We arrived at Jabal Al-Aman around 2 a.m. and were given a room that was absolutely terrible—nothing like the pictures online. It wasn’t even close to a three-star hotel; it felt more like a one-star place in very poor condition. They then gave us another room, but that one was filthy, especially the toilets. I was traveling with my 70-year-old mother, and the situation was unbearable, so we had no choice but to leave and find another hotel on our own without even using Hotels.com. Jabal Al-Aman was a complete disaster, and we want a refund. The website rated it as an 8, but it was absolutely not an 8. In reality, it shouldn’t even be listed unless they post accurate pictures—it’s completely misleading.

well air conditioned, friendly staff. we left too early to try the breakfast, but they had a fairly roomy dining area so I expect it would have been decent. we got a free room upgrade since there were very few tourists at the time due to the conflict between Hamas/Israel at the time. For the price (55 JOD/night at the time for two twin beds), I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel is basic. During our stay, the safe had to be fixed, the bathroom bin didn't open, the shower head needs replacing and the towels were pretty worn/grey.

Overall I would say the place is value for money if you're looking for a place to rest your head and explore the Rainbow Street area

They’re amazing in several ways and make you feel life-altering when you walk through their doors. The hotel is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the room is great. I give them 4.2 stars that’s a great experience with them.

The location of the hotel is perfect, room is big and clean, and the staff are very kind. The hotel located at the end of Rainbow Str. where many nice reasturants, cafe, traditional craft shops can be found. It aslo close to the down town \"Wast al-Balad\" and close to many cultural monuments like Amman Castle, archaeological museums, Roman Theater, and so on.
Highly recomended.

* I wish they will consider add a sanddals in the room.

4/5 - Great few days

Our check-in was late (3am in the morning), so with the initial tiredness of the long flight and unable to communicate with the night guard and the uncomfortableness of the hotel, I didn't think I would give this hotel 4/5. But one day later, the negative list was getting smaller and the positives were high:
Located off the busy Rainbow Street, accessible to a lot of restaurants and bars
Helpful staff and easier to communicate with day manager, we booked a few day trip taxis through them and felt safe doing so
Outdated hotel but had universal outlets throughout the room - and easily accessible without crawling
small kitchenette with all the kitchen amenities to make the stay comfortable (fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, dishes)

Minor note is that breakfast could have been better, but after a few different stays in Jordon, this is their breakfast. However, this particular hotel did have more packaged items, that you can take to go.

The rooms were a bit smelly although it said non-smoking.

The safe was not useable (was not locking) and inaccessible (on a high shelf)

The washroom needs a complete renovation, very tight and water all over the floor when taking a shower.

Overall, a good hotel for a few nights, probably not recommended for longer stays.

Quiet hotel on Rainbow Street

This is a nice hotel we suited for this who want to be near Rainbow street but away from the cars and noise. We booked a non-smoking room which was fine but ours was the only one of the floor so the whole room /floor stunk of cigarettes. Breakfast was ok but very basic but nothing else in the area was open so limited for options

Jabal Amman is at a great location within a 10 to 15 min walking distance from main attractions at downtown; yet in a quiet area at the end of Rainbow St. Amenities were basic; however enough to make the stay comfortable. Rooms are pretty big, and staff was always helpful and friendly.

OK stay

We've stayed there for three nights. Hotel is a little unassuming but staffs were friendly. Room is not so good. The housekeeper always forgot something(handtowel, toilet rolls etc) and he didn't cleaned the bathroom properly. I don’t feel good about it. Breakfast is pretty poor too but we dont expected much be honest. The good part of hotel is in a good location and quiet. A few good restaurants and cafes nearby that we enjoyed. Do go to Surfa restaurant if you can. Food was excellent and courtyard setting is lovely.

The apartment is well located and big, but not clean and tv wasn't working in any of the room. We asked to the reception to fix it, they said they will have handled it the day after but they never got back to us. We also found a cockroach in the bathroom. Breakfast had a little choice and i also found slices of bread that were mouldy. Very little customer attention overall, nobody seems to care about what they are doing.

We arrived at night and the next day was total lockdown because of COVID, they explained that we could not go out or get delivery for food. So he ordered plenty of food for us to eat that night and the next day. It was so convenient that the room had a kitchenette. Breakfast was included and very good. The only disappointment was the cleanness, the shower was in need of a deep clean.

The size of the rooms were good and the staff were very friendly. Had it have not been so cold. I would have ventured out as the location also looked pretty decent and good. But that’s about where the compliments end. The building is old. The rooms had a damp smell. Mould was all over the bathroom and Even on the pipes and washing shower douche. I didn’t dare take a shower. Hearing the room was awful as we had to use an AC to do it and it didn’t quite even heat up the room. It definitely didn’t feel like a 4^ or an executive suite.

We were a group of 16 members and had booked several rooms. The hotel is off Rainbow street - great location with good restaurants nearby. Sufra is one block away. Indian restaurant - two blocks away. We had booked a two bedroom apartment - we had two big bedrooms, two full baths, living room, kitchen and breakfast area - very spacious. Since I booked on Expedia, I have been in touch with hotel with various requests and tour inquiries - they responded within 5 - 10 minutes and accommodated to every request - including adding extra beds at no cost. Breakfast was good and the staff got the breakfast ready for us an hour earlier than their begin time. Very good hotel in the center of the city with easy access to everything. Cant recommend enough

Hard to believe some of the other positive reviews, I’m sorry to say. To say that this hotel is ‘stale’ or ‘in need of a facelift’ is to miss the point; it’s very much sub-standard. We had to request toiletries and paper, the shower took time to ‘heat up’ (thirty min +), the main floor was sticky, the air conditioning was a law onto itself. Breakfast was a token gesture at best. You might say ‘so what, it’s only a hotel after all’. Yes it is, a bad one. And very poor value for money.
Positives? It’s on Rainbow street and very close to Sufra Restaurant, which is great.

We stayed for 4 nights from 11 to 15 oct and it waa a pleasant stay, the staff where amazing very welcoming and ready for the help with a smile they wilk go all the way to be helpful Saad thank you an yr colleagues.
The location is perfect in the end of the rainbow st. Where you can find different restaurants and Cafe a lovely place for the evning and night and a short walk from the old Amman.
If back to Amman we will stay again for sure in this Hotel.

The hotel is situated in a lively and interesting area with many shops, galleries and restaurants. The nearby Books @Coffee is excellent. It is convenient to the Downtown area. The staff were excellent: friendly, helpful and thoughtful.
The breakfast was just adequate, and our mini suite, while spacious and comfortable ,needed updating.

Location was perfect and size of the room since it is like apartment. In my reservation it was mentioned daily housekeeping however it didnt happen and had to ask. Had to ask for toilet paper twice! And towel replacement. Facilities need a revamp urgently

Amazing staff and location. Could not fault this however, we had to squash 4 cockroaches in our room. We didn’t want to tell the hotel and they change our rooms cause there would probably be more in other rooms not dead as they can out of the shower drain. At least ours were dead lol. But other than that, fine.

I read about Jabal Amman in Lonely Planet. We appreciated that it was in a great location, but very quiet. The breakfast is adequate and the facility is very adequate. Air conditioning was great. We appreciated the 2 bedroom apt for our family of 3.

Quite hotel in rainbow street!

If you wanna stay in famous street in Amman (rainbow street) then you should choose this one hotel. Extremely good hospitality and good service. Breakfast was good but they don't have to much choice. Anyway this hotel deserve very good grade!

Centrally located to walk to the Roman Amphitheater, Citadel, Museum, markets and restaurants. Place is a bit shabby and definitely needs some repairs. But the beds was comfortable; fridge and microwave worked. Breakfast was fine with proteins -- they simply need to replenish the foods more frequently..

A hidden gem

The staff at the Jabal are extremely welcoming and very kindly arranged an upgrade for my friend and I. The hotel is very well located on one of the main night life streets and has a very quirky (in a good way) bar right next door which is ideal to unwind.

Our rooms were well cleaned, I just wish that as other guests have said, a little more effort was made to raising the standard of the finish as this could be a even more of a hidden gem in Amman!

The rooms, including bedding and towels, were clean, but the general upkeep of the hotel and attention to detail was less good and things were starting to look a little worn in places even though I think the place was quite recently refurbished.

Hotel was well located next to Rainbow Street.
Hotel staff were friendly and keen to help.
Our room was spacious, however located what must have been about 2m from a loud, obnoxious bar (possibly called Crab Lounge) that was quite empty but played loud, terrible music until 1am or so. As a result we couldn't sleep!

The location is fantastic - very close to Sufra (best meal in Jordan) and La Calle (nice spot for rooftop happy hour around the corner) with fun shopping, shisha, ice cream etc right on Rainbow St. The 1-bed flat was a very good size - I only regret not staying longer to enjoy it more! Comfy bed, wonderful shower. Appreciated having a good kettle. Nice breakfast spread in the morning too. Staff were helpful in arranging a driver for a day-trip to Jerash.

Great hotel in a wonderful area

The hotel is located in a great area that is one of the most walkable in Amman. The staff is very nice, and respond to requests (like more coffee or an ironing board) very promptly. The rooms are clean and large. The two bedroom suites are basically two bedroom apartments with a full kitchen and lounge. They would be perfect for a long stay.

We stayed two nights and had a good time. Location is great on Rainbow street with several good restaurants and bars. About a 12 minute walk to the Citadel and Roman amphitheater, which themselves are about a 12 minute walk from each other.
