I stayed here for a week, using the room mainly as a base for sleeping and showering since I spent most of my time out exploring. The room was comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

During my stay I had an unsettling incident with a local, and the team went out of their way to put me at ease, keeping me informed every step of the way. What really impressed me was that, despite having absolutely no responsibility for what happened, they proactively offered me a discounted taxi to the airport. A completely unnecessary but deeply appreciated gesture.

I’ll definitely be booking with them again on my next trip to Istanbul.

The hotel is very old and urgently needs renovation, especially when it comes to mold cleaning. The bathroom was in terrible condition and had a significant amount of mold, which made the stay uncomfortable.
The only positive aspect was the friendly and helpful staff.
Unfortunately, due to the poor room conditions, we did not complete our full stay and decided to move to another hotel.

The hotel is so old. Our window was broken at the first day we opened it. The shower room door was not working, the water in the hotel sometimes on sometimes off. Even if water comes it was difficult to take a shower because the water was so slow. The elevator is so tiny, just 3 people can fit on it, and you need to go 1 floor up to get to the elevator. The staff was nice and helpful but the hotel is so old and everything is about to broke. It was the most uncomfortable stay in the hotel in my experience.

The staff at this property was amazing and the location was perfect. The only thing we didn’t like is the elevators turn off at night. The day we had to check out we had an early morning flight and had to take 8 heavy suitcases down 4 flights of stairs. The staff was able to help some but it was still difficult going down the stairs with all our things.

The address on Expedia was incorrect, so we had a very hard time getting to the hotel with our bags. The staff were very nice, but tend to leave the desk phone off which is unfortunate if you're trying to find the hotel. The room was not as large as I was expecting, the sink was slow to drain and the heat took a very long time to get the room comfortable the first evening - it did not feel like a 4 star room. That said, it was affordable and easy to get to the tunel and metro, it was quiet at night and had plenty of hot water. Galata tower is almost immediately next to it, so it's easy to spot \"home\" from anywhere in the city once you know where it is.

This was my first experience in aparthotel. They had all the appliances they said they would. However they had nohandsoap at the kitchen sink, no paper towels, I had to buy cleaning supplies as the kitchen was not very clean. I washed splattered food off walls etc. To have a washer was wonderful, it was a combo washer and dryer. I had to buy detergent and fabric softener. The dryer didn’t work well at all. I was going to use the balcony area but they never could find the key , so I never got to use it. I finally went to the terrace too and hung my clothes up there to dry. The shower had mold in it and the sewer smell from the drain was not pleasant. They need to pour bleach down there regularly. It was a quiet area , close to several stores , restaurants etc. Very close to Galata tower.

Really nice. Difficult to find at first, as reception is behind the main entrance.

Great little apartment. 3 double bedrooms, kitchen area, dining table and a sofa a tele, and bathroom.

Beds were firm, which is good.

Location was great. Right next to Galata Tower, with one of the rooms being able to see it, well, the top of it. Just off main street, so was quiet, but only 50 metres from being in the hustle.

Only negative was the bathroom door. It was a sliding one, but the handle wasn’t big enough to open it when it got stuck, which wasn’t a great 5 minutes.

The property condition is excellent. Its also in good and central area. Just 2-3 mins walk to Galata Tower, 3-4 mins walk to the popular Istiktal Street and Metro/Tram stations. Lots of eateries and shopping options nearby. Its also cheap and value for money for a family of 5 like us.

Cozy, quiet place near transportation!

We traveled here as a family of 3 with my parents (so 5 total. It was so nice to find an affordable 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment option so we could be together as a family. The rooms are well equip for a longer stay (including a microwave and dishwasher). The only downside is no true living/sitting area. The couch was in one of the room so we sat at the table most of the time. I am sure there are many options for the apartment set ups.

It is a 5 minute walk from the M2 metro which was perfect! 2 minutes from the Galata Tower, maybe 10-15 minutes to the water and super close to the Taksim main İstiklal Caddesi. Because it is off of the main roads we found it to be quiet at night.

We would stay here again.

Mixed feelings.

Excellent staff but not within hotel complex. A stand alone apartment in vicinity of reception but means a bit isolated. Minimal help offered moving luggage to the 6th floor (no lift). Only one key which meant the family had to be together all the time as no way to open main door if one person out and coming late. We were there for lesss than 24hours so didn't use any of the facilities but everything in kitchen looked modern and in good order. Breakfast a bit basic but satisfactory. Airport transfers via hotel were cheap and punctual. Neighborhood wuiye bohemian and good to access both modern and old Istanbul. Would use area again but probably not this accommodation.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and always recommend it. The rooms are nice sized and the service is decent - not to mention that they serve one of the best breakfasts. Also, the price is always reasonable as far as I've seen. The neighborhood is young and quirky and there are ample cute stores, music shops, and cafes around. I am not a usual tourist, so it serves me well on my weekend getaways. But I would also recommend the place to tourists - except any traveling with elderly folk. This place doesn't have elevators and whereas I fancy a walk-up, I wouldn't make my mother deal with it.

We rented two 2 bedroom suit for a group of 11 people. Unfortunately there was no elevatore and we had to move to 5 double rooms which were located in the buildings with elevatore. No need to say our expences got higher than the amount we planned to expend because we had to go to restaurant to eat . Howevere the staff were very helpful spacially Mohammad who moved our luggages a few times, and also Noortan in Reception and Arzoo the manager who both helped to fix the problem. Overall I recommend to book rooms just in the two buildings with elevatore. Moreover, I suggest Nar pera hotel just put these two buldings' rooms for rent because all the staff from reception to cafe and restaurant work realy hard and need to be appreciated not a negative review because of the poor condition of other building.

Building 8 has no elevator and our room was on the 4th floor. It was difficult to bring luggage up/down. This particular room only had two windows in the ceiling. The shower/toilet were very small. The breakfast was better than other hotels I have stayed at in Istanbul. The room was very clean but I found the bed uncomfortable.

This hotel has real value. Good price and nice bathrooms and beds. The bathrooms looked remodeled. It's located in a great area (near Galata Tower). Our room was a walk-up, so if you are looking for an elevator, this is not the hotel for you. The only thing about this hotel is bad service. We needed to talk our bags down and they would not help us. We told them multiple times and all they did was ignore us. Finally, after half an hour, we got someone to help us.

A weekend in Istanbul sight seeing.
* The hotel is in a great location, near a busy street, but far enough away that it's relatively quiet at night.
* Seems to be a new hotel, so there are some snags that need fixing, but overall a comfortable room,
* Modern interior with flat screen tv, telephone etc.
* We had a triple with a double and a single bed and a bathroom with a shower
* The Wifi is a bit flakey
* The breakfast is in the building next door, good choice of cereals, jams, bread etc.
* I would recommend it to a friend, very good value

nice hotel in a bohemiam neighborhood

went with my family to visit istanbul, i fell in love with the citiy maybe because of where i was staying, hotel is in a nice area with minimal vehicular transit that in the night is only pedestrian, no cars so you can sit on the streets and have some tea with friends and family, neighborhood has a lot of cafes, jazz, musical instruments shops, bookstores and craftstores, near metro station and railway station, also few blocks away from major touristic attractions like galata tower and old tram, there's plenty to do at night just a block away and there's even no noise! or you can just relax in the same block in a cafe while the guest plays guitar. our building looked new, as if we were the first people there.

Situated at the cusp of the old and new quarters of Istanbul , both the areas of the Blue mosque and Taksim square were within walking distance. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we didn't set foot on any transport. That includes a six year old as well. Apt was so newly done that there was a strong paint smell.

Excellent stay at Nar Suites! The only negative, and it's a tiny one, is that communication with the hotel ahead of time didn't get translated - so the airport transfer that we believed was complimentary (based on a special on their website) was not, and a request and confirmation in writing that we would be on the second floor was not honored (there are no elevators) - in the end, our room was perfect for our family and had a great view, and we got excellent exercise walking up 6 flights of stairs for five days. Would stay in this hotel, and in this room, again without hesitation.

Beware of what you get

We reserved a Family Room including a double bed, a single bed, a sofa bed, a sitting area and landmark view.... We got a smaller room, no single bed, no sitting area and no landmark view. I told this to a manager who called the day we arrived but he never called again. Low level of English spoken by personnel, its hard to explain your needs. The problem here is that you don't want to spend your sightseeing time arguing to get what you already paid for. I will ask for a partial refund to Expedia. I documented all this with photos. Besides this, the hotel is well located, breakfast is simple but enough. Neighbourhood is nice.

Unproffesional customer service.

I booked and paid for 6 nights at this hotel a month in advance. My daughter had been staying at this hotel as part of a student group, and was in great distress upon learning of the booking as she had been sexually harassed by an employee of the hotel and did not want to stay there anymore. I promptly (less than 24 hours) cancelled the booking, and contacted my credit card company. The hotel refused any part of a refund, and charged me for the entire 6 nights, while we stayed in a different hotel.

Excellent location, staff and view

An excellent hotel experience, and lovely place to stay. My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights over a long weekend and enjoyed every bit of the vacation. We arrived at 12:00 Friday night so had to take a cab from the airport and the 24 hour reception was a convenient no hassle bonus after a long flight. Just a tip in finding the place, it's located a stones throw from the Galata tower.

The included breakfast was an added treat and the most impressive hidden gem was the roof top terrace which offered magnificent views of Galata tower and the harbour. We enjoyed a few drinks with the sunset each night we were there.

Over all great location, friendly staff and easy to find with the tower as a land mark after a Saturday night on the town.

Good location near Taxim. Relatively less noisy than other Taxim area where there are unbelievably big noise for the whole night.

Any taxi driver will not be easy to find this hotel. Nearest Metro station is Tunel.
From Artaturk Int'l airport to Karakoy station. After then, transfer to Metro upto Tunel. Just one station.

Free wireless is OK.

I was satisfied with the service quality and customer service of the hotel, but once i was back from vacation, i found out they double charged my credit card..when i tried to contcat them they have never replied my email...then hotel.come assisted me for getting in touch with them and they promised for doing refund within a week time, but now, my bank still havent rceived any refund and i emailed them again but no reply still....i have no idea why they can be so irresponsible and charged a guest twice and tried to hide from us ...sucks and i will not recommend to others or stay again here..

Nar Suites Pera - your wonderful home in Istanbul!

The Nar Suites Pera aparthotel in Istanbul is the place you will want to stay during your visit to the area. It has a wonderful central location by the Galata Tower. Just by turning to your left, you are minutes away from the fabulous Istiklal Caddesi, and the shopping, cafes and nightlife there. By turning to your right, you can walk past the Galata Tower, down to the Galata Bridge, and over to the Sultanamet area were the famous touristic sites are to be found. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and excellent. My room was very modern, with a good bed, and clean, modern bathroom. There was also a complete kitchen area for making tea and cooking. A good breakfast was served in the dining room everyday, and the serving staff are very efficient and friendly. If you want to live in good quality modern comfort, in a central and fun neighborhood that makes you feel like a local, then the Nar Suites Pera is the hotel for you. I highly recommend this hotel!

Nos encantó este hotel y sin duda nos hubiéramos quedado todas nuestras noches aquí si lo hubiéramos sabido desde el inicio.

Estuvimos en dos estancias distintas durante nuestro viaje a Estambul: primero en este hotel, ubicado en el lado moderno de la ciudad, cerca de la Torre Galata, y luego en un Airbnb del lado antiguo, cerca de las mezquitas principales.

Elegimos dividir la estancia porque pensábamos que sería complicado trasladarnos entre ambos lados, pero nos sorprendió lo fácil y rápido que es moverse en transporte público (tranvía, incluso caminando). Nuestro viaje fue en familia con niños. De haberlo sabido antes, nos habríamos quedado todas las noches en este hotel.

La zona es muy agradable, segura, con muchas opciones para comer, y el hotel en sí fue mucho más bonito, cómodo y a mejor precio que el alojamiento del lado antiguo.

¡Lo recomendamos completamente como base para explorar toda la ciudad!

O apartamento familiar que reservamos não estava disponível, na primeira noite ficamos em dos hoteis da rede (Bagdaliyan) excelente, nas outras noites ficamos em um apartamento familiar ao lado Bagdaliyan, muito barulho de veículos, buzinas, pessoas gritando pela rua, havia também a inconveniência de que nem todas as janelas possuíam cortinas, deixando o ambiente claro.

A great stay near Galata

We enjoyed our stay at the Meroddi Pera Flats. It was nice to have a little more space with a seating area and kitchen for the same price as many other hotel rooms we looked at. The staff was helpful and the location of the hotel was very convenient for touring Istanbul thanks to easy access to the Galata neighborhood on foot and to public transportation to get to other parts of the city. The only issue that we had was that the toilet wasn't working properly, however, when we contacted the desk, they were quick to do whatever they could to resolve the issue (and they did get it resolved). If the bedroom could have been a little bit bigger in order to provide more space to walk around the bed, that would be nice, but we were very pleased with our stay and the room. The only other thing that would be helpful would be having clearer directions to find the reception desk for check-in as it is on a different street than the entrance to the flats.

Very noisy (terrible soundproofing), cold air blowing strongly from the windows, mold in the bathroom. Scratches and scuffs on furniture and walls. In the evening, water flowed from the ceiling onto the bed: the hotel staff offered only an additional room for 1 person (we traveled five together), refused to compensate for the cost even for 1 night. The only positive thing about this hotel is its convenient location.

Palvelu oli todella ystävällistä. Hotellin aamupala oli hyvä, muttei mahtava. Ravintolassakin henkilökunta oli ystävällisiä ja palvelualttiita. Minulle ei koskaan selvinnyt missä mainoksen kattoterassi on, ehkä se kuuluu johonkin huoneeseen. Huone oli iso / siisti joskin aika vanha ja kulunut, vessa oli valitettavasti aika epäsiisti. Huoneessa oli keittiö ja iso jääkaappi, tätä en ollut ymmärtänyt varatessani.

Sijainti oli hyvä Galata Towerin ja kävelykadun läheisyydessä.
