We had a lovely stay! The property is gorgeous, and the views are absolutely stunning. While our overall experience was positive and we would happily return, we did notice a few areas for improvement. First, the breakfast felt overpriced for the options provided, and we noticed some trash left in common areas that wasn't cleared for a couple of hours, which made us wonder if the team was short-staffed. Additionally, since resort guests often look for diverse culinary experiences, we'd love to see the breakfast and dinner menus expanded in the future.

I stay here about once or twice a year, and I have noticed post Covid a dramatic betterment of the property and staff. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the staff, friendly and attentive, and the amenities well worth the price they are charging. Can’t wait to return!

We visit here annually, but this year the amenities and attention to detail was worse than the Covid years. Daily room cleaning is finally back, terrible food, long waits for food and bar, inexperienced spa therapist, staff shortage- sir behind the bar was incredible but clearly exhausted.

Sadly the hotel is severely understaffed - which will certainly impact your stay. Location is nice, views amazing, and amenities could be great. But you’re in rural NH with nearly zero food options at a resort that isn’t staffed to provide a quality experience. Food is excruciatingly slow, and severely overcooked. We waited over 1 hour to get a drink at the bar. The spa was terrible with likely untrained staff. The pool area was unkept, with sticky floors and chairs and clumps of hair. I’m hopeful they can get this under control as we truly have enjoyed this hotel in the past.

Check-in went very well and our room was ready when we got there. Then we went down for lunch at the bar at Harvest. We were hungry and thirsty after a 2.5 hour drive. The bartender (a tall man wearing a hat) ignored us from the minute we sat down. My husband had to flag him down and he called to us from where he was standing to take our drink and food order. That was the last we heard from him. My drink (a bloody Mary), which I specifically ordered with no spice, was so spicey I couldnt drink it. Since we were being ignored, I couldn't notify the bartender about this. Eventually a woman came over and said she was from the gift shop and would help out. We asked her to check our food order, since we had been waiting at least 30 minutes at that point. She immediately brought the food out, and it had obviously been sitting, because it was barely warm. We ate what we could, signaled for a check, paid and left. Horrible, unforgivable lack of service.
The hotel overall was lackluster. Carpets throughout are worn and dirty. Coffee service was promised in the lobby in the morning, but never was there. My husband asked about it, and he was told that \"we had a hiccup this morning\". Apparently there was a hiccup the second morning as well, because there was no coffee. The coffee maker in our room was broken. We discovered this the morning we were leaving, and notified the front desk. No apology was offered. This was our first and last visit.

We’ve been here 2 other times when our kids were young. This time my husband and I went for Valentine’s weekend. Thursday evening we had dinner in the dining room and my Pork schnitzel was overcooked. My husband’s meal was great. When the waitress came over at the end of our meal and asked how dinner was, we told her about the pork schnitzel She said you should’ve told me, we said you never stopped by to check on us during our meal. We had lunch twice at the bar. The food was very good. The bartender was really nice but overwhelmed with the amount of people. People coming in, had to clear their own tables in order to sit down and order something. Overall service was lacking for the amount of people checking in.
The hotel should’ve realized that Valentines weekend and school vacation week needed more staff. We went off properly for dinner the other two night. Other families we met did the same. We enjoyed the sleigh ride and the barn animals. Tubing was fun as well. We went to the 9pm movie on both Friday and Saturday night and had to call the front desk for them to start the movie. Again, staff was overwhelmed everywhere. Beautiful location but service was disappointing.

Overall this is a lovely resort, though it could use some improvements. We visited over New Year’s and the NYE gala was great! Staff & bartenders were fantastic! Nice views and clean room. A few notes… outdoor activity center was locked and signage/x-country trail directions were not great. Ski trails not well groomed. Sundries shop could use some travel sized medicines/toiletry products. Would be nice to have complimentary fresh brewed coffee in the lobby each morning. Overall though a nice place to stay

The rooms were lovely and spacious with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. The lobby is welcoming with a nice gas fireplace and big bar area. The Tavern is middling (stick with fries & burgers!), and the breakfast buffet is disappointing. If the cost of breakfast is not included in your room, do yourself a favor and skip the $20+ buffet and drive a mile down the road to Grandma's kitchen for a fabulous, much cheaper breakfast!
The grounds of the hotel are lovely and our kids LOVED going to the farm out back to pet the goats, llamas and donkeys. The pool was great for the kids, and parking was easy. We enjoyed our winter stay (almost everyone at the hotel was there to go to Santa's Village!), and would like to come back and enjoy the summer offerings. The only drawback is the lack of good food options in the area, you feel stuck eating at the hotel tavern, which is mediocre.

Major issue was that the coffee and waters were not replenished after i arrived. No replenishment on friday or saturday. Dinner menu options very limited and , no salad, and sword fish tasteless. Free Coffee available all day in lobby would be a plus, clearibg if snow coukd have been much better on back entrance and front entrance as well.

Mountain View Grand Resort was incredible! We went in December, so it was a winter wonderland, and the Resort was full of holiday charm. The property is beautiful, clean, and has great amenities. The best part is the staff. We were only there a couple of days, but it felt like we had been there forever because of how engaging, helpful, and wonderful everyone was. You can have a great weekend getaway with friends and family here. I cannot wait to go back!

Property and surrounding area is stunning. Food was just ok. Rooms and hallways really need a good scrubbing and updating. Carpet is old and dingy. Doors to rooms are chipped and need repainting as well as the walls. Entire building is very dimly lit, which is fine but when you are in your room trying to get ready, the bathroom light needs to be much brighter. All the floors are very uneven. Nothing is level so if you put anything on a table or counter it rolls off. All in all, it’s ok. The spa was amazing!!!

The Mountainview Spa and Resort grounds are beautifully maintained. From the breathtaking views to the Adirondack chairs and fall mums of the covered porch, it is a memorable experience. I would give it a 5 star review, but the king size bed's mattress was a huge let down. It had a 24 X 24 circular cut out with no stuffing on the right side of the bed. I have noticed this issue at other mountain resorts, where mattress comfort seems to be an afterthought.

The staff at the bar that was there were excellent. It seems like it was off season and they needed more help. A tray from the room next door stayed on the floor in the hall for 2 days before I asked them to take it away.
Made window seat reservations at the Harvest Tavern and when I got there - no window seat was available. I waited on the phone for 15 minutes to make the reservation from home. There were only a couple of waitresses so ate at the bar instead.
The view from the Grand Queen Room was spectacular!!
Front desk staff were great!!!
Wine Cellar’s menu is very limited for $99.00 per person. I ended up canceling the reservation because of no beef option.
Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel. The restaurant and bar just need more help.

The hotel does have a lot of charm and potential. There were numerous areas that needed maintenance and a good sweep. The view from the very large porch is beautiful however there were dirty dishes and towels and food that needed to be cleaned up in a timely manner. Same for the pool area and game room.

Given the age of the hotel. It is noisy at night. You can hear the slightest footsteps and getting any sleep I had to wear noise canceling headphones just to fall asleep even with my son’s white noise machine playing. The food options for dinner are limited and there are no other sit down dining areas for families. There needs to be a better quick service area besides the bar and the store. The service people were nice but getting food took forever even for simple meal items. The plates are not filling for the price as well. I don’t know if we will be back. We went last year and had the same complaints but thought it was a fluke. For the price of the stay I feel the value just isn’t there unless you plan on golfing.

Whoever redid the lobby should be jailed. What a horrible thing that they did to a grand hotel. You walk down in the morning and the barstools are on top of the bar right in the middle of the lobby. The flood is grungy. The lobby furniture looks like left over college stuff. I really want to see this hotel succeed but this is the wrong direction. I remembered when it first reopened and it was so grand and classy. It’s turned into a mess. The library furniture is in deep need of a reupholster. I’m afraid to even say that as someone will turn that into another mess as well instead of redoing it in a grand way. What a shame…

The staff was well intentioned and did their best... but some of them were uninformed about the status of services (e.g., front desk \"Yes, cross country skiing is open today\"... pro shop \"No, cross country is closed\"). The building itself is nice... had a \"classic\" feel... but that carries into the guest rooms that are a bit dated. You'll pay an extra $40 per day for a \"resort fee\"... but if you don't have little kids there's not much to do. L1 EV charging outlet didn't work.

The hotel and activities are lovely. There is plenty to fill your time throughout the day. Unfortunately, the biggest downside to this hotel is the food service. Most meals in the Harvest Tavern had extended waits and overpriced for what you got. It seems like it was significantly understaffed and disorganized. Our soup came out and then we had to wait 10 minutes for a spoon.
I would definitely return to this hotel, but would try to plan for alternative food options.

We have stayed here multiple times in all seasons but were a bit disappointed this visit. The bathroom floor was not cleaned (dirt from boots there until I cleaned it) and someone’s (not mine) hair was found two days. We had issues with the coffee machine in the room not working and coffee capsules were not replaced. As we are early risers, waiting until breakfast for coffee was a tough start to a day. Coffee in the foyer like other destinations early on would be great. Breakfast was mediocre unfortunately, we went down the road for made to order breakfast. Also don't understand the “meal tax” when we only ate there 2days, charged for three. On the plus side the renovations look great, very modern and crisp. And the room was delightful, bed comfortable. We will be back and hope to see some changes. I

We came to this property to enjoy the amenities promised. We came to find out at check-in that the amenities listed on their website were not actually offered. The manager was very kind but when housekeeping left our door open it was the final straw. We will not be returning and will encourage others to find better places to stay.
