There were ant traps on the floor that had to be picked up so my dogs didn't eat them. I was not told about them when I checked in. There was mould in the shower, the top part of the outside door was missing, and I had the screen but no glass. There was a person with an off-leash dog running around. I did complain, as I had dogs myself, but someone else had to call the cops to get the dog on a leash.

Worst motel I’ve ever been in. Incredibly dirty. Pillows, sheets, towels with stain on it, hair on the sheets, in the sink, in the shower. The shower has more black mold than ceramic tile. Dust everywhere spiderwebs everywhere. Mold scent in the room. It was a really bad experience I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

It is very pet friendly with a fair charge of $ 20.- for both small dogs. The room is large with a large fridge/freezer.
We pre-booked and paid but the room was very cold at arrival. The beds were not made - crumpled sheets. Doona and pillow slips need a proper wash. The micro wave is weak - you will need extra time to heat anything.

The refrigerator was scratched dirty and honestly appeared to have been picked up as a roadside find. The bath was dirty with urine around the toilet and hair on the floor.

Unfortunately I would not stay here again. The property is tired and not kept up. We arrived after 4pm and they were still cleaning our room, so we had to wait and then the floor was wet when we got in. Key jammed in the door, room smelled of smoke, pool is so murky you can’t see the bottom and has weeds growing around the sides. You can hardly get in the gate to the pool because it is so overgrown. I don’t mind the dated decor- that is as expected- but the general sense of dilapidation- and the smoke smell- left me googling to see if there were any other hotels we could move to.

We had read prior reviews of the motel before booking it, so we had an idea what to expect. The motel in general, including the room, is rundown, and is in need of a lot of TLC. Quite outdated.It does allow dogs, which is why we chose it. In the Hotels.com website that we booked through, it stated the room had a kitchenette,but we were told, no, the room does not. The neighborhood surrounding the motel is very nice, with lovely, well-kept homes and gardens, so we enjoyed walking the dog around there.

The overall experience is great considering the price. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The place looks a bit old fashioned but what I love best is the hospitality , feel safe that I can sleep good at night because of the nice neighbourhood. The window was broken. The bathroom had no door and in place a filthy fabric curtain. There was filth and mould under the bathroom sink. The shampoo had already been used. And the facility was generally very poorly maintained. I would never recommend this, in fact, believe I should receive a refund

The owners of the motel are a couple and they are very nice, kind, helpful. The motel is located very well. It is just on the bank of the Lourence river and has beautiful views. It is good option of accommodation between Montreal and quebec City. It is recommended.

We found a dirty sock next to the bed. Shower curtain had black mold at the bottom. Lamp shade had stains, A/C was dirty, shower wall had some hair. Spiders webs at the door and in side of the room ceiling. Bedroom curtains were barely holding on. It must have been a nice place years ago. Can barely see the motel from the road , when you see the sign you think it’s close for a long time

The room was not cleaned for a very long time and it is full of cobwebs, spiders, flies, and more. The floor and tables were covered in dust and the water smelled bad. There were no amenities; no towels, barely any soap, nothing. The bed is creaky and on rolling wheels which causes it to move. The windowsills are full of dead flies and further cobwebs. Everyone that was in the motel all seemed to be crazy. The only good thing is that the owner tried his best and was respectful. Outside View was nice and quiet.

The check in office smelled of cat urine, several stray cats wandering around, two large loose dogs. Leaking faucet which left the only towel soaking wet, cobwebs and bugs throughout. I was in the room less than an hour before I had bugs crawling on me so I decided I could not sleep there and was denied any refund and was only spoken to through a door.

It was nightmare.

You get what you pay for, sometimes less. Some rooms were in worse shape than others but all needed repairs and cleaning. With a lot of work and better services this could deliver as advertised. As is, it is not worth it at any price. First room had missing screen in outer door, sticking inner door, missing tiles in floor and ceiling, lots of bugs and cobwebs inside, missing lighbulbs. Towels were delivered eventually after multiple requests. Did come with left behind dirty clothes from a previous occupant as a bonus. The person working there was nice, and there were lots of cats around. Good view of the river from nearby, but not pleasant, nor sanitary, nor safe in the rooms and on the property.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES STAY HERE. Booked this motel as we were attending an event nearby and options are limited. Other reviews were so so. Went into it knowing that. But it was BEYOND your worst nightmare. Arrived to check in and there were a group of \"guests\"? standing around outside the office. Was given a room and went to check it out. Upon inspection there was a great deal of dust everywhere including on the bedding. THEN .. proceeded to check the bathroom..there was a pile of actual dried up cat feces in the tub!!! Went to the office and advised we would like our money back and would not be staying. The female manager? was rude, became quite angry almost physically assaulted. Refused refund and advised \"it was not her fault\" the room was not cleaned? I truly would not have ever envisioned this scenario. After much debate we chose to leave as we felt unsafe as the other people that had been standing around were also threatening. This motel should not even be in business!!!

The first room they gave me was filthy & that’s putting it mildly. Had to change rooms as I almost vomited after seeing the bathroom. They said they forgot to clean it as this was 8 pm when I checked in. Rooms have broken tiles on floor, dirty old windows, ugly tile ceilings that look moldy and a clean room that looks dirty. They also have an “open burning fire pit” on site. The worst motel I ever stayed at. Do not book this motel.

I had a confirmed booking. However, when I reached the motel, the lady at the reception who was drunk and completely belligerent refused to entertain me and said it didn't matter if I had the reservation, as she didn't have any room for me. It was 9 in the night, and my family was in the car. I feared for my safety as there were drunk people having a party with a bonfire with some loud music. This motel is a shambles. I had no option but to look for another place to stay in the middle of the night. And I drove from US to Canada to experience this drunk, unprofessional lady who used expletives to ask me to leave the property when I showed her the expedia confirmation.
This property shouldn't be listed by expedia or any other platform. And to add insult to injury, expedia charged me for the trip, which I need to contest. Also, I paid double the price to book a 3 star hotel an hour drive away from Montreal, as nothing was available at Montreal at that hour as it was busy due to festival apparently.

The room I had was very clean, there was an issue with the sink not draining so I couldn't really use that but I was offered a discount on the room in exchange, which was fine as I was only there for one night and leaving early the next day. The \"WIFI\" is absolutely horrible. BAD. I tried a few different connections and none connected. The room itself is extremely quiet, didnt hear anyone once the door was closed.

The unit has a high roof which we like and is spacious.

The online description of the motel is quite misleading and not updated. The swimming pool has been closed for a long time. There is no attempt to cut the grass leading to the St Lawrence river, have some seats so guests can go down to enjoy the riverside which is one of the inn's best features. Most disappointing is the lack of basic maintenance in the unit which would have changed the assessment. One part of the unit I stayed in front screen door was missing so had to keep it closed to keep out insects and this prevented an inflow of fresh air while we are in the unit. Basic maintenance repairs like missing the lever to change the water in the bath tub from tap to shower, some bath room floor tiles had come apart and some are missing, TV has mostly French channels.
The place has potential if basic maintenance issues and facilities are maintained.

geez, where to start? I have to stay in hotels and motels for work all the time. I don't mind cheaper ones, or dated places, so long as it is clean. The room smelled stale and musky. I needed allergy meds so as to breathe. The countertops had not been wiped down, while the floor was swept it had not been mopped. The towels were probably clean, but a few of them are stained beige. There was no evidence of bed bugs, which is good, but there were tiny moths and ants and while I hadn't seen the spider every couple days I had found spider webs magically appearing. The cotton sheet on the bed, while clean also had patches sewn on them where there must have been holes from something at some point. The water pressure was amazing. Too good in fact. It was impossible to keep the shower curtain in place and there was water all over the floor every single time, it was completely unavoidable. I only stayed here because of convenience. There were stains in the ceiling tile and on the bathroom wall tiles. The wifi only worked 2/5 days. The one thing that was nice however is that it's right on the St. Lawrence and there's a decent little bench there which is perfect for getting out of this hotel room which is definitely not a place I'm going to ever stay at again. Cheap though!

We were late getting in but luckily this site has a 24 hour desk! The gentleman who I assume was the owner, was very kind, offered us a late check out and made sure we got inside ok and knew where to park because it was so dark out.
This motel could definitely use some updating but the linens were clean (only Gave us two towels for a two bedroom chalet so could have used another), beds were made nicely and the water was hot which I always appreciate!!!
The only thing is that my friend was on crutches and the chalet had some pretty steep steps that I don't remember seeing reference to in the booking ad (I would have booked two small rooms instead)
Owner met us outside as we were leaving to ask us how our night was and welcomed us back.

I had an awful experience. I had a late check in which they had confirmed was ok. I arrived at 11:15 exhausted from driving 8 hours to arrive to no one at the office to check me in. After ringing the buzzer and phoning for 15 minutes I decided to try to find another place to sleep. Luckily I found one four miunutes away. I would have been ok with leaving it as a mistake but they decided to charge me still as a no show. After calling them directly they said I was lying and that they were there to check me in. And asked if I had taken a video prove I was there.

Like stepping straight into the 70s but in a comfortable way. Nice to have the lights left on for our late arrival. Great bed, table and chairs, huge fridge, microwave - though no coffee making equipment nor plates and cups, just glasses (on lace doilies!) Nice spot by the river, easy to find.

It was a bed to sleep in... but it took the desk clerk about 5 minutes to unlock the front door, the grounds are unkept, the pool seemed to be clean but there was a padlock on the gate. The room was fairly clean.
Time for the owners to sell and let someone spruce up the place and get it cleaned up.
There is potential, but they really need to clean up the ground and the room, then update the basics.

The staff agent on duty at the Motel did not want to give access to premisses at the arrival of my colleague at 23.30 pm after his work mandate in a local hospital. Because the motel agent did not get payment from expedia. Hence, the agent demanded of my colleague to be paid all over again. The language barrier the motel agent demonstrated and his particular unwelcoming attitude made it unbarable in the middle of the night for my exhausted colleague and option were unexistant at that hour in this very remote aria. My colleague had to opt sleeping in the car for the lack of local alternatives at that hour. It was a verrrrry inconvenient experience. We were not pleased and stressed fir our colleage not to benefit from the accomodations we had set up for him on his out of town mission - contract.

Cet hébergemnt occupe un site exceptionnel (fleuve, végétation, assez proche de la bourgade de Sorel) mais il est fort mal entretenu (bâtit, jardin ....) et le peu de ménage réalisé, après notre nette voire insistante réclammation, n'a pas été fait correctement (fréquence et netteté). Quant aux équipements (kichenette, petits electroménagers,..) en dessous de tout !! Même pas un verre à eau, une tasse !! Salle de bains vétuste, matériel de bains insuffisant !! Une vrai galère quand on arrive vers 21h00 !! Cependant, une légère amélioration, une fois le gérant saisi. Ce dernier, par ailleurs fort aimable.
En conclusion même si il s'agit d'un motel, l'écart entre le descriptif sur votre site H.Com et la réalité, pour la première fois depuis plus 10 ans, en tant que fidèle cliente, m'a interpellée sur le suivi de vos recommendations.

Le propriétaire de l'établissement qui reçoit sa clientèle au comptoir d'enregistrement ne parle ni ne comprend le français ce qui dans la province de Québec est un très grand manque de respect.
