I had a wonderful stay at Zaman ya Zaman Boutique Hotel in Amman. Adnan and the entire staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made my stay special.

The hotel is perfectly located in downtown Amman, close to great food, shopping, and many key attractions. As a female solo traveler, I felt completely safe both at the hotel and walking around the surrounding area, which meant a lot to me.

My room and private bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable — I slept so well every night. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely amazing and a perfect way to start the day.

I would highly recommend Zaman ya Zaman Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Amman and would happily stay here again.

Overbooked sent to another hotel.

I turned up at the hotel (after a bus journey from Petra ) only to get some excuse from staff about maintenance work in my room!!

Truth is, Zaman have a very old booking system and because of their location and price, get over booked.

I was then sent by Zaman to their 'sister' hotel the Hotel Arabesque, in a completely different area of Amman.

Zaman Ya Zaman, it is 2023!!!! Modernise!!!

Zaman could have contacted me to tell me or cancelled my booking earlier....

We booked this hotel for 3 nights ,we had 1 x 4 sleeper room and 2x double room for 3 nights.
We got to the Hotel at about 1 am as our flight landed at 11pm ,The hotel made some silly excuses saying theres a leak in the room we supposed to check in amd he needs to evacuate the building and sent us off to jordan towers which is non the better in terms of standards though the people treated us kindly etc i eventually had a beautiful stay at this hotel its plain and simple my complain is that if i wanted to book this hotel i could have online and it wouldv saved me 1200zar per night after checking in i went to fight once more alone demanding some sort of refund or atleast the extra cash paid for the booking as now this hotel is a cheaper hotel and i paid 350$ fore 3 nights etc which the hotel refused to refund. I would never recommend this hotel to any1 its hard earned money which i would say they stole. If i could smack some1 it wouldv been that guy imagine all of this drama happening at 1am with ur family getting kicked from pillar To post and after all not refunding the extra paid for being checked into a cheaper hotel .Bad experience it still upsets me 3 days later ...daylight robbery dont book this hotel ...stay at Rafi Hotel iv stayed there plenty of times service is good,rooms are good price is good just never had availability.

Pleasant hotel near downtown

The hotel is good compared to other properties around the area but a bit noisy. Rooms are clean and nice. The staff at the front desk are helpful. Breakfast in amazing and the filipino staff are kind and great cooks.

On the downside beware of the hotel swap scam. Luckly I read about this before on one helpful review. On arrival, if they provide the pick up from the airport, the driver will tell you there has been a problem with your room at Zaman ya Zaman and they will take you to an other hotel that seems to be somehow connected or owned by the same individuals. This other hotel -Arabesque in our case- is a dirty and rundown property which cannot be what you paid for in the first place. They tell you that you will be transfered in the morning to Zaman but the next morning they will tell you you have to stay there as your room is not available in Zaman and are very insistant on this. I said absolutely not and went directly to Zaman to straighten up the situation. As they saw I was unhappy and unwilling to be left in that dreadful Arabesque Hotel, in Zaman I was told they were waiting for us and the room was ready, no problem seemed to exist. We went back to pick our suitcases and they even paid a taxi to take us back from Arabesque to Zaman with our luggage.
The stay in Zaman was totally different, the area is lively and walking distance to downtown, the Citadel and across the Roman Amphiteatre, they offer good shared tours to diverse places in Jordan.
Overall a good stay.

attractions, speaks english, vey polite. Everybody should buy Jordan Pass before come to Jordan, we used for our entry visa and many attractions including Petra.Cons: not handicapped friendly many steps, noisy street hard to sleep, ambulance and police makes a lot of noisy everyday, not quite area, need to improve bath towels, gave us a 2 small towels smells not so good

Caution! Beware!

I booked this 3 star hotel due to the good reviews. However, when I arrived, Kalile, hotel mgr. said there was \"water problems\" in my room and offered me an upgraded hotel. I believed and trusted him. Later, I found out the hotel, he transferred me to was a 1 star hotel and half the price. I spoke to the receptionists Shahid and Muhammed who refused to let me speak to the mgr. and also refused to give me the difference in price! I was at the hotel asking for the difference every night until I flew back home. Still no money back! And the response was, why am I asking for the money and it is only money! I was told that this was done before. Beware, they will rip you off!!!

Young & Vibrant Hotel in city centre

Zaman Ya Zaman Hotel was the first hotel we stayed in during our cross country trip in Jordan. All I want to say, we were 2 Indian girls travelling alone and it was just the perfect way to begin our adventure. The hotel is perched right opposite the Roman Amphitheatre, and the best part was that we got upgraded and got the room whose balcony opened to the amphitheatre! Just amazing! The indigenous multi-color Jordanian steps were an amazing spot to shoot pictures for my fashion blogger travel mate. A free public parking across the road ensured our car was safely parked for free.
The breakfast is the best part! Yummy and delicious and so fresh, it was a delight to wake up every morning and begin the day with the healthy spread.
The staff were truly kind and funny. A complete value for money hotel.

I do not recommend this hotel for any body

The pictures are good but the hotel should not be mentioned by expedia. I arrived around midnight. I did not find the minimum basic of living. I was horrified to see a shared bath room . Tv is not working. The room is about 3m by 3m. Just an old and filthy coffee table and steel like a book shelf . I left to another hotel the next day without notice . Went to another hotel 5 dollar more a day but away worth my money with breakfast . I suggest expedia to eliminate this hotel from showing . And I think I should ask about refund for that

The worst hotel experience imaginable - AVOID.

It's difficult to know where to begin. The place is less than inviting, the staff incompetent, the food lacking, and the overall experience dreadful. I have traveled extensively through the Levant and found this hotel to be the worst. The receptionist was clueless and unhelpful. I inquired about email correspondence I had with the facility regarding a driver and he couldn't find any such thing. After a solid 20 minutes of this, it turns out it was he who I had been communicating with. It was as if he couldn't be bothered. The room (upgraded!) was a dump facing the street - a LOUD, congested thoroughfare - which made it virtually impossible to sleep. I informed the staff that a reservation I had for a future date would need to be cancelled due to the tour schedule the hotel had arranged. I was assured that this would be taken care of only to find that they charged my credit card $103 for the cancelled reservation. I wouldn't pay $103 to stay there for a week, much less one cancelled night. I was robbed and less than pleased about the time I stayed there. To be avoided as there are MUCH nicer and less expensive options in central Amman.

I didn't like where I stayed. Unclean,messy,the service was not great,etc. People didn't help me carry my luggage on longer stays and the breakfast was horroble. I don't recommend anyone to stay unless if you were late for your flight.

Definitely a bit of a surprise from what I thought I booked. Expect to pay cash, no card payments available during our stay. Our room was on the roof, which fortunately no one else seemed to use, but technically quite visible to the outside if anyone else went up there. Glass doors with no coverings, no door separating the bathroom from the bedroom which left a lot to be desired as far as privacy. No wifi available on the top floor where we were. Breakfast was great, and the location was convenient. Also realize parking only available at the property from 7pm-7am. No toiletries in the bathroom and had to ask for towels. Definite budget accommodation, but at higher than expected prices.

Cute budget hotel, great location, FABULOUS staff

The hotel is a great price. The decor is really cute and alot of effort has been put into cultivating a lovely, quaint environment - flowers, colors, beautiful outdoor seating. The views from the hotel are quite spectacular - overlooking the Roman theatre and Wast al Balad (downtown). As for the rooms - you really get what you pay for. I wasnt expecting the Hilton, based on the price I paid. However, what took this experience to a whole new level of amazing (and made me extend my stay not once, but twice) was the incredible staff. My booking was handled by Shadi, who was simply awesome, but all the guys were so cool! I have many new friends now, and without these guys' amazing company and service, from serving me my breakfast in the morning to just chilling in the lobby, I would have had a totally different experience.

The room was extremely small (Standard Economy) There was no telephone services in the room hence each request had to taken personally downstairs to the staff. The good thing was the location being right opposite the Roman Amphitheater and it is a busy place so it is easy to get cabs.

I would not call this a boutique hotel

I've waited a few weeks to write this review so I've had some time to think about this. Upon looking at the photos I was thinking positive about this place. Upon check in I was a little concerned and upon going to my room I was horrified. Forget what is pictured on the website. I selected a single room which had a description of a double bed-I even asked for a double bed in my email confirmation. I also had the ensuite/bathroom in my room. Imagine my surprise when I went to my room and it's a single bed and the room is about 3' bigger than the bed on the side and foot of the bed. The \"bathroom\" is at the end of the bed and there was water puddled at the front of the toilet. The bedspread was old and had visible signs. After I caught my breath I went down stairs and asked for the double room. Immediately it was two of them against me so I tried to keep my calm and explain they can't give a description for one room and check people into something significantly less. The response I received was other hotel chains do it so that's typical. In all my travels that's the first I've heard a hotel open admit bate and switch is perfectly ok. After some talking they were kind in putting me in a larger room. Even that room was dirty-phone had a layer of dust on it, I had to use a disinfectant wipe to clean the urine spots of the toilet seat, the walls were marked with dirt by the bed, etc. I slept in my coat on top of the sheet and opted not to shower the next day.

Excellent Value, Superb Location, Great Staff

Pros: We arrived at 1am yet were greeted warmly and helpfully. Throughout our stay, the staff remained helpful in advising us on what to see or do, where to eat or shop, and in connecting us up with local taxi and cross-country transport. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice modern bath (we chose an en suite room). The free Wifi service is a bonus. If you should get a room with balcony, you will also enjoy breathtaking views and sunshine. Breakfast was made with fresh ingredients, rich in taste and in nutrition, to give us just what we needed to start the day well. Good coffee and teas. The hotel’s comfortable lobby is a good place to plan your day after breakfast. The hotel booked us a car for 3 days of travel from Umm Qais in the far north to Petra in the south: this worked very well for we had the benefit of an expert driver, fluent in English, and well-versed in the best sights and shopping across Jordan. They also arrange shared rides for the budget-conscious.

Cons: None!

Location: In the very heart of old Amman with a frontal view of the beautifully preserved Roman amphitheater (“Romani” to the locals) which also boasts small but excellent museums. We felt transported back in time amidst the warmth and friendliness of the surrounding neighborhood, the old city center, full of affordable eateries and restaurants serving quality food, and shops offering a wide range of goods of interest to the visitor. physical attack

i was physical attack at 3 am in this hotel.

when i try to call the police and the American embassy they cut the internet .

they charge me cash and then give me a one single bedroom room but my reservation was double room.

When i complain and told them about my booking contract they said they dont follow the contract, I recorded the conversation and they attack me break the case of my phone and made me delete the file .

this was the scary time since they were tow people attacking me .

i report them to the US Embassy in Jordan, the Police and Hotels.com

Simple, family run, hidden gem!

From start to finish the hotel staff/owners were friendly, helpful and approachable - nothing was too much for them! They were helpful in advising us about a driver we had booked and the alternatives available. They were very honest and trustworthy, and we did end up using one of their drivers (Jamil) who was great and saved us money! They do offer a range of trips so ask in advance.
It is a family run place and We enjoyed the owners sense of humour! The hotel is simple but clean and affordable. Our room had comfortable beds, a/c, a tv and a breathtaking view of the amphitheatre. Breakfast was a selection of Arabic mezze or eggs cooked various ways.
Don't judge this place by its kerb appeal - it's a hidden gem! A wonderful family run place.

Very Clean Hotel With Very Nice Staff.

As a single traveler, I booked a single bed with a shared bathroom. Though my room was small and had no window, it was what I expected and didn't need much more since I wasn't planning on staying inside anyway. The bedroom, hallways and bathrooms were very clean. There were at least four bathrooms so I never had to wait to shower or brush my teeth. The bedroom air conditioner was very cold. There was an area outside my bedroom where I could sit and enjoy the view of the Roman Amphitheater.

It's a family run business. The owner of the hotel and his father was very kind and I would speak to him about the daily life in Jordan. They spent time on giving ideas about things to do and eat in the region and also guided me on how to travel to Jerusalem.

The front staff and kitchen staff was also very nice. The included breakfast was very delicious. For the price, this hotel can not be beat. It's located in the older part of Amman and away from the newer hotels. It is in walkable distance to the Citadel which I recommend if you're in the area. It is also in walking distance to the local shops.

On arrival it was a bit scary, but after entering up some cement stairs into the small lobby, we were greeted by very friendly staff. It is very small but the room was clean, and it has a terrace on the roof overlooking the colleseum. Other than the ear deafening music until 1:40am from a store directly below us, it was ok. Don't go during Ramadan!

This place is a total gem. I stayed here alone for a few days after travelling elsewhere in Jordan - a great decision! I stayed in the hotel a lot by day as it was Ramadan, and I happily took advantage of the seating on the roof and the air conditioning and wifi in my room before venturing out to the city by night. The location is great, with a gorgeous view of the amphitheatre and just a few minutes walk from the old downtown. Amman is not a quiet city, and noise does carry but the hotel itself is peaceful and feels like a calm little hideaway. The doorway to the stairs leading up is buzz-entry so the building is very secure. All of the staff were lovely - happy to help, chatty, interesting and interested. The breakfast was brilliant, lovely and fresh and healthy and served in a gorgeous little dining room. In fact, all of the decor and design of the hotel is beautiful and I really appreciated the effort that had been put in to making everything just-so. I'd come back here in a heartbeat, and have already instructed my friends living out in Jordan that if they have visitors coming through Amman then they should be staying here!

Brand new hotel. They were just installing a/c on our arrival day. Shared bathrooms in hallway. First floor bathrooms are beautiful. Second floor bathrooms not so much. Some of the rooms have private bathrooms, but transparent so not recommended for roommates, only for single travellers or couples. Clean towels are provided but bring your own toiletries. Rooms are basic with comfortable beds. Some of the rooms have a nice balcony. Great location just across the Roman amphitheater. Breakfast is nice. Free Tea and Coffee 24/7. Uneven staircases so be careful indoors. No elevators and not wheelchair accessible. Great service. Staff speaks British English. Super friendly hotel. Value for Money.
