They do not accept Expedia. If you make a reservation with Expedia and pay for it, that's too bad, as they won't accept it and you'll have to pay again and then go back and deal with Expedia. \"Not our problem.\" I basically paid $10 more for the night than what I was quoted via Expedia. Was I scammed? How would I ever know.

No ice machine.

Rooms were clean but dated. The toilet seat was loose, and the TP holder had fallen off the wall. People were talking in the hallway late at night.

The non-smoking room that I had, smelled like smoke. There wasn't much toilet paper and there wasn't any soap but the man at the front desk was very kind and said that if anything was missing to please let him know and he would take care of it. The bed was comfortable and I got some good sleep.

Nice looking on the outside, smelled like a foot that hadn't been washed in a month and I'm a former submarine rider so i know. No coffee at the coffee pot or snacks in the vending machine. People had box fans in their windows because they had no control over their individual ac units and some were pumping out heat. Temp in our room was set for 64 but never got below 74 even at night. Staff wasn't there for our check-in and the guy who checked myself and another person was sitting outside while we were waiting at the desk then went right back outside after just taking my keycard and did not actively process me out. Had to call the next day to verify i was actually checked out but it took several hours because no one answered the phone, even took Expedia 2 days to get in touch with them to verify a partial refund for early check out which the hotel refused even though it was covered by their policy.

I know this was a budget hotel and you get what you pay for but there was hair on sink tops and in tub. Beds were poor with very poor pillows and sheets. This was the middle of December and the only thing on the beds were crappy sheets and thin coverlet. When I asked about extra blankets, the manager was accomodating, but all they had were what looked like twin sized mattress pads that looked like felt packing blankets. Will not stay there again. This hotel is not modern at all.

Very kind owner, willing to listen to feedback for improvements. really like the triangular shower tub and bathroom design, gives more elbow room, BUT the door needs to be changed. When bathroom door is swung in, it blocks access to over half of the tub. I suggest a folding closet door type , or a door that disappears into the wall. Also the refigerator had no control. It did freeze bottles in the freezer compartment , which is good. BUTI it froze other things on the shelves. Microwave needs an upgrade. one stairwell was too hot. Elevator was broken. Only given one set of towels, and they were not refreshed for my 2nd day. nice and quiet, felt safe. No breakfast, but did have coffee. reasonable price, and so easy to find by I-39

Staff made it extremely hard to get it and weren't the easiest to explain our situation to. Expedia was trying to clarify and verify our reservations with them but **coincidentally** front staff would walk away from the phone and only coming back when it stopped ringing.... Thankfully, we were able to have Expedia representative on our phone who was willing to put their foot down about our reservations and got us in. So beware of that if you're using Expedia.. may run into hiccups.. Hopefully they discontinue service with each other because it was a difficult hassle especially while we were so tired from long rides and wanted to simply lay down. It was only for one night.. Eventually got in though. Beautiful view, alot of dead bugs but thankfully yes, dead lol. AND that was to be expected because it's very close to water. but probably won't be back due to the situation being so difficult to navigate through.. Overall very basic and simple room. No AC, they had a fan in the room for you to use, but it was a very powerful fan!!! Made the room cold at night lol,
I'm sure if you're booking through OYO it'll be no problem at all though with the check in process! Cool for a short stay!

Out of order elevator, used/opened toiletries (soap) and questionably clean (possibly used?) towels. Hole in corner of mattress (possible drug hiding spot???)

Keep driving! The entrance is unattended at any hour, you must dial staff (living on premise of course). There is a roll up door over the host stand like the dang bus terminal and you can see why. Rooms are filthy and unkept, maintenance is minimal if done at all. Housekeeping is NOT CHANGING LINENS. I found a bloody dried cotton ball in the sheets of the bed that had also stained the sheets, don't know how long ago it got there but someone just pulled up the sheets. The floor was also filthy, I had the maintenance man sweep up a handful of filth. I got another room only to find that the toilet looked like someone peed in in and never flushed and feces covered the whole bowl. Staff said it looked like a bunch of chewing tobacco, likely was but pure filth that housekeeping didn't even care t clean. Got a 3rd room the manager cleaned herself and it was ok. To be fair, she was asled to relocate here and run the place with no budget, no control and no support. She is trying but without support it won't happen here. Move on if you value your heath or marriage.

The hotel was very clean. The hotel was experiencing problems with their HVAC but our room's air conditioning worked great. Room was very comfortable. The room felt up to date and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised given the problems with the HVAC and the number of people staying at the hotel for events in the area. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.

No hot water in the shower but hot water in the sink??
This motel 6 is a bit dated. The secure window for night checkins and roll-top desk cover over the registration desk area gives the appearance that security is an issue. Room was clean and bed soft but ok. Low noise even though near the highway and truck stop. Lumpy pillows need replacing. Alternatives: There is another Motel 6 in Bloomington IL which is where I will now go instead. The one in Urbana IL is new and very nice. Drury Inn IL in Urbana is also nice.

Do Not Recommend; Worst Stay I've Ever Had

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Upon arrival to my room, the door was open and I was not sure if someone had been in there. Peaked around all corners to make sure the coast was clear. Sheets were dirty, pillows looked like they had just been used, and towels were folded loosely and stained. Did not have a blanket... just top sheet and bed dress along with a cut piece of scratchy wool (not even a blanket). Left after an hour and continued my drive. Do not recommend for anyone!

Horrible. Upon trying to check in about 11:03 PM I was left standing alone for several minutes while being ignored by the desk clerk. On the fourth try she finally answered the phone and abruptly told me the last room had been sold over two hours ago. I assured her I had a room reserved so she came down & checked me in. When I finally made it to my room the door was open, the window was open with no screen, it was 42° inside, the full trash cans were sitting on the counter, there were no towels/washcloths, & there was a used bar of soap in the bath & candy on the floor. One of my worst hotel experiences ever.

We reserved two rooms and when we got there they couldn’t find the reservation than after they straightened the error out we were given a room that wasn’t cleaned. Than was given a replacement room the lady at the front desk had personally checked the room prior to giving it to us.the bathroom of the replacement room had toilet paper on the floor with some type of needle.needless to say we didn’t stay.

Landscaping was all cut down or dead. Walked in and had to ring bell to get someone to desk around 7 times. Girl that waited on me had a tank top & shorts on. Front desk was worn and faded. Paint & wallpaper chipped. Desk/dresser in room scratched. I know ppl say well it’s just a place to sleep for the night, but this place is so run down and old. I doubt it’s ever been updated. How does the Motel 6 ever allow this place get so run down and dingy.

We tend to choose Motel 6 over other chains, because they are always relaxed about dogs.
This was one of the poorer examples of the \"brand\".
Hot water was there in the morning - but not at night when I wanted to take my shower.
We heard people in the surrounding rooms all night.
Police patrolled the carpark a few times during our 1-night stay.
The receptionist we checked in with was plain rude. The one who was on in the morning was very friendly and helpful. Not sure if that's enough info, but the rude one was blonde and the nice one had dark hair.
Finally, as we know that many places don't serve coffee just now, we brought our own coffee-maker on the trip ... but forgot to bring cups. They refused to even give us a plastic cup. I thought that was a bit ridiculous. (We got it from the gas station across the road, but still!)

So. I travel for work every week. So I've stayed in some real dumps and shady places. This place isn't shady but it's pretty gross. First there was a rotten strawberry sitting on the safe behind the counter on check in. Yes. You read that right. The elevator out but I think the owner doesn't want to pay the electricity. Then the hall ways were dirty with dirt and gravel the whole week from wind mill construction guys like myself. Then I went to plug in the fridge and open it up. Wow. The bottom was covered in mold. BUT the freezer had a melted snicker bar drum stick and literally an inch of mold. I was only one of two guests all week so that tells me I should have read the reviews first.

Did not expect fancy for the but just plain awful!

The girl at checkin was nice but that is where it ends. No upkeep inside or out. Linens stained and very thin. Could not print a receipt for stay in morning. No breakfast. Will never stay here again. We had stayed there in the past but were shocked at status of motel. Ordered online and were just plain stuck.

Lady at hotel was WONDERFUL!
However:
Second floor smelled of stale urine
Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable
Blankets were the equivalent of tissue paper
Had a choice of 77 degrees or 57 degrees.
Towels were thin as paper towels
No shampoo or conditioner
No coffee in room or downstairs
I don’t think our sheets were changed from the last tenants, they were dirty and rumpled.
Attempted to call the front desk four times with no answer, went downstairs and the front desk was gated.

The door to room 214 would not open 90% of the time, from the inside or outside, the magnetic lock would not release. The desk person had the same trouble with the master key. The hall ways are dirty, dog poop all over outside the back door. Key card would not open all the outside doors, one door was missing the electronic lock. There seems to be no interest by workers or management in keeping this place clean and functioning.

My first room the air conditioner did not work 91º in room and they refused to give me another room or refund after a 45-minute conversation between Expedia and Motel 6 mind you this is at 10pm after I had been traveling all day I said somebody's going to give me a room or refund they came up with another room and that rooms cleanliness left a lot to be desired stains on the pillows stains on the bed cover and the bathroom could have used a scrub brush they say their front desk hours are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. good luck with that ,with free coffee what coffee not if you're an early riser on the second day my key (9pm) wouldn't even work they said oh you checked out no I didn't I paid for 3 days don't you remember the 45 minute conversation we had when I checked in
Water on the floor in front of elevator with caution sign & bed sheet for over 24 hrs saw mgr walk past it more then once
if I could have gotten a refund and if the proximity of where I was going to be at for a funeral I would have stayed somewhere else
So if customer service and cleanliness is not a priority to you go for it

quite area, just north of Bloomington, IL. Stopped there to avoid the Bloomington congestion. Hotel was a no frills, but worked for us for a place to sleep. No amenities in room, no shampoo, hair dryer or coffee pot. Did have microwave & fridg. but room was clean. Was disappointed that there was no coffee in lobby when we checked out at 7am. Had to ring someone to ask for receipt, but guy said he could not give us one because we booked though hotels.com (kinda weird) I think he just didn't want to bother.

Bedding has cigarette burns, ashes on floor behind the fridge, microwave dented to no end, absolutely filthy shower curtain, hole in the wall above door, and it is probably the worst place I've ever stayed at. Will sleep with clothing on here.
