Excellent place to stay. We travelled in a group of 4. We LOVE this hotel. From the room to the facilities to the breakfast buffet…everything was top notch. We will definitely come back here.

Infinity pool was only available to swim at 4:00pm which was kind of a bummer. But there were 2 other pools in the next building with option of closed or open. Walkable to the busy streets of Ninh Binh with food, shopping and other stores.

Infinity pool on the top deck is only open from 4:00pm - swimming is not permitted before this time which was kind of a bummer. But there is another 2 pools (closed and open) in the next building which was convenient. Hotel is in a great location, outside the busy streets but walkable to shopping, dining options and many other stores

The hotel looks nice and modern from the outside and is attached to a convention centre. Positives are the rooftop pool and bar is amazing, room is very large, bed is 6ft and very comfortable and shower is very powerful with hot water and bathroom is a nice size. Staff are excellent and engaging but only a few can converse in English.

Negatives are the breakfast food is below average [food is generally excellent in Vietnam so the bar is set high] with only basic vietnamise coffee on offer and lattes, americanos are a supplimental charge [which is super expensive by vietnam standards], hotel shows signs of neglect, WiFI keeps dropping out, rooms are dated and the hotel is a 3 star by western standards.

Probably the worst thing is the location which is in the middle of nowhere in a industrial area/building site with very limited facilities other than a nightclub. Do not stay here if you want to enjoy Ninh Binh.

its really more like a convention hotel, staff was not much accommodating until i spoke to manager- ok after that, pool outside not very clean
breakfast choices limited- again good for convention etc not so much for individual travellers

Fantastic stay over Tet.

The hotel was great. Room was large, bed comfortable. The staff was super friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was great qnd we enjoyed dinner as well.

We stayed here shortly before and during Tet, so was odd in that it was like us qnd maybe two other families our first night. The restaurant was open during Tey which was a blessing as almost nothing in town was.

The property was great - definitely one of the nicer ones in the area.

We struggled with planning custom itineraries with the staff since none of the pre-planned tours fit the locations we wanted to go to.

We had hope that the hotel could help us organise drivers to and from locations, but they couldn't help with that.

The amenities of the hotel was nice since it had multiple pools. We just wished we had stayed a bit longer so we could take advantage of them all.

Very clean hotel, huge rooms and good amenities. Very professional staff, our check-papers were ready and all 6 rooms for our group were assigned on the same floor

I wish we had more time at this hotel.

On checking out, the staff gave us 12 water bottles and that was a sweet gesture

Fabulous people including Ha and the pregnant lady on reception.
Rally nice hotel with terrible lighting in the rooms and literally in the middle of building sites and abandoned new builds.
However really nice, lovely pool area, warm indoor pool, great big room with 4 windows and fabulous helpful people. Made us feel like we were their own personal guests. Thank you.

An enormous room, I mean big! Ninh Binh was quite hot while we were there and the Ninh Binh Legend Hotel was a very welcome break from the heat at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly and attentive and we really enjoyed our brief, but restful stay.

The hotel must be truly a legend in the area. When told taxi drivers to go to this hotel, they all well recognize it. The free shuttle service from/to train station was very reliable and convenient. The 2 people (Nancy and Thik) who helped us during the stay were truly 5-star employees. They helped us arrange and car, taxi, exchange money and store our luggage. We are extremely thankful that you have employees like them.

Lovely hotel, big spacious rooms and comfy beds. Staff are just lovely, extremely courteous, and the management team went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had some excursions cancelled due to an approaching storm so the managers son took us for a private tour of the area to local historic sites, even visiting a relatives house for a cup of tea in their courtyard eating fresh lychees while the rain fell, was very special to be welcomed as though we were old friends like that.
A couple of things in the rooms are showing their age like an older TV but they are in the process of building a new additional complex and those things were minor. Everything is very clean. The steam saunas and private massages were very good. We will definitely go back there.

A good base for exploring the area

Overall was very happy with the hotel . Staff were excellent- specially Thao who went out of her way to be helpful. A great spot to explore Ninh Binh from... we rented motorbikes(scooters ) from the hotel which was very easy. Otherwise you need a car or driver.a lot of building around the hotel but it didn’t bother us.

Dreadful location, staff have limited knowledge

The hotel is situated in an area of demolition and rebuild. In essence this hotel is in the middle of a building site and the area is pretty unattractive. As a lone female traveller I asked the hotel for advice as to where to eat in the evening in the city. They sent me in a taxi to a very inappropriate area where I felt very unsafe and there were no restaurants. I got the impression they mustnot have known the area. I struggled to get a taxi back to the hotel and it was quite a scary experience! Ninh Binh is not a tourist town. In the daytime the surrounding attractions are nice but these are best done as a day trip from Hanoi.
My advice... Avoid this hotel!!! It looks nice in the pictures however the pictures do not show the outdated rooms nor the setting of the hotel externally.
Also the massages are the worst I have experienced.

New hotel that needs to improve on many aspects

The plusses:
1. Clean and new. Everything works.
2. Staff friendly and try to help with limited English abilities.

The minusses:
1.,Location is terrible. Maybe in 3-5 years when the area is built up it will be okay, but for now not good. You cant go for a walk anywhere... Not safe.
2. Staff can hardly speak or understand English at reception or in the dining room. You ask for one thing and receive another.
3. Meals sub-standard. At breakfast the cook was hardly able to make an omelette. He had no cheese available and did not even know that one of the basic ingredients of an omelette is cheese. Once he understood the order, he fetched cheese from the cheese table!!! End result looked more like a scrambled egg than an omelette.
4. Massage salon provides only very limited options. Massage itself was good though.

Legend of Ninh Binh

Returning to the Legend, we stayed in the deluxe double room. Very comfortable although found the bed a little hard. Hotel is located a little from the centre of town but still accessible. Looking forward to returning again.

Business Hotel with French Tourist

My impression of this hotel is about two.
One is HUGE Room. bigger room than any other hotel that I've stayed before.
Second is a lot of group tour from French. Most of staff speak fluent French than English.
Food is OK in general, I couldn't bite the steak properly though.
The staff is very kind to me. If I would be there again, I still consider to re-stay this place again.

Great price, outstanding quality

Located in rural area without close access to alternative services. However, hotel is complete and equipped with free wireless throughout. Only gripe was a few local power outages out of their control. Otherwise inhouse restaurants and breakfast buffet was very good and very reasonably priced.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean.
The shower plate from the rain shower and also the hand shower absolutely need to be cleaned, because hardly any water can get through.

Breakfast is good, but the
You have to pay for the cappuccino for breakfast very annoying because the coffee from the pot does not taste good.
It is also not clear that you have to pay for the refrigerated water.
The seat cushions in the Skybar are sometimes very dirty.
