Room was dated, did not provide two beds as requested, just a pullout.

The bathrooms had signs of mold, cracked ceilings, but were generally clean.

The poor rating on service is due to the fact that I have tried to reach out via multiple platforms as I left an expensive earbud in the room. They have failed to even respond let alone help resolve the situation. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel.

Needs a lot of work.

Well,
This hotel needs some work. Very old inside, poorly lit, needs a good refurbishing. If you are looking for a single night, passing thru town, and inexpensive, this is it.
Bed was fine, shower was fine, breakfast was good, parking was strange and no elevator to the garage so expect to walk your bags up a flight of stairs. This area is under construction while we visited, so trying to find the entrance was difficult. Don’t expect anything special.

We got a very big complex that is suitable for a family, with bedroom, large living room with 2 couches and dining table, another room with a big closet and 2 bathrooms.
It was too big for a couple😄
The breakfast was quite good though we had some better in other hotels.
The only problem is the contractions that surrounds the hotel and makes the access a bit complicated. The hotels parking place, beneath the hotel costs 40€ per night but we had no problem to park the car in a free parking lot, 10 minutes away. Actually it saved us time because the traffic towards the hotel is terrible.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location—right in the center, which is convenient. We stayed just one night, and honestly, that’s more than enough.

The rooms are very tired and dusty, with only surface-level cleaning. The AC is centrally controlled, so during a heatwave, it was completely useless—horrible night’s sleep.

Parking was a disaster. It costs €40, and our white car ended up with rust stains dripping from the ceiling, which ruined the paint. On top of that, we spent ages trying to park with hotel staff sending us in circles—only to be told later we needed to move it again (we didn’t).

The staff came across as arrogant and unhelpful. We were told the lift was out of service, yet it was working just fine.

Breakfast was disappointing—stale croissants, sad-looking sausages, and nothing fresh or appealing.

Would not recommend and would definitely never stay here again.

Beautiful property!

We stayed here so we'd have a pool for the kids and could be away from the busier city areas. They had a very convenient parking lot right next to the hotel which was also a big plus. The pool is clean and beautiful and the views from the rooms and the lobby and the dining area are just as good! We never felt crowded or busy, it was a very calm and relaxing vibe.

We had one minor issue and one medium issue. Minor issue was that the Wi-Fi network only worked in the lobby and did not work in our rooms so when I was trying to get some work done that was not convenient. The other issue was the temperature in the rooms… Technically the rooms have air-conditioning but there isn't enough power in the hotel to run them properly so for two of the four nights we stayed the room was uncomfortably warm and my whole family was sweating in the middle of the night.

We made a last minute booking to this hotel very late at night and they were able to not just give us a room with separate beds but an upgrade to the one we had booked! Thank you very much! Very spacious, comfortable beds and friendly staff!

Areas of improvements would be the AC and attaching a separate shower head in the bathrooms. My friend mentioned there were issues with the AC and I would have personally appreciated a separate shower head attachment and not solely a fixed overhead shower. There was a slight miscommunication with breakfast timings, we were told breakfast would end at 10:30 (and is also what is stated on the Expedia page) however when we popped down at 10:10, they had already packed up and were told by the catering staff that breakfast ends at 10:00. Nonetheless, the staff were very accommodating and brought out a few bits and bobs for us to eat.

Overall, had a great stay!

The hotel is so old style but clean. I told the hotel via expedia to reserve carpark but eventually no carpark provided.
A construction site is just nearby the hotel, the view is blocked, it didi not mention when I was booking the hotel.
The restaurant in the hotel is good.

Perfect Family stay in Cortina

We had perfect time staying at Alaska Cortina with my family. The facilities were great, everything was in nice condition and the room was perfectly cleaned every day. Biggest advantage of the hotel is the location - 2mins to city center and restaurants, and 1 min to the Autostation where we took the Ski bus. Breakfast was amazing wihh very rich buffet. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Cortina a lot.

We (family of 4) were very happy with our stay at the Hotek Alaska. We were in Cortina to ski. The hotel was in the centre of the town, close to ski hire, ski school, bus station, restaurants and shops.
We had family room (2 levels) which was spacious for all our ski stuff (ski/boot room under the stairs was useful).
Rooms were cleaned well and shower was nice and hot. Lovely view up the mountain from our room.
Staff were helpful however some weren’t very knowledgeable on the area/hotel. So just depended who was at reception as to whether your questions could be answered. Andreas was particularly helpful.
Breakfast was ok. Choice of continental or hot but quality not amazing. Downside was we couldn’t get a good cup of coffee!
All in all a good hotel with a bit of room for improvement.

Great stay, perfect location, and hospitable staff

Staying at Hotel Alaska Cortina was definitely a great choice. The location is perfectly situated in the heart of the town, Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is within a close driving distance to a good number of attractions at the Dolomites, like Tre Cime, Lago di Misurina, and Lago di Sorapis (hike time not included). As for the staff, Timeea was impressively gracious. She was very helpful and informative and gave us a number of useful tips to get around the place. When we let her know that we would miss breakfast because of our early departure, she offered to have to-go breakfast boxes ready for us when we checked out in the morning. It was one of the nicest gestures we’ve ever experienced from any of our recent hotel stays. Thank you very much for being gracious hosts.

Cortina was the site for the 1956 Olympics. This hotel didn’t look like it had been updated since 1956. Very worn. Extremely hard beds and pillows. Our room air conditioning couldn’t cool the room with the hot temps outside. We slept with the patio doors open which overlooked the village parking lot. But didn’t sleep to the loud drunks coming and going all night. Hair dryer had to continually hold a button down for it to work. Got stuck in the elevator on our floor and the door wouldn’t open. Told staff and they did make a call for maintenance. Our wake up call came 1 hour earlier than we had asked. Needs to be gutted and redone from the bare walls. Location is great—at the top of the village. Not a place we we recommend or stay again. One step up from a Motel 6.

The Staff threatened me. STAY AWAY

I arrived to this place in the mountains. It's a gorgeous and cold town. There was snow on the ground and the temperatures dropped to near 0 at night. Even though Expedia and the Hotel website advertise heat, the heaters inside would not turn on. I called to ask for it to be turned on and was told that they cannot and I can get a blanket. This is where things went from disappointing to insane. The manager instead of trying to in anyway improve the situation began lecturing me with disdain about how in her town the city council doesn't let them turn the heat on before October, no matter how cold it gets. She told me I should have researched and known before I came to her country.

I said that's not acceptable and they had advertised heat and the way she was acting was absurd. I told her we're on her honeymoon and my wife had just been sick and we need a warm place. We were lying in bed with jackets. She said \"I don't care. You're in my country\". I said I don't care either and they should deliver what they advertise.

Here she went totally crazy and said \"Oh my God you are so rude, I'm going to call the police\" and reached for the phone. I said \"What crime?\" and she said \"You'll see. The station is right out\" This was a direct threat to frame me with a crime so I had to leave the hotel the next morning. I have since been asking for a refund, but the hotel has refused to respond and Expedia keeps telling me they need their response first.

Great location in a wonderful town

Great location in the centre of town close to the ski lifts. We had a room for 4 people and it was excellent. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with freshly cut meats and freshly squeezed fruits and vegetables of your choice. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and we will return this summer.

Terrible - no customer service

I live in Middle East where hotel quality is amazing at half the price! We chose this 200 euro per night hotel as a family expecting great things for our Christmas and New year break. They put us in an annexe where the local drunks came up from the night clubs pounding music underneath to throw up and drink right outside our window until 5 am .We did not get a proper nights sleep for 7 nights. When we complained and asked for another room they told us sorry but nothing we can do. I had to ask for security to at least move the rabble on - not considered or offered.There is no on street parking and they asked an additional 20 euro per night on top of their premium nightly rate - unbelievable! I asked for a discount to compensate us for the bad experience and told sorry we don't want to do that. On the positive side breakfast was nice and the serving staff very good, spoiled by a general contempt for anyone expecting value for money. Much nicer hotels in Cortina so keep looking and avoid this overpriced hole with no customer care! I told them I would cane them in my review so here you go Alaska - as promised, you completely suck!

A room with the most splendid view !

The Hotel Alaska Cortina is a wonderful and comfortable hotel, offering rooms with the most beautiful view of the Dolomites mountain range in Cortina d´Ampezzo, surely one of the top mountain chains in the world in terms of surreal beauty. The hotel also has a gourmet restaurant.

Surprisingly good

We stayed for 3 nights to ski in March 2016. I was a little apprehensive about the hotel as some of the reviews I had read were not good. We found the hotel to be clean, warm and comfortable. Walls were freshly painted, bedding and towels, fresh clean and white. Some of the furniture is a little dated but clean and functional, rooms were very spacious. The ski room too is dated in that there are no boot warmers but it too was warm and functional. Breakfast was good, the bar was busy and the fire was lit every evening for everyone to enjoy. The room rate was very competitive and I would definitely stay again. A few things that could be improved are the WiFi signal and the local knowledge of the reception staff.

i was in the hotel for a week since my son was attending a camp. the weather in cortina was hot during the stay. there is no AC in the hotel. The conditions in the room was torrid. if weather in cortina is hot, this hotel would be terrible to stay in. Hotel staff is pleasant and willing to help.

We took this hotel instead the other one. The stuff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is perfect: fresh fruit and vegetable juice, meat and cheese, fresh pastry, coffee and omelet and so on. Very cosy evenings with a fire at fireplace and italian singer. Very pleasant people were around us! We spend a very nice days! My asknolegments to Expedia stuff especially to Maxim!

Comfortable hotel, in a good, central, location

Stayed in this hotel before and after the Lavaredo Ultra trail - a local ultra running race. When first showed to our room it was clear that it wasn't suitable for our requirements (3 single beds) but after applying a stubborn stance, the staff quickly arranged for a room which did meet the specific requirements and was located in a much better position in the main body of the hotel. The hotel was well located in the centre of Cortina, with easy access to the town's main restaurants, bars and shops and also very close to the bus station.

Great hotel for all types of guests

This is a fantastic place to stay if you're travelling as a group of guys/gals or with your family. It's very close to one of the slopes...although this is the smaller side of the resort. The larger side of the resort is on the other side of town.

This hotel is very close to some great restaurants and clubs...although these clubs don't really get lively until 2am!

The bathrooms were fantastic and well equiped, the rooms were very clean and spacious. I always get annoyed at how little storage space hotel rooms have but this one had great storage space.

There are only 2 reasons why I didn't give this a 5/5:
1) The wifi reception wasn't great in our room. This is probably because our room was at the very end of the hallway. We had to go down to the lobby to get better reception.
2) When we booked on expedia, we didn't know that you could get suites which sleep up to 7 people. It would have been nice to know that because we ended up booking 2 suites to sleep 6 people. It would have saved us money to book only 1 suite....that would have been enough.

Other than that, it was a great place.

Revamp Time!

This hotel is in a fantastic location. Reception area, bar and common areas are pleasant. However, the room we stayed in was in serious need of a make-over. The furniture was very old and although the room was serviced and cleaned every day to an acceptable standard, blankets had a dirty (not been washed in a while) look about them. Same can be said for covers on the sofa beds. We were there for a week and not once was there a variation to the (included) breakfast. No fresh milk (only UHT / long life milk) avaible for cereals, tea and coffee - yuk. Dinner menu was limited.

Ideal location in Cortina village

Perfect location for a friends ski trip to Cortina. Across the street from the bus-terminal, walking distance to lifts for one of the mountains, and right in the heart of the village shops and restaurants. Hotel had a beautiful view of the Dolomites. Service was on par with the rest of the region, in my experience. I would stay here again.

Don't take your car.

We were happy with the accommodation and service at the hotel until 8.00 am on the morning after our check in. After a long discussion with the Hotel Receptionist on check in we decided to leave our car parked outside the hotel instead of inside the underground carpark. However at 8.00 am the following morning our breakfast was spoilt by the sight of our car being towed away! What the hotel failed know was the Piazza was going to be closed from 7.00 am. As visitors to the town we took the hotel's advice and did not notice the small sign indicating the closure. 138 euros later and a lot of stress we retrived our car from the pound. The hotel's only response was \"we are not responsible\". Well I am sorry they were morally if not legally. An otherwise great trip was spoilt by this experience. For the money we spent getting our car back we could have stayed in a 5 star hotel. Not all travellers arrive on coaches. Not impressed at all.

部屋はとても広かったが、施設自体が古い。
ベットはとても心地よかった。

Rund um das Hotel ist Baustelle, man kann nicht zu fahren, eine unnette genervte Dame hilft einem Telefon nicht weiter, im Gegenteil.
Wir sind dann zu Fus zum Hotel vorgedrungen und diese Dame ( blond) was inkompetent und unhöflich…
Am Morgen früh fing der Baustellenlärm an…Keine Ferien!
am morgen beim Check out war eine junge sehr nette Dame mit braunen Haaren…

Herunter gekommenes, verwahrlostes Hotel

Das Hotel hat in diesem herunter gekommenen Zustand maximal 1 Stern Wert. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht und haben ein Familien Zimmer mit veraltetem Inventar erhalten. Die Lage ist wohl zentral, aber mitten in einer Baustelle. Die Garage könnte als Hitchcock Filmkulisse dienen. Das Frühstück ist dürftig und lieblos. Das Ganze kostet pro Nacht 510 Euro. Nie wieder. Es gibt so viele schönere Unterkünfte in Cortina. Tut euch das Alaska nicht an.

Lavori in corso. La struttura non ci ha avvisati di questa cosa. Pubblicizzano parcheggi gratuiti in loco ma in realtà, complice anche i lavori, era praticamente impossibile trovare un posto per la macchina. Il loro parcheggio privato quindi costituiva l’unica realistica soluzione, sebbene costasse 40€/notte non è custodito. Le camere sono confortevoli ma nulla di più perché ormai datate da tutti i punti di vista (arredo, moquette, qualità del mobilio ecc ecc). All’interno una luce non funzionava e neppure la TV si accendeva. Non abbiamo evidenziato il disservizio solo perché si pernottava per una notte singola. Sinceramente non consiglio per niente…

周囲が工事中でアクセスが分かりにくかったです。設備は揃っていて、朝食も美味しかったですが、リゾートとして泊まるのでなければ、この地域では大型ホテルよりは小さな新しいホテルのほうが風情があると思います。

Hotel should close doors. Stinks! Internet speed is ridiculous. Crew is upnosed and bad mooded. 25 Euros Per person for breakfast. Garage is dirty and tight for 40 EUROS/NIGHT. There is a sadness in the air. Rooms must be updated and equipped. Decoration does not exist in the rooms. Un unfortunate experience. Location is great.

경관이 좋은 호텔.

매트리스가 아주 편안했어요. 아래 데스크의 여직원 이 카페 메뉴 등 질문에 너무 친절히 답변해주셔서 인상깊었어요. 아침에 산자락 쳐다보는 기분이 정말좋았어요. 터미날과 가까워서 이동하기 좋았어요.터미날과 단차가 있어서 캐리어를 들고 안내데스크로가는 어려움은 있어요. 터미날 택시 아저씨들도 친절하니 이용하시면 좋을것 같아요. 토파야도 20분 정도면 걸어갈 수 있고 친퀘토리 , 팔자레고 다 갈수있어서 위치는 정말 좋아요.

Sehr zentral gelegen. Hotel, ist in die Jahre gekommen. Bett war gut. Einrichtung sehr zusammengewürfelt (wie in einem Brockenhaus). Schrecklicher Teppich. Zimmer war gross und wir hatten einen schmalen langen Balkon mit schöner Aussicht auf die Berge. Frühstück war gut. Nicht logisch, wieso man sich beim einem Teil des Buffets bedienen lassen musste und bei einem Teil nicht. PP in Tiefgarage wäre 30 EUR pro Tag gewesen. Da wir viel vor 9.00 Uhr weg waren, konnten wir uns mit öffentlichen Parkplätzen behelfen (2 - 3 EUR pro Std., über die Nacht frei). Personal war nett. Zimmer war sauber. WLAN vorhanden aber nicht stabil. Sehr kleiner Tresor wohl noch vor dem letzten Weltkrieg mit Schlüssel vorhanden (wir hatten uns nicht um den Schlüssel bemüht und ihn nicht benutzt).

街の中心部にある便利なホテル

コルティナ中心街にあって、コルティナを起点にスキー＆ハイキングするにはとても便利なホテルでした。
中心街は多くのショップやレストランがあって、買い物や食事にも最適な立地です。
近隣の中では大型のホテルで、地下には有料(€10/日)ですが駐車場がありました。
部屋も清潔で、広かったです。

Poor facility

Good location. However, the hotel facility including the parking lot(20 euro per night with no security cam) is quite old. Also, Wifi in the room was too weak. And the worst part was bathroom. It takes so long to take a shower since water pressure from the shower head was really weak.

La struttura è ben tenuta, il personale professionale e gentile che ha contribuito a risolvere anche un piccolo problema con un mio bagaglio. La camera era ampia, ottima la colazione e non si deve dimenticare la posizione centralissima, davvero invidiabile

町中にある何処に行くのも便利なホテル

バス停近くのホテルですが、階段を降りる必要があり、スーツケースを持っていると苦労します。
場所は町中でレストランや買い物に困ることがありません。
大きなスーパーが歩いて5分ほどのところにあります。
朝食は種類も多く、美味しいです。
フローリアに行くケーブルカー乗場も歩いて5分ぐらいです。
私の部屋は非常に広く、洋服ダンスに鍵がありました。
朝食は、7時30分からです。
私は利用しておりませんが、朝食をとらずに出かける場合は朝食ボックスを作ってくれるとのことです。

Consigliato, ma...

Ho scelto l’albergo per la sua ottima posizione, in pieno centro a 2 minuti a piedi dal campanile e da Corso Italia.
Tuttavia da un albergo 4* di questo tipo, mi aspettavo un’attenzione ai dettagli maggiore: in questa mia ultima esperienza il materasso matrimoniale purtroppo non era comodo e la stanza era rumorosa. In generale l’arredamento andrebbe “svecchiato” leggermente.
Buffet della colazione davvero ottimo, che spazia dal dolce al salto con prodotti di ottima qualità; provato il ristorante a cena con soddisfazione.
