Perfect location for the popular sites tucked away on a street short walking distance from the Rialto bridge and St Marks square. The hotel is decorated in a traditional Venetian style but with a modern touch. The reception staff are available 24 hours and are very friendly. The room was very comfortable with good air conditioning and bathroom facilities. We didn’t choose to have breakfast so can’t comment. Lots of great restaurants on the same street as the hotel and nearby. We would happily stay here again

Nice hotel situated a few minutes from Saint Mark Square. Our water taxi was able to drop us steps away. Wild hotels in the middle of Venice it was nice and quiet. We were in the annex building, which is just off the main building no elevators so I got a lot of steps in, but not terrible.

The highlight hear from me was the staff. They went out of their way to get reservations for us help us with train tickets and other things. I’m actually gonna stay here another night on my way out of Venice.

The property and staff were great! They took care of everything needed promptly and politely.
We only had typical Italy issues like no hooks to hang a damp towel after a shower. Also the shower was less than half enclosed with a hand spray shower head, so you have to be careful not to spray water all over the bathroom.

Location was great. The apartment was spacious but could have used some sprucing up in the living room - an end table, pictures on the wall. Just felt bare but not a major deal. There was construction going on outside our annex and they started early in the morning. By early I mean 6 or 6:30 am.

Didn't know there was 2 parts to the property but it made it easier to enter through the Annex rather than the front door all the time. Other than that, inside the hotel was well kept and clean and staff informed me of events happening that week to make sure there is no delays to my departure. Bed was super comfortable and area was quiet. No complaints!

Hotel Monte Carlo staff went above and beyond . They were gracious , informative , and made sure every need was taken care of . We loved our apartment with a beautiful view of the canal and gondolas . They were great about arranging us transportation both from the airport and also to the port in Chioggia. Again, couldn’t be happier with our experience .

The property's location would be hard to beat. I would pass on their breakfast option next time, as there are many nearby options with better cappuccino.
Rooms were small and the shower in the bathtub you had to climb into as the tub had high sides and was narrow. The shower had lots of hot water for the first person but the next body should wait a bit or the water turns cold mid shower.
The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. we did not use the air conditioning as we were their in early May

This was an amazing stay. The hotel is located a minute away from st Marco square and many great shops and restaurants. Getting there from the airport water shuttle was a breeze and navigating the public transit to the train station was also fairly easy from this location. The rooms were clean and well decorated and maintained. The front desk staff were exceptional. I would recommend this stay to anyone staying in Venice. They also have bag check service to any of their guest getting there early or leaving later for free.

Hotel Montecarlo is in an excellent location, just off St. Mark’s Piazza in a quiet area. It was easy to walk to nearby sites and restaurants from the hotel. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was very welcoming. While the room was small, it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered a great variety of options. I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Montecarlo again in the future.

I beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Venice.

Situated just 40 seconds walk from St Marks Square, it was ideal for my wife Sarah and I because we love the vibe of Venice , if you’re looking for a great location this is it.
The staff are fantastic, the bedrooms spotless and very comfortable beds and pillows , air con is great. We would recommend for sure.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The location was superb for a central Venice stay. Room was well furnished and the aircon was appreciated as you'd need the windows closed as you are very central; noise from tourists outside in the evening. Not a criticism of the hotel. We didn't try breakfast but the bar was happy to brings drinks and nibbles to the room.

The hotel was in a perfect location & very well maintained. The room was very comfortable, quiet, great bed. The hotel arranged for out water taxi from the airport & to the train station when we departed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! At check in I was told that I booked their “annex” property, which I didn’t know what that meant since this was not mentioned when I booked. It ended up being in a different building adjacent to the hotel. The room was tiny with little room to maneuver even with one luggage, and very dark. This was not the issue. The problem was that after the second night, we asked for room service because the bed sheets were stained (our fault). The room was serviced but the sheets were not changed. And after the third day my wife and I woke up with a face and body rash. Not sure if they were bed bug bites or something else. The experience overall was not as we expected. Staff were nice and breakfast was good.

Upstairs neighbors were extremely noisy every day during our stay. We called concierge every night so they could tell them to be quiet. It sounded like there was a gym above us. Not sure if they were wrestling, jumping, doing aerobics, etc.
Staff was nice. Liked the 4-6 pm coffee and pastry time.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montecarlo! The hotel is in a wonderful, central location close to Piazza San Marco. The staff was helpful, always ready to answer questions or give advice on local restaurants, things to do, etc. We had them arrange a water taxi for us to go to the airport, and it was an exceptionally smooth process. They even helped us transport our luggage to the water taxi. We never had breakfast or afternoon tea at the hotel, so I can't give an opinion on those. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Montecarlo again and recommend it to others.

The greeting from the hotel clerk was abrupt. When he told us our room was in the annex, I told him I booked in the main building. He said, very rudely, \"I did not book the room and it cannot be changed\". The bellhop assisted us with luggage to our room, but, we are seniors, had to walk thru an alley-like street, and hike up 3 flights of stairs because no elevator. This is why I requested a room in the main building. He told us they are avaliable to serve us 24/7; however, I called about 6:30 the morning we checked out to ask for bellhop assistance but was told \"thete is only one person at the desk and bellhops don't start until 8AM. We struggled to get our luggage back down the 3 flights of stairs, walked in the hotel lobby at about 6:45AM to see 3 gentlemen behind the desk. I was very upset but did not say anything and only checked out becausethe lobby was full of guests. In addition, when we checked in we were told breakfast is offered for $20 per person. However, after talking with others in our group of 22 people, they were told breakfast was included. After all this, I would never recommend Hotel Monte Carlo to anyone.

We ate twice at the second restaurant two doors to the left when exiting hotel it was recommended from staff - the food was very good - hotel is centrally located to all shopping, dining and tours - one note * the hotel is not near train station, make arrangements to take water bus or taxi and get off at Rialto Bridge and it’s a 5 min walk

The check-in process was smooth and quick. Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They even included a complimentary Murano glass factory trip for us.

Our room was in a separate apt building, 3rd floor. There was a tiny lift, but we preferred the stairs. The room itself was amazing, it was spacious and elegant. Kitchen and laundry were included. The master bedroom had 3 small balconies overlooking the canal, which was incredible. One minor gripe was the shower water pressure which was quite low.

Hotel location is perfect, since it is steps from the basilica and the square, and about 10 mins walk to Rialto.

Lovely spot at a great price. Bella in the morning might wake some but minimal noise otherwise despite being central. Room was quite hot and AC didn’t work well or wasn’t turned on yet (March) but opening the window made it manageable. Breakfast isn’t worth the cost but is fine. Amazing. We got the apartment which is just a few steep from the hotel and has a nice canal view. It has everything, a kitchen with all the utensils and even a small oven. Two independent rooms each with a tv. Another tv in the living room (although the remote was not working but did not use a lot anyway). A bathroom with a shower (the shower head was a bit loose but we managed).
A washer to wash clothes (note that these washers are in the smaller size and we had to clean it before use (the only comment that I would suggest). No dryer as here it is customary to hang clothes to air and dry.
The staff was amazing in every way and reception is always staffed so no worries if you ever have a request. We were a family of four and we were super pleasantly surprised.
Close to everything (about 3 min to st marks square) and good restaurants. We only stayed 2 nights but having two rooms with teenage kids made a difference. It is on the expensive side but really enjoyed the experience.

I felt like I was going back in time with this quaint and charming hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the close proximity to the Basilica and Doge's Palace made this hotel a perfect spot. The hotel did not match the pictures we viewed prior to booking. We were put in a building down an alley away from the main hotel. We were in a dark room up 5 flights of stairs ( no elevator available). The ceiling in the room was very short. It felt like we were in an attic that was converted to a room. We were the only room on that floor. A very small window in the room and the view was a brick wall. We do not recommend.

I think the apartment could do with a few touch ups but other than that it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Venice! We also enjoyed the breakfast which we thought was excellent value for money especially when considering the price of breakfast elsewhere in Venice if you went out for it in the cafes near by!!

The room was small, which is understandable but it was also super hot! The A/C did not work, and when we opened the window, the room was full of mosquitoes. No fans or cooling options in the room. The rooms also didn’t have a safe. The hotel asked us to leave our room keys with them whenever we left our room.
The breakfast was bad. Some of the food didn’t seem to be fresh.
Location was great. Lots of shops around and very close to Basilica di San Marco.
Overall, would not recommend!
