Beautiful beachfront hotel

Lovely beachfront hotel beautiful sea view balcony and lovely bath tub in room modern furnishings beautiful views from windows in room only downside very loud music from bar next door until 1am but still not a big problem for young couples like us maybe older couples or families with young children could be a problem lovely breakfast selection in morning perfect stay

Not finished hotel

The staff are brilliant.. the location is really good.
Now the disappointments
The hotel itself is not finished, everywhere you look, the reception area..primed floors but no tiles also up the stair, the swimming pool is tini and not finished no tiles on the top and one even broken you could easy cut yourself..
My room.. the bath wasnt fixed in properly and no tiles around it so when you shower it all spilled over to the floor... no tiles on wall just one coat of paint..
the few rooms that lead to the pool were empty.. we asked to be moved to them and they wanted another £100 for 3 days ?? given our room was so bad I think they should have moved us..the breakfast is so basic and really only for the chinese.
I feel sorry for the staff as they do all they can but this hotel looks as if they ran out of money to finish it .
the resort itself is lovely...

Nice hotel with good location just cross the road to the beach.
Recommend for outgoing traveler bcoz the bar is next to the hotel, but it might be noisy for the family with children.

Nice location but............

Well, mixed feelings about writing this review. I was looking forward to staying near the beach with a nice sea breeze and a great view. I must say that I achieved all of the above. The Hotel is situated in a prime position which was one of the reasons I chose it. Check in went very smoothly although there was no bell boy to help with luggage. As I said great view when I got in the room. The negatives are 90% of the staff cannot speak English and Reception staff can speak a little. Breakfast is a set menu and the same everyday. I decided to go down for lunch one day only to find they didn’t serve lunch. I asked for a glass of ice and they didn’t have any ice. I know they are petty things but the biggest no no came as I checked out. I was drinking coffee in my bed that morning and I spilt a very small quantity on the bed sheet. I was told I would have to pay 600 Thai Baht, about £15 to have the sheet cleaned. I am very well travelled and have stayed in hundreds of Hotels, but I have never been asked to pay for a stain on a bedsheet. They actually have list of other payment charges. I kicked up such a fuss that it was waived. Overall, a nice location but the Staff need to look more enthusiastic and be more attentive instead of playing with their phones.

Close to the beach

Location is super near to the beach. However do not expect the beach to be amazing, is just a normal beach. More towards local Thai go there to hang out, little kids playing on the beach and swim. Adults enjoying their foods and drinks.

A couple of experiences:
1. Reach hotel at noon, supposed my family and I able to check in but due to a guest late checkout I had to wait for an hour plus.
2. The swimming pool wasn't clean u can find mosquitoes, leaves or other small foreign objects in the pool floating. Lucky enough the following day was cleaned.
3. Staff do not speak good English.
4. Not many attractions in bang saen.

Some attractions I went were the maritime aquarium (took a motorbike ride @100baht, trip less than 10 mins). After Maritime aquarium I went to a shopping mall (Laem Thong Mall), 10 mins walk.

If u plan to go bang Saen walking street, take note it opens only Friday and Saturday after 6pm.

The room is great very comfortable and clean, services and food were excellent.

For a short trip less than 2 days/ weekend getaway is recommended

A good choice!

The area which the hotel is located is a good spot to stop-over between Bangkok and Pattaya!
Quick check-in, room facing the beach, complimentary WI-FI, free breakfast, free parking, what more can you ask for!
There are a few restaurants and cafes if you walk along the beach, it’s a beautiful place to chill!

Nice clean hotel in a good location

We liked Kalm Bangsaen very much and plan to go back soon. Friendly and helpful staff, most unusual in Thailand.
The only small concen is that the hotel is a little bit away from the more attractive part of the beach where tge market stalls and street food places are. Not really a problem as only about a 600 metre walk away.

Great view and most valuable.

We were very enjoy the time at Kalm and will return again soon as soon posssible. Only one thing want to suggest is the service staff on breakfast need to train more how to service the guest. The menu should be rotation.

Overall very good

I got a very nice room with sea view. I didn't have breakfast, so can't comment about that. I did order foods from Room Service though; that taste was excellent.

All of the staff were great. One concern was the parking lot which a bit too small.

This is the perfect small hotel in the middle of everything. It was my second stay and loved it. Make sure you ask the hotel staff how the A/C works because I could not figure out why it was always going to 21 C by default and had to turn it off a few times.

Nice clean and modern hotel right on the beach

The hotel itself is fantastic, right on the beach front along Bang Saen Resort. There are many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and plenty of options for travel into Chonburi and Pattaya, although I chose a rental car.

The rooms are finished with a modern look, nice shower bath tub, bed is very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy.

My only concerns were lack of English speaking staff on site and I found it very difficult to communicate at times. I ordered food from the menu but only got half of it as they did not understand what I was asking for, even though I was pointing to it on the menu. The food is not great and I felt guilty not using their own Bistro as often as I would have liked. Breakfast was part of the price but the options were limited.

The open plan nature of the dining area was also a concern, as you were constantly attacked by Mosquitoes, plus being right on the sea it was constantly windy, it would have been better for this to be covered and air conditioned, it would make for a better dining experience.

Every day the Bistro was empty and I cannot help but think this was because of a lack of choice, more competition from other restaurants nearby and the open plan nature of the building.

I think they are losing trade because of the lack of food options on their menu, both traditional Thai and Chinese dishes, but also western dishes and they need better communication from staff.

Huoneet ok, mutta yleisissä tiloissa olisi parantamisen varaa.
Todellinen ongelma ovat linnut, jotka pesivät parvekkeiden kattojen yllä ja alla. Ulostetta oli jokapuolella.
Mellä oli alkuun huone uima-altaalle, mutta täällä ei voinut olla parvekkeella lainkaan lintujen takia. Respa ystävällisesti vaihtoi huoneen rannanpuolelle, jossa ongelma oli selkeästi pienempi.
Aamupala ihan ok, vaikkakin suppea.
Musiikki soi viereisessä ravintolassa kovaa, mutta ei häirinnyt meitä.

Bra läge och sköna sängar. Trevlig personal som dock har bristande engelskakunskaper.

Fåglar och fågelskit i poolen som gjorde att jag avstod från att bada under vistelsen. Hade i efterhand valt de billigare rummet som har bättre utsikt då havsutsikten är näst intill obefintlig för rummen i anslutning till pool. Tråkiga frukostalternativ och ingen buffé.

Das einzige was uns gestört hat war der Lärm nachts.
Im Badezimmer lagen die Ohropax für die Gäste bereit, das sagt schon alles. Um ein Taxi oder ein TukTuk zu kriegen musste man schon einige Schritte gehen. Kein Frühstücksbüffet sondern per Karte.
