The hotel is located at the end of the road on a cliff with an amazing view and crashing waves. Not a swimming beach but you can walk just 5 minutes to get to the beach or 1.5 miles hike to get to another beach. Both lovely and clean and swimmable. There is a restaurant on site and the food and drink were very good and prices fair. The staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed in a lovely ocean front cottage. It was simple and comfortable. It had both ceiling fan and air conditioning. The electric went out several times in the night but the generator turned on so quickly it was never so noticeable. The water pressure is non existent but also not an issue. The view made it all well worth it. We loved it!

The place is very well located with an incredible ocean view, however, it’s not well maintained. I staid there 2 nights and I could not use any of the pools as they were dirty. You could see the filth resting at the bottom. Also, the mattress was old and it had a very noticeable indentation that made it uncomfortable. It is a beautiful place, but it lacks major maintenance.

Provide hot water in the shower would be nice. Also it was a hassle that the toilet tank did not fill up with water. Luckily only booked for one night. Beautiful location very poor maintenance of the property in my opinion.

The place is on top of a hill which gives you an spectacular ocean view. In the morning you can hear birds and the amazing sound of the ocean waves below. It is a place to enjoy nature, views, tranquility, the beach, sand, just to breathe fresh air. It’s a quiet atmosphere, not a party place. I love this quietness and I will come back soon. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.
There is no refrigerator in the room, so i guess we better bring a cooler with ice next time. It’s really an amazing experience in Playa Destiladeros, Pedasi

We had a lovely, quiet and relaxing stay. The staff was super accommodating and helpful, going out of their way to please our needs. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Very relaxing and tropical scenery. Restaurant menu was varied and delicious. Only downside is the main road to get to the hotel — you need at least an SUV to get there, specially when it’s rainy. Will definitely come back during the summer!

The chef made our stay!!!

It was a last second choice and only for one night. The room was perfectly adequate, nothing special but clean.

Parking and checking, simple and accessible.

The view from our room was absolutely spectacular!

But, as foodies, the chef at this property was over the top fantastic. We commend him for his friendliness and generously, sharing his time and his talents with us. And we regret that we were unable to stay for lunch.

The location is amazingly beautiful, the beaches are fantastic and the buildings are good (they are doing maintenance and it was not so nice to look at all the construction. But the road to get here was a night mare, it was rocky and with big holes. Also google map and WASE were confused on where it was. It kept taking us down the wrong roads. I arrived super stressed out because of it. Otherwise love the place.

Exceptional destination, peaceful and beautiful, we enjoy plenty of breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The staff were very kind and demonstrate special attention to out kids which is very much appreciated. The place is pet frindly which is a plus for us traveling with out per. This is fine for a few days. The beaches are local and the sea warm. Whilst they claim to have internet in every room, my room (5) did not have internet in it. The food is average and the drinks seems overly pricey - $7.42 for 2 cokes… That aside the views are amazing and the constant roar of the pacific is amazing. I would go back, but only for a few days, its not a place to stay longer

Pools were filthy very cloudy, dirty bottoms, one was half full. At check in I was asked only to write my name, while the man texted on his phone, several minutes later he led us to a room. The room was decent. Daily room cleaning didn’t happen, breakfast was to be included, but no idea when or where. The place is in a beautiful location, and in decent shape it could be amazing. They need to improve the service, since it was non existent. The only word spoken to us in 48 hours was…. “Nombre” at check in. The pools need to be functional. Quite disappointing. I will not stay here again.

Excellent views of Pacific Ocean! Beaches nearby. Absolute gem of a property. I know how COVID has and continues to impact many businesses. However, there is a lack of attention especially with the pools. Not crystal clear water. No filtration system. One pool open. Second one closed. Both should be closed.The value was not there for money spent. Air conditioning in room was awesome. I think it needs to be cleaned though. Faint musty smell. This place could rock! Hopefully owners infuse some cash or a manager who gets the employees doing their jobs. Or both! Food was good. Awesome set up. Please get it back into shape!

The beaches were incredible.

For being a small, isolated restaurant, the food quality was very good - the selection was limited however.

We hadn't realized how desolate and isolated that part of panama is - Pedasi is tiny, basically 1-2 streets, perhaps 1 mile long. we didn't find any good restaurants in it, and the next larger town - Chitre - is 90 minutes away. so either bring some food with you, or live on the restaurant in the resort - as mentioned above, their food quality was very good, but very limited selection.

a very relaxing stay, but more than 2 - 3 days and it would start getting boring, at least for us.

The property allows great views of the Pacific Ocean. There are several beaches close by. These were very secluded and we were the only ones there. The staff is outstanding, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was not much visited due to COVID. Due to this some of the Amenities like the bar, and the pool were not maintained. The room was great, with the exception of the shower. You could choose between hot or cold water when showering, but there was no in-between. The road to the hotel is a dirt road for the last 1.5 km. Do not drive your sports car there.

The staff management of the property, namely Andreos, made the entire experience superior.

When original flight cancelled, and we arrived late on alternate flight, he meet us at 11:30 PM for room chk-in well after hotel office closed. On chk-in, Andreos offered a late check out that permitted us to see the area for the day and return to hotel before final checkout. Facility was clean, well maintained, breakfast enjoyable, and the staff courteous & professional.
This speaks well for Punta Franca resort getaway in remote Pedasi by sea.

The location is wonderful and has one of the most beautiful views anywhere. The restaurant has delicious food and drink and the included breakfast is simple but good. The pools are wonderful. Close enough to Playa Venao to enjoy a beach day there.

This is my second time in this amazing place by the ocean. Great comfortable clean well decorated rooms, great see view from the restaurant while eating breakfast, privet beach, 2 pools, beautiful location, friendly welcoming stuff ! A great place to chill and travel around, minutes away from some top surfing spots. One of my ever favorites. Highly recommended !

The hotel is situated on a bluff with a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant has views of the beautiful Pedasi coastline. The grounds are well maintained with a nice pool to swim. The ocean front room was clean and spacious. Our Mahi mahi dinner was superb.

This property is perfectly located in terms of view and enjoying nature. Everywhere you look it provides a unique sense of being at an amazing oceanside site. The staff is very easy-going, especially at the front desk which is free of all the hotel chain hassle and they just make you feel like a local. The only thing I'd have hoped was better was the restaurant´s menu offer, for being located at a fishermen's town there was no seafood offered at all.

We were a little disappointed coffee was only served at breakfast and the flies were troublesome, although we know there was no way to control that other than screening off the restaurant. The hotel is difficult to access because the entrance road is rough and rocky. Nevertheless, all in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it.

They were short of staff. Long wait to get served breakfast. The complimentary breakfast only includes toast, jelly, juice and coffee. Not enough tables, only one person attending. No service at the pool. Low water pressure (difficult to take a shower). Hot water not working. Unacceptable for the price. The place is naturally beautiful... Lots of potential.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, with a nice beach for walking close by. Check in was okay, but not much information. The toilet backed up in the middle of the night and it was late afternoon before they dropped by to see what the problem was.
The food was pretty good for dinner. Breakfast was confusing and exasperating. The staff didn't seem to want to help and were very slow at setting out food and didn't seem to want to take my order. Part of it could have been the language barrier, but they just didn't seem very friendly

Nice Hotel at Pedasi

Nice Hotel, great view. The beach is great right there. The pool is a lil dirty. When we checkin the personal was very nive and polite he told us we can have a late checkout it we wanr to extend it till 3 pm but we decide to check out at 130 or 2 to be nice we the personal who clean the rooms, and for our surprise the daugther owners was there and she knock our doors at 130 pm (we was already getting ready lo leave) and this lady told me in a rude way the check out is at 1pm and i told her we know, im sorry we already getting ready to leave we the reason why we take few mins extra was bz the guy who receive us tell us to do that abd she was like i didnt know that and i told her we are leaving now dont worry, and i went to the reception to do the checkout and she was so rude. The hotel was great but with this behavior or the way she treat to other ppl is just not ok.

They charge you only for the view , wich is splendid.... but you dont have direct access to the beach, To get to the hotel you have to go to through a mud road. When you get there you will find worn out facilities, I mean LIKE REALLY WORN OUT. My wife complained really hard about the breakfast , just coffe , toast , frootloops and some fruit put out together in a very poor way. The manager came to me a moment later telling us that if we were so dissapointend that he will return us our money, and help us find another hotel. (although it direct to me in a proper wary , it seems to me that he really wanted us to leave the hotel thinking that we well make a scandal... )

Land's end almost impossible to get to

Guests will want to know this which wasn't evident in our advance research. This hotel is on the edge of nowhere, literally at land's end. It is almost impossible to find, especially at night, and may be reason enough NOT to go there. It is also not on route 2, which itself is not marked well, nor is it in Pedasi but rather about 8 km further. Then, you wind your way on largely unmarked roads that end up as rocky dirt paths. It is easy to break down, as one truck did. We can't imagine it in rainy season--you won't be able to get in or our safely. Nothing is marked. You have no idea how to get there without asking and you'd better know some Spanish when you do. Once there, you are ok. We stayed put and enjoyed a calm couple of days. The restaurant has ok food but a limited menu, and overlooks the water on a cliff. Forget anything about beaches here. There are two pools with some murky water. The included continental breakfast was marginal and coffee, in Panama, seemed hard to get. Know what you are getting into before going here. The people are genuinely nice as is the place itself. But getting there was horrid.

What a unique place. Breathtaking views !

Unique place, isolate location. quiet tranquil everything is just lovely. The place is remote, but well worth the drive. Located on a cliff, with steps to a virgin beach. Nice cuisine. Simple but very large rooms.
Call it Bohemian chic. The owners are so sweet, the style is relaxed, all the guests super friendly.
Take a book, unwind....
Pedasi is a lovely place, the beaches are virgin, beautiful animals, Panama at its best
If you want to disconnect from the world...this is the perfect place

Clean, comfortable hotel with fantastic location directly on the coast, great parking. Very friendly and helpful staff, even went out of their way to do our laundry. Lovely grounds which were maticulously maintained, nice pool with good amenities (bar, umbrellas, recliners, etc.). Full restaurant and food was excellent, varied menu.

my only gripe with the place was the smell of sewerage that put a damper on the day. I thought they may be irrigating with grey water since they are in a drought, but saw no evidence of that. hopefully they get it resolved. this is not a really good swimming beach, too rocky, but great views

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Pretty spot. People are friendly. No hairdryers in the room, I had requested one twice but never did get one. Food was good although for some reason the restaurant is not always open in the afternoons. But they will fix something light for you regardless. Be careful in the shower as the water can get very hot and scald you if you're not quick to move.

A gem in the middle of nowhere

I was blown away by the views and perfect location of this hotel. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept. I wish I had spent most of my vacation there rather than Coronado. The beach was superb and we walked as far as we could. The hotel is on a dirt road that keeps going past the hotel. We walked on it for a few miles and really enjoyed seeing all the changes in scenery, the little alcoves, secluded beaches, etc...

Gorgeous location on the water

We loved our stay at Villa Romana. The property is beautiful, located on cliffs directly on the Pacific. The beach is a short walk away. There is a restaurant on site that served breakfast (part of the room), lunch and dinner. The pool is very nice, ther is a bar at the pool. The property is very much a boutique type of location. It is not a large operation. Stunning. The location for us was absolutely perfect. The only reason we rated it 4 is that visitors should be aware that the road to the hotel is long, fairly isolated, and dirt. It was absolutely not a problem to navigate and runs along the water. We enjoyed the stay immensely. The staff was excellent.

We've stayed in better places for less.
But what bothered us the most, was the poor attention from the manager. Both pools needed cleaning. Same applies to the bedrooms that had a really bad smell and NO CLEAN TOWELS.
The employees did their best and were nice even though they were doing 12 hours shifts (or more).
We wouldn't recommend this place.

Excellent and relaxing getaway!!!!

My wife and I stayed at Villa Romana and have not stop talking about the hotel and their staff, everyone, from the owner, the general manager and the restaurant staff was great. A nice property, very clean and relaxing. All the details from the pool bar and cocktails to the candlelight dinner were there. The 2 pools, the beach close by, and being able to drive to Pedasi and Playa Venao makes this place wonderful spot in Pedasi. We had a rental car, but decided to stay most of our time in the hotel since it was such a cool place to hang around.
We have tried several other hotels in Pedasi, and they all have their own charm, but this is by far the best place to stay.
We are already planning a trip back with our kids.

Very remote! To get to the nearest store is 30 minutes at $30 taxi. Asked receptionist about tours, NONE or they did not know much and I was sent on a tour with tax I driver who could not speak English (even a little)who took me to see a subdivision, 30 minutes, at a cost of $37.

Not recommended unless you like being remote such that there were often difficulties connecting to internet.
