The infrastructure is old, but what it lacks in infra Sterling Mac makes it up in amenities, service, food quality and location.
The amenities in the room were top notch, the service - from the front desk to the restaurant - was amazing. Shout out to Mr. Murali in the restaurant for being an amazing host during our meals. The food quality is great and the location even better.

Definitely recommend Sterling Mac to visitors to Bangalore

I was visiting Bangalore to see a friend, stopped 2 nights. Rooms clean and comfortable. As a solo traveller the meal portion sizes are to big for one person. To me this hotel appeared to more for business people, not that this was an issue for me but might not suit someone wishing to visit The city as a tourist.

Inside the room. The lighting arrangement is very poor.
The heating system in the room never worked or was not switched on when the Weather outside was 16. To 22 deg
The many type of showering faucets is great. But the water itself was not sufficiently hot to enjoy the shower
There was no proper place for the toilette items to place in the bath room . Though sufficient amount of body wash. Shampoo shaving kit was provided in a well packed manner but it was harped up on the sink
Inside the shower the small hole for the soap and other items couldn’t be placed as it was not level and all items kept on them couldn’t stay in place and it fell into the floor
The worst part is the proper drainage of the shower water couldn’t be achieved due to improper pitching if the floor Improper alignment of the shower door let the shower water leak through the glass panel and the gap between the glass door and the glass panel

We recently stayed at this hotel during our medical trip, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

It's a great location, just opposite Leela Palace. You'll be surprised to see the spacious interiors and the expansive rooms, which is nice. Breakfast is fantastic, and the staff are always very courteous and helpful. Had a great stay.

Cons are - no tub in the bathroom (though the shower is excellent), and the lobby feels a bit cramped, though there is enough space in the coffee shop to meet visitors. Also, no open space to walk around. Also, seems I got charged more at Expedia than what I'd have paid if I walked in, or booked through other websites.

Apart from that, I'd definitely stay here again.

I had booked this hotel for my parent’s stay due to my father’s planned knee replacement surgery. They stayed here pre and post surgery. The check-in process and hotel communication was smooth, early check-in and late checkout option was provided. All the front desk people were courteous and provided assistance whenever needed. Restaurants buffet breakfast was fantastic and lot to choose from. All services provided at hotel including room, laundry etc were top notch and I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to city, children booking for their parents. Overall fantastic experience for my parents. Thank you Sterling and its employees for making my parents stay smooth and memorable.

I have booked this property for my parents, my father had a knee replacement surgery at manipal hospital and this hotel was closest to the hospital, booked without any second thought. Service provided throughout the check-in and stay was top notch, all the people at the front desk and restaurants were courteous and helpful. My parents stayed here for 9 days, all the days they felt safe. Buffet breakfast option is fantastic and lot to choose from. I would recommend this hotel and would visit again. Thank you Sterling for my making my parents stay memorable.

Nice and clean, with friendly helpful staff who made it very easy for my first visit to India.
Breakfast and evening meal buffets are varied and mix of European and Indian (North & South) food, so suitable for all pallets.
Fresh drinking water in the room everyday. There are a few shops within 10 min walk to get big bottles of water or any essentials you need.
Good location for access to my company office in Domlur.

Excellent buffet style breakfast lunch and dinner. With vegetarian and non veg options. The restaurant crew is very professional. The check in and check out is fast and smooth.
The spa wasn't that great. The gym room had everything I needed for my daily workout.
I will definitely be back.

The hotel was dark and unkept and I would not recommend for a business traveller or single lady as the conditions are not at all good and i did not feel comfortable. The kitchen is in the middle of the hotel making everything smell like fried bread at 6am and the lobby area is very dark. This is not what you would expect of a 5 star hotel by any international standards. There is a reason why it is half the price of any other five star hotel in the area.

They seem to have two different buildings - one 3 or 4 star, another 5 star. My experience is only with 5-star. Don't know about other one. It is a big, clean, expensive hotel. So, service is not as personalized as smaller ones. I have stayed in hotels where managers remember you by name, but not this one. Breakfast service is slow, they don't even bother to acknowledge you. Other than that, breakfast itself is good, room is luxurious, location is not in red-hot area, but closer to Indiranagar. Hard to find. They have no name on the exterior of the building. Overall, it's a good hotel if you don't care about service. If you do, there are better hotels. WiFi didn't seem that fast.

Good Hotel - Awesome Breakfast

Very good experience. Very nearby my meeting place (BEML) so was convenient for me. This was my first time staying into this hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by the over experience. Though I did not spend much time into the hotel, whatever I could was worth its while. The best part, by far, was the morning breakfast. Haven't come across many hotels who can boast of such a wide array of options available on the breakfast table. Highly recommended.

Interesting hotel along a busy road.

Hotel.com misled me by saying the price charged includes all charges and taxes. So don't always trust Hotels.com.
I have stayed here 6 months earlier. The shower is collecting grime in the corners and breakfast service is appalling. It had a 4-5 star service, which has now dropped to 3 star.

Nice hotel, convinently placed, next to major hospital. Extremely crowded front road, difficult to walk around. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Bed too soft, nice bathroom. Has a pool but poor facility and only to beach chairs, very dirty. Sumptuous breakfast, too spicy for my taste, but lots of choices. You will find something to eat. Two restaurants, and buffet, you can never do justice, so much of variety of food is available. Arabic Resturant, nice ambience and good food. Lots of variety of kebabs. Good room service and excellent laundry service.

Great Business Hotel, not so much a holiday hotel

I had a pretty good time here. But its a hotel mainly for a business minded reason. And not exactly a holiday hotel. The ambience is like an ancient cave experience. Its dark but I guess thats the theme they wanted to go for.
The room I was in was apt for one person but would be crowded for 2. The bed was spectacular and the service was prompt and superb. The food was pretty average as I had only the breakfast there.

First trip to Bangalore

Location was next to the office so convenience was key. Staff was awesome and very helpful. We worked long days often not returning until late in the evening. They were very accommodating with feeding us all hours of the night. I've stayed at all inclusive resorts but their breakfast buffet is second to none. The only reason I did not give the hotel a 5 is the maintenance is a little lacking but that's not the fault of the staff who treat you like a VIP.

We had comfortable stay in the hotel. The restaurant staff were quite hospitable and food also was good. Only sore point was the executive room which is relatively very small. The room size is very small even for executive rooms standards for a 4 star /5 star hotel. Otherwise, we had good stay for one night on 7th June 2014
