The beds were small. The switches were confusing: laid over everywhere.
The shower is not user friendly and the TV doesn't work.

The twin beds are so inconvenient for the family after paying such high price for the room. We ordered an extra Mattress paying extra money. When the guy came with mattress and opened it , a cockroach popped out. We felt so disgusted, it ruined the whole experience for us. I would never stay with them again as my trust is broken. Apart from a promise to refund my money for extra mattress, the manager did nothing to make me feel that I should come back. Other working Staff is polite and courteous.

Worst Hotel Experience in 30+ Years

Disastrous Laundry Service

I sent two blouses and a dress for dry cleaning, but they were stuffed into a laundry bag, crumpled, and improperly washed instead.
•One blouse shrank, making it unwearable.
•The dress had iron marks and smelled bad.
•Garments were creased and mishandled.

When I raised the issue, staff repeatedly insisted they only dry clean jackets and pants, despite listing dry cleaning for other garments. Instead of informing me, they damaged my clothes.

The manager, Babita Butola, offered no resolution, only waiving the laundry fee—no compensation for ruined garments. Worse, when I was unavailable, the hotel contacted my customer to reach me, an appalling breach of professionalism.

At check-out, they still tried to charge me for laundry, causing further delays.

Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs

he lack of accountability, poor service, and refusal to take responsibility make this hotel an absolute NO for both business and leisure travelers.

If you are considering staying here—DON’T.

I will not call it a 5 star hotel…..

The hotel is in a good location but restaurant is bad. People stand at the buffet to eat, do not take new plates every time, use their hands to pickup the food, I travel a lot . So far I traveled to 40 plus countries but not seen such un-hygienic buffet anywhere. After seeing that I didn’t eat at the buffet.
We ordered some expensive drinks at the bar and were served RAW peanuts at the bar. Not roasted, not salted but RAW. The last day we settled our account and as we were getting in to the car to the airport the receipt came running and started saying we Jane not paid for the late check out. We had paid for the late checkout and all the taxes etc… I pulled my account statement and showed it to her, her response was oh ok. No apology what so ever. It was very embarrassing in front of other guest standing there.
I will think twice before booking my stay at this hotel again….

During a recent stay at the Grand Mercure Bengaluru, I found the hotel itself to be quite satisfactory. The accommodations were modern, clean, and comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The housekeeping staff deserve commendation for maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness.

The service throughout the hotel was commendable. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, readily addressing any requests. Room service was prompt and the food was enjoyable. The lunch buffet at the restaurant was a highlight, offering a satisfying variety of dishes.

While the hotel is attached to Gopalan Mall, I found the mall itself to be rather underwhelming. The selection of shops was limited and the overall size was smaller than expected. This wasn't a major issue, but it's worth noting for those who might be expecting a larger shopping experience.

However, a significant error on my final invoice detracted from the overall experience. An extra zero had been mistakenly added to the total, resulting in a grossly inflated amount. While the issue was rectified, it caused unnecessary inconvenience and raised concerns about the hotel's billing procedures.

Despite this unfortunate incident and the somewhat disappointing mall, I would still recommend the Grand Mercure Bengaluru for the quality of the hotel itself. The comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and the enjoyable lunch buffet make it a desirable choice. However, guests are advised to carefully review their invoices.

We really liked the location of this hotel - we stayed for 2 nights before flying internationally. With a pool & location next to the shopping centre, we found there was more to do than some of the hotels closer to the airport. The drive & transport cost were fine. Hotel was very clean, staff very accomodating and we highly recommend including breakfast in your stay, it was very good with Indian breakfast options & plenty for international travellers also.

The property is exactly as in the pictures online. The reception is grand and very large and feels like walking into a palace. The security at the lobby is very reassuring. The staff speak English which is good and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good for an Indian appetite. The managers and front desk work hard to deal with any issues quickly and promptly. I would recommend staying her just to experience some luxury in Bangalore. Suraj and Anita were extremely helpful.

The property and hotel is grand and beautiful . It is the servics and what I went through is not acceptable.

I check in very late , 11:45 pm. Since only in-room dining available, I ordered an Indian scramble egg with toatsted bread and butter. 25 minutes later, I get the order to my room only to find out that the bread and butter are missing. I asked them and it took another 25 minutes and 3 calls to get it to my room. So cold dinner 50 min later.

My second day stay was a disaster. No water in my room (March 14, 2023). I called guest services and they said it was being faced by all rooms. I could not freshen up and neither shower to go to work. No apologies, no remedies or anythig from the hotel, at least during my checkout.

ON check out I requested them for a cab to the airport. They quoted me Indian Rupees 5000.00. I declined, and took UBER for INR 773.00 to the airport.

Overall, terrible service, not courteous at all. I would not recommend nor ever visit this hotel.

Property was good we stayed for a week. Not much to do around the hotel unless you like malls which is located next door, not much restaurants nearby, rooms were clean and big. My partner keep on getting sinus issues which we realized on the last day was mouldy ac unit and complained on checking out the next morning. Breakfast was ok bit of local anc western mixed, room 625 was located near the gym and had constant noises until late night we were promised a change of rooms but never happened. Would I stay again sure but prefer something closer to the main area.

Easy check in and out, spa was above average as was brekkie and dinner. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Beds were supportive and the hotel was quiet. Front desk staff were always more than accommodating to address my many requests such as arranging for airport taxis, daily cabs for hire for multiple rooms booked etc... Overall, my thoughts are if in Bangalore this would be a great hotel to stay at.

Though the hotel property is excellent but service is not at par a 5 star hotel. House keeping is poor. Staffs need to be trained. Breakfast spread is good but for longer stay it’s very monotonous. Same stuff every morning. Rooms are very spacious but Maintenence is highly required. Stains on the bathroom floor. You will get things only if you persist.
The best part of the hotel is it’s location adjacent to the Gopalan mall
