The room was clean. However, 2 of the containers were off the wall, laying on the counter. All three, soap, shampoo and conditioner were completely empty, and looked like it hadn't been filled in a while. The ice maker was broken and looked like it had been broken for a while. The hotels' web site advertises a continental breakfast. Nope. In fact, when we stayed there in 2023, they said that they hadn't served the breakfast since covid. They need to update their website to reflectthat there is no breakfast offered. Room door was hard to completely close.
Plus side - clean room, comfortable bedfront door parking and good price for the room.

Passable, but a bit rough and dated.

Check-in service was passable, but sub-par. The room was generally clean, air conditioner window unit was fairly loud, and bed frame/platform of sheet metal made loud sounds on sitting on it and when shifting in sleep...waking me up. Wall and shower finishes are aging and rough. The room was good if you're expecting a youth-hostel experience or have lower expectations. I would not recommend this for husbands traveling with wives. For a few dollars more, there are probably better options.

When I checked in, we did not get two rooms together, even though we signed up months ago. Also, a man who works there walked though the lobby into the near bathroom, and proceeded to pee without closing the door.
We were promised a continental breakfast every day when we signed up. There was not continental breakfast. My room was missing soap in the dispensers, and the other room had ants that bit someone on the leg at night. They didn’t clean the rooms between nights, or even offer to. They just changed dirty towels.
It was clean when we got there, though.
I would not go back or recommend this hotel.

When we went to the room it was filthy, there were little black droppings on the bed, not sure what it was. The room was not clean, we went right to the desk to tell them we were not staying there. They charged my credit card anyway, I called for the manger 3 times and they will not return my call. I am disputing the charges today.DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

It I could give this property a zero, I would. Photos are misleading, no free breakfast as listed. Door did not lock properly all the time. Window locks did not work. Air conditioner was terrible and the heat stayed on while the air conditioner was running. Left after 2 days and asked for refund from Orbitz. Property owner lied and said we had been there 4 nights, when the dates had not yet even passed and we had spoken to them in person when we left. WiFi was super slow and was turned off at night. This property should not come up on searches as they are committing fraud and poor business practices. Sheets were stained, towels were gray and stiff. Bathroom was tiny and only had half a shower curtain. It what I would expect based on photos. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

This property canceled my reservation without even contacting me at all. I had a confirmation email of the reservation a week prior to the stay and they didn’t care about that at all. The desk clerk manager was very uncooperative and told me it was not their fault that the reservation was cancelled by Expedia. Expedia never contacted me about a cancellation either. Terrible customer service!

“Remodeled” to become unsafe and unusable

The manager was a kind woman who asked what she could do to make things right. The property and the level of maintenance, however, were horrific.

Pictures tell the story. Not the two 8” 2x4 pieces on the wall to hold up the cable adapter in “closet” photo. Just rough lumber sticking out of the wall. Nails sticking out at the bathroom threshold. Door had to be slammed to lock.

Nothing welcoming or particularly clean. Soap in the bathroom didn’t work. Replacement just leaked into a cup. I hardly see that as sustainable. Just give me a little bar of soap.

Absolutely unimaginable. Don’t even think about this if you are on the run. Worst hotel mistake I ever made.

When we had no hot water for the second day, and the bathroom smelled so strongly of sewage that we were gagging, we decided to leave and forfeit two nights of payment to get out of there…
The room was quite basic, and had some funky smells and dirty edges, burn marks and stains on linens, no soap, no breakfast, no wi-fi, lots of bugs, both dead and alive, and very questionable wiring. When we had no hot water, we talked to the manager who said he’d look into it. The thin, scratchy towels didn’t help much after cold showers. When we went back the second day with the same issue, he became rude and defensive, saying he had fixed it and it was fine. When we raised concerns about the sewage smell, he claimed that his workers were just in there and hadn’t noticed anything. He refused to refund us for the 2 nights that we didn’t stay for, and refused to acknowledge any of the problems. Never, ever stay here!

The room was clean. The internet really sucked. It would be there with one line. Then it would totally disappear. To have no internet. The router was right outside the door. I said something and the mamager got upset because I was complaining. There is no breakfast or coffee. They give you a bag with stuff in it for you to tske back yo your room.

Our room looked like it was updated as far as paint and flooring. The beds were clean. The towels were ridiculous (old, small and some stains). When I asked for more than the one towel that was there they acted out out and took forever to bring more.

*Horrible* hotel to stay at *save your money*

*No Heat* - *No Hot Water* - *Bad Customer Service*. After all ready paying $74.00 for the room through HOTELS.com, I arrived to the hotel and I was not even going to be able to get a room key without having \"$100 on a card for the hotel to hold\". Without having that $100 on a card I wouldn't be able to get the room, even though I already paid for the room. When going into the *12'x12' room* with a dresser blocking the heater. The Heater Did Not Work so there was No Heat, then when going to take a shower there was No Hot Water.
By far one of the worst places to stay at.
*I advise not staying at this place *

The online information Expedia gave was misleading! There was no breakfast, not even coffee!! Despite it taking a long time to find the solitary employee to check-in, she was a pleasant person. We got the broken coffee maker swapped out and the notes we left on the non-functioning equipment in our room were rectified the next day. The rooms are tiny, but we worked around that, placing our luggage on the bed, or a table. We could see that the owner had recently updated the facilities.

Unfortunately, We ended up leaving. We just felt like it wasn’t a safe area. Looks like they were trying to fix the place up but bedding had holes in it, things were lying on floor instead of hanging on wall, a/c kept tripping the outlet, and the cleaning smell was overwhelming strong, giving me a headache. Also, the office was full of clutter and there was no breakfast area like what was pictured. I guess the price was too good to be true.

The first room ac did not work. Moved to different room and owner at front desk told housekeeping to clean the room she moved us to so housekeeping walked in on my daughter changing. The owner then let herself in because she didn’t believe housekeeping that she moved us to that room. Key wouldn’t work and owner said to come to the front office to he let in my room anytime we needed to get it. Housekeeping keyed my card correctly. Only positive at this facility. If it wasn’t for the fact that everything in that area was completely booked we would have changed hotels immediately. Also, the picture online is not a current photo. Place is run down. Would not recommend it to anyone.

BACK AWAY SLOWLY......

To say it was bad is a gross understatement. We walked into the 'Office' which was filthy and cluttered. The woman and man behind the counter were struggling with our registration and got into a verbal altercation creating a very awkward situation. She gave us the key to our room and said they would come get us when they were able to get the system working. We parked and went to our room. The key was not programmed for our door, and we were unable to access the room. The same woman came and opened our room with a master key and did not offer to replace our key. When we walked into the room, which was filthy to say the least, the first thing I noticed was a very visible hole in the comforter of the first bed. The shower curtain also had holes in it from age is my assumption, while the bath math was torn at every corner. There was trash in every corner and a sock lying outside our door. The neighboring rooms were clearly rented out to long term tenants. We made the decision to leave not even 30 minutes after arrival. The pictures provided in this booking had to have been taken at a different location. It is simply not humanly possible that no one else has noticed this. Horrified is the only word I can come up with.

I was very disappointed that there were no smoke detectors in the room, the heat didn’t work and a portable heater was provided. The room had a kitchenette but the was no silverware, pots or pans one little bowl and plate. No dish soap. Outside there broken pallets on the drive. The bedding and towels were in sad shape really need to be replaced as they were thin and stained. The carpet was sticky. I’m sad since it was supposedly recently remodeled. The room was on the back side of the premises with one other room on that side. I was hoping it was in the condition advertised as I am a frequent traveler to the area and the hotel we used stay was converted to apartments. Sadly I will never stay at Americas Best Value Inn Jonesville MI. On a positive note, it was very quiet and manager seemed nice.

Can no longer recommend this motel. Stayed there several years ago and it was an ok place. The motel has deteriorated since then. Floors were dirty, chairs were filthy and spotted. Bathroom was less than clean. Bed frame was made of metal and clunked with every movement. Was originally going to stay 2 nights but only stayed one because of the condition. Hotel refused to refund the 2nd night thy charged us for. Very dissatisfied with the condition of the property and the refusal of a refund. Do not recommend staying here.

This property was very dirty, there were at least 20 big flies in the room the floor carpet was very wet, it’s listed as a place that offers breakfast and they didn’t even have instant coffee in the room
The chairs in the room were very dirty there were spiderwebs on every corner, and there was no power.
I didn’t sleep all night I read I sat on the bed with a flashlight and a towel swinging over my son’s face while he slept to make sure a fly wouldn’t get in his ear, nose or mouth
So far it has been the worsted lodging experience I have ever had. I would like to get my money refunded.

I try not to leave bad reviews, but this one I have no choice. There was nothing good about his place. I had to have a hotel room at the last minute due to family emergency. Then when we asked to cancel second night. Owner told us they needed 3 days prior, I explained circumstance and he did not care.
I called Orbitz, they called him and he refused to do anything. Orbitz rep disconnected and I called back to get a very nice lady. She called owner back, to see if he would help us.
The owner SCREAMED at the 2nd Orbit rep, he was not refunding ANYTHING, only if he rented the room (not very likely). The Orbitz rep felt so bad that she called me back and offer a coupon for a small amount on our next stay at another hotel. She apologized a million times.
Used the bathroom in the office and there was nasty brown stuff smeared on the wall by the toilet paper holder and then sink wall was covered in dirt all over the back splash. This was a traumatic experience, since we were already dealing with our unexpected family emergency. The hotel was so bad, we forfeited our 2 night stay to go elsewhere, due to owner and condition of the office. If the office looks like this, I could not image what the inside of the hotel room looks like. He charged us the 2-night stay, which I would not have expected anything less from the owner after watching his behavior. Even if it is the only place available, drive to Hillsdale, Coldwater, or Jackson. HORRIBLE and made my already stressful

It's an older property but nice. The check in was normal. The room was clean, great bed, water worked. Good for night or two. I'd stay there again.

The owners were fighting in the lobby when I entered. It took them at least 5 min to notice I was there and then I felt like I was putting him out because he came back out with his golf clubs and had to stop and help me. No service was done on the room in five days. Not even asking if we needed fresh towels or how our stay was going. I asked them if I could check out a day early and was told no. The place is ran down and I killed bugs on a daily basis. The only good thing was there A/C worked in the room.

Almost electrocuted!!

Owner extremely cheap .problems! With electrical flickering lights dimming on and off.Air condition ing barely works. Very dirty . Says breakfast daily not once was there breakfast.

Nice for the money

The hotel has a very nice setting with pine trees and a nice place to relax in back. The price can't be beat. The people were nice and it was clean. The only downside is that I had to ask more than once to get fresh towels. I would stay again.
