If I could give this truly lovely little boutique resort 10 stars I would - we really couldn’t have chose a better place to stay with our 4.5 year old twins. Nat, the owner is so helpful & friendly & so are all staff, who all do their jobs fantastically. There is a genuine feeling of care & teamwork all round. We stayed in the 2 bedroom family villa which is actually 2 separated en-suite double rooms, with a shared open space/hall/reception area between then, opening on to a really great size balcony with comfy furniture, overlooking the pool. The grounds & gardens are beautiful & so lovingly designed & maintained. Butterflies & dragonflies flutter around & the sound of water features around the central pond, complete with fish we helped to feed, is so tranquil & relaxing! It really is a heavenly little Oasis that feels a world away from Chiang Mai city but only 10 mins via grab or bolt, so it’s very easy & cheap to get around. There’s street food, laundry & a 7eleven within walking distance, but we ate at the hotel & had laundry sorted by the housekeeping team too. The bedding & pillows are lovely, firm mattresses, which we are ok with. The food was all delicious! We stayed 8 nights & there was just about enough variety on the menu for us. We loved breakfast in the laid back restaurant, although simple choices of different egg dishes, waffles, cereals & pancakes it was always fab, with a huge platter of fresh fruits & great coffee, and the setting is lovely by the water. Nat, Kobby and the team have created something special here. The layout and grounds of the property are beautiful and the villas are clean and well appointed. They are a bit older, but that's absolutely fine as a modern room wouldn't really suit considering the surroundings. There's not a whole lot to do nearby but it's the perfect place to relax and an easy grab ride away from town. The staff are amazing and always offerred to keep my kids entertained while we ate breakfast or had massages in the villa.
Breakfast could get a bit repetitive if staying for awhile but it was always delicious. Recommend eating at the restaurant too as it has the perfect ambience.

This property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, away from busy roads. The restaurant is lovely and there are local food stalls a short walk away. The pool is clean and the gardens well kept. There is also a kids pool and play area so certainly family friendly. The staff are absolutely fantastic and we could not be happier with the service we received.

We had such amazing and warm welcome from the owner and staffs. When we arrived to resort. We received immediately warm welcoming and we feel like families. My daughter loves to play and chat with staffs. They make my daughter says “I love Thailand” it mean a lot to me. I definitely recommend to my friends and families to come and have amazing experience like us. I also will coming back again.

Wow.

First off - Nat. She’s amazing. She helped us and cared for us so much during our stay it felt like we were staying at our aunt's house. Her English is outstanding and her level of care was second to none. We were only there for 2 nights but sincerely wished we had more time there. We will definitely stay there again our next time in Thailand. Nat even arranged a local tour for us and changed the breakfast times to accommodate our weird schedule while we were there. Beds were a bit hard but honestly everything was so amazing it didn’t matter. Turn down service, local guides and overall hosting cannot compare. Highly recommend staying here. And get the chicken noodle soup for breakfast, delicious!

Beautiful resort in a natural setting!

We went to Chiang Mai for Lanna Sky Music Festival and were mainly focused on a convenient place between the festival location and the airport and stumbled across this place!

Setting is well integrated into the natural environment. Beautiful, well tended landscaping helps to create a peaceful surrounding where the gentle sounds of the wildlife are clear devote of any traffic or other noises.

Its a quick 15min ride by taxi/Grab between the airport and also to the city center. Food is fresh and organic with a well laid out breakfast included in the reservation. Wifi wasn’t the best, but functional. Staff were highly accommodating, friendly, and respectful. We really felt like we were staying with friends after our five nights there rather than at a hotel.

Bed was comfortable, we werent a fan of the pillows, but we didnt ask for alternatives as we were able to sleep so peacefully regardless.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a resort style experience but also an authentic nature inspired Thailand feel. Looking forward to coming back soon as a break away from Bangkok!

My family (3 kids under 6) stayed here at the Family Deluxe villa and were quite pleased. I've never been to Chiang Mai, so didn't know what to expect, but it's really \"touristy\" and while probably great for backpackers, it doesn't have enough \"open space\" for kids to wander. This hotel does. It has two small pools, with shallow areas for little kids, a playground that I wouldn't have thought would work, but did ---and a nice bit of green area that is a rice patty, snail breeding ground, chicken hangout..and it works. The team here is great. The area is a little outside the city (20 minutes from airport and 20 mins to 1 hr from center city, depending on time of day). Would probably rent a car next time from airport, but if you are into street and 'local' foods, this place is in a 'residential' area with small shanties and restaurants to find all the khao soi, ginger and fruit integrated foods. If we come back to Chiang Mia, we would all stay here. Much respect to their manager (Kobe?), Ms. Nat (one of the owners) and all the team trying to make this a sweet place for families (of which there were many from all over the world).

I didn't stay long, but the property is really pretty and the staff was so kind and welcoming. Before booking be sure to know what it is you want to do while in Chiang Mai, I didn't have trouble getting around thanks to Grab, but it is a little further out than I thought it would be (no fault of there's, I booked my excursions after I booked my hotel). The water features throughout the property make you feel like you've dropped in the middle of nature which is very peaceful after a busy day of exploring. The only downside was I had ants in my room. Not from anything that was left or unclean, the little buggers just kept coming in through the tiniest space in the window.

A beautiful small complex with dedicated staff. Although it is about 3 miles outside of Chiang Mai, it is well worth staying with beautiful gardens, pool and a lovely breakfast each day. The rooms are big and a range of toiletries are refreshed daily and the property is spotless. All of the staff are lovely and friendly and cannot do enough to help you relax. The hotel will provide a driver for your stay in Chiang Mai if needed. The trip into CM and back cost 500 Thai Bhat with a free pick up from the airport. Always clean and reliable cars on time. I could not recommend this highly enough. The owners were very attentive and on hand to discuss potential trips without any pressure to use their own services

Beautiful place in suburbs of Chiang Mai
We had a great 3-day stay at the family-run The Oriental Siam Resort in Chiang Mai. The property is designed with amazing details and maintained immaculately. We stayed in the Ninneth Premier Villa. The villa was comfortable and big enough to accommodate two twin beds and a queen bed for four of us. The staff is very helpful and attentive to take care of you. The breakfast is great and it was a good break from breakfast buffets that we have had for a week. They even packed breakfast for us on the day we were leaving since it was early in the morning!
The downtown is about 15 minutes taxi ride away and easily managed with some advanced planning. We ended up going to downtown for dinner since the menu is limited at the resort. There are few restaurants in a nearby mall. You have a few transportation options including Grab (Thailand's taxi app), the hotel's car, or taxis.

Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this place.

A warm-hearted hotel with a local touch

We had a fantastic stay at the Oriental Siam Resort. The trip was to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday and we (6 adults) stayed at the largest hut. The hotel owner, hotel manager and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. They arranged customised breakfasts for us every morning, greeted us with the warmest smiles and even spent extra effort to arrange a birthday ceremony for my mom with flowers and cakes! They also arranged transportation for us daily without the usual hotel commission compared to large hotels. The hotel itself has nice decorations with lots of beautiful flowers, ponds, and even a small farm. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a local and warm experience. The hotel is not located in the city centre, but it is only a short ride away. If I have to pick something bad about it, it would be the layout of the hut/apartment. I expected three bedrooms to be on the same floor and are more connected. However it was a two-floor setting. Also when all three rooms had shower at the same time, the room on the ground floor experienced cold shower. All in all it was a great experience.

What an experience!

Simply amazing experience at this hotel. They treated us like family and were practically tripping over themselves to serve us. The breakfast was amazing every morning. It's a little away from the Chiang mai city....but they have drivers for a small fee to drive you anywhere you want. The grounds are gorgeous and it's just really a special place to spend a vacation.

Impeccable Hospitality in Chiang Mai

We stayed at the Oriental Siam Resort in May 2016 and loved it. This is my favorite place to stay in all of Asia! I can barely describe the level of detailed personal touches, including this is a family run business, built on the land where the adult siblings (owners) grew up. Everything is done with the loving care you would expect from a business that supports an extended family. The grounds are so lush, the buildings created and crafted with care (I loved seeing the construction progress pictures), and the small number of villas (I think 11 total) make this the perfect getaway. If you like big hotel chains...this is not the place! The Oriental Siam Resort, from the fresh fruit juice drinks with which you're greeted upon arrival, to the morning (real!!) breakfast, to the help arranging fun things to do in the area is everything a big hotel chain isn't...and it's wonderful!
We hired their car & driver for most of our days there and found it really reasonable and enjoyed our driver so well that we invited him to join us on most of our excursions he took us to!
We had a two bedroom, two bath villa that fit our family of four just right.

The Perfect Place in Thailand

We stayed in a two bedroom/two bath villa at The Oriental Siam Resort. It was exactly what we were looking for, and worked perfectly for our family of four. The hospitality was unbelievably warm and gracious. The pancakes at breakfast were **AMAZING,** along with fresh fruits, etc. So awesome! We absolutely loved it. On the business side of things, the owners reached out to us via email to confirm everything before our arrival, so we were comforted everything was in order. I think that's the main difference between The Oriental Siam Resort and a big hotel--here you get completely personalized service and arrangements; whereas in hotels you're just a number.

very romantic hotel

very clean and romantic boutique hotel, water falls and ponds with water lilies, far from down town, they do have transportation for fees. the breakfast is from the menu, very limited. Do not recommend to eat there not too many choices. if you are looking for a very quite and not a big chain hotel with the this touch, this is the place. wonderful staff and beautiful quaint small hotel. will go back .

We stayed 3 nights here. It's a good hotel located outside of the city. The staff is very friendly. The hotel itself is lovely with a beautiful pond and a small swimming pool. Breakfast is pretty good with plenty of fresh fruits. We rented a car and we were glad. The location is far from everything. The taxi or the red truck may not come out this far. The hotel described that it is in a village, but it actually is in a housing complex. Nothing like a charming country life surrounded by rice paddy that a village should be. There is a very small plot of rice paddy next to the hotel. If you're looking to spend most of your time at a nice hotel, this will be a good choice for you.

Paradise in Chiang Mai.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is a paradise in Chiang Mai. We had dinner at the hotel three nights and breakfast every day. The hotel is a bit of a ways from old town Chiang Mai but it was only a short ride. In retrospect I think it was the best choice, we were away from downtown but also away from all the noise and commotion. We had a driver, provided by the hotel (at a small fee) that drove us everywhere we wanted to go. One bonus we did not expect, the hotel backs up to a Wat, and the locals have a market night nearly every night.

It's small resort, Breakfast is not good, veryday

location is far away from everything
although they have free transfer to close shopping centre, but that centre only has supermarket and few Resturant, nothing must to see.
I paid travel to 200 TBH center Chaingmai each way by Resort driver, tried to take taxi back but must taxi didn't want to take us, some asked 300-400 TBH one way, I had to call Resort and ask their driver to pick us up, long waiting time.
Breakfast was same everyday, becuase I can't have white bread for health reason, I asked for wholemeal bread and staff said \"Ok\" but still gave me white. must staff do not speak English or very poor in English. their tour dest only taking booking for private tour, cost 1800 THB to see Royal garden and winter palace (only for driving no guide or admin fees). 5000 THB to golden triangle (only taxi fee not guide or any admin fees)

It's a very warm and friendly resort. Beautiful garden, pool (but the water is a little bit sour)? Staffs are very nice except someone's English speaking is hard to understand. Quiet and privacy.. My daughter likes it very much. She said its very \"tropical\" and would like to come back again..

Beautiful hotel grounds

This was a beautiful boutique hotel hidden away from the busy city amongst gardens and waterfalls. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were always so attentive and caring. Although the language barrier could be an issue at times. The breakfast was to die for. With the absolutely ripest mango and flufiest crossants. Each room had their own sitting area and coffee and tea. It was a delight staying here. In addition, this was the first hotel we had stayed at in Thailand which had all the American channels, which normally I don't care about but I had become sick at the start of our stay here and it was nice to be able to relax and watch TV.

Fantastic in Every Way!

This hotel is a charming sanctuary in a hidden garden. I recommend upgrading to a casita where you have your own cottage. It is absolutely perfect!

The meals for both breakfast and dinner were fantastic too!

BTW, they include a transport van from the airport which will save you a lot of money.

This place is a gem and the staff treat you like family.

Lastly, the small adjacent temple was very cool too!

Very comfortable hotel that was Really relaxing after the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The hotel is not right in Chiang Mai but maybe a 10 minute cab ride away. The old city of Chiang Mai (where many of the sights are) is busy and hot and the Oriental Siam Resort is a welcome oasis after a day of site seeing or a few days of trekking!

Great hotel but to far away...

The staff is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was great. The room was beautiful. BUT if you are in Chaing Mai to see Chaing Mai then this is too far away. A lot of the red trucks won't take you out there and the traffic is so horrible that it takes longer than you'd think. If you are booking tours, they will not pick you up as it is outside of the city. IF however you plan to hang out at the resort all day then I would totally recommend it.
