The floor had sticky residues from previous travelers. They have smoking buckets outside of the door that stink like old smoking buckets. This smell, which I detest permeates the room. The windows have no screens so you can't air out the room.

I don't normally leave this kind of review, but this was among the worst rooms I've stayed in 50 years.

This place was disgusting and filthy. Unattended office, junk cars in the parking lot and smoke smell everywhere. We took one look at the room and drove to Leavenworth for a place to stay. Do NOT stay here or make a reservation through Hotels.com. The reviews have been rigged somehow. They have \"no refund\" signs everywhere. I am hoping my credit card company or Hotels.com can get me a refund. They would not let me look at the room until I paid. ...should have been a clue.

The front desk was deserted and when called a man grunted something indicating he'd be there momentarily. He was. And then he checked us in without a single word, very slowly. The card machine was barely running. The property is rough and seems to be largely occupied by more permanent tenants. Outside it smells a little of the ashtrays provided. Room was large, with a small sitting area and kitchenette with a microwave and a full size fridge. Television set up was weird, right in the middle of the room. Air conditioner was *filthy*. The entire floor sloped. The toilet wasn't sealed to the floor. The king bed was in the corner of the room and the pillows were strategically placed to hide scuffs (and maybe dirt?) feom.what obviously used to be some kind of frame or headboard. Bed was pretty comfortable but I did not trust the linens based on the rest of the property. No bed bugs but severe staining of the mattress (to be expected but there didn't seem to now be a protector of any kind between the fitted sheet and the mattress). And there was no smoke alarm - the wiring had been covered up by a round of masking tape, presumably from painting, but never replaced.

All for $130 which felt outrageous. I couldn't even bear to sleep there. I left at like 3 am when I realized I was too uncomfortable to sleep.

The manager was not helpful, the rules to cancel are not reasonable. We attempted to cancel our request 3hrs after booking and were told we would still get charged. Even with the “global insurance” they recommended to get which we did, you have to upload multiple documents supporting your claim. I will be more mindful next time when a hotel has this cancelation policy, making sure not to book.

Check-in was very slow. We would have liked to stay in the room pictured in the ad.... we did not. The floor was very uneven and not carpet as shown in the ad photo. There was no sink in the kitchen. We needed ice in the morning for the traveling home, but it was locked up and didn't open till 9. We won't be staying there again.

The room smelled horrible of cigarettes and did not really match the photos listed. The floor hadn’t been swept, the toilet had been left used and unflushed with grime all over the seat, holes and stains on the bedding. I’d recommend staying anywhere else unless they drop their prices down to $50 a night it wouldn’t be worth it.

I’ll start by saying I have stayed in a lot of “budget” motels throughout the US, Mexico, Central America, and SE Asia. I am by no means a snob.

Considering the cleanliness and condition of the room, I wouldn’t pay more than $50 Even then, I might prefer sleeping in my car. 150 dollars is absolutely insane.

Booked through Expedia and when I tried to check in the clerk let me know he wasn’t happy about booking through third party because they take a percentage. He couldn’t get his cc reader to work so after about 10 minutes of that I paid cash. He “upgraded” my room for the inconvenience.

The bedding was noticeably stained so I chose to sleep on top. Thank goodness I had my own sleeping bag and a pillow with me.

The floor and base boards had what appears to be black mold. The bathtub was so soft I thought I might fall through the ceiling into the restaurant below.

I know this isn’t the hotels fault, but the house next door has dogs that barked non stop throughout the night, luckily the trains going by drowned that out occasionally. Overall bad experience and waste of money.

Positives: full sized fridge and there’s microwave. Air conditioner worked. I checked in too late but there is a Thai restaurant on the property. Parking is free and convenient. Aside from the lecture for booking through Expedia, the staff was friendly enough. I don’t think there are bed bugs.

King size bed against wall. We both have mobility issues and having to climb in and out from bottom of bed was a pain. Also extra high and hard for ANYONE under 5'4\" to sit or get into bed. When main door was closed, it gapped to the outside at the bottom. Thankfully the outside temp was around 50 degrees or it could have been a COLD night. Toilet tank wobbled and very low to floor

Probably the worst-kept motel in America. rooms were extremely dirty. The bathrooms you could not even walk in. Because of the dirt on the floors, the furniture was completely outdated and broken, the heater was not working both the window and wall unit. There was no heat at night. The windows were busted and broken. I have stayed in better hotels in third world countries for a fraction of the cost. this did not feel like I was in America. The standards were almost non existant both cleanliness and safety. I would like to request a full refund because no one should be charged over a $100.For a stay like this I have pictures available if needed

One room was filthy boogers on the walls hole in the ceiling then they moved me the tv didn’t work and shower water wasn’t working then they moved me the third day again and the toilet didn’t work and I asked for a refund on the first day all the man says is contact Expedia so that’s what I did. I’m typically pretty lenient on the places I stay but this was just too much. Oh and I’m pretty sure that the little wall heaters they have are not rated for the square footage in the hotel so yes expect to be cold if your staying there in the winter through the night because it takes a good 6 hours to heat the room. And the only soft nice beds they have is in there single king size room. If you read this your welcome.

In a nutshell, the place is a dump. The door was barely held on by hinges and did not fit right so flies and noise came through easily. The toilet tank took two hours to refill. The smoke alarm was missing. The only lamp did not work. Everything was dirty or had not been cleaned in a while.
All I can stay is stay away. We had a two night reservation and left after one night. We told the owner about everything and all he would say was, \"You'll have to deal with Hotels.com, which is how we reserved it.
If I could upload pictures I would but let me state that the picture they show is nothing like what you get. There is no kitchen. Just a fridge. The two chairs are garbage.

I booked a stay here and there website on the expedia app said check in times 3pm -5pm no late check ins... which I assumed was a typo.
I called to be sure and said my ETA and the guy said it was ok. I called back a second time to be sure there was no language barrier and they assured me They would be there... When I got there, the man at the front desk said they had no rooms and they had given my room away because the person I had talked to didn't relay the message. The guy tried to offer me a bed in the maids cleaning room that wasn't even made and that didn't lock from the inside where it connected to the storage room. At that time, all the hotels were booked in the surrounding towns and I had to drive over an hr to the Seattle area to get a hotel and my hiking plans were ruined the next day (which was the whole point of the stay)

Serviceable Setting Passes St Steven

Although the proprietor was generally helpful, one felt secondary to the filled vacancy. The room's floor was slanted a bit towards the bathroom which had a blown circuit for the sink light and outlet. The top sheet was sideways giving me a shortshrift, toes uncovered beneath the comforter. The wall clock was non functional and room landline phone was non-existent. But the view of the surrounding mountain range was spectacular. The Thai restaurant next door was convenient and satisfying. Plus the nearby state park was easy to reach. If fixed and the resident guests depart a good stop before you go backwoods.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom window did not lock and the room had old odds and ends for furniture. Walls were terribly thin and could hear the neighbors on both sides (who both obviously live there). Neighbors closest to headboard were shouting and their TV was loud most of the night. Lots of bugs in the bathroom. Was able to mostly drown out noise with bathroom fan. If I had paid $40 for the room, I maybe would've accepted it all but $110 is a lot to swallow for this overnight. Check-in lady was very nice and there was a full sized refrigerator available. Shower was newer and hot water was great.

By far the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in. There was duct tape over the sprinkler, duct tape over the bottom of the door (assuming to keep the draft out… it didn’t), the white pillowcase was yellowed, the finish on the vanity was peeling off, the flooring was coming up at the corners… we stayed, we slept there for the night, but we won’t go back. I’m sure some people would think it’s fine, but it just didn’t feel very safe. We woke up to no running water and were required to postpone our morning bathroom activities until we got up to the mountain, 45 minutes away.

The door and frame was splintered and had obviously been kicked in more than once. The smoke alarm was not only ripped off the ceiling but the exposed wiring was dangling. The entire place was filthy, not only dirt, there appeared treshly dried blood on the floor near the bed. The sign in the room said no smoking but there was half a used cigars on the windowsill. The rooms smelled like a combination of mildew, cigarettes and putrid sewer when the toilet was flushed - it wobbled if you tried to sit on it and wasn’t fully screwed to the floor, the bedspread was soiled and disgusting. There wasn’t any trim around the window a/c so ants, flies and creepy crawlers were continually coming in, not to mention, if both the tv & a/c were turned on at the same time it blew a fuse and we had to hunt down management. Again, I have photos to back up these claims. The motel is unsafe and disgusting. We arrived late and there weren’t any other options at that point. We slept in our clothes on but may have been safer just sleeping in the car. I prepaid when I made the reservation but at check-in, the clerk insisted on running my card. Pretty sure I was double charged, which I will be disputing. Never, EVER book a room at Stevens Pass Motel

The property is in dire need of updating. There was a terrible old musty smell in the office. The chairs were terribly dirty, and other than the microwave and TV, everything needed to be updated and replaced. On the plus side, the floors appeared newer and the sheets looked clean. Our son got blankets from the car and slept on top of the bed. He was sketched out by the accommodations. I would drive farther to stay somewhere nicer.

Room large. Kitchenette. You need your own silverware. I stayed here after DJing an event. All restaurants in the area were closed when I checked in. Evidently the staff were having a party at the time and offered me some BBQ, rice and beans! It was delicious and I woke up the next morning fresh and ready to drive to my next gig. 5 stars for hospitality and friendly staff. Motel is older and amateur remodel, however it was clean and no weird smells. Mattresses were a little tired, but so was I. And my over all experience was great!

Room was significantly overpriced and in nearly untenable condition. At least the beds, bedsheets, pillows were clean and made. Hello,

1. The door to the room is coming off the hinges. Like the door literally is falling off the frame. And the room numbers are the same color as the trim, good luck finding your room if you're color blind.
2. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Or under the sink or anywhere. It's cool...I dont need socks.
3. There was was water damage all over the room, the bathroom, the kitchen, EVERYWHERE. The paper tape on the ceiling is coming off everywhere.
4. It's right next to train tracks which you think would be cool right? NOPE. The trains go through at all hours and I promise you will not sleep. Just like that movie Cousin Vinny.
5. The beds are rock hard, the pillows smell like mildew, and the bedding is stained or torn in multiple places.
6. The shower was a special little corner of hell. The faucet knob goes 360 degrees so you have no idea how to get the hot water.
6A. When you finally do get slightly warm water after 14 mins of standing there it jumps between polar ice water and water that is slightly hotter than what they use to torture prisoners of war with.
For 135$ a night I expected a little better. Not the Ritz obviously, but not this. Super disappointed, delirious from lack of sleep and my back hurts.

Upon arrival the clerk acted like we were an inconvenience, checking her phone and talking to someone in another room. We wanted downstairs room, but it smelled like old smoke so we changed to upstairs room. She made excuses about the smell saying the place was 100 years old, but it didn't matter. The upstairs room was a lot newer but reeked of disinfectant, we had the feeling someone had just moved out so we could stay the night, There were dirty clothes in a drawer, no hot water just warm, batteries dead in remote, coffee pot provided but was filthy and the burner plate was dirty and rusty. and no security lock on the door. Best part about our stay was the restaurant downstairs.

We had homeless druggies next to us nodding off in chairs outside of their room, fluorescent lighting perfect for migraines, the toilet had a scum ring that defied gravity goldfish ( crackers) on the floor, no toilet paper, no shampoo, conditioner no soap..the bed was sprung badly, ( both ) had lightweight sheets only, (it dropped to 40 last night) Saturday night the bar below woke us up Everytime some disgruntled patron left with the police that chased them down, that with the ambience of the train coming by every hour rounded out our stay. Everything you'd except for a 30 dollar motel for a hundred bucks

Bait and switch.

Horrible Motel.
I never expect much from these roadside accomodations, so usually overlook any unpleasantries because the service almost always makes up for it. Not here man. I picked this place because it said it was pet friendly and charged $10 per pet. Seemed like a deal. I have 2 well behaved dogs and always go out of my way to make any clean up minor.
I'd call that $10 fee the bait because when I got there it fast became $30 per. I let the woman know about the discrepancy. She brought an older man into the conversation. He said they do not use Hotels.com. So that was odd. After some back and forth we settled on a $30 pet fee with a $30 cash deposit, in case of damage, that I could retrieve when I returned the key. There was no receipt for the deposit (red flag #2). I was confident they would be pleased with the room when I left.
Things I would normally overlook about the room... no map (took a while to find the room in the dark) no wi-fi password, no instructions on how to use the tv, water fixtures were loose and difficult to manage, no toilet paper! and someone else's food was in the fridge.
Here's the switch.
Next morning nobody would answer the office bell. Apparently front desk lady is also housecleaning. When I found her I was told there would be no deposit return. I needed an explanation so she dragged me back to point at 2 things. Used towels in the tub and some dog hair on the bed. No damage. Then she told me I was gross.
Opposite of hospitality.

Got there and the picture was not even the same as the actual place. There were mattresses out on the balcony that were stained and disgusting. The pictures shown online is not even the same as what the actual place looks like. They wanted $155 to stay there. The check in lady was highly rude and took my money out of my account before I even checked in. I ended up not staying at all. Found a cheaper and WAY better place that’s close to the town. In Monroe, WA, Evergreeen Inn, it’s way cheaper and much more clean.

Location was great for a single day trip to Steven's Pass skiing. The restaurant was just what we needed and the nearby Bubba's cafe had the breakfasts everyone wants and needs.

Bed was good, down comforter nice. 2 closets but no hangers nor a bar to hang them on. Not one hook in the whole place. TV was old with fuzzy picture. Nice microwave and refrigerator. Very small coffee maker. Only place to sit was a small couch with a few holes. Only table was a shabby-chic coffee table. Only sink was a tiny one in the bathroom. They took dogs so that was good.

While well located if going to ski, for the price paid the facility it is dated and kind of worn and not that clean (cobwebs etc). Sheets had holes, coffee machine lacked the paper filters and cups, TV from like 1972 at a crazy angle and cables in mish mash. I dislike complaining but at $100, it should not have been this way. Room was very large however, parking convenient.

I thought this place was a dump. I stayed in the one story part which may be worse than the 2 story part. The carpet was dirty, the TV sat on a dresser with one drawer missing, the bed was such that if you rolled near the edge, you could fall out of bed. The single wash cloth looked like a cleaning rag--I have a picture. It was over priced. I have stayed in much nice rooms for less. It had a great dog walking area and the person at the front desk was very nice.The floor was so uneven I was afraid I might get off balance and fall in the night.There were spongy areas in the floor. I would never, never stay here again.

If all you need is a soft place to sleep

Biggest issue was the linens were stained, had hair in them, and numerous burn holes. Luckily, our stay was during a larger camping trip so we had our sleeping bags to cover the supplied bedding.

TV, which we honestly didn't need, is an old tube TV. If TV is important to you, this might be a problem. Also, if the image is staticky, be sure to tighten the cables.

Shower handle was more or less non-functional. Took me around 10 minutes to get the water anywhere between scalding and freezing.

The staff was nice and there were no bugs so that's good.

Be sure to pay in cash to save 12%.
