Beautiful property and lovely rooms. Staff very helpful but I had an issue with being charged for my room even though it was prepaid via Expedia. It took four phone calls to get the correct person to take care of the issue after I checked out. This probably isn’t a normal issue for most guests. There is free coffee in room which is best to use as the hotel restaurant was understaffed so best to relax and don’t expect to rush through breakfast.

Housekeeping was on point and room was immaculate.

When I got into the room, I could tell that the room wasn’t clean. Soap all over in the shower, something brown running down the side of the toilet…..everyone has an idea on what it is, and the ac unit had a hard time keeping the room clean. The staff was great to fix the volume on the tv, hdmi input failed on the tv. Don’t get me wrong but I love the hotel, just was disappointed this trip.

We enjoyed 2 nights at this lovely Royal Park Hotel. We had a wonderful spacious corner room that we 100% appreciated. The floor plan was great & we loved all the bright windows. Housekeeping did a great job & we had a bellmen, Chris who did a great job & thoroughly took care of us, delivering extras we asked for. We definitely would return this hotel if we come back in the future.

I have been to this hotel several times to eat, but never to stay overnight. This time I stayed overnight. Check-in was friendly and quick. The room was a very average room, very basic. Quite honestly, the room felt like it could use a makeover. I don’t have much to say about the room in that regard. It just felt somewhat dated. The girl at the check-in told me that the Wi-Fi password would be in the room, but there was no information at all about the password. I wanted to order room service and there was absolutely zero information in the room regarding that. I had to go on the website and figure out how to order from the restaurant. I did end up going to the restaurant for dinner, the service was good and the meal I had was very good. Interestingly, because I had an early dinner, I went back to my room and ended up ordering in for a late night meal. I ordered in from the same restaurant I had dinner, park 600, and it was very underwhelming. I ordered the duck, and most of the meat was fat, and the rest of the accompaniment seemed overcooked. This was a very different experience from dining in. In the morning after I checked out, I went to the restaurant for breakfast. I was seated and sat there over 20 minutes and no one came so I left. Overall, I was quite disappointed in the experience and was quite surprised by this as I had extremely high hopes based on all my previous visits to this property. For the price, I would not recommend.

Property is pretty and rooms are appointed beautifully. The shower looked a bit unloved, grout was dirty like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in some time. Front desk staff was professional though lacking customer service. From my experience staying at other hotels at the same price point, the level of customer service was underwhelming.
I visited the restaurant on site, Park 600, and received the opposite in customer service. The bartender (Erika?) was wonderful! She was welcoming, engaging, took care of everyone. Mixed delicious drinks. The food I ordered was sub par.
While I think the hotel is beautiful, I will stay somewhere else next time I’m in town.

The facility is beautiful, however, the service is very poor. We were quite disappointed. It took so long to get our food at the hotel restaurant. Also, there wasn't a microwave in our room so we called the front desk and requested a microwave and utensils and plates. A staff brought the microwave but not utensils and plates. We asked about the utensils and plates and the staff said he didn't know. He said he will get it. After twenty minutes, we called the front desk and she said they will bring it up. No one brought it up. So disappointed and such poor service.

I must say, I had an amazing and relaxing stay at Royal Park. The pictures truly don’t do it justice; the property is absolutely beautiful, picturesque, and incredibly charming. It’s located in a quaint area and manages to feel both luxurious and cozy at the same time. The staff was wonderful; everyone was so kind and welcoming. I had breakfast at Park 600, and it was excellent. The portions were very generous, and the Peach Palmer drink was absolutely delicious. My room was excellent as well. The creek view was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Although the hotel was very busy, especially in the lobby with multiple events taking place, you would never know it once upstairs in the room. It was quiet, serene, and I slept like a baby. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and housekeeping was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall pampered experience. I loved every bit of my stay here. Next time, I’ll definitely take advantage of the valet parking just to elevate the pampering experience even more. I traveled to Rochester from Massachusetts for a graduation, and after all the festivities, I genuinely looked forward to returning to the hotel each night. Wonderful place, oh and the lobby smells divine!

We already paid the $22.10 fee when we made the booking and your staff confirmed that. The front desk staff told me they would resolve it with Expedia and that we would not be charged twice. Despite that, we were charged both by Expedia and by your hotel.

We stay at your property several times each year and have consistently chosen it over other options. This experience does not reflect the level of service we expect.

Please reverse the duplicate charge as soon as possible. I would also like a manager to call me tomorrow to confirm this has been resolved.

I hope this can be corrected quickly.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. From the concierge to wait staff and housekeeping, everyone was friendly and very attentive. Our room was pristine and refreshed/restocked daily. We stayed in a large balcony king overlooking the river. So relaxing having a cup of coffee in the morning and glass of wine at night listening to the river! We also attending a bridal shower in the conservatory and the set-up was beautiful. The staff helping with the event were great as well.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Royal Park Hotel and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The property has a refined, boutique feel with elegant décor, warm wood accents, and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Beautiful property, kind staff. Loved having room service and breakfast on property. Not a 5 star due to a long wait at check in. We arrived at 4pm, they appeared to have a difficult reservation in front of us but since there was only one staff member for 15 mins we waited. Finally a second staff member got us checked in. We reserved a room with a terrace, it was beautiful but if you want any sleep at all, you can't have a windy night. We were shoving pieces of cardboard into the exterior door to help seal the door better so it wasn't howling inside.

The room was clean, but the sink didn't drain. Bed was not comfortable, you could feel the springs. An hour prior to checkout a staff member opened the door, did not knock, and said hello and the left. I went to look who came by and I could see the lady walking down the hall. I wasn't about to shout down the hall to see what she needed. They also tack on an automatic charge of $16 per day at checkout. I've stayed here before and after the renovations. The cleanliness has not changed, but the character is gone. Honestly, it just felt like a standard chain hotel. I like to stay there because of the security, but after a staff member opened my door without knocking, I'll try a different hotel next time. I did notify them at checkout and about the sink, the response was dismissive.

Our stay overall was great, and Alvin truly turned our experience around.

Prior to check-in, I called the concierge to ask if there was anything I could arrange to make my husband’s birthday a little extra special. I completely understand that enhancements come at a cost, but the tone of the conversation felt unexpectedly uncomfortable. I was repeatedly reminded of charges (such as $60 for prosecco in the room), and the interaction left me feeling as though I was asking for complimentary items rather than inquiring about available options. It simply felt off.

That said, once we arrived, Alvin delivered exactly the kind of hospitality I was hoping for. He was warm, kind, and solution-oriented. He suggested a room upgrade, which I happily paid for, and helped make the celebration feel special. He also provided drink and breakfast vouchers to help us celebrate, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Alvin was 10/10. If it weren’t for him, I’m not sure we would have chosen to return — but because of his service, we absolutely would.

All the handicapped parking was blocked off and used by the valet for two groups / parties at the hotel. This is unacceptable. I have a heart condition and made the valet move a car so I could park up front. To add insult to injury I was charged $30 for valet parking overnight. This was not my first stay at the Royal Park. But it may be my last.
