The hotel cleanliness, food and staff was great. The pool, property and location was good too. Located in the middle of everything. The 2 negatives for me were the pillows and the old school bathtub/shower.

I would prefer a walk in shower as opposed to climbing in a bathtub 2 feet high. The 2 pillows were not comfortable and there should be 4 pillows not 2. I recommend 4 pillows so there are variety of pillows and the guests can choose between a soft or hard pillow

Pros:
-Great location, 2 minute walk to the beach where you can jump on a long tail boat to Railay and the other islands. Lots of places to eat near by. 7/11 next door. Outdoor pool area is lovely. Water very clean. Can order food and drinks bought to your sun lounger. Staff friendly. Breakfast buffet nice.

Cons:
- Cleanliness of room on arrival was poor. We found long dark hairs on the bed and in the bath and stains on the bedsheets. As we arrived at night we were so tired & couldn't be bothered to complain but shows that the rooms are not fully cleaned between guests. During the week room service was ok but room always smelled damp and musty even though we always opened the balcony doors.

- View: \"Street view\" room is actually the scruffy rear of some building rooftops. Yes there was a balcony but no direct sunlight and no view so didn't use it. Definitely pay more for a pool side view.

- Air con is very loud at night but if you turn it off the room heats up quicky so you need it on. Bed hard and uncomfortable. Room dark and dated. Old furniture.Various bits of damage to the walls, skirting board etc. Bedside lamp didn't work. Sink taps leaked whenever turned on. Mouldy tiles, damaged bath ceramic. Like other reviews have said, the rooms need a full renovation.

- Shower bath mixer tap was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Couldnt run a bath as just trickles out the tap and would take ages

The first room we booked was looking out onto a brick wall. When asked if we could change room the receptionist said the hotel was full. However if we wanted to pay an additional £700 there would be a room available. After the first night in our bunker room, we were able to move to a second floor pool view room but with an additional fee of £150 for the remaining 3 nights.

We would stay again. Excellent pool. Super nice staff and central location. Our room was facing the street, so it was loud - people, cars, music. We used ear plugs and it was fine. No elevator. Next time we will reserve a room facing the pool. Stayed 3 days. We're older than the average traveler here.

We had a lovely stay. Stay in pool access room. Every day we got our room made up and a little towel animal was placed on our bed each day. Breakfast was very basic. Pool was perfect temperature and clean. Location was great right next door to 7 eleven, all cafes restaurants and shops. Tuk tuk outside your door if you want to go anywhere.

Very impressive villa with direct access to the beautiful pool. The photos don’t do it enough justice - unlike other hotels that don’t live up to the photos! It’s not far from the beach but you won’t want to leave this pool! Not too many mosquitos in the area. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast was good but there’s many great restaurants all around also.

My favorite accomodation so far, the pictures do not do it justice 10/10 stay. The bungalows are perfectly spaced for privacy grounds and pool tidied 24/07 the pool so nice and clean staff lovely to I would recommend having transport or bolt app as not close to anything but I guess that’s why it’s so peaceful guests are family types and older people loved it!❤️

Really lovely smaller hotel with excellent, friendly staff. Pool area has a beautiful view of mountain/cliff and has very pretty gardens. We really enjoyed the hotel and it was very well located to everything in Ao Nang. Basic breakfast but adequate for us. Looking forward to our return stay.

I was not impressed with this property. I checked out and moved to another hotel as soon as practicable for me. Rooms are in desperate need a a makeover. The furniture and rooms are time worn. Room smelled musty throughout my stay. A/C works but is antiquated and loud. Sliding wood framed door to balcony did not fully close nor lock. Big gap under room entrance door. Good points are close proximately to beach & pool is nice. Will not stay again. I also did not find front desk and staff particularly friendly for helpful. Breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about.

We stayed two nights in a deluxe room. Check in very quick, pool was great.
Room: Bed comfy, shower requires a complete overhaul, view was basically a slated dark wooden structures to block out the the hotel in front(maybe consider a lighter paint) has it made the room even more darker. Breakfast was ok, would have better with better coffee, as in a coffee machine……

We loved our pool villa which had a veranda and direct stairs into the pool. It was well worth the little extra cost. The pool was lovely and the grounds were well kept! The breakfast was adequate. It was a short walk to the beach area as well.

Be careful for bed bugs...

The rooms at back side (Road side) haven't got any wiew. Front of the window completly closed by other building. I recomended must be book pool wiew room or pool villa. Swiming pool was nice. There are too many bed bugs in some room. They bite us all night. We changed the room. There are not bed bugs other room.

nice location..but for muslim quite far from halal restaurant which most of them are located near mosque..

however, it is reacheable by walking around 20 mins..or rent a bike..or take a tuktuk..

near aonang beach with fish statue..walking at the beach takes around 10 mins..

setbacks - no elevator..need to climb stairs..

The room is facing toward the street and also next to it was. A kitchen much lower where. I stay above it. It really annoying in the night when the exhaust fan is in operation noisy. And midnight bike are racing the engine. You can get proper rest actual. That room should not having rent out to guess. Room 311

Hotel location is good, but quality of service is pathetic. Staff doesn't even understand English. They know only local language and are very rude. First time I saw such behavior in service industry. Other than swimming pool the hotel do not have any facilities like games or gym, room size small and old furniture, mosquitoes. No action taken when you complain. Overall not a good place to stay.

Very descent resort with best accessibility option from Aonang Beach and buzzy street. we atleast walked downed to our 6-7 times in the evening walk. Its soo much convenient and walkable from main Beach and happening street.
Our room was Delux with Pool View. and it has excellent Cliff view visible straight from our bed as well. Full glass door in balcony. Worth it if book with Pool View.

The facilities were pretty and the breakfast buffet was decent, however, the room was very poorly maintained. We had feces on our bed and on one of our counters. Yes there was poo, as if someone tried to change a diaper on the clean bed before we checked in. I'm not really sure how that snuck by the staff, but we were pretty appalled. With that being said, it was a really nice location and a solid price.

Shower facilities needed an upgrade. Brown water came out of shower head! Let it run for a while and the water will clear up. You might want to consider brushing you teeth with bottled water if you worry.
Hot shower seems to be limited. I don't think I was given much chance to experience it haha.
Slopes for convenience to travel with pram or luggage at the entrance and to the pool villa but it can get slippery in wet weather if your footwear is not anti-slip.
Design of room is nice, loved that I could walk out of my room and into the pool immediately.
If you intend to stay in the pool villa, might do you good to prepare a mosquito repellent as the pool villa I stayed in was by a drain.

The location is very convenient, two blocks from the beach. We arrived after a long trip from Texas and found the room to be very comfortable. But I was very impressed with the pool: it's beautiful!! There are many restaurants in the surrounding area. The next morning we had the buffet breakfast, great in quality and variety. All in all I recommend this hotel and will return soon.

As good as it gets in Ao Nang

The hotel was in a great location . Staff where good upon check in . We only stayed one night and was placed in a room with a poor view . Breakfast was good with enough options . The hotel is a little on the older side but are most in Ao Nang . The hotel is in the centre of everything and only 100 metres to beach . The best thing that happened at this hotel was my partner left a watch in the bathroom upon check out . We contacted the reception desk about 1 hour after check out . The person at reception informed us the watch had been found and they would leave at reception for 4 days till we were coming back through . All went well upon pick up .

Good location, rooms could be a little cleaner.

Spent 5 nights in a Superior room. As I understand it all of these rooms do not face the pool. So, expect no view if you are on the first or second floors. Overall the room was clean and spacious, one double bed and a one twin. Not too sure why but the room had a mildew smell to it. Being only myself and I didn't spend all that much time in the room during the day, I didn't think much of it; others might though. WiFi is not the best but is adequate for checking email on a tablet.

Overall, I enjoyed the location, you are close to the beach and can find plenty of restaurants, shops, and tour guides within a 1 minute walk.

I would stay here again but would probably reserve a better room and maybe complain about the smell.

Friendly Staff, Clean Room

The staff was very friendly, expecting us upon arrival with our room ready. The room was incredibly clean when we arrived, and the staff did a great job each day returning it to that state. This hotel has a great location walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and massage parlors. The pool here is nice, and the breakfast spread has hot and cold food of all different varieties.

Disapointing.

When I checked in the reception staff had poor skills in English, the guy (Aleyah) had problems understanding what I was asking him, then a woman arrived who said she was the manager (her name is On) who also had trouble explaining my questions. When I enquired about a transfer the receptionist (Kotchapon K.) didn't understand what day and time I needed to go to the airport. My point is this, there should be someone with public relation skills and able to talk and understand English. It is supposed to be a 3.5 star resort.

We booked to stay two nights and ended up booking an extra night (directly) our 1st room wasn't that great as it seemed dated. I spoke with the reception to make them aware of the issues. Someone was sent to investigate the issues, however I think they could have done a better job. Our 2nd room was fantastic overlooking the pool area. I'd definitely stay at this property again , regardless of the small issues we faced. Overall great place, close to Ao Nang Beach and very close to shops and dining places.

Ao Nang Orchid is a very nice hotel very close to the shopping and beach at Ao Nang, Krabi.

The staff was kind & helpful.

Breakfast was delicious, but there were areas of the restaurant that were kind of over powered with a sewer smell. But if you just moved inside you would never notice it at all.

I left my camera charger there, and although I went back several times, the staff never recovered it.

Nice hotel every close to beach & all major shops

We (family with toddler) stayed in room with pool facing balcony. Rooms are decent in terms of comfort & cleanliness. The major advantage is its prime location. 5 mins walk to beach and all major shops (Family mart, 7-11 etc.) & restaurants (Thai, Indian, Italian, McD, Burger King, Subway etc.) within 5-7 mins walk. Pool is also nice & very clean.
Tour travel shop is located just outside hotel and can book all major excursion from there (very reasonable rates as compared to others).
Overall had a nice stay, staff was helpful and breakfast was also nice (though not that great).

Probably one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel may have a nice pool and decent breakfast, but it failed miserably at the most important aspect of providing its guests with a comfortable night of sleep. The furniture in the room are dated. The room doors are so light, it slams shut with a loud sound everytime some one closes the door. Imagine that you have returned from a full day under the sun and would really appreciate a good night rest, only to be awaken in the middle of the night by the incessant door slamming noise. One of the nights, one guest repeatedly slammed the room door for a good 5 min at 2am and no hotel staff came and attended to it. For the 4 nights I've stayed there, I never had a good night sleep. I will never return to this hotel again especially with the large number of hotels around the entire area which are just within a stone throw distance away.

Conveniently located near transportation stops

The hotel was was okay based on how much we paid and the service that we received. As a vacationer, I personally expect the staff at hotels/tourist spots to be more accommodating and hospitable. I unfortunately did not receive this experience. Everything seemed transactional but that might be because of the language barrier. The buffet breakfast was also okay.

The plus side is that the hotel is walking distance from the boats you can ride to other islands and stops for their taxi cabs and buses.

Other than that, the stay was neither good nor bad.

Great hotel but not response on inquiry

This hotel is really good. It provided HALAL food. But unfortunately, when I ask details about the shuttle service (during booking), the hotel didn't response. I quite disappointed on this issue, even I asked 2 times. FYI, this hotel didn't provided free shuttle service. Overall this hotel is really nice, clean, (no lift) & nearby sea. Hotel location is perfect. Just working distance to the surrounding or shop lots.

Hotel pro : good location, 7-11 just outside the hotel, lots of eateries, walking street just across, near to the beach, tours booth everywhere, umbrella provided, very nice swimming pool with warm water, big balcony, comfortable bed, friendly hotel staff etc.
Hotel con : furniture is a bit old, water heater temperature not consistent, hotel indoor slippers is very old (the floor is cold at night, otherwise we don't need the slippers), the cushioned chair was damp (probably the previous guest sat on it in wet cloth), wifi reception in room is poor, breakfast spread is so so.

I am booking a pool villa..the room is quite small but it has great access to the pool.

It\"s a nice place to stay for a short trip .
Staff very helpful and quick response for your needy . Location good just about few minutes walking distance to beach . Have a nice swimming pool . Breakfast just average maybe they can have more variety food . Overall it\"s value for money .

nice pool

stayed 4 nights with my girlfriend . it was quite comfortable, though the king bed was just two singles pushed together.

Good Location walking distance to everything.

My third time to Krabi and was never disappointed. To all my Muslim fellow, Halal food is every where here so don't worry. Food wise wouldn't be an issue. Everything else is cheap for shopping & massage. Will definitely come back for my forth time. :)

Mixed feelings

We stayed there for 3 nights. 1st night was horrible with lots of bedbugs on the bed. Had to move to another room for that night and got the room changed next morning. Next room was ok. They have mixed staff, mostly good but the night staff for the first night was horrible. Although they compensated our inconvenience with fruit platter and complimentary airport ride. However, will never stay here again. I'm sure there are better hotels out there in Krabi.

Lovely

No complaints, rooms good size and choice at breakfast good even thought no pork.
Ask for pool view if you want something to look at.
But more privacy on other side.
