Hotel is very dated & the reception staff are rude. Pool was closed in late May. The room was dusty, smelled like cigarettes & the air conditioning hardly worked. The town centre is a long walk from the hotel too.

Be prepared to be nickled and dimed to death. You must pay per person in the room (which was 30/night, $60 total for 2 nights). Then $2 each person to go to the restaurant each visit. Its an old hotel (but its italy). Make sure you know what you want to eat before you sit because they do not show any menus and as you sit, theyre ready to take your order. I would not stay here again.

The staff at this hotel have been so accommodating, pleasant, and friendly! Definitely the best service I’ve experienced in Italy so far. I was quite uncomfortable on the mattress (they are firm and springy mattresses, and for a petite 100lb woman, I need something plush), however, they were beyond accommodating and let me try the other mattresses in other rooms (they seem to be all the same) and gave me all the extra pillows I asked for. My roommate did not have a problem with the bed at all, so for them to accommodate me was really special. Further, we had lunch, dinner, and breakfast here and the staff in the dining room are very helpful, kind, so friendly, and well mannered! The hotel meals were honestly better than the restaurant downtown that was awarded a Michelin in 2018. I would totally come back here for the delicious meals and amazing staff!

The airconditioner was not working, fridge was broken, safe was broken, had to pay to use their pool and staff was very unfriendly. Had to ask them to clean the bathroom, they took our dirty towels from the floor and hung some up again and left the rest on the floor. Didn’t have shower curtain, all the water went on the floor. When I complained about the dirty bathroom, they did not apologize but said that perhaps they could clean it the next day. Extremely disappointed.

The people working there were amazing, no complain about them. It is well located hotel. The policies of the Hotel are not attractive. What took me by surprise is the fact that you need to pay €8.00 per day to use the pool. Another aspect that made me uncomfortable is that you cannot eat outside food and use their trash. This is the most ridiculous thing, you eat what you like, it is your free time, and to avoid problems, I took with me the trash. The wifi was very poor and the AC did not worked well.

Nice location with great facilities.

Great hotel with super friendly staff, however it does feel a bit aged. Nevertheless, everything was clean and comfortable, and is a great spot if you want to hang out at the beach or at the hotel's own pool. Not a lot of other stuff in the immediate vicinity, but it's a nice town. About 1-1,5 hours drive from the airport, which is the reason we chose to stay here for our last night in Italy.

Terrible experience at the restaurant flat bier no menu given basically people came with hotel.com
Are treated differently from the other clients they said if I wanted a glass of wine I needed to buy a bottle so I got a bier , the bier was off flat ! As i wa starving and not menu was given I ask for a carbonara I paid 20 euros for that appalling very poor the manager finally was very apologetic and the. All of them very nice with me too late I am afraid

Hotel had rooms on the water side but this side was basically closed down for the season. Pool was also closed down. It did not have a view of the water as we thought we might have. Big Place if that is what you are looking for but very over decorated. Restaurant does not open till 8:00 pm for Supper. The beach which is actually across the street was dirty. Trash laying around and the sand seem to have a black film on it.

Do not choose this hotel. It's an absolute disaster. There aren't enough characters here to stress how bad it is.
The facilities are what I would expect of a 20 dollar a night motel. Not a 100 pound a night \"four star\". It's a 30 minute walk from anywhere decent.
The 1st room had brown water. The 2nd was a sauna with curtains falling off the walls and lights not working. the staff were so rude when we had the audacity to complain.
By the 3rd I was too tired to switch again. The bathroom is so tiny that I have to sit on the toilet sideways to fit. I'm 169cm hardly a giant.
The beds are hard enough to bruise your hips by the time you wake up. The beach beds are worse.
Don't bother getting up in time for breakfast. Grey scrambled eggs and stale bread? No thanks.
This hell hole of a place will not allow outside food. Now, I'm not talking about pulling out your own picnic in their dining room. I'm talking about eating potato chips in your own room. We were lectured by the hotel staff. This policy isn't on their website or the hotels.com site. So you get that nice surprise when you get here. I've stayed in hotels on 6 continents and never come across this garbage.
It gets better. They don't serve food all day.
Missed the garbage breakfast and want a snack at 11? No food for sale and you can't bring your own.
The beach? It's a sanded balcony. Only accessible by a million stairs, no disabled access.
I have never stayed in a place so terrible in my life.

The bathroom was tiny and badly laid out. You had to squeeze past the bidet to get in shower and had about a square foot to step out onto. The bed was comfortable and the room large with plenty of storage. The narrow beach was unusual but there was always a few free sunbeds which were included in the price, The breakfast was average for Italy with lots of cakes, basic cereals, yogurt, fruit and bread ham, eggs and cheese. Only one restaurant and 2 cafes nearby. You have to drive15mins to Anzio which has lots.

Great pool, beautifully located overlooking the sea and sparkling clean with handy bar and very reasonable prices. Very cute private beach with lounges and umbrellas. Nice lobby and restaurant with friendly service. Good buffet breakfast. Convenient free parking. Overall very nice and convenient. Room decor could be upgraded. It was ideal for our 3-day stay with 2 small children, 5 and 7.

Fuoco Lento meat restaurant nearby, delicious food, meat and service! Also, nice pizzeria 300 mts feom hotel, but pool restaurant was our fave, real beef, nice tonna panini, ice cream, kids loved it! Hotel has nice pool, this year beach a bit short, but okay for playing in sand, not the best beach area, but combine with hotel, pool, excellent breakfast, super nice staff, including our maid service in 306 and 308 on July 2-5, 2017, great stay!

Great pool, nice beach, rooms OK ...

I probably wouldn't recommend Anzio to most people, but we are on a long trip & wanted somewhere close to Rome (75 min to the airport!) where we could relax, enjoy a pool, the sea, and some good food. Driving to the hotel we had a bad feeling - not a pretty town. But once we'd checked in, what's right started adding up: good $$ deal through Hotels.ca, free parking, good sized room with a private balconey, decent bathroom, TV channels in several languages (including BBC & CNN). BUT really, if you're staying here it's all about a great pool kept at an excellent temperature, tons of loungers by the pool, on the sandy area below the pool, and right on the beach. The beach is shallow and safe for swimming. What you DO NOT want to do is walk from the hotel to the pretty harbour. Just NOT a pleasant walk. Drive the 5 minutes, pay your €1 per hour and enjoy the marina - list of nice restaurants, cafes, etc. We had good luck finding reasonable meals in the harbour area. From June 1st the hotel also has a snack bar just below the pool which we appreciated. Yes the rooms could use a little sprucing up, but we got a great rate & realllly enjoyed relaxing in the sun by pool & sea. If you don't want to pay for the hotel buffet breakfast, just two blocks away, by the train station there is a great bakery with lots of treats & great coffee. There was another cafe one block away but we didn't try it.

The hotel is very nice and a certain taste of elegance, but our stay was off-season.
The pool and beach facilities were not accessable, but we knew that. The free parking, staff, lobby and restaurant were all very good. We had some difficulty finding the hotel from the central part of Anzio.

Quiet Area, Private Beach

It was a little tricky to get to from the airport (we got a taxi to Torricola to get the train, instead of going all the way to Rome Termini).
Hotel staff didn't really communicate the fact there was a private beach so we spent two days (and some money hiring chairs and beach umbrellas) before we asked about the pool, since it wasn't sign posted anywhere.
They also didn't communicate that we had free WiFi, instead giving us information saying we had to pay for it until the second last day, so we wasted a bunch of money on mobile internet too.
Other than that, really great place if you want a relaxing break, almost no tourists, but also not much to do. Not a great selection of restaurants but the few were all pretty good.
I've already recommended the place to friends! I would suggest booking a hotel in Rome for a day, if you plan to visit, instead of getting up really early to try to beat queues :)

Accommadations were deplorable

We moved to 3 rooms in 6 days. The first had a broken toilet and had a high tub we could not use. All the rooms had no air conditioning till June 15th and they were hot rooms. The second room had a toilet jammed up to feet first into the shower. The toilet was loose and hard to get on and off without banging your knees. The third room smelled of mildew. The shower leaked out to the whole floor.

Stay for 1 day

On my vacation to Rome and Sorrento/Amalfi coast we decided to take 1 night in Anzio because of its close location to Fiumicino airport by car.

Pluses: 50min by car to Leonardo da Vinci airport in the morning
Minuses: stayed in the hotel room by the sea ( 3 star hotel, not 4 as mentioned). Old TV, bad picture quality. Conditioner working just and just to your face if you sleep by the window, unfortunately. Interferance in the room in poor, not 4 stars.

Recommend this hotel only if wish to stay for 1 night for transit vacation, not for durable vacation at all

Visiting Antzio near the Rome

For 4 star hotel this hotel was not very grand, rooms were oldish, hair dryer did not work and beds were like a stone. Access to the beach was nice, but do not expect anything fab. Neighborhood was not nice - good thing were the restaurants near the beach...

We also went to the Antzio museum - which is worth visiting if you are interested in 2nd world war..

Very good for the price!

Nice and clean, friendly, helpful staff. The sauna and pool were non-operational which was a shame, but the staff gave me 2 free passes for the fitness centre - which was tatty, but well equipped! A bit disappointed that the fitness centre wasn't included in the cost - not clear at all!! As I was under the impression that these facilities are normally included in a \"4 Star\" facility?! Overall though a pleasant stay!

Et godt feriehotell ved havet.

Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet like ved Tyrrenhavet. Det er ryddig og rent. Standarden har nok sunket en del siden hotellet var nytt. Blant annet fungerte ikke ventilasjonen på badet. Men rommet hadde kjølepumpe, så temperaturen i rommet var ok. Bassenget derimot var helt topp og ble renset hver dag. Dette var absolutt et pluss ved dette hotellet. Restauranten hadde bra frokost, men litt ensidig lunsj og middag. Men greit nok. Hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening.

Halutessamme varata Anziosta pöydän ravintolaan, pyysinme respasta hoitamaan sen, josta meitä palveleva mies totesi, että ei voi. Ohjeisti kuitenkin meitä googlaamaan ja soittamaan itse. Mielenkiintoinen kuva asiakaspalvelusta. Viimeisenä yönä huoneeseemme todennäköisesti murtauduttiin, sillä herätessämme ovi oli sepposen selällään ja lukko oli sisäpuolelta vääntynyt. Turva-asioista tietävä mies tuli hotellin puolesta katsomaan ja totesi kaiken olevan kunnossa. Hotellissa ei ole henkilökunnan mukaan valvontakameroita, joista asiaa olisi voinut lähteä selvittämään. Meiltä ei varastettu mitään, mutta olisimme toivoneet henkilökunnalta silti toimenpiteitä asian suhteen. Kirjautuessamme ulos meiltä pyydettiin kuitenkin turismiin liittyvä vero ja sen maksu. Meitä palveli eri henkilö kuin oven tarkistaja. En tiedä tiesikö hän siis asiasta. Jos ei, tämän kaltaisen tiedon pitäisi kulkea henkilökunnan välillä. Jos tiesi, anteeksipyynnöt ja pahoittelut kyseisessä tilanteessa olisivat olleet kaivattuja.

Helt OK resort med bilder som lyver litt.

Vi valgte hotellet fordi de hadde en privat strand med solsenger \"i havkanten\" i henhold til deres sider. Det første vi fikk vite når vi sjekket inn var at \"det hadde de ikke i år\". Kan fortsatt ikke skjønne hvordan de noen gang har hatt det, slik det lå til, så her lukter det litt lureri. I tillegg bar hele stedet litt preg av fordums glans, og det lå ganske utenfor allfarvei. Var mer en slags resort enn det badehotellet ved kysten vi trodde vi hadde bestilt. Men om du ønsker ett sted du får alt du trenger på ett sted uten å måtte forlate hotellområdet, så har du stedet ditt. Vi var to venninner på tur, så det ble litt feil for oss, men barnefamiliene storkoste seg og trivdes ved bassenget.

Hyggeligt hotel med plads til alle

Vi havde 7 overnatninger på dette hotel, og var meget glade for valget. Selve hotellet er lidt gammeldags indrettet, men der er alt hvad der skal være. Poolen er super fin, uden for mange gæster på samme tid og den private lille strand er helt som den skal være.
Værelsets aircon er super god, og sørger for at man i løbet af dagen lige kan køle lidt af uden at fryse. Personalet er meget hjælpsomme og der er ca 25 minutters gang til den hyggelige by Anzio. Vi havde bil med, som jeg kun kan anbefale andre også at gøre for at udforske områderne i nærheden endnu mere. Parkeringspladsen er gratis og overvåget, så bilen kan stå fint i fred. Alt i alt et rigtig hyggeligt hotel for både par og familier.

Il mare è a due passi davvero, il centro di Anzio a pochi minuti per chi ama camminare. Struttura un po' vintage ma con molti servizi a disposizione e con personale cortese e disponibile.

Stort dejligt hotel med swimmingpool og havadgang

Dejligt hotel med tunnel der fører til seperat swimmingpool område tæt ved standen.
Masser af solsenge og en terrasse med udsigt over havet.

Meget venligt personale der lavede en lille morgenmadspakke vi kunne medbringe i bilen da vi skulle til lufthavnen.

Selve byen er godt slidt men havneområdet er hyggeligt og fyldt med fiskerestauranter.
