I was allowed an early check in. Very friendly welcoming staff. Lovely spacious room, goo shower. Nice buffet breakfast, and good coffee.
The WIFI was very weak. I mostly could not get connected.

Joyful reunion

First experience in Italy, able to unwind and relax immediately. Excellent beach access. Staff is superb. Renunion with my husband after 3 months!
To sit and relax was wonderful, but the transportation in the area was lacking (not Lido Garza’s fault!) so take this into consideration. Hotel is getting a little older (like us) and just needs a little more upkeep than a new resort. But lots of character here!

Wi-fi intermittent, the rest OK

We were a bit put off by the general look of the place when we arrived but then saw that it was in the middle of a face lift.
Once inside the hotel was clean and the room was good and overlooked the sea - pity that there was a scrapy car park in between. That said, it was good value for money.

Hard to get to

No taxi available and no help from hotel. Had to walk 1.5 miles in rain from train station to hotel and wondered around looking for hotel because no one seemed to know where it was.

We understood that this was a 3 star hotel and were prepared for that but felt that the hotel seemed stuck in the 70s and was a little \"tired\". The breakfast staff seemed to need a little guidance and replenished items at the end of the breakfast sitting rather than during. Very little English was spoken and there seemed to be no leaflets or books of excursions and information about the area. We would have liked to have hired a car but there was no leaflets available anywhere. Overall we felt the hotel was set up for Italian guests mostly and didn't seem interested in helping anyone who didn't speak Italian.

The room is listed as having a \"yard\" but we did not have this and also we did not have an \"expresso machine\" which was also in the description.

The pool looked adequate but to get any drinks etc you would need to get dressed to go back into the hotel to get one as the pool bar was closed. Consequently no-one used the pool during our 9 day stay as far as we could see!

Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you are not Italian.

Convenient hotel in a convenient location

I use this hotel quite a lot as I regularly visit family in the area. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. It is across the road from the beach and Anzio is a short walk or drive away.

Good enough cheap accomodation. Considering the season (october) cannot judge access to beach and facilities. I was there to visit family and accomodation convenient.

Tired hotel in run down area

We stayed at Lido Garda on a road trip through Italy. We found parts of Anzio to be run down and quite depressing. We visited the Commonwealth War Memorial, which was a moving experience in reflecting on the WWII battle at Anzio.

Outstanding service

Stayed here with wife and 2 small kids. They upgraded our room at no charge as I made a booking mistake. Let us check out very late, no charge again. Staff was EXTREMELY Helpful. Right across the street from the sea and beach. Only negative was that there is nothing else to do and no where to eat but pizza in the area. I would still highly recommend this hotel if you want to just go to the beach.

Well located great value for money hotel

Have stayed at this hotel several times now. Although it's a little distance from Anzio itself, it's conveniently located 5 mins walk from the train station and is 5 mins drive to Anzio itself. There is access to the beach, and the hotel itself has a small pool. Staff are friendly and the hotel is simply appointed, if a little old fashioned, but it's clean and very good value for money.

Ideal for a stopover

Although the staff were very helpful (especially the night porter!), the hotel looked like that it had had a few hard years and was at the end of the season - which it was.

The pool could have been a bit cleaner (but they had had a few days of bad weather) and although we chose a smoking room for a balcony, the whole room smelt like it had been closed up for months. However, a couple of hours with the patio doors open solved this.

I always say 'you get what you pay for' and for the one night we stayed there......it was more than adequate.

Can highly recommend the breakfast buffet and the Chinese restaurant next door for an evening meal!!!

Friendly place by the sea

The hotel is in a great position opposite the beach and is convenient for the railway station, only a 5 minute walk. The staff were all very friendly and helpful although limited English speaking, but then it is a good opportunity to practice Italian. The standard of cleanliness was very good throughout, both inside and outside the hotel but it has to be said it could benefit from some investment in some areas. Slightly jaded furniture and fittings but it did not detract from our stay, everything worked and we had no problems.

I think the extra for the sea view would be worth paying, ours overlooked the pool., they also have a balcony.

There is a great restaurant about 500 metres from the hotel, ask at reception for details, which saves a walk or taxi ride into the main town; thoroughly recommend this restaurant good food and very friendly service. The hotel is away from the centre of the old town in an area of holiday and apartment homes so is a bit lacking in attractions and atmosphere but it is safe and clean.

Overall I would recommend the hotel and stay there again.

Classic italian hotel.

This is a classic Italian hotel with lovely sea views. It exudes a level of cool that only an Italian hotel could. It is within walking distance of the town centre apart from the heat which is month dependent. The room we had was sea facing with an open balcony which had the sun all day. The only poor point was the bathroom which was tight for space with a poor shower. Overall an excellent stay.

Good for the beach and Anzio

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel is a little dated eg air con not working, shower enclosure needed replacing but did not detract from our stay. It is about 20 mins walk into Anzio, and 2 mins from the local beach. The hotel was easy to find, good parking. We went the last week of May, nice and quiet. The season starts properly on 1st June when things did get busier. Overall very enjoyable.

Ideal business visit hotel

I arrived late,9.30 pm and obviously there was no food, however the Consiege, Silvestre, recommended a restuarant 400 metres walk away, which was excellent.

Breakfast was very good and had a superb selection of cooked and cold food.
My visit was onlt 1 night as I was on business but was very comfortable. My room was on the 3rd floor with a balcony and sea view, very refreshing in the morning. Although it was quiet at night, th emorning traffic was a little noisy, but not a great problem.

Great Last Night in Italy

Needed a place fairly close to Rome for a 1pm flight departure. What a wonderful surprise! We had room 66 which is top floor on the southern end of the building.The room was very clean and comfortable. What a surprise to receive a silver tray with a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with! We enjoyed Champagne while watching the sunset from out balcony. After a rest and swim at their pool, we went on a beach walk. We ate at the Italian \"Chinese\" Restaurant right next door to the hotel. We had a wonderful 4 courses plus Peroni beer and water for under 20 Euro. Breakfast the next morning was probably the best breakfast we had on the entire 2 week trip. Eggs, bacon, vienna sausage (but nicely griiled not boiled!), pastry, fresh squeezed juices (only hotel to offer this), cereal, coffees and tea. Staff was fantastic and gave great directions to highway and suggestions for time of departure. They also offered to have a breakfast ready if we needed to leave before their 7:30 am start time. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to get away from the typical tourist crowds and explore a small Italian beach town.

reason to going to anzio, father in law was captured on the anzio beach landings. went to beachhead war museum very interesting and owner very helpful. beaches very good. language a bit of a problem learn basics before you go. only an hour train ride from rome very cheap.

Mixed review here. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, but the fixtures- furniture, etc in the common areasand roon were quite worn and shabby. Common area floors were dirty- very uncharieristic of hotels I've stayed in in Italy. The guest room itself was quite clean. We had the Eu 15 three course dinner, including a nice bottle of local wine, and it was a terrific meal and an exceptional bargain. The hotel needs to be upgraded and kept cleaner, but otherwise it is a good bet.

We want to go back to Lido Garda

The Hotel is quaint and we would go back there anytime. The staff was so very nice. The dinner was absolutely one of our very best and we stayed all over central and sourthern Italy. The breakfast was extremely good. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay at Lido Garda longer.

Flott opphold, kommer gjerne tilbake!

Fantastisk utsikt til solnedgangen fra flott og romslig balkong. Deilig med basseng i hagen. Gode senger og velfungernde aircondition. Hyggelig personale. Når vi ikke fikk tak i taxi, kjørte resepsjonisten oss til fiskebrygga. Vi fikk ha rommet to timer etter utsjekk, da vi hadde sent tog til Roma, vederlagsfritt. Resturanten på stranda rett over veien for hotellet anbefales til lunch. Nydelig sjømat! Husk å bestille bord dagen før, for her er det populært. Husk også å be om et rabattkort i resepsjonene når du skal leie solsenger, så får du litt rabatt. Håndklær til poolen får utlevert i resepsjonen.

Vriendelijk personeel waarvan de meeste wel een goed woordje engels konden. Mooie nette kamers die elke dag schoongemaakt werden. Alleen jammer dat de airco het niet meteen deed en ze het schoonmaak/do not disturb niet lezen zoals het is. Als je deze buiten hangt, ongeacht met welke zijde voor, komen ze helemaal niet schoonmaken. Maat verder een erg fijn hotel.

Отдых в Италии

Отель в общем то соответствует своим заявленным трем звездам. Расположение достаточно благоприятное для отдыха, однако вблизи отеля нет магазинов с товарами для отдыха. Ближайшая лавка с полотенцами, зонтами расположена в районе порта, в трех километрах от отеля, да и то там цены достаточно высоки. Нет конкуренции! В отеле очень приветливый персонал, отзывается по первому обращению. Сам отель, конечно местами просит ремонта, но в общем то для отдыха достаточно. Завтраки хорошие, разнообразие продуктов, конечно одно и тоже за 10 дней с малым отличием в плане набора фруктов, отличается от отелей даже с более высокими звездами в лучшую сторону. Уборка в номере проводится качественно, смена белья и полотенец по потребности. Очень хорошо предусмотрено наличие полотенец около бассейна, нет необходимости нести свои. Взял чистые, использовал и выбросил в контейнер. Вот только пляж, который располагается через дорогу и имеет одноименное название с гостиницей, не имеет никакого отношения к отелю. Есть только 20% скидка на зонты и лежаки. Но если Вы придете позже, чем местные жители, мест не будет и Вас попросят на выход. Деньги иногда собирают не выдав чек, а написав от руки, за что заплачено. Здесь же для удобства существует ресторан, в котором можно поесть в обед или выпить напитки в течение дня. Однако качество, например паста с морепродуктами мне напомнила доширак с мелкими улитками, не совсем удовлетворяет. Зато все компенсирует море. Вход в воду комфортный. Персонал не очень.

Hübsches Hotel am Strand

Angenehme Menschen arbeiten hier und versuchen alles um es einen so angenehm wie möglich zu machen, Lage am Meer ist super, Frühstücksbufett war alles lecker, schöne Innenausstattung des Hotels, zum Ortszentrum ca. 15 Min laufen, fährt evtl. auch Bus, wir hatten einen Mietwagen, Strände sehr gut, Anzio schöner Ort zum Essen gehen, Leute gucken ;) und auch mit Hafen, alles da für einen relaxten Urlaub

Das Hotel verdient mehr als 3 Sterne. Sehr hübsch, sauber mit rundum Service und freundlichen Personal. Essen war frisch und lecker. Perfektes Hotel für die die kein Touristen-Getümmel vertragen.

Hôtel à une demi heure de la ville. Chambre grande et confortable, avec même un balcon vue sur mer, mais peu isolée: bruit à la fois de la route et des chambres voisines. Personnel un peu froid dans l'ensemble. Petit déjeuner ok.

Bellissimo hotel

Siamo arrivati in coppia io e la mia ragazza per fare una piccola vacanza, che dire.. STAFF ECCEZIONALE! Cordialità e disponibilità massima!
Hotel facile da trovare, e che dire della vista mare.. a due passi dalla camera! Siamo stati un bel pò di ore ad ammirare il panorama dal nostro balconcino.
Camera buona, e spaziosa con frigobar disponibile ecc.. con tutti i comfort possibili
Forse da peccare la pulizia.. su 5 stelle.. 3.. per quanto riguarda la camera, es. Dei capelli non tolti nella doccia.. piccole cose ma che comunque quando vai a pulire bisogna togliere.. altrimenti non ha senso avere \"una donna che ti pulisce la camera\"
Per il resto tutto okay!
Il mio giudizio totale è 4 su 5.

Inte prisvärt, slitet och livlöst hotell

We were on our honeymoon and didn't want to plan all our destinations and stays in advance So in last minuted we decided to go to Anzio from Rome. This hotels was a disappointment :( The photos look so much better \"pimped up\" and styled. We booked there best and most expensive room and that was not what we got. The hotel felt old, warn and there was no life to it. There was no coffee machine at the room as it said in our booking and the bathroom was small with an ugly shower cabin. I was so disappointed that I started to cry. The only good thing I can say about this hotels is that the older man who check in us was very sweet and there was a nice beach close by and the room was clean.

Bra lite äldre hotell trevlig personal ligger dock lite ensligt med mycket bostadsområden runt omkring, Nära och bra strand några få men mycket bra restauranger i närheten
