This hotel is more a series of rooms with a brief front desk that is available from 4PM - 8PM.

Rooms are spacious, but basic.

There is Breakfast on offer. But lunch, and no dinner. And also no bar.

Therefore you need a car if you are staying here. There are 2 restaurants available in walking distance (approx. 15 mins) and an infrequent public bus / train service which if you miss a bus, wait an hour. Miss a train, wait an hour.

It’s a good walk from the train station as well especially if you have luggage.

Staff were terrible. Reception desk provided completely incorrect information regarding ski hire and it not being available at the summit of zugspitze. Ski hire is indeed available. So why do they not know this?

They challenged my review on google saying they had no record of my stay. Expedia knows I stayed here, as that’s how I booked. So now they get one star from me.

We probably had the best view of the whole hotel! Staff was friendly, easy to get to. I will say though-it was hot every night. We had to keep windows open. I think the heat comes from the floor so they don’t/can’t control it…but besides that, I’d stay there again.

The view around the property was beautiful. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The size of the main room was massive and it had a balcony. We did have several issues with the property. Firstly, checking in, was a headache as the staff at the desk needed an obscene amount of information from each of us staying at the hotel and misspelled each of our names, despite seeing all of our IDs. When walking into the room at first, we noticed a smell that did not make us think it was clean. Maybe schnitzel? It was raining that day, and the skylight was leaking into the small bedroom, which also had a pile of dead bugs in the corner window. We realize that everything in this town is priced high, but we would expect more from a hotel at this price.

Love Quellenhof!!

We stayed at Quellenhof Hotel 3 times during the weeks we visited our son in Garmisch. Each time we stayed on a different floor - every floor has a beautiful view of the Alps! The rooms were always clean. Be careful to adjust the shower curtain just right or water will leak onto the floor. I encourage everyone to stay here! Ask for the bus pass while you stay. Grainau has great restaurants and shops! Beautiful village!

A great hotel right in the heart of the city among many facilities, restaurants and tourist sights. The breakfast was great and the hotel gardens in the back delightful. The rooms were beautiful and although the bathrooms were dated, they were historical and authentic, but very clean and a joy to use.

Wasps due to permanently open windows.

We had wasps in the room when we arrived and some throughout the night. We asked twice about the windows and raised that they wouldn't close. It's apparent that this is an issue they don't wish to resolve. As we asked twice, several hours apart, but nothing. No further communication and no effort to resolve the problem. It's a known issue. The annoyance of the wasps with 2 young kids was just another hurdle.

The staff was lacking friendliness and was actually rude to me at time. The room was old but clean. The shower design was horrible and had puddles on the floor after using. Room had a balcony with an amazing view which was definitely a plus. The train did go by right outside the room but the earliest was 5am so not an issue for me since I was already awake. No AC which is common in area but the room was extremely hot in July.

No hot water in the dead of winter

Worst hotel experience I’ve had in a LONG time. Don’t let the pretty photos and the good price fool you. Employees (especially the front desk lady) were incredibly unhelpful and impolite. The pool, spa, and jacuzzi are NOT OPEN anymore, unlike the listing states. On our second day of the trip the hot water and heat went out (we were there in December, temperatures below freezing) and there was no sign posted, no updates given unless asked, no accommodations for extra blankets etc.. they said we could go to the public pool to take a hot shower but they provided no shuttle and said we could take the bus (that only comes once every two hours) or walk 30 minutes in freezing weather. When it came time to leave the only discount they offered was free breakfast. Only $70 off an almost $500 bill.
This hotel feels like it used to be really great but has since gone to the dumps. Do not book here

No parking. Was told to park down the street. Room temperature was set to sauna and could not turn it down. No one at reception. Both at 3 pm and 9 am. Had to sit and wait for someone to show up. Loud. Hubby had to go knock on the door of another room at 11:30pm due to kids screaming on the balconies. Would never stay here again.

The family room was a good set up for our family of four with two teenagers. The location is excellent for zugspitz and other excursions. There is no spa or hot tub but my understanding is that one gets access to the town health club and buses - we did not use that however. Parking is tight. They accommodated a late checkin without issue. Breakfast is available for a fee, but we did not partake.

Genuinely nice and lovely hotel in traditional Alpin style. Great atmosphere, quiet, beautiful landscape. Room is cosy and stylish, and it has all necessities. A small minus is the limited parking space but all the hotels in the area has the same problem, but on the other side within short walking distance there is a big community parking with plenty of spaces. Highly recommended hotel!

Stay away from this property unless you like to look at and the sound of renovation work.Two large skips in the car park, waste metal stacked up and renovation materials. No indoor pool, sauna and steam room, jacuzzi and solarium available even though advertised. On arrival no hotel information was provided, i.e where the restaurant or bar was located, location of the pool/sauna and we were not informed about the building work when we booked nor when checking in. No temperature control in the room therefore unbearably hot, was a shared balcony so did not feel safe to leave the door open, balcony covered in dust from the work being carried out below the room. No tea/coffee facilities available in the room.
Positives - large room, newly renovated bathroom, both kept very clean.

We booked this specifically, in out of our way Grainau, because the listing offered two beds NOT a double bed. We included a special note that we booked it for TWO beds. When we arrived they had only a double bed and told us that if we wanted two beds that we “should have booked an apartment.” They further lied that we had confirmed a double, which we had certainly not. DO NOT BOOK unless you would like terrible service and to not receive the room you paid for.

Check in was disappointing and the room was mediocre with one pillow on the bed that was stained with blood and yellow. There was an elevator but guests are not allowed to use. So be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. The shower and tub were great, and the view from our room was amazing.

Was not what we expected, very run down hotel, room old, need renovation, shower broken, dirty ceiling, pool was closed, I chose this hotel because of the indoor pool, had to take my children to another pool and pay, the pool was closed cause it was not working without notice or sign. Breakfast very limited. Price was high for the type of hotel, going down to the sauna is like going through an abandoned dungeon not tidy at all.

服務人員很棒，入住很順利，記得跟服務人員索取city card,免費,因為住宿費用，現場會收城市稅，此卡可以搭此區的公車免費，自駕車可停飯店，需付費5歐/天，公車有到祖格峰纜車站，市區很多賣戶外用品，樣式折扣都很多，用餐的地方也多，唯一缺點沒暖氣，夏天也需問看看是否有冷氣，歐洲夏天沒以前那麼不熱了，但這位於山腳下，可能會好點.

Schönes Hotel in toller Umgebung. Viele Parkplätze ( leider kostenpflichtig, obwohl bei Expedia kostenfrei steht ) und gutes Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind groß und das Bad neu renoviert, aber sehr hellhörig. Man hört jeden Gast in näherer Umgebung. Die Betten sind auch schon etwas durchgelegen. Sehr gut hat uns auch gefallen, dass es ein Spielgerät für kleinere Kinder gibt.

Also Zimmer war an sich sauber, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten. Der Herr an der Rezeption beim einchecken war sehr freundlich und hat alles erklärt. An den anderen Tagen war eine Dame an der Rezeption, diese war mehr mit ihrem privaten Handy beschäftigt, als Gästen zu helfen. Balkon im Zimmer war nicht schlecht, jedoch ist direkt unterhalb des Balkons eine Bahnstrecke, diese wurde regelmäßig mehrmals pro Stunde bedient, dies war im Zimmer sehr laut. Mit geschlossener Balkontür war jedoch auf Grund der Temperatur das schlafen unmöglich.

Hat seine besten Jahre längst hinter sich!

In die Jahre gekommen, viele dunkle Ecken durch fehlende Bewegungsmelder oder defekte Lampen im gesamten Hotel. Zimmer zwar sauber, aber : zerrissene Vorhänge, defekter Zimmersafe, Zimmertüre lässt sich nicht absperren uvm. Frühstück ist ok ( 15,-€ pro Person)
Wir werden nicht wiederkommen, Preis/Leistung stimmt einfach nicht.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im August dort. Dafür war es in Ordnung. Das Bad war sehr klein und eng, aber neu renoviert. Die Tür ging allerdings nicht richtig zu. Das Hotel ist halt schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Manches wurde erneuert, wie z.B. das Bad und einige Möbel. Im 2. Schlafzimmer (waren als Familie zu viert dort) gab es leider keine Nachttische. Das Frühstück fanden wir vollkommen ausreichend. Es gab genug zur Auswahl.

Das Zimmer war schön und modern eingerichtet, das Bad renoviert. Alles war sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter zuvorkommend. Direkt vor dem Hotel gibt’s viele Parkmöglichkeiten. Ein Minuspunkt war allerdings die Temperatur, die leider viel zu hoch eingestellt war und man im Zimmer nicht abändern konnte. Das Zimmer war also viel zu warm und mit offener Balkontür im Winter zu schlafen war für uns auch nicht so die perfekte Lösung. Auf Bitte die Temperatur zu senken ist leider nichts passiert.

Zimmer groß mit Gemeinschaftsbalkon. Badezimmer neu, jedoch einigen Fehlern in der Umsetzung: Wasserhahn gibt bei kaltem Wasser nur warmes Wasser und andersherum, Türe kann aufgrund von Handtuchhalter nicht ganz geöffnet werden. Sehr hellhörig, wenn es in einem Zimmer nebenan oder darüber lauter wird dann ist schlafen nur schwer möglich. Personal am Empfang war nicht sehr freundlich und dazu noch unpünktlich, gerade beim checkout sollten die angegebenen Zeiten eingehalten werden
