Staff was exceptionally supportive, informative and helpful. They really enabled us to enjoy the full range of opportunities and activities in the area, rather than steering us into activities that they offered and managed. They provided honest advice and descriptions of what was available which helped us get the most out of the limited time we had.
The lobby and dining area are open to and well-integrated with the grounds, which makes it possible to enjoy the local animals and plants that live on the grounds and are a part of the resort.
One of the things we really liked is that Peace Laguna has a strong flavor of being on the Thai seacoast; it is not a cookie-cutter product that could be set down anywhere in the world.
Inside, Peace Laguna is quiet and peaceful with a broad range of ages and nationalities: from families with infants through people in their seventies with no particular nationality or age-range dominating. Yet the beach and the full range of restaurants, bars, shops and stores are just a block away.

Had an amazing stay - we were upgraded to a private cottage which was beautiful! Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nalinee, Joy & Yui, who helped my husband with his knee injury throughout the trip. Room service was amazing as staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel!

The receptionist staff were very unhelpful and had ‘upgraded’ us to a cottage… this is because the room we had originally booked was actually shut for maintenance, along with about 30 others! We were then shown to this cottage and as soon as the staff member opened the door, a lizard ran in, to which he laughed and said we would just have to call housekeeping if we saw it again. Long story short, we were moved to an upstairs cottage after complaining a couple of times as the receptionists didn’t even call out housekeeping (!), but the hotel is very run down and so we didn’t really see a difference…. We had ants in the bathroom and another lizard living on our ceiling. We wouldn’t recommend to anyone who is wanting to stay here for over 2 days as it is very dated and in need of renovation.

Spent 4 nights here as 2 adults and 2 children (9 & 11) in a Private Cottage on the lake. Brilliant hotel, well maintained and with great and helpful staff. Only issue we had with the room was the electrical sockets kept tripping but one phonecall to reception and 2 minutes later an electrician was with us fixing the issue. The outside showers were lovely and choice of 3 different pools was brilliant.
The location was fantastic too, right off the main street of Ao Nang and in walking distance to everything easily and quickly.
If you stay here and want to do a trip, we highly recommend using the stall at the end of the entrance road on the right. Ask for Bee, she was fantastic, arranged all our trips at a mich better price than anywhere else we spoke to.

Keep an eye our for the monitor lizard who lives in the hotel lake!

As always in Thailand the staff are always helpful and friendly, a nice quiet hotel not far from the main road or beach, nice size swimming pool, plenty of loungers, rooms are simple decorated,easylight switches, lits of hot water, and large pump dispensers of shampoo, conditioner andand shower gel, break fast was ok,I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful haven! The hotel really lives up to its name! Beautiful surroundings and yet walkable to Ao Nang. The bungalows are huge and well designed. Particularly liked the outdoor shower. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Peace Laguna was a haven away from the craziness of Ao Nang. The resort itself is pretty, with maintained grounds and beautiful gardens.

Like other reviews, the hotel is a bit tired and could do with some paint and uplifting here and there.

The three pools are nice, kept mostly clean. We enjoyed the pool in the middle of the resort the most, where you had an infinity view of the lagoon. It's a pretty spot for an afternoon of relaxing.

We stayed in deluxe cottage overlooking the lagoon and the main pool. The cottage was beautiful and a definite highlight. It was huge, comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the monitor lizards swim and reading. If returning, I would definitely reserve this type of room again.

Breakfast was good overall. A nice amount of choice, and as you'd expect for a hotel.

Service was okay, staff were friendly when you engaged with them.

One disappointing feature was the gym - I would not even call it that. Two or three of the weight equipment were broken, so much so that during our 6 night stay we used it once as it was just insufficient. For a 4 star hotel that advertises its fitness suite, this was substandard. I think if we had known this, we would have reserved elsewhere.

Don’t stay here - I warned you.

**TL;DR: Avoid this hotel.**

We stayed one night and showed up in the early evening and a few hours in the morning.

**Pros:**
- Friendly luggage attendant / welcome guy / takes to your room
- Lovely view
- Close to nightlife
- Good live shows
- Three pools
- Excellent omelette chef

**Cons:**
- Mosquitos in rooms
- Mold in the bathroom
- Terrible smell; had to burn a scented candle all night
- Poor service: No response for airport transfer, unfriendly receptionist
- First-floor rooms smell bad, possibly due to inadequate maintenance post-tsunami
- Lounging in the lobby, waiting for the scented candle to do its magic we overheard multiple guests requesting room changes due to their roof plagued by mosquitos.
- Cleanliness issues: mold, stains, general dirtiness
- Outdoor areas stink due to stagnant water

Spent 14 days in Thailand, and this was the worst experience. The hotel may have been nice 25-30 years ago. The luggage attendant and the first receptionist who welcomed us deserve better management and hotel owner. The reception seemed embarrassed and sympathy in her eyes as she apologized for having two twin beds vs a king. Her eyes said so much more.

Good luck, I warned you.

Very tired, older style hotel in desperate need of a refurb or even a paint. The rooms were very dark, the toilet didn’t flush.
We stayed for 2 nights, good location if you want the craziness of Ao Nang & great access to other areas. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

It seemed the property has been renovated with new floor tiles and paint. However, furniture seemed original and our king bed was lumpy. Internet speed in our room was good. Staffs are friendly and courteous, and do their best to keep the property clean. Our room was on the low rise bldg with a great view of the mountain. The beach and the long tail boat dock are only 5 minutes walk away. Location is good near restaurants, laundromats, currency exchange, and spas. There are 2 pools and pool towels are provided.

The hotel experience was disappointing overall. The plumbing system was poor, with our toilet clogging multiple times and a persistent smell of sewage or stagnant water in the bathroom. They attempted to mask the odor with an oil burner, but it remained noticeable. Cleanliness was also lacking; we found black hairs in the shower, on the sink, bed, and floor, and despite daily cleaning, the shower hairs were never removed.

The beds were uncomfortably hard, and there was no lift—quite a hassle considering many guests, including us, had large suitcases. Carrying our 30kg suitcase down four flights of stairs on the final day was exhausting.

The pool area wasn’t much better, as the flooring was painful to walk on. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast due to the high price and instead went to a lovely, affordable brunch spot nearby.

To make matters worse, loud music from a nearby strip club disrupted our sleep each night. The only redeeming factor was the central location, but the hotel is in serious need of renovations. Save your money and choose a different place to stay.

As soon as we got there, the hotel told us that they didn’t have a room for us, and asked if they could move us to their sister hotel (2 stars). However, they really made up for this. We got multiple perks (massage, free dinner, fruits) and an upgrade to a private cottage once we came back to the resort. The staff really goes above and beyond to provide guests with a good experience! Highly recommend.

This is probably the most run down hotel I have ever stayed in. I wouldn't be disappointed if it was rated as a one star hotel, however it is rated as 4 stars!!!!. Its absolutely filthy and not as the images at all on expedia. I have spoke to expedia as I was so disappointed with the false advertisement. The image look nothing like what the state of the hotel is in now. I am so disappointed as we travelled to Krabi to specifically stay in what we thought would be paradise. However, it was quite the opposite. It was dirty and lack of health and safety. I would say this is one above a hostel.

1. The hotel room was filthy, the toilet and drains smelt so bad. I changed the toilet sit during our stay as it was stained with filth (only after I complained). There was even old contact lenses behind the bathroom sink. (images attached)

2. The pool is run down and the water is filthy, broken sharp tiles. No luxury at all.

4. The outdoor shower is more of a hazard and filthy than anything. The drains were blocked ad filthy

5. The jacuzzi bath flushed out filthy water. And continued to do so So there was no where to feel clean.

Me and my friends rented one of the cottages and it was plenty of room for three people. The cottage had a fascinating outside shower from which you could see a mango tree and a comfortable bed, as well as a cozy balcony for late night beers or morning yoga. The staff is friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was incredible!

The hotel is located walking distance from the beach and the night food market as well as souvenir gift shops.

There was a lot of shopping and dining to be had within walking distance as well as the beach. The only things not perfect were the quality of TV reception and the hardness of the bed. The peace Laguna is a brilliant location to stay in Ao Nang. Short walk to the long tail boats on the beach and amazing sunsets. Very close to shops and restaurants in Ao Nang. Area felt safe and the people were very friendly.

The hotel itself was very well set out in nice garden setting around a lake. We saw monitor lizards and beautiful birds from our balcony.

We had a ground floor cottage room which over looked one of the swimming pools which was perfect for us and our children.
Room was spacious and an extra bed added for 2 adults and 2 children to share.

Cleaning room service every day was ok but they did miss our room one day so we asked and they sent someone later in the day. We also did have to wait for our rooms even though we arrived at 4pm - it was ok for us but not ideal.

Staff were friendly but busy. Seemed a little under staffed at times but they were always so nice.

Breakfast was nice, clean, fresh food and good selection.

We only used the pool next to our room as was so convenient- it was very clean and refreshing. Big enough for a swim and a small pool next to it ideal for small children.

The hotel brought cake and fruit to my room on my birthday which was a lovely touch.

Overall - we stayed with 2 adults and 2 children and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this hotel.

It was two couples travelling together. We had booked one room with two twins. Upon arrival, they gave us one King and rollaway bed. Super old room. Toilet flash was not working, sink was broken & air conditioning was not working. They ended up changing our room, which resulted in packing & unpacking. Overall expensive for what it was and for Thailand. Gym was an absolute disaster, super old equipment, making huge noise, half out of order, no air condition at the gym!!

The room is big and quiet, and it’s in the Ao Nang centre so it’s really convenient. Staff is really friendly and with a surprise birthday event! The resort is really big with 3 pools.

There were a bit of ants in the room first day but the staff cleaned and removed it with quick response!

Room was big but mostly just wasted open floor. Pools are nice but even though they advertise pool drink/food service and have menus posted no one is around to serve you or take your order. Not a huge problem at the main pool bc the lobby bar is close by, but at the other resort pools you are on your own... no service, no towels. There also seemed to be an abundance of employees that were hanging out around but not helpful. Some would be in the restaurant right behind the pool being loud and some were playing ping pong. None of them were tending to guests... maybe that’s just how it is in the low season. Also, there was construction at the main pool.

Since its off season, very less guests yet breakfast dishes changed daily, view from restaurant was really nice.room was comfortable, pool was good and location was really good. not all stuff greeted us, our stand shower was not propery working but we chose a room with bath tab, so it was ok. Resort was good big size.

We stayed at Peace Laguna for 5 nights in a Deluxe cottage. The cottage was great, spacious and comfortable. The outdoor shower was also divine. The only niggles is that the aircon isnt as cool as we would like and the room itself is quite dark. Great for relxation but a nightmare when you are packing / trying to find something! Grounds are also serene however the pavements need to be fixed, dragging our suitcase to/from reception really damaged our suitcases.

Great hotel, we booked into standard room but asked to upgrade to a private villa. We paid an extra £500 for 7 nights but it was well worth it. The private villa has a huge jacuzzi bath, ouside rain shower, balcony over the lagoon. Just perfect. There are 3 pools. Breakfast chouce was good. All staff helpful. And the location of it is perfect. Approx 200m from the main street of aonang but so quiet there it feels like a million miles away. Would highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back xx

It was an amazing experience.

Our aircon broke down and it was stifling hot but when we spoke to reception they upgraded us as they were having issues fixing it.
There was building construction happening nearby but didn’t effect our stay at all.

The free breakfast was great and they had good spa options available for those interested. We wished we could’ve stayed for the Thai dinner night but we couldn’t. Looking forward to coming back!

Oh and new development next door means there no short cut to beach any more
Only other comment is that German guests still think that by putting a towel on a sunbed before breakfast books that sunbed for the day - sorry but if I see a sunbed not being used then I simply toss towel on the floor and sit down!!!

Parents beware - when we booked this resort, it advertised a kids club, however, it’s actually just a room with a slide and a DVD player, in which children cannot be left unattended. We were highly misled by the resort, who then essentially held us hostage and refused to refund us so that we could go somewhere that actually had a kids club. This was day 2 of 8 days there. Highly disappointing, as the only reason we booked this resort was on account of the kids club. I believe they’ve since removed this from their website. However, it’s too late for us. Very, very disappointed.

Highly recommended!!

This resort has everything. From great pools, great rooms, awesome views and awesome service. Despite being in the middle of busy Ao-Nang, the place is serene. Highly recommended!!!

Good choice.

A very good choice. Close to all the action but nice and quiet. A lovely garden with two swimming pools. Rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Great staff. Recommend.

I’ve stayed in better hostels. You know you’re up for disappointment when straight after check in, they lead you to the separate building round the back that looks like a prison block, despite having opted for a superior room over a standard, without going all out for a cottage over the ‘laguna’. The first room smelt badly of damp and was very musty, and we’d also been given twin beds. Upon polite complaint, we were given a room two floors up, that thankfully had one bed and no musty smell, but the bathroom was covered in black mould. There were also dead ants all around the edge of the patio doors, under the curtain where the floors hadn’t been cleaned properly. We notified reception.
In their defence they sent someone up about 10.30pm offering to clean the bathroom, but as I was in my towel and ready for bed we asked for it be done the next day.
As the most expensive hotel of our entire stay in Thailand, we were expecting good things, yet it turned out to be the worst. The young staff tried their best to rectify our situation, but the management clearly aren’t keeping a handle on the standards, whilst being happy enough to take our money. It was incredibly disappointing. I don’t expect to turn up to my expensive hotel at 10pm needing to take a shower, but have to ask for my room to be cleaned first!
On our day of check out we watched a girl ‘clean’ the foyer floor with a mop - the entire foyer without once rinsing her mop, dragging a clod of hair and dirt along. Ugh!

Not worth the money

Stayed here over Christmas for 6 nights. 2 sides of the resort are surrounded by building work. Had a problem with the TV in the deluxe villa which took 4 days to sort out and still had a fuzzy picture after that so most channels were unwatchable. Broken toilet flush took 6 days to repair. Hotel staff said to take the lid off the toilet and flush by hand. Loungers round the pool poor condition. Hotel needs better maintenance. I’m sure it was lovely when first built. On a positive note the staff are very friendly. Disappointed overall given the cost of this hotel compared to others in the area.

Great location, nice setting

Has a very nice stay at Peace Laguna. I was a little worried about it being based around a lake as was bit concerned about mosquito's and possible smell from the water, however neither was a problem and the lake makes for very nice views. I had a deluxe bungalow, the room is spacious and comfortable. The outdoor private shower is a nice touch although shower is not powerful.

All staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. the pool is very nice although sunbeds were limited in the middle of the day, but fine for me as beach is literally a 5 min walk and was clean and nice. You can take a return long boat trip (boats run around every 15 mins each way) to Rayleigh beach for 200BHT. Rayleigh beach is really nice and definitely worth a visit.

Hotel location was excellent right at the end of beach road and minutes walk to bars restaurants, shops and beach.

Very good and generous hotel

We stayed 7 days in this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful, especially Kim who helped us with some issues developed with our fight back to Bangkok. The room was nice and the breakfast was great with so much to offer and incredibly generous. There is also complimentary free tea with more food at 4:00 pm which was nice. The hotel is 5 minute walk to the beach which was great. we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Good choice

A great location for walking easily to beach, stores and a wide choice of places to eat. Beautiful gardens and big, clean rooms. There are three pools to choose from and a good variety at breakfast. The staff are exceptional. A good choice.

Good location near beach is only plus. Very rude and unfriendly staff. Felt rushed at check in. No assistance on booking airport transfers or other activities. Room decor was boring and it smelled musky. View was disappointing. Shower flooded everyday. Pool was OK but you have to checkout towels and can only use 2 towels a day. Breakfast was mediocre. Wouldnt stay here again.

Best Hotel Resort in Ao Nang, Krabi

This Hotel is a hiding Paradise in Krabi. The location can not be better. Only 3 blocks away from Ao Nang beach and 2 minutes walk from the Main Street were a variety of Restaurats can be found plus farmacy and convenience stores. The atmosphere at the Hotel is just amazing! Very nice swimming pool, excellent Restaurant and bar, it makes the perfect place to relax between the beautiful gardens. The rooms are large, cool ir conditioner, nice WiFi and TV with good reception and variety of channels in English. In a previous trip I stay in one of the cabins and it was like a suite in a Five Stars Hotel. The best part was the service. Everybody were always smiling and ready to help with any questions. The manager on duty (I forgot her name) went out of her way to make my experience one more time an unforgettable one. Definitely the place to stay. I recommend it to anyone with my thanks to the staff.
