Worst stay by far. Super rude, unprofessional and underachieving teenage front desk workers. The place is really nasty and suspect. The “hotel” crawls with security yet it’s still feels so unsafe. It’s looks like a detention facility.

Also, the staff won’t assign you a room at the desk. They tell you they’ll email you the information and then they don’t send the info. Check in time is 4PM and they didn’t contact me until 8PM.

Currently in work with Expedia to have this place delisted, I was scammed out of a room and nobody else should have to go through this.

After reporting it, Expedia called them and asked for confirmation to which they were disrespected and told to “email the manager”. This place has real loser workers and hopefully Expedia will take note and remove this place.

The town itself is tiny with just a few casinos and gas stations. However, Cactus Pete’s seems to be the largest business in town. As a result it is well laid out with a couple of restaurants, a pool and hot tub and very spacious rooms.

I did not like the room at the horseshoe hotel. It was dirty filling and the bed fell apart. Got upgraded to Catus Pete hotel and it was ok. However, the maid service wasn't good. They never took the used towels out and replaced them. I had to call and ask for them and then they never brought any wash rags. Very disappointed in it.

I didn’t know the casino was across the street. That’s my fault. I am in a wheelchair and had to wheel across the street every time I wanted to go to the casino. I tried to get a room in the casino, but it was impossible without a $250 charge extra and $15 per night amenity fee. It just sucked. The rooms were musty smelling, but clean. They were also pretty small and I had to keep my wheelchair outside because there wasn’t space and there were no wheelchair amenities. The staff was pleasant and quick to answer. That was a sweet thing.

There needs to be more attention paid to making potential guests aware there are 2 properties, one being across the highway. I would have been the only car on that side, so ended up parking on the casino side and walking across the highway to feel better about my vehicle. Asked the front desk if I could relocate to the casino side and was given a rate just short of $50 so declined. The interior stairs on the other side of the highway looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in months, and the floors on the 2nd level sounded as if they were going to collapse. Room was clean, but to call it dated is a large understatement. I understand you get what you pay for. This is my 3rd time staying here, first time shoved to the other side, will not stay again.

We stayed at the Horseshu Hotel. Although the room had no refrigerator or microwave, it was clean and furnished okay. The overall property is run down and not maintained. I explained to the clerk that my husband uses a walker and asked for a ground floor room. We were put on the 3rd floor but there was an elevator, however, if you climb the stairs to get to the front door there are 2 flights of stairs to go up to get to the elevator after you get inside. If you drive around to the back door, there are steps to go down from the parking lot to get to the door. This was not explained to us. The sign at the street is not lit and the property is hard to find unless you get good directions from the hotel desk at Cactus Pete's. The overall condition on the outside makes this look like an abandoned property. There were not a dozen cars in the parking lot and to walk the halls inside, it appeared no one was there. The price was reasonable and the room satisfactory but the overall feeling of the property was not good. We would not stay there again. I feel the clerk at Cactus Pete's could have explained the layout to us better than she did. When I mentioned the sign for the Horseshu Hotel was not lit, the clerk at Cactus Pete's said, oh yeah we need to get that fixed.

Great value hotel, stopped on our way thru Jackpot for a night and were pleasantly surprised. Food options were limited but it was a weekday and the option available offered a good variety of choices and reasonable prices. We even got a 50% off of first $20 spent at the resturant. ($10) Veterans get several nice perks at the Casino and staff showed genuine appreciation for our service. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Only minor complaint was that we had to drag our suitcase thru the casino but it wasn't too far. We will make every attempt to schedule our trips to stop here again.

The gentleman who checked us in was super nice, but missed providing us with details such as what floor our room was at, and where the elevators where at. I had to ask him. Our room was for the most part clean. The bathroom was the dirtiest. Hairs in the sink and toilet. Toilet also had some tinkle that was missed being cleaned. Good thing I always carry lysol wipes! Our shower also had some issues. When switching to shower mode, there was still a lot of water coming out of the tub faucet. Like a lot. Both shower head and tub faucet had some good pressure which was very odd, but was scared we would cause a flood with water coming out of the shower head and tub faucet becuase drainage was slow.

Property does seem a little run down, but overall, I would stay here again. Room was quiet and beds were surprisingly comfy. Its was fine for the 1 night was stayed.

I know the cost was about half of Cactus Pete’s main hotel. I didn’t expect how run down and unmanaged this place would be. You have to check in across the street , no staff at all. The halls were smoke filled and just over all dirty. The hot tub was non existent. I would recommend paying more and staying at the main Cactus Pete’s.

Check in and played machines till 415am, couldnt remember room number, and staff was on break, and the gentleman who was covering the front desk had no way too tell me what room i was in until staff got back at 5am. I had proper i.d., but i had no phone on me to ask my husband , who was sleeping.

Room is from the 60s, tv channels come in and out with an outdated TV that has 10 channels total and not a way to access apps so it's hell when the kids are winding down. Room was dusty and wallpaper peeling. Quiet hours were 10-8 we got a call at 820 PM for footsteps and another at 915 both prior to calm down time and there really wasn't anything to complain about. It claims microwave but it's all the way down stairs in the casino. Check in was also hectic. Never stay again. Staff was nice though.

There was no hot tub and no breakfast at the Horseshu Hotel. But there were 27 STEPS! !!! UP to get to my so called 1st floor room. When I went all the way back to Cactus Pete's to complain about the steps and no elevator I was informed that I could choose to drive up around back and could use that back entrance. Then there were only 7 steps down.
