One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel staff was super welcome and very attentive. The hotel is basically a farm that offer free experiences like bread-making and candle-making. We also booked a private beekeeper experience which was the highlight of our trip which was followed by honey tasting with the local beekeeper Mr Kostas who shared his knowledge and love for the bees. The breakfast was excellent and worth visiting as a standalone offering as well. Thank you so much!

Charming boutique hotel—cozy, stylish, and well kept. The staff are genuinely courteous and attentive, offering helpful tips and warm service throughout. Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a relaxed, quality stay.

This property was a unique experience of being surrounded by a Traditional Greek Village within a resort. I truly enjoyed my stay, the surroundings and the food was excellent . All sourced from the land around the property very good accommodations with excellent service and the orientation and greeting was exceptional.

This is an amazing hotel with splendid facilities, gardens, pools, activities and an elevated but a bit of a distant view of the sea. Very unique indeed, historical and a bit exotic even. You have to drive quite some time to get there but worth it. The staff are super friendly and helpful but sometimes the poolside service took more time. Great breakfast but we felt the dinner was a bit sub par compared to genuine Greek dishes we had at many small tabernas, but the hotels own taberna was great with excellent local music. We liked it a lot and even upgraded and extended our stay.

Kinsterna Hotel is an exceptional establishment that I discovered last year, and I was so impressed that I immediately made a reservation for this year. This luxurious hotel offers a remarkable fine dining experience; the breakfast is incredibly abundant, and their restaurants are truly outstanding. They even cultivate all their vegetables on-site, which adds a unique touch to every meal.
Each room boasts its own distinctive decor, and the views of the surrounding landscape are simply breathtaking. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that you feel welcome throughout your stay.
It’s no surprise that the hotel received two Michelin Keys this year. I cannot wait to return!

This hotel is a wonderful retreat. It’s very relaxing with beautiful scenery. Close enough to go explore or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. The pools are beautiful, the gardens are wonderful. The landscaping is fabulous. We had dinner in the restaurant one night. It was amazing. But nothing compares to the breakfast each morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. The food was absolutely scrumptious. This is a wonderful hotel that I would definitely stay in again.

The hotel was lovely. A good alternative to staying in monemvasia. Beautiful grounds and views. Fabulous rooms but no power plugs near mirrors. Great food and had a wonderful private dining experience for my husbands birthday wonderfully organised by George in experiences

Staff were ill equipped , poor communcation skills and customer service. They clearlydid not speak good english so lots of requests were lost in translation, even the receptionist appeared not to understand what we were saying. Nice location but would not rate this as being a 6 star resort

Beautiful property but too many young children

Beautiful property and grounds, super friendly and helpful staff, and amazing food at all restaurants. However, for us this place was too family friendly. So many young children screaming and crying everywhere. We didn’t have a single meal from breakfast to dinner where children weren’t yelling and running around.

Even the adult pool had children at it and staff didn’t enforce anything. If you’re a family with young children this place is perfect for you! But if you’re a couple or adult friend group, this place likely won’t be the relaxing place you likely have in mind.

The hotel is unique property set in a stunning location on the hillside, a little tricky to find, but it is a real oasis of calm and quality in a rural setting.

There is a very relaxed vibe and it will be hard to single out anything but needed improving.

Beautiful hotel a few km outside Monemvassia. Lovely pool area. High quality rooms - really well appointed.
Excellent breakfast.
Note however that the hotel is a 5-10 minute drive from the nearest town - the last km up a narrow lane. Prices of food and drink on site are significantly higher than the local norm

The staff, the location, the food - everything was wonderful. We didn’t want to leave! There’s no easy way to get to town if you don’t have a car so we just stayed on the property for our 2 day stay, which was just fine with us. We took a tour of the gardens/mansion and laid by the pool. We enjoyed their complementary breakfast both days and dined at Mouries. The other restaurants/tavernas were not open yet this early in the season. Be sure to check/book their activities we wanted to do the wine tasting but this had to be booked with 48 hrs notice.

This is an amazing resort hotel which is a castle. Our room was pretty incredible with a sitting room and bedroom. Everyone who works there is really nice and there are many things to do including activities (for adults and kids), swimming pool, walking around, etc.
And the food is really excellent and I would eat there versus in town.

Kinsterna Hotel was the most beautiful property we stayed at during our trip to Greece. They have amazing amenities and wonderful pools, a fantastic breakfast and a helpful staff, and a great on site dinner. I suggest you call ahead to get directions up the mountain as Google maps may take you to a dirt road nearby fields, and you will need to turn around .

Not for me, I’m afraid. Large, sprawling hotel with very little signage. Spent an awful lot of time walking and lost. Had breakfast in a Conference Centre. Can that sentence ever evoke a sense of glamour??? Very impersonal. Had paid in advance but they still presented me with the room bill. No apology.

Good points? The rooms are beautiful.

Excellent hotel close to Monemvasia. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything is organized so that you feel completely private. Breakfast is excellent. I also highly recommend the fine dining menu. You will never want to leave! We look forward to returning soon.

Unique setting. Hidden but sprawling, luxurious, refined. Excellent food, friendly, helpful staff.
The only negative (and a significant one), is the woefully inadequate Wi-Fi, not only in the guest room, but throughout the majority of the property. Downloading anything is an impossibility so do so before you get there.

Special occasion trip for a birthday celebration

We had the most amazing time staying at the Kinsterna. It really is truly a special place to stay for a real break, a chance to disconnect in a classy countryside retreat. We enjoyed the spa and yoga sessions and the freshly home grown organic produce the olive oils and honey is outstanding delicious.
The building has been meticulously restored and renovated. Views for miles and close to explore the unbelievable charm of Monemvasia. Cannot recommend the Kinsterna enough and will most certainly be back !

Very nice people and a warm welcome. They didn't have the Expedia reservation at the time we arrived so it took a little while to get our room ready. I would suggest other travelers to try and make sure the hotel checks their Expedia account after booking so any wait is minimized.

Beautiful estate in hills above Monemvasia

Kinsterna is a beautiful estate. The restoration and development of the buildings has been done very tastefully. Both restaurants are very good, and the home-produced food and wine were of high quality. Excellent staff completed the positive experience.

It's worth noting that the hotel is a long way from the road and a good 15 minute drive from Monemvasia, so you can't expect to be able to take an evening stroll to local bars.

Beautiful Solitude Near the Castro

If one seeks a secluded, highly designed, architecturally masterful renovation of a 19th-century stone farmhouse with lush Mediterranean gardens, vineyards, olive groves, and locally grown and sourced food, you have come to the right place. The staff is friendly, but not intrusive. We left one night early because a private party rented the main outdoor dining area overlooking the sea, and hotel guests were relegated to the taverna. That would be our only criticism. They have to provide an equally magnificent space for private events, so as not to detract from the hotel guests' overall experience.
