The property was amazing the staff was very hospitable even at 11 PM at night when we arrived. It’s both access only when arriving or leaving. You’re greeted with a cocktail and oatmeal cookie from the owner. I highly recommend hashbrowns. They were also able to accommodate the other couple that came with us honeymoon surprise and short notice.

My second time at this hotel and my new home in Puerto Galera. Absolutely amazing. The waters and views stunning, the room magnificent and the staff works their collective butts of to make sure that you are not only happy, but thrilled. What else can I say? I am a hotel snob and I give Lalaguna my highest marks.

Hard to beat for a diver. Right on the beach, equipment right there and retail shop, friendliest dive instructors (Liam, Aiu, etal), good food, great housekeeping and Maintenance, great pool, walking distance to Sabang is not bad. The staff here is excellent from Receptionists, waitstaff, maint, house keeping etc... These people are Gems!

Beautiful place for a vacation.

Spent a long weekend away with the gf. The hotel is lovely. The whole area is mainly focused on diving so if this is your thing then it’s ideal. The surrounding coral and species of fish are amazing. The surrounding area is spectacular so go out and explore.

Best hotel in Sabang

Second stay at LLV and, again, even being critical couldn't find a fault. Top notch room and amenities with speedy and always polite service. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. The 109 steps up into room L88 are burning off some extra calories. Will be back!

Spacious, clean, comfortable accommodations at a reasonable rate. Only possible issue to some is that hot water for my shower was provided through solar heating and the water never really got warm in the mornings and evenings when I shower. The restaurant and bar were both great. The staff went out if their way to help with transportation to and from the resort. The LLV dive shop and divemasters and boatman made for fun, safe and memorable diving. I would come back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 weeks diving and by the end it felt like home. The restaurant was delicious! The management and staff are gracious and accomodations were very comfortable. Can't recommend Lalaguna more.

Food was amazing. The kitchen staff is on there game. All of the staff is excellent. Only negative comment is we were upgraded to the 8th floor and room was excellent but the stairs you have to climb to get there were rough.
But the service and great drinks made us forget about climbing the stairs. Definitely will be going back.

Simply put this is the finest place to stay in Sabang. The room was amazing. It has real hot water, not luke warm like most places, but piping hot water in the shower as well as a jacuzzi tub! The staff are amazing, helpful, and just generally fun to be around. I could not imagine staying anywhere else.

All the staff at the resort including the dive shop were super helpful, cheerful, friendly and efficient.

We really enjoyed the food here. Looked forward to the daily specials on the menu. ALL so GOOD!

Access to the resort is by boat or walking. There was some construction underway on the walkway and near the walkway around the Sabang Beachfront. It will be nice when all completed. The resort will pick you up and drop you off at Sabang Pier if desired. Be careful on the dock ramps to and from the boat.

Good value, good food and great diving!

I had a very relaxing stay at this property. All the staff was very accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I had never scuba dived before so I took the Open Water course. I had an excellent instructor with Jessica and quickly progressed to my certification. The dives along the bay were wonderful and the dive shop provided excellent gear and service. I will be coming back next time I have time in the Philippines!

Fantastic hotel and dive resort

Hotel is a perfect getaway for a dive vacation and relaxing. Diving is the main focus and the dive team and facilities are superb, catering for what the diver wants. With over 30 dive sites within 5 to 10 minutes by the dedicated speed boats, diving options are plentiful.

The hotel itself is very relaxing with large and very comfortable rooms and balconies. Facilities cater for families with plenty to keep you entertained. The pool restaurant offers a large choice 24 hours a day. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommend this place and we will be back.

Quiet place but prepare to walk

We arrived with a car lat in the evening and realized you can't drive anywhere near the hotel. Luckily there was a local on the parking slot which showed us the way to the resort. You will walk and carry all you luggage 1st through the narrow streets in between prostitutes, and definitely there is no straight road, you will propably not find it without locals. Then you continue walking on the sideroad beside the sea, really far away from everything. Yes, it is more quiet there, but way too hard to access the place. The moment we arrived I wanted to cancel the rest of the days, but seems it didn't work out. They advertise to be 4,5 star resort, the reality is 3-3,5 in my opinion. Once you arrive you then have to drag your bag up the stairs where the rooms are...nice. Toilet flush didn't work so call to be fixed, othewise no restroom use. The shower room glass cover really doesn't move unless you force it with two hands, which then makes it jump from the rail. Come on...4,5 stars...really?
If they only made it more straight and easier road to walk from the main Sabang, this would make a difference. Luckily they provide some boat transportation for free to access the Sabang.
If you look for a place on the side and more quiet area and you don't mind the walk, then this is good for you.

Our room is nice and not cramp. The sofa needs cleaning. There were ants, flies and mosquitos inside the room. The receptionist were nice though. The waitress were not very attentive and gave us a wrong set of food. And from the brgy center to the hotel it was a long walk. But we enjoyed our stay.

Didn't quite meet our expectations

I had high expectations with la Laguna villas but it didn't really meet my expectations totally. It was one of the more expensive places to stay in Puerto galera and from the pictures we decided to go for it but I am not sure it's totally worth the money. the service was mixed with some staff very friendly and some downright miserable. There were a couple of problems with the room including the shower door falling off and the curtain which would not close and kept coming off the rail. Prices at La Laguna Villas are quite expensive for food and also any trips that they can organise in the speedboat. Consequently we only ate once in the hotel as there are many cheaper places to eat within 10 minutes walking distance. The location is good as it is about 5 to 10 minutes away from sabang beach so it is a little quieter. The speedboat pickup from wherever you land is nice but then it does cost 1000 pesos each way. All in all staying at La Laguna Villas was ok but I don't think I would stay there again.

I enjoyed the new upgraded room with the jacuzzi but the water in the jacuzzi and shower had a bad smell which seemed to last 5 minutes each time then went away, my first night was in the standard room but had too many insects as the country was very hot, staff were very friendly and upgraded room was beautiful with an amazing view

Once I upgraded room from the basic room it was good. The cheap rooms are located to resort next door which has outdoor bar which was rather noisy. Upgraded room was not near their neighboring hotel and had nice balcony with beautiful views of the bay.

Good experience on La Laguna beach

Located on a nicer stretch of the beach, but still very close to the dive shops. Very good pool, and good deals on happy hour. Room was thoughtfully laid out, with lots of power and USB and nice touches such as a decent sound system.

Had a great time there with friends the wifi service was very disappointing having to renew password sometime twice daily just to get online the staff was excellent though, and quite helpfull. Oh no elavator, for those with mobility issues request lower floor.

Have stayed at several tiger end resorts at PG. This one is close enough to the center of activity and Asia Diver location that will welcome me back. I would stay again. A bit more pricy than most but quieter, cleaner and and when everyone else was losing power on the frequent island brownouts I was comfy in my aircon room.

This Hotel and one other were the only ones open the other hotels had been closed due to environmental issues . The beach area has open sewer pipes running down the sand at low tide . This is my 6 th visit to the Philippines over the last 8 years and the lack of infrastructure to support there growing population and tourism is worrying. But this hotel is off a high standard and is doing it’s best in a difficult environment

just had an unbelievable 3 week stay at Lalaguna villas. 1st of all, the rooms are 5 star and super modern, probably the nicest rooms on small or big laguna beaches. Amenities like curved Samsung tv's, modern bathrooms, lighting, and a 5 gallon water dispenser (i went through 2 and a half of those while i was there). The restaurant, just let me say you never have to leave the resort to eat The prices are good.. The food is amazing and the restaurant never closes. I found myself there at 1 AM a couple of times enjoying breakfast or an awesome pizza. There are specials every day and was never disappointed. True culinary artists! Stop by for one of Donald's \"infamous\" gin and juices during happy hour!
I went to get my dive master certification. All the dive equipment is brand new and they are in the process of building a new dive shop. It will be the nicest in the area when complete. Don't worry, the construction doesn't interrupt a relaxing stay. Ja and Conan are instructors at the shop and are now my good friends. Conan runs the shop and is probably the most knowledgeable instructor in the area and mixed with his Irish wit and friendliness, you are in for an unbelievable time. He knows all the dive sites like the back of his hand so you will get the most out of every dive while you're there.
I'm already planning my next trip back to Lalaguna villas, it can't come soon enough. I miss the entire staff's smiles and incredible friendliness. It felt like home, truly.

Beautiful Island Experience

La Laguna was a gorgeous venue. Well deserving of a 4-5 star rating.
One issue was with room configuration where they put my 2 young children (6 and 8) in a room two floors away from me... an issue that was resolved by switching rooms with our friends. My friends were given complimentary brekkies in compensation.

Staff could not be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Anything was gettable... for a fee. The 111 steps to my room was a formidable issue, but the view compensated for this!
It was so very nice to have quality toilet paper and unlimited filtered water in our room. A touch of luxury that some underestimate!
I also got a cake and balloons for a birthday that we celebrated a well! (560php was a reasonable fee to make my daughter feel special!)

A walk on the wild side

Great hotel in an interesting resort. Our arrival was both a challenge and a pleasure. Heavy rain and a high tide meant the walk in from the quay would have been impossible without the porters meeting us. However it was a good welcome and a very pleasant surprise when we got to our room. It accommodates the five of us plus driver well. Worth the bad parking and no elevator will go agai

Parking limited to a mud hole. No elevator so could be an issue for some. When you enter your room its all worth it. Bring cash dont use a credit card there for anything as they charge 4%. Food was great and good price. Tip the staff sadly they get paid provisional rate there which is strange because nothing provisional about their charges. Beautiful though.

On the beach with transfers

The hotel has the most reliable power and internet on the island! It was very known as power went out all around us a lot. Everyone there made life very easy for us with 2 kids. The pool was really fun!
