BUYER BEWARE. My experience was so uncomfortable that I checked out a day early.
1- When checking in I met the owner which is a female and cannot recall her name but she stated she is the BOSS. Her policy was to charge 110,000 PESOS FOR EACH GUEST. I respectfully explained that amount was not depicted on hotels. com and it was unfair to bring up such rule ($) when a customer already paid in full the room reservation and arrived at the property. She DID NOT CARE or tried to make things a bit better.
2- I requested a room change because room 202 was pushing too much shower water out the bottom of the shower floor and was wetting the floor towel and the 30% of the shower area which mad it slippery. THEY DID NOT resolve that issue either.
3- Her employees were courteous and friendly which is opposite of the owner.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, las empleadas muy amables y dispuestas a prestar su ayuda.
El desayuno sin variedad, solo habia una opcion, pero estaba bueno. El sonido de la musica de los locales cercanos molesto un poco en la madrugada. No se si volveria, es mi segunda vez en Medellin y el hotel anterior estaba mejor por el mismo precio.

The best part of this hotel is that it's close to the airport. Next door to the airport do you don't need a airport transfer. You can just walk there. Also this hotel is next to the beach. The down side is that the hotel upkeep is not there. Bathroom was below my standards. The staff were nice and tentative.

The room is simple and clean. TV works has only a few channels. Bed is comfortable. Water is hot as long as you don't run it too long. If you want to bring dates back to your room, you will be charged 108,000 pesos. This is better for a couple not single guy. Breakfast is fine but small by American standards. I would gladly pay 30 USD a night. Very loud music 9 pm to 4 AM Thursday to Saturday.

A great place to start your vacation and explore Provenza and poblado in a walking distance. They have 24 hours service and they will protect you at all cost. They work with a smile in their faces. We had a great time. We had 2 receptionist to be thankful for. Sofia and Alexandra! They were INCREDIBLE if the hotel management would save those employees that give it all to deserve that will be those two girls excellent service. Gracias e infinitas bendiciones

Overall, the hotel was OK. He complained that much but the room was very small for three people as well as the bathroom. It was extremely small so for someone that’s a little big. It’s really hard to get around there. Other than that, the staff was amazing those ladies thank them for helping out in everything I needed thanks. they have really basic breakfast so if you still hungry, there’s plenty of restaurants out there, to Provenza. It’s like a five minute walk or maybe three minutes. So these very convenient, the price is very decent. They can help you out with excursions at the hotel they will guide you where you need to go. nightlife will be loud so pending where your room is is how loud will you be able to hear all that at the end of the day when you’re exhausted tired you don’t hear a thing. Definitely planning to go back

The stay is very simple but super clean and nice. The place is so close to all the good places and about 15 min walk to the train station. Its a nice walk where you can eat, buy things and take a lots of pictures, so super nice at the same time.
The staff also helped me to arrange my tours, with the best ones and the prices were super affordable. Totally rexomendes.

Safe location to stay out late and party!

The bed sheets were clean but the black blanket had crusty patches of something that dried on it so i didn't feel comfortable using it. The location is in a great area which means you will hear some music until 2am sometimes. I got used to it and slept very well and was also able to get dinner very late which is a plus for me. You can definitely walk to the bars and restaurants which is also a plus for me.

When l arrived there were 2 friendly young men at the front desk which was great, one spoke spanish and the other spoke both spsnish and english.
My room was very clean and inviting. I only booked for one night becaise l have never stated at thay hotrl befote. Now l wished l had booked for mote days.
I will return on my next trip.
Waiting to see what breakfast looks like in the mornimg.

My worst ever experience at this terrible hotel

This hotel is very basic and is by no means a 3 or 4 star hotel. Many hostels I have stayed at in the past are better than this hotel. The staff is not cooperative and they don't speak English. They provide incorrect information about the room before the cancellation window and once you get there they totally change their story and make you pay for extras that you should not have to pay for. Do not book at this hotel ever. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

If you travel to Medellin NEVER stay at this horrible place.
It is in the middle of bars with unbearable noise all night long, it is impossible to sleep.
There were drunken guests fighting throwing punches inside the rooms. For this and many reasons more, we asked for a refund of the reservation to leave; and after arguing at the reception, the manager accepted, but the money we got back were fake bills.
The place sucks, the worst thing that ever happened to us.

But that's kind of the point, except for early morning execs that need to be up early for business meetings on weekdays. But in spite of, I will stay there again. Construction and obnoxious reggaton next door

First, The hotel is completely remodeled. But it’s next-door to a place being built and construction starts at 8 AM and Reggaeton music is blasted till 2:30 AM! It was unbearable! I didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. I also found long brown hairs on the sheets as well as in the bathroom. I have short blonde hair. If noise doesn’t bother you, then I would say it’s OK as the location is amazing.

One visitor or pay extra $110,000!!!

Im a single respectable man, i pay for a couple for a room which does not say if someone was to visit you , you have tonpay an extra $110,000 pesos the go to your room. That mean if a friend cousin male of female were to visit you for even 10 min at you room and left, the next person will not be able to go up to your room unless you pat that hi fee!
It is very rediculous, i paid for a balcony and my friend cannot come up for a moment wirhout me paying for a date later on in the night of him. I was very disappointed!!!

Definitely recommended. The only problem is a leak in the bathroom that had a cave-like smell which was unpleasant. As I presume that it was only in my room, I take it as an isolated case. The rest was very good.

The hotel lies comfortably in a safe area with loads of nearby bars and restaurants. The room was very clean but also very tiny. We were two in the room and it wasn't possible to open both our luggage at the same time without playing Tetris. Also, the walls are very thin and you can here the everything that is going on inside and outside the hotel, which is not very comfy if you want to sleep early as all bars are still open and play music. Our room was on the ground floor without outside window and was smelling a bit moist

Room was small and very sparsely furnished for what was paid. Sometimes the rooms are cheap but in peak season where it's $70 a night, you can find better places in El Poblado. Room had nowhere to lay out luggage except on the floor. Sink was outside of bathroom where water splashed everywhere. The first night only had one bath towel so could not sop up the water. Safe was very tiny so did not use as can fit a passport and not much else.

On check in, the contract indicated a guest fee of 110,000 cop would be charged for any visitor in your room more than 10 minutes! That's more than the cost of one night's accommodation.

It's ok for a night or two but the noise was extremely loud from bars next door. We checked out early and moved to another hotel in El Poblado which was better furnished and less expensive.

They do serve a nice light breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is characterless but very clean and functional, in a convenient location for bars and restaurants. Nice hot shower, free breakfast and wifi. I had to leave my luggage with them for 24 hours after checking out and they kept it for me without question, which was much appreciated.

We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Medillen.
The hotel was great, small bathroom in the room, but overall was good.

Felipe (the receptionist guy)was AWESOME. He helped a lot in solving all of our requests and recommended a tour that turned out to be AMAZING.

We loved our stay there, and definitely will go back there if we ever are in Medillen again.

The Element Hotel is Thumbs-Up !!!

The Element Hotel is centerally located near Llerras Parque in El Poblado. 5 min walk to Bars, Restaurants, and entertainment. The Staff is very informative and friendly. They suggested to use Air Columbia / Avianca in Columbia since the fares are the same as buses !!! Pay the $ 3.00 more and get the Balcony Room. I would definately stay here again.

The hotel looks new and it is well maintained. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Excellent location, close to several restaurants and other services (Banks, stores, etc). Included breakfast was good and n general is a very comfortable place to stay.

The cons. Maybe rooms are a little small, but is not a big problem. Since the hotel is small, sometimes there are noises (From other guests, or doors closing loudly, etc.) that can bother you a little, but nothing serious, In general is a good place to stay in Medellin.

The hotel is new and is in excellent condition. I booked a street side balcony unit with king size bed. My only complaint with my stay was the noise from the street and the construction next door. If your a light sleeper pack your ear plugs headphones and sleep machine. I stayed the last week of February. the Element is in safe area, front desk is staffed 24 hours. Bogota brewing company a few doors down. Around the bock is a little bakery (next to natural hotel) has the best croissants. So what's a little noise I didn't come to Medellin to sleep.

Nice Location

I received very good services from the hotel staff. The location is great, and there are many restaurants around. It's a newly renovated hotel with clean floor and beds. The breakfast was fresh and the Internet was fast. However, some \"little things\" were missing from the \"superior room\" I booked. There was nowhere to hang a shirt, no bedside drawer/table, and no working desk and chair (no chair in the room to sit on). I recommend the hotel based on the positives I described above. The hotel can get to a 3-star level if they address the little issues. A 3.5 star does not represent the facilities and condition.
