The hotel was in an excellent position for walking along the beautiful beach, local restaurants and catching the bus to all attractions. The staff were helpful and the food at breakfast (self service buffet) and evening meal (Both à la carte and set meal) was value for money and reasonable choice. The room was basic. A partial sea view was a slight overstatement as you had to stand or kneel on the bed. It was reasonably clean with basic amenities. Spare pillows were dirty and needed a wash. Quiet but not comfortable.

Check in was efficient, all staff very friendly, breakfast was very good with lots of choices, food served in evening in the bar was good too. Room was very nice, glad we paid the extra for the sea view as it was lovely to sit and look out at. Nice that it has a pool and jacuzzi and steam room, but prepare yourself before getting into the pool as it was very cold! We picked this hotel over others in the area because of the easy walk into St Helier and the free onsite parking but the spaces out the front of the hotel are limited and some spaces are too small to fit cars in properly and you can end up being blocked in. On our first day a lot of the parking was taken up by staff parking. There is a small overflow car park around the corner but again limited spaces.
All said and done we would recommend the hotel and stay there again

Lovely hotel and great value. Swimming pool was cold and sauna was under maintenance which was a shame. Some places in hotel where been painted and rhe smell was atrong. But it was out of season so these jobs need doing. Breakfast choice is very good, lots of continental and a full english. Drinks in the bar were expwnsive. All staff helpful and always quuck to clean the plates etc.

The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together and one was higher than the other, meaning the bed was not level.
Cleanliness, we found a couple of things that were an issue.
Staff were kind and helpful.
You can hear everything that's going on around you, people walking and the corridor.

We stayed for a week while visiting family and there was an excellent breakfast choice and also excellent dining menu if required. We were staying in a room at the back of the hotel which was a lovely room, only fault would be it was warm in the room without any heating on so we had the window open during the night and had some noise from air conditioning units/oil heating units turning on and off during the night. Would definitely recommend to stay here. Transport links from the airport is easy with buses for less than £3 or a taxi for approx £30

Newly refurbished rooms, staff lovely, pleasant, comfortable stay, apart from the double glazed window in room, which was gapping and didn't keep out the noise from the extractor fans. Needs fixed. Made staff aware of this and they offered to change rooms, but, we were happy to stay put. Rooms held the heat so wasn't too much of a problem. Window still needs sorted though. Room 91. Cobweb dust on every corner of ceiling, so, although room adequate, needs properly cleaned. Enjoyed our stay though and would return. Good location.

Lovely hotel with a warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable with a sparkling bathroom and everything just as you would want it.

Varied and plentiful breakfast. We also used the restaurant for an evening meal and the food we ordered was delicious, an excellent live saxophonist playing as we ate. Will definitely return.

The room was wonderful. The food was good and the staff were always helpful, friendly and polite. The bathroom in our room was a little old fashioned and the shower had to be hand held. However, this was not really a problem. Everything else was so good, that honestly, a tiny problem like that was nothing really. Would come again to this lovely hotel.

Stayed at this property 10 years ago and did so once again. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful. Bus stop nearby if one doesn't want to walk 15 minutes into St. Helier. Rooms are a bit outdated but comfortable. Nice area to lock up a bike, too.

The place on the whole was just really nice, all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, credit to the reception staff, the service was impeccable! The breakfast was lovely with a great choice, the bar clean and cosy and added bonus of the upstairs terrace! Food was great too on the couple of occasions we ate there! My room was small but cosy and clean with a comfortable bed so all good! Didn’t get the name of the reception staff but the little one was lovely and helpful in arranging so we didn’t have to move rooms for our extra night stay so thank you ☺️

It was an average hotel, this was the last of 5 hotels of a bigger trip and it was very very basic. The water for the bath and and shower were luke warm at best, the pool changing rooms were tiny and overcrowded with people actually getting changed in the corridor outside the changing room. The jacuzzi was open but was not working. Poorly catered for vegans. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the hotel is a 15 minute walk to town and opposite the beautiful beach.

The room we were in had been renovated just a bit if a squeeze bur was wekk equiped. The breakfast was good quality and fir the first time I found an hoiel toaster that actually did the job in 1 go.
The evening meal was also great value and copious amounts
Had a problem with noise from the room underneath but sorted by night porter after my unsuccessful request at 2am! This was dealt with on checkout as well.

Arrived at the hotel for a birthday weekend for me and the hubby, staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are one of the main reasons we booked the hotel and didn’t disappoint had it to ourselves most of the weekend. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice from continental- cereal, fruit, ham, cheese etc and then a gorgeous full English breakfast.
Would highly recommend this hotel close to amenities and lovely views of the sea with a pub attached to the hotel but a nicer one across the road will definitely be back

I liked the location. The bus stop was right outside the Hotel door and the service was very good. The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Great choice. Only minor complaint was the shower. Not very powerful, obviously due to poor water pressure. Definitely would return though.

Loved the friendly & helpful staff at reception & restaurant. Bar food was delicious & well presented. Pool & sauna were great. Good location, across from beach & bus stop across the road from hotel.
Areas for improvement- no food service available from breakfast until bar opens at 5pm apart from limited prepacked sandwiches, crisps etc.
Pool & sauna area is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility, narrow stairs, no hand rails and wet floors. Also high doorstop at door between games room and ground floor rooms. This is dangerous.
All of above easy remedied!!
Signage required in short term.

This was our first trip to Jersey with our 2 year old daughter. The staff were lovely with her and made her feel very welcome.
The reception, bar area and restaurant are decorated lovely. The room was a little outdated but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, an amazing range of both cold and hot food options.
Good location directly across from the beach, car park was tight but we got a space everyday. Might be busier in peak seasons.
Overall a lovely stay would definitely return.

Very nice hotel, a 10 minute walk from St Helier. The room was bright, clean and spacious with tea making facilities. The beds were comfortable and the room had a good heater when needed. There was lots of choice for breakfast including a full English. The bar and restaurant area were tastefully decorated and the evening meal was lovely. I would recommend this hotel.

Quite the maze. !

Staff were very nice especially Rodney in bar. The direction and route to rooms was incredible and not in a good way - tough if depending on lifts or have much baggage.

While it was clear a lift was available it did not actually get you to your room. It would have been nice to know beforehand but also would probably mean we would have not have stayed.

Breakfast was varied enough but a bit pressured to finish for 9:30 No lazy coffee morning then. We had breakfast for 3 days but only decided to have on one day.

Location is excellent. All in all we would probably stay again but with less luggage as the maze like tour to rooms is quite an issue.

All things considered, we had a great stay at the Normandie, would recommend, and would return.

Check in was friendly and efficient. All the staff we met were friendly and hard working.

Room 15 was a good size with a big bathroom; clean and well presented, and featured two comfy single beds pushed together. I don’t understand the other negative reviews about the rooms; ours was fine. Wifi was fast and worked well within the rooms.

We paid the small extra charge for breakfast each day and were grateful for it; the breakfast was very good in both selection and quality of ingredients. The times were also generous, with breakfast being available until 0930 weekdays and 1000 on weekends. The price of food and drink in Jersey is quite expensive, so would recommend paying the small amount extra for breakfast at this hotel.

Fortunately, the August bank holiday weekend wasn’t the hottest as the room was already quite warm. Although equipped with a fan, it was very noisy and did not provide much of a breeze. Recommend the hotel invests in some air conditioning.

As stated at the start of the review, we enjoyed our stay, would return, and do recommend. Thanks to all the staff for their contributions to our great stay.

Good location on the coast road. Bus stops right outside the hotel, 5 minutes ride into the centre of St Helier. Places to eat very close by. Breakfast good, didn't eat in the hotel in the evening so can't comment. Room could do with a bit of an update, also our room was too warm overnight, however, there was a free standing fan.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and fairly priced. All normal hotel facilities were very good, We were using local busses and all bus routes go to and from St Helier which makes it a critical location to be able to easily access. The hotel is on a frequent bus route to St Helier, and would be only a ten minute walk. Overall, I think it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
