the center that could be an advantage to be in a quiet zone. Unfortunately my room was located next to the road and the traffic was disturbing particularly early in the morning.
Big room with plenty of space and huge bed (210x200 cm). Room needs renovation; flooring has holes, painting walls,...
Swimming pool is small but nice.

Fine for an overnight stay. Not 4.5 star!

We only stayed one night, and the place is fine. The rooms are dated and the breakfast was rather blah, but the backdrop of the mountains behind the pool is certainly a big plus. It's more of a 3.5 area than a 4.5. And the walk score would be very low. Rides required for everything.

Good, but room for improvement

We stayed 9 nights in Feb. Hotel is clean, grounds/pool well kept, good food, friendly staff, service was mostly good- Except at pool. Staff wait for guests to walk to deck area to ask for everything instead of asking occasionally. The wifi was terrible in my rm(103). My wife as injured when bench on hotel shuttle collapsed(14 stitches). They welded the bench to prevent another accident, offered to pay initial clinic bill, but we had already contacted insurance ..sent us fruit basket/wine instead. This was nice, but out visit was still spoiled. Would have preferred covering associated costs; room service/food bill because we couldn't go out, additional cost to transfer to next destination because we couldn't take ferry. It's been 9 days and ~40000 baht so far, to the clinic every day and She still is not suppose to walk, swim, shower.. Great vacation!

Secluded small Thai style hotel

Exactly the type of hotel we were looking for. Small secluded non corporate privately owned hotel with a lot of attention to detail. Very peaceful away from the busy Aunang town but easily reached by the free shuttle bus. Food and service excellent. Had a fabulous 10 days thank you!

Lovely Jungle Retreat

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the guest rooms are large and well appointed.
The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and is open for lunch and dinner. All the meals were enjoyable and delicious!
