The place looked very antique and beautiful the staff was great and helpful. But the room was super hot with no A/c to the point I was having headaches and couldn’t sleep. Also there’s no TV or mini fridges in the rooms which would have helped.

The Property is stunning and the rooms are gorgeous, beautifully decorated & very spacious. The food is good but the menu is limited, great assortment of drinks. My only complaint is the activities, the pool table requires work, the cues are not great & no chalk. They have a beautiful little lake for kayaking but only 1 broken paddle. They have horses and 2 cute little ducks (Adam & Eve) on the property that are very friendly so it would be worth having a coffee or a glass of wine by the lake just to spend time with the begging ducks. If they change a few of these small details I would give a 5 Star Rating

It's a beautiful real \"Hacienda.\" The gardens are so nice. You can also ride a horse, go paddling in the litle lake, look at the stars while eating marshmallows next to the fire; get a great massage or go to town for a dleicious ice cream.
The bedrooms are cozy but with a lot of space, and very clean. And you can really appreciate the pass of time over the place, since 1910's. Very kind staff.
And they are petfriendly, I took my furry girl with me. No problem at all, and she loves it.
Only, I wish it had a pool.

The location is beautiful, the decorations, the gardens, the small lake or pond. Also, all the employees are very courteous and friendly, especially a lady named Rocio, that works cleaning the rooms. The only thing that could be improved is the service in the restaurant, sometimes they leave clients unattended or take too much time to satisfy a small request.

Surprising history tour of a Hacienda.

It was an excellent experience and we had the good fortune to have a tour by Eduardo, who is also the chef, which gave us insight on the history of the hacienda. Food was excellent and we were able to eat on the terrace overlooking the central garden. All of the staff were attentive, rooms clean and a very comfortable bed.
We would certainly visit again

Very historical...400 year’s history with several employees being 5’th and 6’th generation on the working hacienda. Horse stables, beautiful horses. Food was great. The property was under staffed. The horse stables and garden area were in very poor conditions. The toilet in our suit did not work. Food was ok not as described on the menu. The property overall needs a lot of work. I would not stay here again.

The location is beautiful, the food is very good and the staff is really nice. We stayed at the hacienda because a couple of friends got married there and we had a blast! It is important to take into consideration that the hotel is quite isolated and moving around can be difficult because there is no uber and cabs are scarce. The ideal option is to rent a car. Also, pack mosquito repellent!

The worst experience that I have in a hotel in my 25 years traveling around the world. My plan was to spend 200 USD a night to have tranquility and peace for a weekend but what I got was the worst nightmare. Right next to my room a group of 15-20 teenagers screaming and shouting all night. Call the Lobby 3 times (midnight, 130 and 230 am) but NOTHING happened. The day after I went to claim my money back but the manager told me that he couldn't do that BLAMING expedia and not taking responsibility. When I follow up with Expedia this case, he tried to \"negotiate\" a discount instead of the FULL REFUND that he accepted (in person) that I deserved. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE and I hope you reader either.

Perfect place to unwind...

The staff at Hacienda Labor de Rivera were amazing. We had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant and the food was delicious. The WiFi was a bit slow, but that allowed us to accomplish our goal of disconnecting On our vacation. 6 of my family members went horseback riding and loved the experience. They felt that their guide was very patient. We woke up early to see the sunrise and it was truly breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back and staying for a longer period of time.

We have been so impressed with the staff. We stayed here to attend a wedding in Tala - a town 20 minutes away. The hacienda arranged for the taxi back at 2am, then had a staff memeber here to greet us and take us to our rooms.
We are not fluent in Spanish and the staff went above and beyond to communicate with us.
The horse ride gave us a chance to really enjoy the countryside and take in the beauty of the mountains and the volcano.
A wonderful, unique experience.

Outstanding service/hotel with unwelcome flies

we booked one night to meet friends for a birdwatching day in the near Sierra del Aguila. The Hacienda is beautifu. The Room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. The restaurant offered delicious food.
The one thing we did not like were the FLIES! They were everywhere, including the restaurant. We assumed the horses on the property were the cause for the flies...., but hated having them join us for dinner.
Service was outstanding. At check-in, we asked if we could have breakfast early in the morning before we went birding at 7am. The staff remembered our request and had delicious coffe and fruit and yogurt ready for us at 6:45 am. Considering that the regular breakfast time started at 9:00 am, we were pleased and appreciative to say the least!

Truly a unique hotel in a beautiful setting. Dates back to the 16th century. It retains a lot of it's original structure - the rooms are very modern, well apportioned and very comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and engaging and we enjoyed both meals we had there. Our only regret was not having more time.

Gorgeous Hacienda, loved it!

The place is absolutely gorgeous! The architecture is great and the people are super nice and helpful. My only complaints are that there is no AC ( but it's to be expected) and no pool (which I knew before I booked it). They have really awesome stables and plenty of horses. The spa is small but the service was great, we had a couples massage and felt amazing afterwards!

The hacienda is really one of a kind. It is just beautiful and the staff was really friendly. The food was great and can compete with other high-end restaurants. Carlos - the GM- gave me a tour of the grounds and explained the history of the hotel. I would definitely come back again.

Me hubiese gustado más variedad en el menú y sabor, así como menos grasa en los alimentos.
Una de las camas rechinaba mucho cuando te movías pero si estuvo cómodo el colchón.
Algo poco agradable fue que hay muchas moscas y zancudos pero pues está en el campo, creo que es normal, solo para que lo tomen en cuenta.

El acceso a la propiedad descuidado inundado muchos baches requieres un vehículo alto o todo terreno, sin planta eléctrica para contingencias no tuvimos energía eléctrica por más de 7 horas ( de hecho salimos del lugar y aún no había luz), no hubo agua en la habitación para higiene en el baño, personal para check out no estaba. Salimos tan pronto pudimos de la habitación. La comida espectacular pero contrasta con la poca atención a los detalles. Áreas de oportunidad y potencial del sitio. Lamentable el descuido.

Lo que no me gustó es que se venden como un hotel boutique y dista de serlo. El precio de la Master Suite no es acorde con lo que ofrece, las toallas todas deshilachadas, las amenidades que ofrecen como shampoo, crema, etc de muy baja calidad, la tina de hidromasaje no sirvió y el agua caliente tardo bastantante en salir de la regadera.
Para pedir algo a la recepción hay que caminar desde el cuarto hasta donde esta, pues el cuarto no cuenta con un interfón o un teléfono para poder hacerlo.
El precio no incluiye ningún alimento.
Los precios del resturante son altos para el tipo de comida que ofrecen.

me gustó mucho el estado en el que mantienen la hacienda, sobre todo el edificio y su jardín central. La carta del restaurante me pareció corta, sobre todo para la cena (yo ofrecería una o dos ensaladas más de fruta/verdura, las quesadillas podrían tener un par de guisos en su relleno: rajas, champiñones, flor de calabaza, huitlacoche). En general, muy amables, sobre todo Luisa y Maribel, la terapeuta. Gracias!

Muy desilusionante, no volveremos.

Las fotos del hotel nos gustaron y por eso reservamos la estancia. Pero el lugar está descuidado, no sale bien el agua para bañarse, al abrir el closet le cayó la puerta y el espejo en la cabeza a mi mamá ya que estaba flojo y en malas condiciones. Parece que no le dan mantenimiento al hotel.
El servicio en el restaurante es malisimo, tardaron 30min en limpiar una mesa para sentarnos y para ordenar otros 30 minutos. La comida no es mala.
Nos decepcionó este hotel porque ibamos muy emocionados de conocerlo, pero por el mal servicio y las malas instalaciones no regresaremos. Comentamos ésto en recepción, pero al parecer están acostumbrados a estos malos comentarios porque no pareció importarles mejorarlos y no se sorprendieron de nada.

La hacienda es hermosa pero el cuarto no era para nada como el de la foto, yo pagué un luxury y es súper pequeño y no como la foto que se muestra. Para el check inn llegamos 2:30 y fue súper atropellado nos dijeron que iban a ver si el cuarto estaba limpio. La comida entre la entrada y plato fuerte esperamos 1 hora , y después media hora para la cuenta y el servicio fatal de la gente . Después nos dijeron que el restaurante cerraba a las 10:00 y llegamos 9:15 y nos dijeron que ya estaban cerrados y nos dieron de favor unas enchiladas . El cuarto lindo pero no tiene aire acondicionado y la regadera estaba mojada como que no la habían limpiado bien, tampoco nos dieron jabón de manos. El lugar muy limpio pero el servicio le falta muchísimo por mejorar

Ideal para escapar de la ciudad.

La hacienda es hermosa, han respetado la arquitectura y diseño original, esta rodeada de jardines y un pequeño lago.

La comida es muy rica y el servicio es bastante bueno, pudimos tomar un tequila que llevamos y que ellos no tenían ahí, lo cual se agradece :D

El único inconveniente fue nuestra cama, solo estuvimos 1 noche y y fue muy incomodo, la cama muy ruidosa con cualquier movimiento y se sentía aguada, nos sorprendió pues no es lo que se espera de un hotel de esta categoría, se lo comentamos a las personas del lugar y dijeron que lo iban a corregir, ojalá que sí.

A pesar de esto, lo recomiendo para una escapada rápida de Guadalajara.

Durante la noche las tuberías de la habitación manantial hacían ruido que no dejaban dormir.

La ropa de la cama es excesivamente caliente y las almohadas no han sido lavadas previamente. Todas tienen manchas, olor y hasta perforaciones
