We opened the door and was greated by the largest cockroach wed seen, the towels were stained yellow and there were dirty stains on the doona cover. The property was dusty and not very nice.

The hotel is 20 minutes out of the centre of Nowra, and ideally situated for (grand)parents with small children. The public swimming pool, with a paddling pool, is just over the road, and there is a small port and a playground within about 150 metres.The rooms are well equipped, with cutlery, crockery, and even green tea and ground coffee with a French press, which we did not have in other motels. Very good welcome, and good information about the area. There are eating options nearby.

Good port in a storm!!

A very comfortable stay right by the water at Anchor Bay. A great location, and a very clean and well appointed room. We originally booked for 1 night, but were able to extend it to 2 nights because of torrential rain & strong winds for our drive home down the South Coast. There were no nearby cafes or restaurants open, but we were able to get food supplies from the local IGA a short drive away. We would return for another stay, hopefully in brighter weather.

Pristine fishing and oyster village. Serene.

Greenwell Point is a pristine sleepy little oyster and fishing village about 15 minutes from Nowra. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient.
We chose to go to the Bowling club for dinner which overlooks the oyster farm. Great place for a lovely lookout and drink. There is a choice of a Chinese Restaurant and a Bistro.
We took a walk along the waterfront which was a flat walk and about 2 kms there and back.
If you have children there was a great park for the kids to play in. We had a coffee in the morning from a cafe on the water front Boasting to have the best fish and chips. Was very popular at lunch, however we had eaten.
Driving out of town back towards Nowra was a great place to stop to have a browse and a meal. It’s called The Jindyandy Grain Mill.
The view over the farm land was a highlight while we indulged in a share plate for lunch.
There is also a Lolly Shop, Christmas Shop and The Mill is filled with lots of Local artists goods.

Wow! What a fabulous place - from our check in to the room and location I just couldn’t fault it :) The room was immaculate with everything we needed - there was even ice and cold water in the fridge. Our view was amazing, just across from the jetty. Such a peaceful little piece of heaven that I never knew existed. We will definitely return and stay a little longer.
