We stayed here in 2024 and it was lovely. This year (2 years later) it seems to have gone down hill.

The breakfast was lovely. The room was mid. The shower drain didn’t work properly and water often backed up. It smelled horrible too. The towels smelled as well.

Convenient location since it's a 15 minute walk from the beach and just minutes from convenient stores and restaurants. I was delighted by how pleasant the staff were. They were very helpful. My only gripe is that the condo suite itself is a little outdated, so the items in the kitchen were operational but a little too basic. For the price though, it was a great deal. I will stay here again if I'm in Krabi in the future because of the staff.

Great option for stay in Ao Nang. Close enough to everything, shops, beach, restaurants etc. staff all friendly. We had 3 minor issues on arrival, all resolved within an hour. Staff were great. Pool and sunbeds decent. I used the gym a couple of times which was also good. Would definitely recommend for couples or families. Would stay again.

The hotel was nice and comfortable and being about a 10 minute walk down the strip to the beach was great for accessing boat trips out to the islands. A special mention must go out to Fon and the amazing breakfast room staff who were so friendly and helpful.

This was one of our favorite properties, we were located on the second floor and even though the front desk said it didn't have a view it have a really nice view of the mountains. The bed was super comfortable, large pool and recliners available, its basically a mini apartment with a kitchen, full fridge, spacious shower and a large balcony. The tv even had the option for Netflix.
The breakfast was a really good selection of Thai dishes and the standard eggs to order, bacon and breads. The staff at breakfast were SUPER friendly and sweet.
Would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay at The Lai Thai

Lai Thai is in a great location with great swimming pool. Kids pool, lane swimming for serious swimmers plus lovely general swim area.
Sun beds and umbrellas made it perfect !
Lovely large rooms. Very comfy bed with good size balcony.
Kitchenette with full size fridge freezer was perfect for making breakfasts etc.

The air con is excellent, if any issues then maintenance staff were very fast to remedy any problem. All we needed was a light bulb changing 😀

The beach is a 15 mins walk but U can also jump in a tuk tuk.

Handy 711 shop opposite plus bars, restaurants, massage etc.

Although close to the above you do not hear any noise from the bars.

This is a very nice property. The bed is super comfy. It Is close by to everything and quiet. It’s only a 10 min walk to the beach. It’s great to have a kitchen. Very clean and housekeeping comes everyday. The wifi and A/C is excellent. I would definitely stay here again. In fact we have booked to stay longer.

I had a very nice stay here. Having a kitchen was a game changer. Comfy bed, strong AC, good shower, spacious balcony, excellent gym and fairly quiet for being so close to the main strip. I stayed 2 weeks and only one night was I annoyed by music from a local bar, but the music stopped at midnight. 10-minute walk to the beach and hotel is surrounded by restaurants and other tourist amenities. Laundry service and excellent barber shop are both 1-block away. I will stay here again.

David and his team are very attentive. The staff take exceptional care of their guests. The location is near the beautiful lake and I was lucky to have a view of the church which is spectacular at night.
The rooms are not overly large however, the bathroom is quite spacious and beautiful.

Great for short or long term stays!

This is a great condotel. There are some permanent residence living here, though a great number of hotel apartments for rent as well. The pool was a great temperature, and has a nice division with the lap vs leisure pools, and the gym was really well equipped as well. The staff were polite, and rooms cleaned daily - fast and efficiently. The rooms are well equipped too, with the kitchen being a nice perk. Internet was fast and reliable too. It's a little bit longer of a hike to the beach than most would prefer, but that also makes for a quieter neighbourhood, with less hassle and hagglers. I will definitely stay here again!

Only complaint is that our room was on the 2nd floor and our bedroom was facing some construction where workers can see us. Other than that, everything was great. One of the best rooms for its price.

Loved my stay at The Lai Thai in Krabi. Perfect location, just a few locks to the beach or longtail boats to excursions or Railay beach. Lots of food and shopping just steps from your door. My stay was a garden view condo and it was great. Clean and quiet and loved the view. The Noodle house had good food and the front desk helped with day trips and transportation. Stayed for 2 days and wish I could have stayed for more.

Location is good, 10 mins walk to Aonang beach, lots of restaurants around as you’re on the main drag. Room is big but quite dark at night (not enough lights & dim light bulbs). There is an exhaust fan but not hooked up?! No light over the stove!?AC is too strong, so we have to manually torn on/off

Aonang is Best Area

This is one of the best places we stayed in Thailand and it’s almost a secret because it’s a sort of hotel/condo combination so doesn’t show up on all maps and searches.

The buildings are very new and encircle a beautiful pool with lots of loungers and umbrellas. The pool has a lap section and a play section. There’s also a nice gym with everything you need. The breakfast is very good. You get to pick from the menu and they make and deliver it to your table. The staff are superb and always smiling. The rooms are very nice and the bed is softer than most in Thailand.

The hotel/condo is located right on the main Aonang road, about a 10 minute walk to Aonang beach. If you haven’t been to the Krabi area, you must go. It’s sooo much better than Phuket, and much better than Koh Samui too. There are just tons or restaurants, bars, and stores. It’s more modern than Phuket and cleaner too. Plus the topography is stunning, with jutting cliffs and islands popping out of the ocean. Aonang beach is really nice - soft sand, good for swimming, great views of cliffs and Four Islands. You can get to Railay Beach in ten minutes by long tail boat. Also lots of other day trips you can do from there including Koh Phi Phi, Four Islands, etc. Some by Longtail and some by speedboat.

The Aonang beach area is The BEST area in the Andaman Sea. Don’t miss it. Skip Phuket and go here.

I have just written an elaborate review and when I clicked \"submit\" I got a message back \"access to website forbidden\" Am trying a second time but just briefly.
The place ws great with a large porch, huge well equipped kitchen and great location. Good accoustics means that even if there was a lot of noise in the pool, it was absolutely quiet inside. Do not sign up with breakfast included, food is not impressive. But plenty of restaurants outside.

The lap pool was very clean and great to swim in. Rooms are a fair size but the lighting is poor so it is dark. It was nice to have the kitchen but the stove top was very slow to heat. Furnishings are adequate. Nothing fancy. The location is good as the markets and stores are just outside on the street. Breakfast was sparse. A good 15 min walk to Aonang beach. I felt the price was high for the quality of the hotel.

This is your place! Everything was perfect.

I did a lot on online research to find somewhere comfortable, quiet and in the middle of everything. That's exactly what this place is. The staff service is outstanding. They are very prompt and attentive. The common area includes ample seating and a beautiful pool. The rooms themselves are spacious and full of amenities. The beds and pillows are the most comfortable I've had in southeast Asia. Even though you're right one the main street, the rooms are perfectly silent so I slept like a baby. To top it off, the view from the balcony was incredible! (See photo) I had to stop and review this place when I left because it was that good.

Expensive, but the room is nice.

I liked here. Even though I thought that this hotel is quite expensive, (especially when I consider that it was off-season) the room is, at least, clean and quite comfortable. I also enjoyed the area. If the price is little cheaper, this hotel would be perfect one.

Best place to stay in Ao Nang

The Lai Thai was the best place to stay during our vacation in Ao Nang - Thailand. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and well equipped. Nice view from the balcony. Very good breakfast. Location was also very good for us. All you need is close by and short walking distance to the beach. I highly recommend this place to anyone who intends to stay in Ao Nang.

Close to activity, without the noise

These are new buildings. The staff are friendly and kind, from front desk to security. The pool has a dedicated lap area, as well as water play area. The view behind the buildings are fantastic. Our room (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining and lounge) had ample space for 3-4 guests. There was also a balcony. Although I did not personally use the gym, it appeared to have diverse range of good quality equipment. I did not try the food as we explored the local area. It is within 800m of the beach, with many areas for eating. The time to the airport was around 30 mins by minivan. 150 Baht for the trip.
My trip was based around scuba diving, and Poseidon Diving Krabi were able to pick me up every day!

Gutes Hotel zum ein paar Tage in Ao Nang zu verbringen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, zweckmäßig und, obwohl der Lage, überraschend ruhig. Die Rezeption war hilfreich beim Buchen von Tagestouren und Transfers.

最悪なホテル。
部屋のクオリティも大したことないが、とにかトイレと浴室が臭くて臭くて、吐き気がする！
キッチンの水道も臭う。
部屋全体もなんとなく臭い。
そのせいで、網戸もないのに、ずっと部屋の窓を開けないといけなかった。
あまりにキツくて、清掃の人に来てもらって再度掃除してもらったが、直らない。これは下水の問題なのだろうか？
おかげで、毎回トイレを我慢し気味になったり、トイレに行く際は息を止めないといけなかった。シャワーは水の出も悪く、臭くてシャワー浴びるのを諦めざるを得なかったなかった。
施設も全体に古く、ハンドウォッシュもティッシュも置いてない。
キッチンも部屋全体も大したことない上に、衛生的に非常に問題があり、不快極まりない。
これで、12,000円も払う価値はない。
非常に失敗した。

This was a very good hotel. Very clean and good staff always there to help. I loved the fact that the room had a kitchen so i could do my.own breakfasts and coffee etc. It is close to everything and not more than 10 minutes walk to the beach. There is even a small gym that i appreciated. Bur there could be more equipment maybe
