I would suggest spending money elsewhere. My room had the worst bed I have ever in my life slept on. Bathroom super tiny and then everything is wet for ages. I was going to bed and noted my sock soles had turned black from the floors that I just through them out and the cleaned the floor with one of the very thin towels. No chair on the balcony nor a safe in the room. The washing machine was the saver to this room. I changed to this one and would suggest you dont. This is not a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in cleaner and comfier hostels than this place. Location was decent and staff nice for sure.

The room I booked was spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel location was very good as it was very near to Namdaemun market and Myeongdong. Reception staff Mr Daniel was courteous and helpful throughout the stay. Instructions for aircon were in Korean, and despite help with Google Translate, I had some difficulty adjusting the temperature. Perhaps there could be English instructions as well. That would be helpful.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent in that it's extremely close to the Airport bus stop and two metro starions (different lines), as well as untold restaurants, cafes and convenience stores.

Check-in was quick and easy, and my room was perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was spacious, and had everything I could need (including a washing machine). The bed is on the firm side, but I got used to it. I slept well as the room had good insulation and heating/cooling.

All up, excellent value for money and I felt 100% safe at all times, in both the neighbourhood and the hotel. I would highly recommend.

Its in a very convenient spot for shopping in Seoul. I styed alone in full size bed, good enough for two person. Has big sink, LG styler, washing machine-very good condition, dryer in the basement. Full size fridge and freezer. I am very satisfied with facility and will stay there again next time. Better than regular hotel.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Stay Classic Hotel Myeongdong. The location couldn't be better—it's very close to a bus stop, making airport transfers and getting to places I wanted to go super easy, and you're right in the heart of Myeongdong with countless great food options just steps away.

The staff were a highlight—genuinely helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay.

The room itself had a lot of space. I loved how comfortable and roomy it felt. Just a heads-up that toothbrushes and razors aren't provided in the room, but they are available to purchase. Whether you're traveling solo or with a companion, the extra space makes a big difference.

If you're looking for a convenient location, friendly service, and a room that doesn't feel cramped, this is a great choice. Would definitely stay here again

The rooms were neat, clean and nice. I love how the room came with a washer. It came in handy for quick washing. Staff were nice and location was great, it was near a subway station… only downside would be the washroom cause its a little tight but its okay I knew about it prior to booking, I cared more for the washer. Overall, it has a modern feel and would definitely book again :)

Rooms are very clean and quite spacious for Myeongdong and the washing machine comes in very handy (do note there are only two communal dryers on level B1 costing 5000w per use and it can be difficult to find a free one available in the evening).

It's close to Myeondong but you can't cross Namdaemun-ro so it involves using the underground walkway to cross the road to reach Myeongdong - something to note if you are carrying heavy luggage

Another thing to note is that there is no lobby and they can't hold luggage - there are only limited paid lockers in level B1 costing 10000w per 4 hours.

The hotel itself was nice. Every staff there was courteous except (Crystal) the one who was checking me in on the first day. She was working there in the front desk with her negative attitude to service customers. After I checked in, when I got into the room I found out the bed cover and the quilt case were dirty with yellow spots around. I asked Crystal to send a staff to change them, but the staff just changed the quilt case so I had to ask her to change the bed cover again. Luckily, her shift was done. The other gentlemen was on the front desk at that time. He was very nice and professional to handle all my requirements perfectly. I was happy with everything that he had done for me. In general, the hotel and staffs were very nice. I took 1 star off it's because the very bad experience with Crystal at the very first day. That was my first day that I traveled to South Korea. She made me had a bad mood for the whole day.

The entire lobby and fitness room area had awful “air freshener” smell. They should clean the area instead of masking with chemical scent. The fitness room needs better lighting and more equipment.

The sliding door to the balcony in the room didn’t have a lock. So, the room wasn’t secure when I left the hotel.

The room should have a safe box. The front desk had a safe for all the guests. I didn’t want to leave cash or my passport with the staff.

The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Having a washing machine and an LG Styler for steaming clothes was a great bonus. The bathroom did not have a wet and dry separation. The location was convenient, although reaching the nearest metro station required carrying luggage up and down an underground tunnel. Note that the hotel does not offer free luggage storage on-site.

Very clean rooms, great amenities, and wonderful staff. The only small thing is that the twin room has the toilet and shower in the same space. So if you take a shower, the entire bathroom floor is wet when needing to use the toilet. Hope there is something that can help minimize the wet floor.
Other than this odd structural setup, it was a great hotel to stay thats close to restaurants, eateries, and shopping places

This hotel was like a mini apartment - fridge and freezer, clothes washer and steamer cabinet, separate sleeping area, and large balcony! Fabulous! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the area was super convenient to shopping, dining, and transportation. The only downside was the mattress. Asian mattresses are very firm. That is to be expected. This mattress, however, had lumpy cables running horizontally every six inches down the entire mattress, raised above the rest of the surface of the mattress. Sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable!

She was rude and speaking in codes, looking at us like if we had to tell her how to do her job. We will definitely be back in Seoul as my husband and I loved it, but we won’t be staying in this hotel.

Very good convenient and inexpensive place to stay Seoul near the metro and bus system. Right next to the airport bus stop. Only pain is that you need to go up and down the stairs when COMING from the airport, but the bus stop GOING to the airport is right next to the hotel. It has a critical washing machine in the room which means you can do an inexpensive laundry which is hard to find in Seoul. Very recommended to those on a budget.

First is upon our check-in late at night, we were welcomed with a lovely smile by the front desk young lady who I later found out her name, Emiri Saito. We were tired from a long trip from Las Vegas and she really made our initial check-in very smooth and throughout our 7 day at this Hotel, she would always find a way to extend a helping hand whenever we see her. To top it off, on our check out day, she spent time to finding a way to help us with our ride to the airport since our flight got delayed. So glad to meet a young lady with a helping hand like her. Hope we’ll see her again in our next visit.

Good location right next to Namdaemun market, plenty of food options and easy to get on the subway. Nice coffee shops all around and a walkable distance to explore Seoul's central districts without having to jump on the subway. Hotel had in-room washer, which was a nice perk, but dryer is in basement and costs a few coins. Room was not big, but not small either. The layout was a tad odd with some wasted space but all in all, it's a good option to explore Seoul.

The property is super clean, and the staff is friendly. The only thing I would recommend for the hotel management is to invest in is a slightly softer mattress. Felt like I was sleeping on concrete. My hips hurts so bad after sleeping on the mattress the first night, I ended up sleeping on my couch for the next 4 days of my stay. Otherwise, everything else was top notch.

This is a gem hotel at Myeongdong area-walkable to/from the center with bus stops and subway station in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel at a discounted rate if you prefer a heavy one. There’s an emart a minute walk from the hotel 24/7 for a 7-eleven type of convenience store availability. Also, uber is very affordable if you don’t want the hassle of public transportation.

One of the key reasons I chose this property was the advertised feature of soundproof rooms, which unfortunately turned out to be inaccurate. Throughout the stay, I could clearly hear sounds from surrounding rooms, i.e. conversations, movement, and plumbing.

One night there was a loud and ongoing disturbance from the room above us, involving screaming / arguing. The noise persisted through the night, severely disrupting our sleep so we contacted reception on 3 separate occasions. The disturbance only ceased around 3:30 AM. We had a scheduled day trip the next morning and were forced to wake up at 5:30 AM after virtually no sleep. When I raised this issue with the reception staff the next morning (3 staff), they dismissed my complaint, merely stating that it was a “one-off incident.” This response, was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Additionally, I would like to point out the following issues that further contributed to a very uncomfortable stay:
- There were multiple lights from switches/buttons in the room that could not be turned off, making it difficult to sleep.
- A large window in the room lacked proper curtains or blinds, allowing sunlight in sunrise (around 5:00 AM), again disrupting our sleep.
- The shower design was impractical and caused water to flood the entire bathroom floor, creating an inconvenience after every use.

Having stayed at numerous hotels, I can honestly say this was the worst night’s sleep I have experienced in any accommodation.

- strict check-in policy - even though hotel rules allow for paying extra by the hour, the hotel was not at all flexible until exactly 3pm

- our room had an automatic light in the entryway, which turned on every time I moved my feet around in bed

Note - the hotel is hard to find using Apple Maps, however you can navigate to the massive Bank of Korea building 3 doors down.

It was my first trip to Korea. The hotel is located right after getting off the airport limousine bus at Namdaemun. The subway is also nearby, and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel was spotless, and there was a washing machine in the room, which was convenient. However, the dryer was in the basement. The staff was very friendly, and the service was good. The bed was a bit hard, but it was comfortable. I recommend it!
