The room was clean and had window air conditioning. We met the staff as we arrived. Checkin seems to be by a code. Then you get an old fashioned key for the front door and bedroom door. Breakfast is fix it yourself from various things to warm up. The electric is a little wonky, so be careful and read the sign of what can't be run at the same time.
Also had a bit of a time finding an outlet to charge my phone.

We appreciated the self serve no-frills yogurt and coffee pods in their charming dining area. The entire inn is historic. Only one point: the mattress was not supportive. If you have back issues you might need to request a room with a firm mattress. The Deckers room would not be that choice though that particular room was spacious and enchanting. Parking available and convenient. Air-conditioning and heating available. Television with Netflix via Roku.

The room was what we expected for the house being 129 years old. Very clean, friendly staff and quiet. There is no A/C needed this time of year, and there is no hot breakfast. Overall the wife and I loved the place and we would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay. Jared and Melinda are excellent hosts and made us feel welcome. The house is beautifully built and well appointed. The original architectural details are mostly still intact on the inside of the house. It is also full of interesting artifacts and historical pieces from the original owner. The breakfast is basic fare, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. Our room, the Decker Room, was spacious and a nicely decorated. The mattress and linen could use updating and it would be nice to have another chair in the room as there was just one desk chair to sit in. Good to be aware that rooms facing the street are exposed to traffic noise, a lot truck traffic. We would stay there again. I think the owner has only owned the place a couple of years, so it will improve with each passing year. He is off to a great start.

Needs a lot of TLC esp. on the outside

We would never stay here again. The outside needs a lot of \"cleaning up\" and it's clear that no one takes pride in how it looks on the outside. The downstairs was clean and as expected. The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty clean but the toilet was very low and the lighting as not good. The attached porch was extremely dirty, couldnt be used.

Authentic Victorian Experience

A lovely mostly restored authentic Victorian house appointed with period furnishings and artwork. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. Window unit A/C worked well. Upgraded towels, toiletries and breakfast items would easily make this an Excellent place to stay. Some hair conditioner and fluffy towels go a long way.

A Dream Come True

This house is fantastic. I had the luxury of being the only tenant for 36 hours. It was a Victorian Romantics dream come true. The entire house is period decorated. There are outdoor porches on every level. The rooms are abundant for groups or solo. You can read a book, play the baby grand piano (which I did), hide in your delicious room, all of the options are fantastic.

No staff at all. They are running this by computer. It is not safe to stay there. There is no one to lock the front door or to help you at all. If you do not have a smart phone, you will not know what room you have or how to access it. Breakfast? It is make your own coffee, stale prewrapped muffins or a little box of cold cereal. Do not stay here. When I left at 9:00 am, it appeared that I was alone. I have complained to Expedia. This property should not be on their list of hotels.

So - we booked for one night- expecting what other bed and breakfasts we stayed in the pass--quiet and serene, pleasant owners -- however, we are calling it a ghost B & B - didn't see a sole - only heard foot steps at 2:30 A.M.-but no one to be seen at any time- lots of truck traffic right out front. Wished there was a picnic table or something out back away from the road noise. The house itself was beautiful and clean. The person who we spoke to on the phone was wonderful and very pleasant- most likely will not go back

Did not like Travelocity stating it was air conditioned when it was not. Also didn't understand why Travelocity would put \"No elevators\" under CONVENIENCES.
