The room was clean but the hotel was very dated. Many of the rooms were not operational and the back door was not locked after dark for safety. Breakfast was one biscuit, a fourth of a pitcher of apple juice and dry cereal but no milk. The coffee was stale and burnt tasting. The staff was very friendly and very nice.

It was clear that something was off when the soap and shampoo dispensers in the3 bathroom were empty and the towels had been washed and re-used well past their useful life.

The property is in a blighted area with a number of abandoned businesses, and from the outside this ABVI also looked abandoned.

The worst was the breakfast. They told us it was from 6 to 9. When we got there at 6 no one was there. There was a thermos of coffee from the night before or maybe the night before that. There was cereal but no milk or bowls. A toaster, but no bread of any kind.

We did not see any other guests and we may be the last before the owners close the doors for good.

Expedia should not book rooms here for its customers

Was pet friendly but charged more per pet than advertised, cash only.
Linens might have been clean but were so stained and dingy, it was had to tell - replace or use some bleach every so often.
Continental breakfast advertised was cereal/milk, coffee, oj and one pack of blueberry muffins - do a pack and go breakfast if you don’t want to serve food. Or don’t advertise you serve a continental breakfast.

I was put across the hall with someone who had a noisy dog. There were plenty of empty rooms in the hotel and I really needed a good night sleep. I could have easily been put in a room upstairs where the coming and going and barking of the dog would not have awakened and disturbed me.

- This is an old, worn property.
- Room 103 had been cleaned minimally, but there was still a child's sock and some trash on the floor, which hadn't been vacuumed.
- One of 4 sleepers experienced bedbug bites, which caused some problems over the next day.
- The air conditioner worked but was quite noisy.
- Some towels were crusty from previous use (makeup?). When additional towels were requested at 5am they were provided, though communication was difficult due to a language barrier.
- At 6:05 AM there was no sign of activity or breakfast preparation in the front office, so we left. Breakfast availability may have been scheduled for later, but I forgot to ask at check-in. I didn't see the breakfast time posted anywhere.
- Given all the above, this was way too expensive.

Good:
- Wi-fi was strong and fast.

The AC units had grills falling off the exterior of the building, found one in the landscaping

Fabric on the recliner was threadbare.

Smoke alarm in a nearby room was chirping due to a dead battery.

AC unit held together with Duct tape.

Bathroom vent fan made a horrible grinding noise.

Expedia should not promote substandard properties at any price. Ever.

We are very dissatisfied with this location. Our disatisfaction started with the condition of the room; lights didn't work (had to plug them in), loose toilet, no linens, soap and shampoo so clogged it wouldn't come out.

This became small in comparison when we started noticing bed bugs. We notified the front desk but received zero concern to the matter. Not only did we end up sleeping in our truck but we're out money for the laundry to wash as a precaution, nee pillow, blanket etc.

The waffle maker was covered with built up black pancake batter and had not been cleaned forever. There was dirt in the corners of the bathroom, debris behind the bedside tables, the toilet seat had been painted over many chips, the tv stopped working, the carpet was dirty, the sheets were stained. I paid $92 for a room worth $25. Drive to the next town.

This by far was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. I wasn’t expecting a five star resort but I was not prepared for what we saw. First the security bar was broke and when I requested another room I was told that the other room was the same way. Other room? There were only 4 cars in the parking lot! I was very uneasy but being we had no where else to stay we delt with it. Then we walk into the bathroom and there is black mold by the sink and in the corner by the tub. The shower curtain was absolutely DISCUSTUNG! Full of mold and mildew. I didn’t even want to shower! I thought that was as bad as it could get until the next morning I find a bed bug on the bed and one in the bathroom. I will be calling corporate and the health department to file a complaint.

The only thing I liked was the location. The room had a terrible bed, no blankets, smelled of smoke , even though advertised as non smoking. Shower had no pressure, shower curtain barely hanging on rod. Pillows on the bed very old and flat, smelled like smoke. No amount of febreeze helped. Trash behind desk where there weren’t enough plugs. Cords plugin to one outlet with some kind of extension cord. Glad it didn’t catch fire. Paid a going rate for an F rated room. Very disappointed. Some kind of powder all over bathroom wall, rusty faucets and no drain in tub. Disgusting. Sorry. Please do not stay here.

This place was disgusting and nearly deserted. The folks running the hotel look like children, because they are, the possible child labor situation going on there seems all to real. there was a little boy out front seemingly doing maintenance and the person that checked us in was not more than fifteen years old.

we checked in and got to our room and proceeded to read horrific reviews about bugs and a myriad of other problems with the hotel. we promptly checked out within 15 mins after we checked in. it felt extremely unsafe and that folks were more or less living out of the hotel. the most sad point i want to make is the kids running the joint, they are kids and are having to do the arduous task of running a dilapidated hotel in the middle of nowhere. im not sure what the child labor laws are around here but i would not be surprised if they are in violation. They were perfectly friendly and nice, but no kid should ever have to be in charge like that.

Decent family stay on a trip

Minimal Expectations for Price & Location

I wasn’t expecting much for our one night stay because of the low price. Bed was fine, room was clean, refrigerator worked well.

The TV many more channels then I needed, but the volume control on the remote would NOT work and I would have preferred it lower. Then when I was ready for bed, the power off on the remote control would NOT function. I tried multiple different ways to turn off the TV to no avail. I could not find any manual buttons, switches, knobs, etc on the TV itself as I searched all over the TV with my flashlight. I finally gave up and pulled the power plug out.

The tap water looked clear but it has a very high mineral content and we could not use it to bush our teeth; using the bottled water we had. My shower in the morning had plenty of hot water and good flow. The bottom of the shower curtain was stained from the hard water and it had additional black stains from what?, but really needs replacing.

Wallpaper in the bathroom was loose in a couple of places. The bathroom mirror was missing some of the reflecting layer around the edges. The toilet worked as it should but it was very low. When my knees are above my hips, it makes it much harder to get up (a problem for many older people).

The breakfast was just OK, except for the waffle batter was very thin resulting in the waffle sticking in the iron. My wife had a hard time getting it out of the waffle iron.

I've been staying at this hotel for around 25 yrs as it is located near my family. It was never a great hotel but in the past 2 years it's really gone downhill. The carpeting in the room was so disgusting with stains everywhere that I kept my shoes and socks on the whole time. The bed linens and towels are also very old and stained and the pillows are awful. Everything appears to be falling apart and the same since the very first time I stayed here 25 years ago. It doesn't look like anything has been cleaned or updated. There didn't appear to be more than maybe 3-4 other people staying there and the property is in serious need of a renovation. It looks like a family runs the place but the gentleman who normally runs the front desk was not around and I guess maybe his young children are managing the check in and check out. The girl had to be woken up to check us out. It was definitely not worth $70.75 a night. We won't be staying there again. I'd rather pay more and make the drive to the Peru area. It was sad and depressing.

We stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. Every morning, the breakfast was awful. The milk was spoiled and smelled foul. The cereal was extremely stale. The waffle mix was basically colored water. In the room, you have to rearrange things just to be able to plug in the microwave. The tubs are extra small and the rags and towels all had stains on them, I’m glad I bring my own. The bed was ok for comfort and I did notice a small stain on the blanket but not the sheets. The sheet did have a fist sized hole in it though. Overall, would not recommend unless it’s a last resort type situation. It is the cheapest in the area though.

We arrived 10 minutes after booking via Expedia. No one came to the door, no one answered the phone for me, my husband nor expedia. Then they denied my request for a refund saying I was a no show.

I was absolutely not a no show, I came about 10 min after booking and no one would come to the glass nor answer the phone. We used the phone they said to and it sent it directly to voicemail. We knocked on the door and on the lobby glass. We hollered, and called the hotel from our own phones all before reaching out to the help team at Expedia. Once I reached out them the Expedia rep attempted to call them and no one answered.

We had to travel another 30 min down the road and get a different, more expensive room later in our trip than we wanted because they refused to come to the door, answer their phone, or give us a room.

What ultimately happened was theft because they took our money but REFUSED to provide the service they said they would.

It is unacceptable for them to deny my refund and unacceptable that after seeing the conversation I had with Expedia's rep they would accept the hotels refusal to refund as a case closed and allow this to happen to your customer.

The entire situation is awful customer service.

We liked the location and had stayed there previously but we found it is no longer Super 8 and found it has deteriorated quite a bit. Plumbing to shower and drain very corroded as was the shower head. The trim was gone. Base in bath was not clean. Television did not work properly! Breakfast was quite skimpy with little selection. The gentleman who checked us in was courteous and helpful. Basic standard cold breakfast, mattress and pillows were comfortable. As soon as we walked into the foyer it smelt bad. Walls are stained, found plenty of hair on the sheets and grainy dust at the foot of the bed, under the covers! Had to ask for clean sheets. Had to hunt for utensils for breakfast, opened cabinet doors and drawers which were filthy. Will not stay here again.

Considering the price and the fact that we only needed a place to sleep, it was acceptable. The condition is what I expected for the price, which means it only meets my minimum standard of “clean enough”. If you are looking for more than that, this is not the place for you. Breakfast was very minimal -apples and Special K for a healthier option, waffles and Fruit Loops for the kids, very mediocre coffee, but it was OK. Property is very worn out and in need of updates, but clean bedding & bath. Room temp was controllable. Hot water was just barely warm enough, even with very few guests. But again, you get what you pay for, and I would still stay here again if I just needed a place to lay my head. Guy at front desk was super friendly & appears he does everything- a hard worker. He was there every day and night for all 3 nights we were there.

It's a low-cost motel, but our accommodations were as nice as places a step or so higher in cost, with a nice working desk as well as a table where you can eat (plus fridge and micro). Frustrating

The room had bugs on the carpeting and bathroom sink. Towels were very thin and had spots on them. Wash cloths felt like sandpaper. Breakfast milk was on verge of sour. $77.69 was expensive for what we got. Wish we had stopped in a rest area for a couple hours and saved the money as I didn't sleep well with knowing bugs were in the room.

Convenient location. Property is run down, breakfast was minimal. Wouldn’t stay there again.
