This is an idyllic hotel. Very nice staff. The room was immacualte. Felt like you were in a haven of quiet away from the madness of Krabi even though the beach is only a ten min free shuttle ride away. Excellent breakfast too.

Beautiful hotel with stunning pool area. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Perhaps more fruit / yoghurt options for breakfast would be useful.
Hotel is in a very quiet area but there are a few bars and restaurants within 5 min walk. Tuk Tuk to the beach is around 100 baht or there is a frequent free shuttle provided.

Be aware: this is a MUSLIM, dry hotel. Five times a day you will hear the loud-speakers from the mosque nearby with chanting songs/ prayer call. Location is beautiful, good and quiet (except for the 5 prayer calls that start right before the sun comes up). Staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool is very nice and you can order food and non-alcoholic drinks. Buffet breakfast was good, plus they have a menu to choose from (they do delicious scrambled eggs). The room was nice and clean. A few improvements needed in the room: the decorative mosquito net over the bed gets annoyingly tugged by the pillow. The lighting in the bathroom sucks. The grounds are beautiful; just know that they have large, Asian Water Monitor lizards. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Clean room, very friendly, good customer service, great nature view at the restaurant and free breakfast was great quality. Only downside was the loud Muslim prayer time down the street that took away from the feeling of being secluded in nature. But the rooms are pretty sound proof and I would still highly recommend the resort. Pool was really nice too. We were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful hotel, all staff are so lovely and helpful. Peaceful location but also easy access to main centre, bar, shops etc. this is an amazing hotel and our stay here was very memorable. Just one point that we didn’t realise until we got to the hotel, there is no alcohol sold at the property, but they don’t mind you bringing alcohol into the hotel if you want some with your meal etc.

Great stay at Krabi.
I’ve been around the world. Focusing on breaches. This was by far my best stay in terms of accommodation. The design of the cottages/villas were awesome. If you have a family. They have family villas with separate rooms! We had the front outdoor kitchen. Tub. Hammock. And even the showers were nicely designed. Love this place. The front desk ensured great service. Always with a smile! Greeted with cold wet towel. Cold tea. Delicious. Pool was awesome. Restaurant/ breakfast buffet was delicious! They have shuttle daily for your convenience set distances around town. Love this place! My best ever stay!

Great location & setting, not a perfect experience

Ao Nang is great to visit but not so relaxing if you can't escape to somewhere like this! Felt like 2 stays in 1 with contrast of the lively streets and beach and returning to this mini oasis with wonderful wildlife, great room space and shared pool.

Fabulous family adjoining room with massive indoor and outdoor space, probably the best of 5 hotel stays of similar budget, although this was most expensive.
Would stay here again and recommend to others, but service is not as refined as other reviews suggest. Front desk great, but it takes more than friendly gardeners for rest of resort to work well and we found breakfast to be worse than other hotels, not so much quality as things not being replenished, hot food orders were muddled all 3 days, and not quite the variety of other places we've stayed (Outrigger Khao Lak tough benchmark!).
Coffee in room is great but then wasn't replenished after first day, and no English breakfast in rooms even though it ran out every morning at breakfast! (And again, had to ask for it to be restocked. Staff on phone, just not alert to what needed doing.)

3 nights here felt like the optimum for us on a 2 week trip. Think would get bored much longer and there's much better places to relax on a beach like koh lanta or Lak.
There aren't many good hotels in the area and this one worked for us. 80bht taxi or 20mins walk to beach, 5-10mins to restaurants and massage before you get to main strip around the corner. All very simple.

This place is magical! The grounds are quiet and beautiful and we loved the traditional feel of the cottages. Each cottage is tucked into the jungle and is immaculate and spacious. They work hard to anticipate your every need and they work hard to add that personal touch.

I book according to the reviews of previous guests and often guests will claim that the staff is what makes a place exceptional. Nowhere have I stayed where this is more the case than Ban Sanai. I really got the sense that the staff are all working together to give their guests the best experience possible and are committed to developing an excellent reputation. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat. If you book, you will not be disappointed.

So beautiful

The back drop of the mountains is stunning. Lovely pool area and great outside space in our room. As friends we shared a two bed with a hammock and outdoor kitchenette. Literally the only bad thing I can think of this that the lighting in the bedrooms could have more ambience. Just different lightbulbs would make a massive! Obviously this is the tiniest issue. The free shuttle bus to the beach was really useful and unexpected. Highlight recommend.

What an amazing experience. From start to finish we were taken care of. The most beautiful pool and view I have ever seen. Was so sad to leave and cannot wait to come back one day. Also loved that there was a free shuttle from the hotel to town and also a free shuttle from town back to the hotel.

The rooms are very clean and spacious.
Location is remote, not close to the ocean or shopping. They do have a shuttle every 1-3 hours, but we decided to just get a Grab ride every time we went in or out for convenience. The breakfast is ok. Staff is nice and very attentive.

Its perfect walking distance to the beach and main strip, but tucked away from the commotion of it all. The staff is extremely welcoming, and there's so many nice little touches everywhere. The grounds are stunningly beautiful. This is easily one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. My only regret is not staying longer!

끄라비에 머무신다면 강추하고 싶은 숙소에요. 수압과 더운 물이 좀 약해서 아쉬웠지만 그걸 상쇄하고도 남을 만큼 장점이 훨씬 더 많았요. 조용하고 자연친화적이고 수압과 더운 물에 대해서 얘기하면 빨리 해결해주려고 노력하는 친절한 스텝들이 인상적인 친절한 호텔입니다. 아오낭 해변에서 좀 떨어져 있지만 저는 조용해서 더 좋았어요. 엄마가 생일이라고 예약할 때 얘기했더니 아침식사 시간에 깜짝 팬 케잌을 주셔서 엄마가 아주 좋아하셨어요.

The Ban Sainai was like staying on a tropical island. It is very spread out, but the staff were always ready to drive you from your room to the pool or reception area. The breakfasts were very good as were the meals at the pool. The pool was absolutely gorgeous and we spent plenty of time there. The resort has a regular shuttle schedule to take you to the beach. This was an awesome experience to stay at the Ban Sainai.

Horrible staff and services. From the moment of arrival, the stay, and the dinning experience. Paid for the breakfast of which there many things on the menu that they advertise you can order anything on the many as much as you like for breakfast. Nevertheless everything we ordered they said they currently not available. For example roti mataba or rice soup with fish. Most of the available food are already cook and display. What a disappointment and bad advertisement. The price for the buffet is of course in full even of all the items are not available. The bathroom in our room were NOT cleaned properly and the shower absolutely smells like urine. Of which we mentioned but no body did anything about it. In addition there were supposed to be a bus shuttle from the hotel two routes a day into the boat and restaurants area (busy area) but it is always late and extremely disorganized. One time we were waiting for over fifteen because the driver couldn't be found. If which affects our boat schedule that we have already reserved from the other company. Staff here are just don't care. Never really smile to us (probably because we did mention something about the restroom and the room wasn't being cleaned), but should it be that way?? We were just letting them know the truth. I'm pregnant and really can't stay the smells of the rest room. Is it too much to ask for...

Its about a 30 minute walking distance from the beach which is the equivalent of 100 baht by tuk tuk from the hotel to the beach and its away from the main streets. The quiet and calm was what we were looking for and we were very happy with that.

A little disappointing

This was supposed to be a 4* hotel which in Thailand normally means great hotel great staff and clean and tidy - out stay was certainly not. Covid has had an impact of course and staff numbers are reduced as expected but unfortunately that means that gardeners and general maintenance isn’t upto spec. Maybe when things get back to some sort of normal and staff numbers are increased it will get back to its 4* status. Having said that our stay was ok, we enjoyed the quietness, 4 days was enough and we were happy to move on .

An absolutely stunning resort with the best staff I've yet to meet in Thailand. It's close enough to the main street so you can walk down to the beach, but secluded enough to give an illusion of solitude. It's both a beautiful complex and a very well-staffed one. My only caveat? The facilities close down too early, at around 7 in the evening. However, the town is so close that it didn't matter as much as we feared.

Nice hotel, far enough from Ao Nang to feel like you are in an open space, yet less than 5 minutes by free shuttle to centre when you need it.

Gardens are extensive and well kept and pool lovely with amazing backdrop to cliffs.

Rooms nice and spacious but tired in places and could do with a revamp (including bathrooms).

Breakfast interesting with a few local specialty dishe/drinks and reasonable choice.

Staff friendly and genuinely seemed to want to please you and looked happy doing their jobs.

Overall this is a nice hotel and whilst not the cheapest option or most high end it was definitely good value.

Beautiful place with amazing views of rock cliffs from rooms and pool. Nice staff, good breakfast buffet and easy a cess to town restaurants and long boats. We did a Private 4 island longboat tour through front desk, nice and good value! Only 2500 bots for 6 hours(75 us$). Aonong beach is not the best to hang out , but west railey and other islands we good. Hard to avoid crowds and find shade.
Rooms were spacious and lovely. Its very good for aonong beach Krabi.

Beautiful environment, like being in a Botanic garden. Quiet and peaceful. Cottages are nicely furnishec, the Terrace is great.
The pool is huge, you can really swim. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. You can get into the busy streets quickly, but you are still far enogh to relax, and enjoy nature.

This was an excellent, central property which was very peaceful and natural (felt like you were deep in a forest with beautiful cliff scenery and palms). We weren’t aware of the no-alcohol policy until we arrived but they have a 3 min shuttle down to the city centre throughout the day and lots of delicious food and smoothies available at the hotel. Would definitely recommend!

Such a wonderful experience! I didn’t want to leave!! Close enough to the beach that you can walk in about 10-15 but they offer shuttles throughout the day too. Also, just far enough from everything that it feels nice and private. If I’m back in Krabi again I’ll definitely be here. My favorite hotel out of the 4 we stayed at on our trip. We ended up extending the stay 2 extra days because it was so great! Aaaaaand the staff is fantastic!! Super helpful and always smiling!!

The resort is a pleasant 20-minute slow walk, that is if walking is your thing, from Ao Nang beach. The last strip which is a 5-minute walk is what I enjoyed the most; the peace and serenity of the street at night is not to be forgotten. You will find yourself walking towards the cliff listening to birds, crickets and frogs.

The breakfast (the only meal I had at the resort) was limited in options. There was hardly any cheese and the variety of greens was not impressive. However, the bread, juices and fruit kind of made up for the lack of variety.

Overall, my stay at the resort was nothing short of wonderful. The staff were extremely polite, respectful and friendly. The room in which I stayed the first night was very nice, but unfortunately there was some construction work going on nearby, but that was mentioned on their page. Anyway, on hearing of my slight discomfort, I was immediately upgraded to a much grander cottage, which I immensely liked. I really enjoyed the jacuzzis in both rooms/ cottages.

The setting of the resort is heavenly, the flora and fauna can be jaw-dropping. The view of the cliff from the cottages is one further factor adding to the beauty of the place.

I didn't go swimming in the pool as I am into photography and spent most of the day outside the resort, but I think it was nice.

The spa is also an added plus to the resort; massages are done in a professional manner.

In short, my stay at Ban Sainai was wonderful. I highly recommend it :)

Ban Sainai resort was very close to Ao Nang beach, shopping and other facilities. They offer free transport service to Aonang which was very helpful. Staff were very pleasing and helped us have a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and spacious.
I would recommend Bai Sainai to anyone wanting to stay close to Ao Nang beach.

Loved the property, excellent friendly staff, nice cottages, good breakfast, great mountain views, and cleanliness of the resort. Well maintained and beautiful resort grounds. We were in room 1207 which was a deluxe cottage with jacuzzi I believe. It was right by the pool and not too deep into the resort, so less walking when going in/out. My biggest complaint is the WiFi. Our room’s internet kept going in and out, very spotty and annoying. Besides that, everything else was great. Would def recommend this place.

I think the resort was way over priced for what it was . Don't get me wrong the staff were fantastic and the place was very clean . One staff gave me the run down on not being able to give me pork meals because the staff that were on were Muslim even though I'd only ordered a chaese and tomato pizza ?? . The food in the resort was very poor for the price of the stay and ordering food on the menue was shocking . The burger and chicken burger was awful and you could not tell the difference which was which . But both were like eating pure fat and gristle . Breakfast wasn't that bad but no bacon lol. Didn't sleep that well with the mosk belting out through the night staring at 4am . The mosquitoes were rife with the huts being surrounded by trees and rivers . The beach is about 2 miles away and the shuttle sevice wasn't run often enough IMO. I did relax but didn't venture far . The only good review was the staff were good and the resort was spotless . But I'd never go again

Most attentive staff

Our stay at Ban Sainai was absolutely perfect. The staff was excellent and never hesitated to answer any questions we had, provide us with any recommendation for food and activities, and made overall sure that we were as comfortable and happy as possible at all times. They were even so friendly as to upgrade us to a coconut bungalow from a garden bungalow, and it was absolutely lovely. Even though they are all quite close to one another you still have all the privacy you would want. The people there were also super attentive to my boyfriend’s birthday while we were staying there, singing and pancakes were involved and was absolutely lovely. I can warmly recommend staying at Ban Sainai.

My family had an amazing time here. The resort gave me the tropical ambience I wanted. Very peaceful . The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was not on the main street but free transportation was provided. We actually chose to walk the 15 minutes most of the time as there are shops and restaurants along the way. Our stay here made our trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and quiet place to stay...

Everything about this place was good. From the checking-in, the buggy ride to the room, and the nice bed and flower arrangement for our honeymoon etc.

Staff service was excellent! So friendly and helpful.. Even giving tips on where to eat and tuk-tuk ride prices. The resort provides a free shuttle service to and from Ao Nang beach, which was good. We would highly recommend couples and families to stay here. Great place to unwind and relax. They even have cooking classes, origami classes, and yoga classes.. Best of all, most of them are FREE! How can you not like a place like this?

Breakfast was simple yet yummy. Buffet and a-la-carte menus to choose from.

Thumbs up to the management and staff! We will definitely be back..

The staff were AMAZING from the check in process to dining and poolside services such as food/beverage and massages. The dining was fantastic for breakfast and dinner. Cottages were very spacious and clean. The grounds were meticulous and beautiful. The transportation to and from the beach was a great benefit as well. I would recommend the Ban Sainai to anyo e going to AoNang. A special thanks to Adam who went above and beyond to make sure we got the most of our stay and excursions!!

Beyond expectations.

2 couples and 1st trip to Thailand. Stayed 8 days in Phuket then 8 days here. This resort on 1st arriving, down the side road to reach it, worried us. Then we arrived on the grounds of the most beautiful and lovely resort we could imagine. The staff were exceptional, with a special recognition of “Adam”, who spoke the best English and so was able to interpret for us. The few issues we had were addressed and taken care of freaky fast. The infinity pool was perfectly positioned with a stunning view of a cliff side Karsk. Our individual cottages, we were in Coconut 1101 and 1102, were exceptionally nice. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully planted with many different trees, flowers, and plants. Every day the scent of plumeria met us. The food was good both pool side and the restaurant, though it is Muslim owned so no pork products or alcohol provided but alcohol allowed if you brought your own. The breakfast was nice by the lagoon. The free shuttle to Ao Nang beach was a nice bonus. Only a short walk to the Main Street but at least 20-30 min if you were to walk all the way to the beach. Much quieter than Phuket. We enjoyed every minute at the resort and I just can’t say enough about the staff. While we are not world travelers, we have been on 16-18 cruises and spent time in both Mexico and the Caribbean. We have seldom come across staff of the caliber at the Ban Sainai. Thanks again for an incredible and memorable vacation.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Grand Lake View cottage we stayed in was lovely; very clean and well presented with a gorgeous view.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices on offer with omelettes, pancakes or eggs all cooked to order.
The infinity swimming pool was great - not crowded with sun loungers always available. The view from the pool was outstanding.

Stayed here from 9th February 2018 to 16th February 2018. We were met with a very friendly welcome and some lovely butterfly pea tea which is delicious. Swift and pleasant check-in ourselves and our luggage were taken to our cottage and we provided with a tour of the cottage and its facilities. We stayed in one of the cliff view cottages with cliff view & Jacuzzi that was amazing. The room was spotlessly clean with own router for broadband access, TV with international channels, beach bag and towels were provided for use during our stay, safe to store valuables was provided in room, a fully equipped bathroom, in addition buffet style breakfast was included in the price with a la carte items that could be ordered. There was a guest guide in the room which was very informative. Hotel grounds were immaculate and very well maintained. Meals and drinks around the pool and restaurant were very good quality. All in all, this is an excellent resort to choose the staff are totally amazing and continuously work to enhance guest experiences. We would thoroughly recommend.

We spent 3 nights stay at Ban Sainai resort at lake view room for wedding anniversary. Everything are excellent, exceeded our expectation, the spectacular lake view from the our room, the room was very clean, breakfast with lake view, nice food and something we must highlight here is all their staff r very friendly and always with smile n neat attire. We also special requested them to organise eco origami for us during our stay and they fulfilled our request & \"wow\" us by how well and their sincerity to conduct the workshop for us. There was 5 to 6 staff were assigned to conduct the workshop for us including the special cookies and drinks after the workshop all r complimentary. Highly recommend to all... either couple, family who travel to Krabi... last but not least,.... the resort r nestle in the beautiful garden with lake ( full of fish)....n with mountain view!

This hotel is full of mold and mildew.

This hotel looks gorgeous in photos, but you should know that it is built around a swamp. The upgraded Lakeview Cottages are actually surrounding a cesspool of stagnant water. Not only does this create a massive breeding ground for mosquitos, but the rooms smell badly of mold and mildew, which they attempt to cover up with lemongrass. The staff were very friendly, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never been so disappointed with how a hotel appeared online compared to our actual experience.

We had 2 different nights booked, and tried to cancel the second night in advance after a disappointing first night. The hotel refused a refund. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but our experience was very poor.

Excellent Resort and Beautiful in a good location!

This resort was our 3rd stop in Thailand so we really could compare it to others. I like many things about it but to name just a few:
1. The resort itself is beautiful with greenery all around, an amazing mountain in your front yard, a nice pool with bar service (no alcohol) and a very nice staff who attend to your every need.
2. Location - it is just far away from the madness of AoNang beach to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to get there in just a few minutes by Tuk Tuk -- which the resort offers for free from the resort to the beach so you can't lose. If you want to go back and forth off hours from the hotel transportation, a Tuk Tuk ride back to the resort is 100 baht ($3.00 US)
3. Breakfast. Included, yummy and peaceful.

Beautiful hotel and excellent customer service

Stayed for 5 nights in the jacuzzi cottage. The hotel room and grounds are clean and the staff are friendly and provide great service. We did come across a lot of ants every night in our room but that may be the nature of the location.

There is a free shuttle that does pick up and drop off to the main road and beach from the hotel which is really useful, saves you from walking in the heat.

The breakfast was decent but the restaurant is only open for breakfast and not lunch or dinner. So food needs to be ordered to the room which is not always convenient due to limited seating and smell.

Overall staying in Ban Sainai in Krabi was our favourite in a 18 day long trip to malaise and Thailand. Would come again!

5 star service from all staff . Set in a beautiful location . Room was really nice . Breakfast was lovely and fresh nothing too much hassle . Swimming pool very pretty . Would highly recommend if visiting Krabi . There is a shuttle to the beach. Staff happy to assist with trips . We did not book a trip with them we booked a taxi to Tiger Cave 1000 bht . And went to phi phi via ferry n shuttle . This turned out to be better than a trip as got to explore phi phi at our leisure . Staff phoned up company who we booked with for us as they were late .

Personal cottage in a quiet area

We chose this hotel cos it's a halal resort with no alcohol allowed. The area is quiet - very tranquil. About 10min slow walk to the mosque.

They provided a cot for our baby and even the mosquitos net was included for the cot.

Liked that they provided a beach basket (bag), beach towels and beach slippers for us so that we can easily go to the beach without bringing our own items.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

However, we didn't get a nice view from the balcony although we thought we chose a cottage with a cliff view.

Great Service!

The staff were so professional. They were very polite and would do everything they could to accommodate our requests. We really appreciated they escorting us to our room and offering us rides on the golf carts, especially when it was raining. They offer a free shuttle to and from Aonang Beach and also have options for transport to and from the Krabi airport for a nominal additional cost.

The rooms were clean, but could have been more comfortable. The room and bathroom were a bit barren. I also didn't like the sliding doors since it didn't close all the way and could let insects in.

Also, during our stay, the internet did not work the one night we were there. It was frustrating.

Overall, the staff and hotel premise were lovely!
