I would not recommend this hotel for people with major mobilization problems, it’s beautiful but many stairs 3 different elevators from Lobby to top small cars are available for transport to higher level.

We absolutely loved the unique concept of having rooms spread across different parts of the hill, which made the stay feel extra special. The rooms were spacious, the pool was amazing, and the pool villa looked so tempting that we’re already thinking of booking it next time. The staff at the buffet breakfast were very friendly, and we really appreciated the customised dishes prepared for us. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The views were spectacular and the location was excellent! Our room was modern and clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. A couple things to note (as to why I’m not giving 5 stars); the pre-trip communication wasn’t the best, as I tried on numerous occasions to contact the hotel with questions regarding transfers. Also on one of the days, we were enjoying the infinity pool, but a multi-generational family arrived and at least 20 kids were very noisy and disruptive in the pool. They completely took over so we had to leave the pool area as it was unbearable. It ruined what was to be a relaxing pool day.

We booked the Villa Pool and it was very comfortable for our week stay. Bed super comfy - 9/10. Breakfast was all-out excellent! Staff were amazing -particular shout out to Yob who was informative and patient in driving us up to the Villa almost every day. We loved our stay!

Views are amazing! The location is the best, close to everything and all the action. The staff is great and very welcoming.
Clean room. Welcome gift. As long as you are in the second building and beyond, no noise from the street.
The pools are wonderful and amazing views there as well. On site restaurants are really good with the breakfast totally worth it.

The rooms were beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, always ready to help. The location was perfect walking distance to so many restaurants and shops, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The amenities and overall hospitality were top tier. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. Don’t sleep on this place!

I should have known this was not going to be the luxury experience advertised when the hotel told me I should book my own taxi after I took them up on their offer to do that for me. But when I arrived, first thing I noticed was that the lobby is entirely different from the one that’s advertised. I think the one advertised is the pool bar but I’m not sure since I changed hotels the same night I was checking in. I decided not to stay because the room I was paying $500/night for had mold on the lampshades, hair in the shower, and stains on every single piece of furniture. When I complained they offered me a different room but the other room had the same issues. I changed hotels that night and when I asked for a refund they offered me a 50% refund and trying to hide behind their booking policies for not offering me a complete refund. Thankfully I didn’t accept this bogus offer and took the matter up with my credit card and they refunded me the full amount.

For anyone looking for a better experience I’d recommend Hotel Adam. That’s where I ended up and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was so kind and helpful, the rooms were spotless, and I’m pretty sure that every room has its own pool - and it’s almost half the price! It’s slightly further away but only a 5 minute walk to where you would be with this hotel.

To this hotels credit, the people working there were kind and understanding. I think the issues here are more a remote management issues than the actual staff.

The room we stayed in was nice size right above front street next to McDonald's and 7-eleven shops. It is noisy especially after 10 pm. There lots of bars and restaurants and massage places before you walk to the beach. Lots of trash and rude tourists along the way. Be extra careful when you cross the street even if you cross on the crosswalk. Most locals and tourists do not honor the crosswalk. Lots of tourists rent the motorcycle but don't really know how to drive it properly and follow any motorcycle rules. We saw a guy got hit on his motorcycle in front of the hotel because he either cut in front of the SUV or SUV wasn't pay attention and didn't see him. The hotel has helpful staffs. The breakfast room is like walking into a compound maze to get to. It was a hike when you are three building away. You will give up once the receptionist tell you when you check in how to get to the breakfast room. We were like by the time we make it there it will be time for lunch. So bad in design even our room it was like they decided to extend the bathroom in front on each side of the door. Toilet on one side and shower on other side and leave three feet gap of the door so when you poop your partner can smell the it as well. SMH There also a slight drop from the main room area to the bathroom and your door. It was fun at night when you are half asleep not to fall from the drop and injured yourself. Leave a light by the mirror on. We would not stay there again nor we will revisit Krabi.

The rooms are amazing. Very clean, spatious, and lots of free water. They have an espresso machine in every room. The views were great too. Finally, the unforgetable staff. All staff were friendly and always willing to help in any way possible. There are a few steps and hills to get to some rooms, but most are accesible via elevator and or buggy transfer (available 24/7). 7/11, subway, mcdonalds are all very close by if you need those comforts from home, and the rooms are far enough away from the street music, so you can always get a restful sleep.
Awesome job to all staff. It was a great stay.

I did a deluxe seaview room yet my balcony looked right into a tree, not the sea. Also had to take 3 different elevators to get to my room, which never seemed to be below 100% humidity. Keeping it at 79 before I arrived didn’t help. But real area that needs major improvement is front desk. To get anyone’s attention even when a half a dozen people were standing there was a challenge. They’d rather talk to each other to answer the phone than make eye contact with a guest. If I asked a question, I got a blank stare and then sheer panic as they would talk amongst themselves to figure out an answer to a simple question any front desk would know. Also tried to charge me for food at the pool that I did not order. Laundry was also expensive compared to other hotels. Pluses: central location for access to beach, shopping, massages, and dining. Nice to be in the same building as the pool.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. While we appreciated the friendly hospitality and cleanness of the property, we found the interior room layout puzzling.

There is a window look directly into the shower from the kitchen, and the bathroom door has slots in it, offering no privacy. The “second bedroom” is not a bedroom because it has no door, and it has a half wall facing the bathroom area.

There are lots of stairs and elevators with confusing layout design, making it very difficult to reach restaurants/swimming pools.

That being said, we did enjoy the spa and the infinity pool. The view from the pool is fantastic!

If we ever return to the city, we will not stay here.

Overall, our stay at Avani was decent, but the cleanliness could use some improvement—especially the couch, which was noticeably dirty. Aside from that, the hotel is huge, featuring a nice rooftop and pool. The location is great, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and it’s very walkable to the beach and money exchange services.

No major complaints—I would stay again, though next time, I’d opt for a mountain-view room.

We stayed at Avani Resort from February 9th to 13th, 2025, and had a lovely experience. The resort is beautifully maintained with stunning beach views. It is conveniently located on a lively street with plenty to do, including shops and a water taxi station within walking distance.

The staff at the pool area and spa were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing experience.

A word of caution regarding the WiFi: it asks for your email to connect, and after I connected, my email account was blocked, with multiple unauthorized attempts to access it. Thankfully, I had security measures in place, but I had to disconnect from the WiFi. I suggest using a SIM card for internet access instead.

The buffet was good, though breakfast could use a little improvement. One small suggestion: it would be nice if there was a designated area for smokers at the rooftop. We don’t smoke, and I personally get migraines from cigarette or cannabis smoke, which is quite common in Krabi. A separate smoking area would make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Avani Resort and would happily recommend it to others.

Iencountered numerous ants in my room, including dead ones from previous pest control efforts that hadn't been cleaned up before my arrival. Additionally, I had to wait two hours to check into my room. This was extremely disappointing, especially after spending a significant amount on the Pool Villa. However, the staff were very helpful and kind, doing their best to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, there appears to be an ongoing ant infestation.

The pictures were deceiving. First, it was not very accessible due to having to take multiple elevators and in some places only stairs to the rooms (with very steep wheelchair ramps). Inside the room the linens and sofa were stained. The tub on our balcony was dirty. The shower water sometimes didn’t come out unless we finagled with it. We also returned back from a day out to find our room hadn’t been serviced by 5 pm. The roof pool didn’t have towels one day, and service there took forever. The food was mediocre and overpriced - they didn’t even have mango or pineapple at the breakfast buffet. Overall, it was absolutely overpriced compared to other lovely hotels we stayed in around Thailand. Disappointed.

Overall incredible stay.

This was such a beautiful place. We had the rooms that overlooked the rock cliffs and it really was something we won’t forget! The bar/food service up at the infinity pool was always top tier and the pool itself had a view that was unbelievable. The breakfast buffet was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Very fresh and a lot to pick from! The beds were comfortable, staff was so kind, one of the best stays of my life. Truly.

This is an upscale hotel in the fun town of Ao Nang. It fronts the busy main drag yet once inside its a quiet oasis. Gorgeous infinity pool, 2 nice bars and restaurants. Food and service excellent and rooms are modern and clean with very comfortable beds. Walk right out to all you need for bars, restaurants, shopping and just 5 mins down to the beach. Wonderful spa as well!

We had an amazing stay at Avani! The staff were friendly, helpful, and we loved the room, spectacular view, and amenities. Most rooms (from what I could tell) have a hot tub on the balcony which wasn’t advertised but was great! The breakfast buffet had an amazing variety and the food both there and at the restaurant was excellent.

Our only complaint would be that the shower room by the pool isn’t at the same level as the rest of the hotel. We checked out in the morning but didn’t fly until the evening so we had inquired about showering by the pool before our flight. We were told we were welcome to do so, but when we went to use them there were no towels (they had said they’d be available), no shampoo, only cold water, and only a small drip of water at that. It then took us about 20 minutes to get towels and shampoo from the hotel staff. This was unfortunately a disappointing end to what had overall been a really lovely stay.

I booked a Superior room. The accommodation was very neat and spacious. I was worried about bugs and mosquitoes, but I've never seen them. All the staff in the hotel were kind. Especially the female staff in the lobby was very kind. Breakfast was more varied than I thought and the view was good. The location is nice. I would like to visit again next time.

The pools are lovely, but at times had multiple kids in it. Would definitely recommend designating separate kid and adult pools

My seventh stay at the Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort was marked by the resort's excellent management and the professionalism of the staff. While I was slightly disappointed by the discontinued availability of the private beach, this was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

The resort's location is exceptional, nestled amidst a vibrant area teeming with restaurants and shops, adding convenience and local flavor to the stay. Moreover, the beach is just a leisurely 10-minute walk away, making it easy to indulge in the seaside ambiance whenever the mood strikes.

There appears to be a strong smell coming from probably the drains. Some rooms smell more than others. The bed was very hard. Staff were excellent and nearly always friendly. Cleaning could have been done daily, as opposed to upon request. Upper level pool was awesome, but the sun chairs urgently need to be replaced. Oh and 10/10 breakfast curries.

Depends what you’re looking for

This is a difficult one to review. We booked a pool villa which was huge with a great pool if slightly in need of renovation (bad low pressure shower with mould up the wall, worn flooring, missing pool tiles). It was at the back of the hotel on the hill but was overlooking the sunset bar and the pool so not as secluded as we would have liked, however given we stayed at new year we ended up with a front row seat to the fireworks and celebration without being charged which was nice. However, there were issues with the hotel generally. There are a million lifts in different sections of the main building to use to get to anywhere and there don’t seem to be any service lifts so those lifts are almost always full of staff with crates moving things. Therefore if you don’t want to climb a hundred stairs it takes ages to get anywhere. There is nothing in the mini bar. It’s just a fridge. So you need to buy from the 7 Eleven. And room service wasn’t available after 10pm. It’s not what we expected. And the villas are like a separate add on to the main hotel so for that money I’d not stay again. Staff were generally lovely though especially the drivers of the buggies you can ask for to get to the top if available. Loved Ao Nang generally and we ate out every meal in town in the end, and that was great. It’s an easy walk to most things in the main town which is great.

HORRIBLE. The place catfished me - the room looked lovely online and had a view of the ocean. My room had a ton of street noise and a view of what looked to be a strip club (pic attached). The air conditioning didn’t work and somehow my room was hotter than it was outside (91F / 33C). I abhor this hotel. For the first time ever I left my fully prepaid nonrefundable reservation early to stay somewhere where I wouldn’t practically have a heat stroke every time I tried to sleep. Obviously they didn’t offer any sort of refund or apology. It was also wildly oversold - when I tried to use the infinity pool it was practically standing room only. Not even space to lay a towel down on the floor around the pool. Avoid this place like the plague.

Fantastic property! Beautiful resort with several pools and very happy with our stay. Location is mildly inconvenient since you'd need to take a tuk tuk to get into town but that's pretty easy since you can get one just outside the hotel.

Some minor issues for a 5 star hotel like the room-service app did not work for us and keeping towels available at the pools.

Slipped multiple times on property due to tile and rainy weather both outside. The hotel is basic but with great location to everything. Would not stay again as room balcony’s are so close together and don’t offer much privacy.

This property was in the perfect location, in the middle of shopping, the beach and several restaurants! The views were amazing, awesome pool and very attentive staff! It was a bit confusing finding our tower and which elevators to take, but we would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice hotel in an outstanding location. The staff were very diligent and attentive. The view is great and the infinity pool is wonderful. The only thing I did not like is that the 'superior' room double bed is in fact two single beds squashed together with a mattress topper layed across the top. The beds begin to separate after a little movement. Very inconvenient for couples hoping for a romantic stay. Be sure to specify that you need a real double bed and you should have a wonderful stay.
