We will never return to this hotel unless it undergoes extensive renovation. POSITIVES: it appears the room has new furniture, new vinyl floor and a new bedspread. It has a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and a small cable TV. The hotel was quiet and the bed was marginally comfortable. The tub was clean, but when the bathroom floor was mopped, large wads of soapy hairballs were left in the corners of the floor. NEGATIVES: there was a thick, offensive smell of cigarette smoke in halls and our non-smoking room and bathroom. The shower rod was hanging at about 45 degrees, The body wash dispenser in the shower was empty (there was shampoo and conditioner, however). One outlet was over loaded with the frig, microwave, coffee pot and the TV and cable box all plugged into the same outlet. Another electrical outlet was broken and covered with plastic and tape. There was no lamp over the desk. The disgusting recliner needs to go directly to the landfill. The hall carpet needed vacuuming and had large stains. The lobby area had wall damage near the reception desk. Our room also had wall damage caused by the recliner and room decor or mirrors being removed. The bed sheets smelled clean, but didn’t look so clean. The pillows were flat.

We did not complain to the management. We didn’t feel there would be any viable remedy to our complaint due to the overall dilapidated appearance of the building and grounds.

The Hotel Owner, knew the rooms are \"BOOKED\", Why don't they have the room A/C, on it took all night for the room to cool down enough to lay down. The A/C, would not run on HIGH speed. We asked for (Low room), we got \"2nd\" floor. No microwave in room. If you didn't get up early you would not have breakfast. There is \"NO\" exhaust in the Bathroom. Who wants to smell other peoples waste or heat from their shower.

The staff were very friendly. I think that is the only positive thing about my stay. I booked this hotel for the pool. But when I got there it was down for manitnce. Looks like they were using it for storage. The hallway carpet wasn't very clean. My room had an ant problem. I will never stay there again!!!!!

The property was okay for the price and had extensive pool maintenance taking place. I stayed for 3 nights and each night around midnight there were people slamming doors and making excessive noise in the hall (spring break was just starting so I assume that’s the reason). I will be returning to the area soon and will be looking for other properties but wouldn’t have problem staying at this hotel again.

Easy check-in, booked a king size non smoking room. Very kind and courteous staff, room was very clean, towels, soap, tv, microwave, fridge, free WiFi, clean pool. Breakfast consisted only of cereal, milk, cinnamon rolls, and coffee at breakfast at the time of stay. Pillows were small for my taste, but overall, would book again. Would love to see more breakfast options :) thanks again!

This was the dirtiest hotel I ever stayed in. The room smelled like urine. I was on my hands and knees cleaning the floor and outside the toilet. Rag was black after cleaning. The rim under the bowl was black. My sister and I raided the cleaning closet for cleaning supplies to try and get rid if the urine smell. We changed ALL of the bedding. Mattress pad did not look clean. It had a big stain.
Needless to say we did not stay another night. We did NOT get a refund or a part of the bill refunded.
They offered another room, not when I asked for it that night it but the next morning. We looked at the room but… again the inside and outside of the toilet was filthy
I did not trust the bedding
The absolute worst. Where is Econolodge inspection of property.

I paid for 2 nights and checked out after the 1st night.
Pros:
-Staff was friendly.
Cons:
-Owner was sitting in the lobby with his shoes off like he was in his personal living room...gross.
-Carpet in the hallway was filled with stains.
-When I got to the room the door was already open. The lock to the room didn't work. After the owner looked at it, I was told to lift the door up to close and lock it.
-Room smelled clean but actually wasn't. (See pics below)
-Requested another room but was denied.
-TV malfunctioned. Upon investigating, the guests from the room next door, their remote controlled their TV and my TV.
-After checking out early, was told that my money for the rest of the stay could not be refunded.

U get what u pay for. Not bad for an economy rate hotel.
Pros: Room, lobby and breakfast area were clean. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: carpet in the hallways was disgusting. breakfast was toast, cereal and a waffle maker. Pool was empty.

Stayed in El Paso because it was closest to the event we were there to attend. In the future we will drive the extra few miles to stay in a nicer hotel in Bloomington-Normal.

Lipstick on a pig that couldn't be sold at auction

The place is under new ownership and the remodel was very poorly done. Towel racks are coming out of the wall because they were not installed properly. Shower curtain rod is coming out of the wall because it was not installed properly. Toilet is not installed properly and has pieces of cardboard shoved in different places to attempt to level it. It still rocks. The faucet leaks. The shower spigot leaks. The shower doesn't drain properly. This place has potential. You can tell the new owner without proper skills attempted to DIY the repairs to attempt to save money. Sad!

The check-in and out process was simple and efficient. The carpet in the hallway was filthy. One of the lights on the bedside table flickered when I tried to turn it on. There were pieces of folded cardboard supporting the toilet. The shower/tub creaked as I stood in it. The bedspread and sheets were stained and did not smell fresh. People in the hallway slamming doors at 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. and talking. Breakfast appeared to be good, but I had planned to eat elsewhere with friends. Did not use coffee maker. TV worked fine. AC worked fine. I used iron and hair dryer, both fine. Fridge worked fine. Newer chair and ottoman. I'm so sorry to be critical, but I don't know how else to alert the company to needed improvements.

What a dump! Dirty carpets & furniture! Smells like smoke! The pool was being resurfaced & out of service. In the back entrance were chairs & mattresses all pilled up presumably to be taken to the dump! Mattress pads were dirty & pillow smelled!
