Nice hotel! Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly. The Cottage was further from the main resort than we expected. It is advertised as a 7-min walk (maybe if you were running). However, they do offer a shuttle to guests which is convenient. Our bathroom was not clean upon arrival, but the rest of the cottage was in great condition. They supply water each day, which was appreciated!

The phone in our room didn't work, and that's what you used to call for a shuttle to the main area. So we told three different groups of people and they still didn't do anything about the phone so we had to walk into the main area for lunch and dinner. Usually don't mind the walk, but in the rain kind of dampened things.

This was the BEST property in Ireland. I have stayed everywhere in the country and hands down trumps Doonbeg is the ONLY SAFE RESORT full of traditional IRISHNESS! I highly recommend this incredible resort to EVERYONE who comes to Ireland. If you’re looking for 12 star treatment, IRELAND, beauty, fun and safety this is the place to stay. The service is unmatched and the warm happy feeling you feel there is amazing. It’s so pleasant. The rest of Ireland is TRASH because of the government and destroyed tourism making everything into IPAS centers for migrant men driving down safety and running out Irish businesses. But not in Doonbeg, this property will have you feeling like you’re in IRELAND THE WAY ITS MEANT TO BE.

Just checked in a few hours ago and must say it’s one of the nicest hotels with the most helpful staff. We have stayed in numerous 5stars across Ireland and the rest of the world and trump doonbeg is definitely one of the best. Check in was done immediately by lovely gents at the gate and the facilities are top notch. Staff are excellent.

The four seasons of Ireland were on display during our 2 night stay at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel. We didn't get to fully enjoy all the amenities of the hotel, however, our cottage rooms were spacious! The hotel staff are beyond exceptional. So very friendly and accommodating. The dinners were wonderful and very tasty. We ate at both the Ocean View and Trumps Bar & Restaurant were both great. The boys played golf - because you can't go to Ireland and not play golf right? The pro shop staff helped them rent clubs and electric trolly. The course was in excellent condition - and we live in a resort with Palmer/Watson/Nicholas courses so my husbands standards are pretty high! It was a very memorable and enjoyable experience.

We got a 4 bed cottage to have the whole family over, there was 7 adults and a todddler, super size property, on suites were lovely. At the main hotel breakfast was amazing options i had never seen or tried before. Service always was top level. Dinner again was purfect. Loved the fact they had coors on draught. Only thing to improve i think is add a recycle bin in the cottage kitchen.

Let's start by saying we hate Trump. Having said that the property and staff were magnificent. My only complain was that i had to quit my round of golf on the 5th hole due to 50 mph winds that tipped the pull cart 3 times. I am a 2 hcp and conditions were too windy. I asked for a refund of the green's fee and was charged for nine holes. I thought that was in poor taste for such a high-end property. It is for that reason that i cannot give the property 5 stars. Estefania Perogna indicated that they would not give the full refund. We have played golf at many properties through the World and have never had anything like that happen. We came to Ireland to get the full links weather experience, but the wind conditions were extreme. There were locals playing and their carts were tipping as well. For my personal taste i felt conditions were too extreme. I called them on the 5th hole after almost being knocked to floor from wind gust. Estefania you should reconsider your refund policy. My wife and i played the day before and it was windy and raining hard but conditions were still playable and we had fun.

The property is absolutely breathtaking. Our suite overlooked the 18th hole. The golf course is wonderful. The suite was gorgeous. We would’ve stayed longer if we could. My only recommendations is that the gift shop would be more accommodating so we didn’t have to go into town even though it was a sweet village. There were more restaurants. But overall a magical place. A special thank you to a few staff members Shannon and Jennifer at check-in and the wonderful consigner. A few other fantastic people worked in the restaurants Meadbh, Ian, Oliver, Dan the Man, Sara, Breda, and all the other waitstaff for making our experience marvelous.

Ripped and stained chair (picture) Scuffed furniture. Toilet would not flush. Not a 5 star experience. Room needs update- should not be used especially at full price.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff and service but not quite worth the price. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were lovely but the carpet was old and a bit dingy, the furniture showed wear, and there was no desk. I did really appreciate the shutters and curtains which made the room dark in the morning. It’s a bit confusing to navigate the buildings but again, everyone is very helpful.

Property is so special. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Views are amazing, it’s right on the coast. Bed was comfortable. AC was actually cold (rare in Europe, in my experience)! It’s a huge golf destination, but I went w my spouse and it was very special. Highly recommend and worth the trek.

Terrible experience

Im afraid the arrival experience was so bad it was detrimental to the whole stay. I believe the exact wording of the welcome my wife and I received was an irate and grumpy \"what's up, in for a look is it lads\". In my opinion this was the exact opposite to a warm welcome and was at best shocking behaviour. I have no idea why any person would greet us in such a manner. Upon arrival to our room I immediately went online to try and book elsewhere, but the nearest available hotel was too far away37 minutes away and as it was already late in the evening, we felt it was too late to move elsewhere and so we decided to stay and try and make the best of it. When I made the complaint to reception, which lucky for me was my first complaint ever in any hotel, the gentleman who called me back to discuss the situation, who despite being very polite, tried to down play the situation by explaining that Trump Doonbeg try not to act too formal, that unfortunately their strategdy did not work out on this particular occasion. Despite our best efforts, the \"welcome\" ruined our stay and overshadowed everything else.

I paid Expedia the full amount of two night stay in a premier ocean view suite. The room was nice overlooking the 18th hole green. However, as I was checking out, a clerk at the check out named Jennifer insisted that I only paid €1170.43, when I actually paid $$1770.48, a full amount of accommodation back in November, 2021. She insisted that the difference was what I negotiated with Expedia. When I said that the accommodation was fully paid and asked her to check for the apparent mistake, she shouted at me by saying that I was not listening to her. I left by asking her to have their accounting department contact me to explain the difference. After one week, I still have not heard from the accounting department. Overall the service was OK but far inferior to three other five star hotels I stayed. The hotel is dated and need a modernization and better customer hospitality. Upon returning home, I am telling everyone not to stay there.

Disappointing that the restaurant and bar menu were the same- some specials in the restaurant would have made a difference. I understand with the times we are living in not everything can be supplied and there are issues with staff availability however, the hotel contacted us twice before arriving to book mealtimes and pick where we wanted to eat. It was not shared that the menu was the same no matter which choice we made.

A Wild Atlantic Hide Away

The setting was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. We had dinner looking out over the Atlantic and the view from our room was overlooking the countryside.
The golf course was well manicured and with the beach in walking distance there was plenty to keep us occupied.
The staff were very accomadating throughout the stay. We're looking forward to our return visit already.

The staff were so friendly, food was amazing and room beautiful. Only complaint was that nobody met us to great us we were told to wait and someone would be at our room to let us in. We waited 20 minutes before a cleaner let us in. Was a little disappointing as it was our first time, and as the rooms are outside the hotel we didn’t understand how it worked. After 40 minutes a staff member did come to our room and apologize which was appreciated.

Everything was fantastic- the staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, the room was immaculate, the grounds were beautiful. Especially in these COVID times you appreciated The effort that everyone put in, you felt safe but still felt you were staying at a luxury resort. Being a coeliac my husband appreciated the knowledge of all the staff and the availability of gluten free food. All the meals were delicious. The beach within easy walking distance was beautiful. We would definitely stay again.
