However, we didn't manage to enjoy the pool area as it was closed. The staff did explain that it opens during summer. The breakfast was lovely, served warm, and offered a variety to choose from. A special thanks to a member of the staff, Željko. I can rate him 10/10; he was quick to respond to every call during breakfast. He always had his eyes open and cleared tables very fast to make space to enjoy breakfast. Every morning I looked forward to breakfast; he was really amazing.Spar and fitness wow.We enjoyed Hamman bath and massage. Overall experience, I will give the hotel an 8/10.

The staff was incredibly helpful and considerate! Next to the hotel lots of construction workers working and they even work Sunday 7am with lots of noise ! The room I booked was looking at an apartment and it’s so close we couldn’t even open the curtains! I paid extra and upgraded the room. The room pictures are a bit deceiving ;( The pool was closed understandable because of the season but the beach is still far from the property.

Wonderful hotel! A short walking distance from the promenade and the Old City. The reception staff, especially Suzanna, were lovely, efficient, and very helpful. I received an upgrade to an amazing room without even asking. The bathtub in the room was simply a treat. Many thanks!

The hotel itself was a very nice stay overall, it was clean and most of the staff was very friendly. The first night our AC was not working and they fixed it the next day. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Pool was beautiful on the rooftop with a stunning view of the city. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to old town and 8 minute drive. Be careful of taxi drivers overcharging or claiming there is a night time tax fee. Try to get the hotel to arrange any taxi drives for the most reasonable price. Overall had a lovely time at this hotel and in Montenegro!

We had two rooms and both of them smell like sewage. When you go to the restroom smells worse. The front desk was rude and they charged me $200 for my 4 year old and she sleeps in our bed. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Do not book!

Hotel is not a 5 star hotel it’s more like a 3 star. It’s very dated, the amenities are rubbish. The staff are appalling, rude and not helpful at all. There were always issues with our room and there were not accommodating.

The room smelt like sewage - they didn’t fix it. The shower leaked and was flooded everytime we used it - it couldn’t be fixed so everyday they were having to clean it. The breakfast was awful and the chef burnt the omelettes. There was an “emergency light” in our bedroom that wouldn’t turn off at night. Even though the 3 other rooms we booked in the hotel didn’t have this. They couldn’t not turn it off so we had to sleep basically in daylight. They didn’t even offer a new room- instead they said to sleep in another room every night but not change completely! The gym is tiny. The pool is tiny too. The food on the rooftop is disgusting. The staff is what topped it all off- they are the RUDEST people I have ever come across.

AVOID HOTEL - terrible service, dated & rude staff

I strongly urge guests not to stay at this hotel. It is dated, poorly maintained, and absolutely not 5-star standard. There were no basic amenities in the room, no staff to help with luggage at check-in or check-out, and service was consistently disappointing.

Our shower leaked across the bathroom floor and was never fixed despite daily complaints. I slipped twice. We had to call staff after every shower to clean it—once waiting 3 hours. We also found blood stains on our bedding and were asked if we wanted to change it ourselves as no staff were available.

Breakfast was terrible—stale buffet, limited variety, and burnt omelettes daily. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first night; the food took over an hour to arrive, and my dietary requests (no pork, dressing on the side) were completely ignored.

We had booked 4 rooms for 4 nights to celebrate my mum’s 60th, and multiple anniversaries. Despite informing guest relations in advance, nothing was acknowledged. The guest relations team were dismissive, and the assistant manager was rude at checkout—rolling her eyes and threatening to call the police when I said I’d like to record our conversation due to how I was being treated.

This trip was meant to be special, but it ended on a deeply upsetting note, it was stressful, unsafe, and upsetting. We will be formally raising a complaint. This was not an acceptable experience.

Gorgeous property. Phenomenal staff (especially Ali in the spa). The sauna and steam rooms are gorgeous! Breakfast was delicious and varied. Location was an easy 20-minute walk to the Old Town.

My only complaint is that the bed was not at all comfortable. There was zero padding on the mattress, so it was much too hard for me.

Limited breakfast option as per me in respect of 5 star hotel in buffet ( machine coffe, live counter preparing only egg dishes no scramble egg when i ask)
No water in swimming pool though advertised the property with swimming pool in november end)

I found the receptionist Suzana to be very professional abd helpful. I liked the modernised old world European charm at an affordable price. The room was spacious with little professional touches such as a sophisticated coffee machine. The shower was excellent . The balconies were spacious , but did overlook each other. The breakfast was excellent, so unlike those wretched USA chain hotel breakfasts created by accountants. The staff were all friendly. I realise the Iberostar Slavija Budva is not in the center of Budva, but close enough for me and especially with a car it helped me enjoy a perfect stay.

Shiny floors wound make a real 5* hotel!

Your breakfast was not so good, quality of food was almost bad! I been in most big chain hotels like Hilton, Mariott, Sheraton, Sofitel, Four Seasons and this was a weakest! Omelle station was nice. Also in room, there is nothing extra, not even a paper and pen! Also bathroom just have towels. I know you want to be paper and plastic free company, but it feel you just to save money! Also they charge my room, when check in? If this is Iberostar this was my first and last stay.

A lovely, new hotel with large, beautifully decorated rooms.
Front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Top floor pool and restaurant are nice. The hotel is on a busy street, so sitting on the balcony was not suitable, but with the doors closed, there is no noise.

We were upgrade to a junior suite which was fantastic.
The hotel rooftop bar service is great, lovely pool up there too.
The sunbeds aren’t the most comfortable but are decent enough.
The hotel gym was a bit disappointing.
Overall through it was a really great stay, lovely hotel where you can easily walk down to the beach and to the old town.

Had the most wonderful time. Rooms are a great size and very clean. The staff were super throughout and went the extra mile for my girlfriends birthday.

The gym could be better, but it has a an amazing rooftop pool with incredible views.

We had breakfast included which is buffet style and again couldn’t fault it.

Would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel, issue with cooling/heating system

Great service, friendly staff, good location. We booked a king bed and got 2 twins put together with individual sheets, not great. Central A/C-Heater, so you can’t change the temperature in your room. Overall was good, but they should invest in modernizing cooling/heating infrastructure.

Although located outside the heart of Budva, if you don't mind walking, its a lovely walk along the seafront to Old Town and the centre, and close to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But it was my room which was amazing, it was huge and very comfortable. Despite being on the main road it was quite, and the pool area was good too, great views.

Wonderful hotel, luxurious decorations, very attentive staff, excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, very clean, beautiful roof top with pool and restaurant/bar, good spa services, free parking, 2 minutes drive to the old city.

The only downside (and it's really minor regarding to our great experience): the room and fitness amenities were lack- tissue, shower cap, vanity kit, refill of the cofee starion at the room, and towels wet eipes and water in the fitness center were missing.

This was one of the best Iberostar experiences we have had so far. This is not a resort but a hotel but very self contained with a fantastic rooftop swimming pool with breathtaking views and a great bar cafe. The hotel staff were friendly and really helpful. Exceptional service from Sava & Jelena.

Breakfast was great, good selection and variety we weren’t bored (stayed 7 days) and neither were we overwhelmed with too many choices and didn’t see a lot of wastage which you do at some of these luxury hotels.

Supermarket attached to the hotel for convenience. Pharmacy two mins walk away.

Overall stay was very good and we would recommend this place to anyone. We were a family of three ladies - I was travelling with my mum (70years old) and my daughter (7 years old) we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you Iberostar slavija for welcoming us and making our stay for amazing!

Andrea the Hotel Director and her team provided a superb service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfect.The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The rooms appeared to be sound proofed as we did not hear any noise. The pool is AMAZING!The photos do not do it justice.The roof top bar & staff provided a great service.Plus points were the breakfast, great selection & the location. We were sad to leave, but for sure we will be back!

Iberostar is to good to be ruined by this.

Iberostar is a big name to be ruined from unprofessional people at the front desk. Very saddened people, the manager obviously totally not professional, during check in I let them know about a change, I brought another person with me so the room can fit two people because it was the same as one, and I was prepared for a price + just for the breakfast. The guy in front desk was very polite and he gave me a reasonable price, but when she came and heard that, she started speaking their language and after a minute he tells me he made a mistake and charged me 3x the price, in which I was not explained how come.
Spa and gym was ridiculous, they kept lying for steam room by saying will be alright tomorrow and tomorrow after tomorrow never got okay.
One thing about front desk, they’re are very good people but it seems they are a bit frustrated and stressed.

The hotel is nice, however the TERRIBLE service makes it a bad hotel and to a pleasant stay.

Breakfast is bad and service there is worst:
First day I ordered some eggs but the guy of the cuisine was having a chat with waiters so he didn’t do my breakfast, I had to go and ask him. He did it but it was super greasy.

Second day the buffet was not available or at least not the warm food, when asked the waiter about it he said he didn’t know and that I should speak with the people from the kitchen, they cook only some stuff.

Gym is open since 9am but breakfast is until 10:30am so or you do exercise or you have breakfast.

It was raining so we couldn’t stay in the terrace, we went to a working room in the first floor, however a girl told us we couldn’t sit there because the manager was in a meeting, only until the manager saw what was happening helped us.

The hotel has a TERRIBLE SERVICE people are not polite, don’t respect the customer and don’t care about it.

We loved staying at Iberostar. Friendly staff, clean and updated rooms (shower didn't drain well, but we told the staff about that as it happens!), nice gym and pool amenities. Wifi could be stronger on the roof as we were working the whole time and would've loved to work up there more reliably. Bar staff on the roof was very nice!

Mixed feelings , mostly disappointing

I am giving this hotel 2 stars out of 5, one for the infinity rooftop pool and one for the bathroom which had wet room with rainfall showerhead. The rest of the hotel cannot hide its origin from Communistic times. The staff has a long way to go to get to a sophisticated level. I would settle for the personality and finesse of a Starbucks barista for now. It was not very welcoming to international travelers but more attractive to local customers. To put it short; \"rough\" is the best word. The city of Budva has no character. The beach situated across the street, was dirty and smelly from food vendors on site. We were coming back from Croatia and decided to stay here, but the difference to Montenegro is very obvious, with Croatia being pretty much perfect and well taken care of. After spending a full day in Montenegro, I could not stop asking myself how were these guys approved even to join EU? Depending on your taste and standards, do avoid this hotel on your next trip to Balkans.

Hotellet var jättefint men några saker drar ner betyget. Städning skedde inte varje dag (eller väldigt sent, runt 17 tiden när man vill vara på hotellet. Sängarna var otroligt hårda. Dock jättesköna kuddar. I övrigt fina och rymliga rum.
