If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay at Puerto Galera with accommodating and friendly staff, Badladz is the place to be! They have the amenities to make you feel at home and feel rejuvenated -- board games, pool, beach, food (tastes amazing and their menu has a variety of options), friendly and accommodating staff (shout out to Ate Ella, Ate Jonalyn, Ate Rina), and relaxing spa services by Ate Harmony, Ate Lei, and Ate Joan. Facilities were also well maintained, from restrooms, hallways, to the rooms. We definitely recommend this place!

This is a place that it’s away from the crowds like White Beach…this place has a more peaceful & relaxed atmosphere, we enjoyed so much watching the sunrise everyday of our stay there…the staff is so welcoming, made us feel at home, we would be coming back here to this resort for sure.

Great resort, wonderful staff, extremely accommodating and very clean. The food is amazing also quite beach access. The dive shop is top notch. You won’t get hassled by people like in sabang. I will only stay at badladz from now on when visiting puerto galera. Oh and the beer is ice cold!

What a beautiful location. Right on the beach. Lots of chairs outside to just sit and take in the view of the mountains and islands out further in the water.
The restaurant food is delicious. Lots of variety. Very reasonably priced.
The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of them. They're always ready to serve.
The pool is wonderful and clean.
A walk on the long beach will make you forget any worries.
They keep the property clean and well maintained. I felt so happy and relaxed there! The owner and his wife are wonderful people. I felt more like I was visiting them at their home, than staying at a resort. I would have loved to stay there for a couple of weeks.

Nice but budget property. Some of the rooms don’t have windows, so just read clearly. The bedsheets need to be replaced. They are pulling badly and makes for uncomfortable sleep. Replace the sheets and bed covers, and would be a lot better. Staff is very nice and food decent. Nice views. Good dive shop on site, but boat leaves offsite. It’s convenient though. It is a clean resort, just the bedsheets and overall paint decor needs updating.

Badlaz has up market rooms and air conditioned small rooms. If wife is with me we get up market if as now I get small/inexpensive room. Swimming pool is very good, diving is excellent. Staff and owners are great. 24 hour bar 40 mtrs from sandy beach. Always stay here

What a fantastic hotel situated right on the beach away from busy Sabang. This place is the pick if you want to relax and chill out by the pool or lay in a hammock surrounded by palm trees right on the beach front. Can’t recommend this enough.

The Badladz is a great location if one does not want to be in the hustle and bustle of the tourist area but still be able to enjoy everything the tourist location offers.

The \"free breakfast\" could use a bit of upgrading. It was rather limiting.

Randy, the dive master was very good although not every dive met the standards I would expect from a highly recommanded diving location.

The staff was excellent in all other areas. I only ate one meal, other than breakfast, at the restaurant and it was excellent.

Honest Review: The WORST and the good

The worst:
My original booking is for 5D/4N but due to unforeseen circumstances, my international flight changed from late evening to early morning on my last day at BadLadz and my son and I need to be back to Manila earlier than expected. I emailed the propriety and Hotels.com right away before I checked in to explain my situation and asked if I can checked out early and request a refund for the last day. The property denied my request and hotels.com was of no help as well.
IF YOU are going to stay here, please be aware that the property has a very RIGID cancellation policy. They will NOT look individually of the reason why you are changing your reservation. They will not do it.I have stayed in many properties in different countries and this is the first one I encountered such inflexibility. Just to remind you again, I did not cancel my reservation, all I asked is to refund the last day due to the changes in my flight. and had to check out early.
If you are planning to book this property, be aware of their very rigid cancellation policy. They will NOT accommodate whatever hardship you may have and they will not give you any refund.

The good:
All the staff are very nice, they are very helpful and friendly. I gave them a generous tip at the end of our stay.
The food they prepared at the restaurant is really delicious.

We chose Badladz because of its beachfront location and a short distance to white beach. We wanted a quiet location away from the crowds and yet just a tricycle ride to everything. The beach setting is absolutely beautiful and the colorful pebble beach is stunning, not something I’ve seen anywhere before. I’ve traveled extensively and this is my sixteenth trip to the Philippines and our first to Puerto Galera. The Badladz hotel restaurant is extremely good with a wide variety of menu choices from Italian, Mexican, burgers, desserts and the best Filipino cooking I’ve had in the Philippines. The dishes are quality prepared with home style cooking and very generous portions. The fresh made juices are excellent as is the halo halo. We stayed ten days and ate at white beach twice and the food was just average so we decided that all our meals were going to be eaten at Badladz and the prices are reasonable. The staff is extremely helpful with any assistance you may need including tours, moped rental or a trip to the doctor for a strained back muscle. Excellent service and 5 star treatment!

Highly Recommended, Excellent Service!!!!

We arrived earlier than usual check-in time and the management is kind enough to allow early check-in. The owner is very hands-on, you can feel the warmth and sincerity. The whole team are all service oriented.
On Day 2 we did our own itinerary and was out from early morning until late afternoon. Around 5PM, the resort texted us checking if we are OK. We were really touched by such gesture, our 1st time to encounter a resort being concern with their guests.
The area is highly recommended for those people who wants peace and serenity while on vacay. You can literally enjoy the beach with very few people around.
We will definitely go back whenever will be in Puerto Galera. Thank you Badladz Beach & Dive Resort for such a wonderful experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Badladz. It was a get away weekend from Calapan City. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was some of the best I've had in Mindoro. The Mexican food was especially delicious.

Not as I expected based on our stay.

There is no wifi in the room and other facilities. You have to go down to the lobby but still the internet connection (wifi and mobile data) is really bad. It's quite far from the White Beach, will take 15mins tricycle. The staff are not so friendly with locals, this might be good for foreigners only I guess.

I would recommend trying the home made margarita ! very cozy room and I received the best massage in my life at the health spa . would really love to return someday.

This hotel is superb!!! Situated on a sparsely populated beach, it is perfect for a somewhat quiet family getaway. The staff was attentive from day one and take care of the guests in an awesome fashion. The owners stop by each day and interact with the guests one on,one to ensure your needs are met. Thanks to Sean and his wife, as well as their wonderful staff for making our five day stay the best. The kids love it. Swimming in the ocean or the pool, they had a blast!

Staff is wonderful, I booked the wrong night and they fixed it for me no problem, it is on the beach, not the best sand but they tell you that, clean of all trash and debris, the swimming is good in the ocean, great swimming pool, nice tanning lounges and hammocks to lie in, they keep the grounds very clean, constantly cleaning up after the guests, food is great, easy to rent a scooter or book a tour, the staff will help you with all of these things, I enjoyed my stay there very much and would stay again. It's out of the way, so if you want White Beach or Sabang do not book here. If you want quiet enjoyment then this is the place. One drawback, the key powers the electric in the rooms and if you take your key the electric shuts off and the aircon goes off but also you cannot charge any devices at that time either.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is very professional and friendly, constantly working to keep the place in great shape. All of the fixtures and linens are new. Lovely ‘removed-a-ways’ setting on the bay: nice beach with gentle waves and a nice pool and gardens. I have to give top marks to the restaurant; all the dishes I tried were absolutely delicious! I would recommend eating here even if you aren’t staying as the food was far better than any other restaurant I tried in the area! The only inconvenience for me was that the wifi only works in the restaurant and poolside - it would be a great improvement in my opinion if it were available in the rooms, or at least on the balconies. Recommended!

Stayed here for 2nights. The place is neat and somehow relaxing.
The room is \"ok\" for the price of Php 1, 600/night.
We were a bit disappointed with its beach as it was not clean. It has a pool which compensates condition of the beach. Food is considerably pricey and salty (I have hypertension).
We tried going to White Beach but we ended up spending more because of the tricycle ride costs Php 150 ~ 200 one-way.

Overall... it not that bad at all. I heard that the place is good for scuba diving.

A quite hotel that has everything.

First thing that my wife and I noticed is upon entering the resort we were greeted with smile from the staff a very big plus when we traveled a long way. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel, pool, beach and the lounge area. The sea breeze was great if you just want to lounge around. The beach is few steps away. The food was great.

A hard to beat location

Yes we enjoyed our stay at Badladz very much. The location on the beach is second to none and in a nice quiet area away from busy White beach which may or may not suit you. It's just a 5 minute tricycle ride from the ferry. The restaurant there has very good food at a reasonable price and the staff are delightful young women. Popular for weekend escapes for Manila locals you might find during the week the quietest time.
While the rooms are small sitting on the balcony with the view makes that not an issue for me. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

What a delight! I stayed at Badladz Beach Resort for 6 nights in Feb......all I wanted to do was have a very relaxing, quiet and be LAZY on my vacation and Badladz did NOT disappoint :)
Upon arriving check-In was easy and fast. Within minutes I was relaxing on a lawn-bed chair looking up at blue skies and listening to the sounds of the ocean........so relaxing:)

The room was straight forward, very clean, comfortable and functional. Everything in the room worked as it should. Every night I slept very well to the soft sound of waves( I really love the sound of waves:))

The food served at Badladz is so yummy and fresh! The portions are on the large size so you may have to share :) The cook She is a true Gem ........ it amazes me she can cook so many meals at any time of the day and the quality is consistent . Even their deserts were so good.......I had 3 or 4 Mango Ice Cream splits when I was there lol.......I will for sure gain a few pounds haha :)........try the Mexican food and you will be delighted as I was:)

I felt secure, safe and always so welcomed by the staff. The great staff really make Badladz special . I was always chatting, joking and enjoying my time with the staff who I will never forget.......even when I left the staff hug me and I felt so touched by this and sad I was leaving .

The owner Sean and Mylen are great people and very sweet. The staff have hearts of gold.
I will miss you guys:)

I truly recommend staying at this loving, kind, honest resort :)
