arrived after a veryyyy long day of travelling and the staff was so helpful to get me checked in quickly and easily! i had booked a single person room and while the room itself was small but clean and tidy, and made good use of the space with storage under the bed for my suitcases, so it was perfect for my needs on this trip! the provided amenities were great, staff in the hotel were helpful and kind, and the wifi and luggage storage after checkout were great. it was a super quick walk to the Otsuka station and the Yamanote line that got me around the city, only about a 15 minute walk to Ikebukuro as well, and the nearby konbini was handy - absolutely would stay here again!

This is my 3rd time using this hotel and I’ll keep using it anytime I come to Tokyo.

It’s a perfect spot for me and where I need to get around.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

And just under a 3min walk to the train station.

There’s lots to see and do around the area as well. The restaurants around there are amazing

Clean, efficient and conveniently located near the Yamanote JR line. Even though my window was facing the tracks, I could barely hear any train noise.

However despite having many floors, sometimes one elevator is disabled for guests, causing a queue to form during crowded hours.

My bed was also a bit sagging in the middle, causing me to have bad neck and shoulder pains throughout the night.

Beautiful hotel with big, delicious breakfast buffet. The staff was so helpful very professional.
The rooms are small (by US standards), but very efficient and I loved the bidet toilet. The onsen was very relaxing and the right calm after a busy walking day around Tokyo. We are sad we didn’t book more nights!

Awful! Do not stay here! There are better options!

1. We stayed in March and it was not even very cold outside, but the property refused to allow any room to turn on the air conditioning. The units inside the rooms were locked to heat only, making the stay very uncomfortable. We were forced to keep the window open the majority of the time for some air.

2. The staff refused to bring things up to the room and said, \"Um, we ask that you come get them yourself,\" when I requested toothbrushes.

3. Leading into #3, there are only 3-4 elevators for the entire hotel when there are 18 floors with guest rooms, leading to huge lines to the elevator. It took me forever to get those toothbrushes.

4. They force you to allow them to clean your room every 3 days, and get mad if you don't want to let them. This was especially bad when we caught a cold and had to stand outside our room for 20 minutes waiting, while sick.

5. They are apparently operated by extremely bizarre people; you can tell by the weird propagandist literature in the rooms. Their CEO's face is plastered everywhere (revered like some kind of god?).

Bottom line, just stay away, please! Also, this particular location is situated on a huge hill, which is a pain to walk up. Trust me, avoid.

We really liked this hotel! There were 3 of us, and we each got the single small rooms, but they worked great for just 1 person. It was super clean with a daily refresh of amenities (room service too, if you ask). The breakfast was fantastic and worth it! It had a mix of cultures and very allergy friendly (especially major 7 allergens)! It also was a perfect location in Otsuka, right near train station and had a bunch of shops/dining! All the staff was lovely and helpful! So friendly! I didn’t make it to the spa, but the screens said it was busy, so it must’ve been good for heavy traffic Would def recommend! Also very handicap accessible!

I found the bed adequately comfortable and the room to be decent. A good deal for the price I paid. The location was really good, about a 3 minute walk to the yamanote line, 1 minute to Lawson, and 5 mins to 7/11.
The laundry was 500¥ a load with auto detergent and 100¥ per 30 mins in the dryer. The washer didn’t rinse out the detergent so all my clothes are coated in it so much you can feel the detergent when you touch them. The dryer I did 3x30 minute cycles and my clothes were still wet. I had to hang my clothes in my room to dry which took a long time.
Also, no tattoos at all for the onsen. It was a main reason I booked this hotel and didn’t realize they had a zero tolerance policy. Seems outdated, especially for Tokyo.
The elevator was slow and in the morning it is as busy as they warn when you check in. I wanted to have the hotel breakfast one morning so I went to the cafe on the 2f, I was told you have to pay on the 1f. It took about 10 min to go between the floors. Not sure why there aren’t stairs but that seems to be the norm in Japan.
The wifi was fast enough for most things, high quality streaming with no buffering. It wasn’t fast enough to download streaming content for offline use though, one 20 min episode takes over 30 mins to download.
Overall it is in line with a 2-3 star hotel. I’d stay again as these are not dealbreakers for me except the laundry situation, I’d just go to a laundromat.

The ladies at the front desk were so very pleasant and helpful and made us feel welcome. The gentleman was ok but not quite as thoughtful as the ladies. Thank you for your excellent hospitality. Decent hotel overall. The rooms are quite small, but the area is quiet and relaxed, with plenty of shops and dining options nearby, and it’s just a short walk from the subway station. The hotel was a bit expensive, though that may be due to it being New Year’s Eve—even if not much actually happens in Japan then. One downside was the spa policy restricting tattoos, which felt unnecessary and exclusionary, especially given the number of international guests.

Room temperature is preset from the main source, room was so warm called the front desk they offered me a fan which doesn’t really help and end up opening the window advised by the staff . The hotel is located right next to the the train station, even though I stayed at 17th floors the noise from the trains and the announcement from the train station was very noisy. I would not stay at the same hotel for sure. I had good experience with APA hotels before but not this one

80 degrees(f) in the hotel room on the 17th floor and they are running the heater? I understand you cannot control the centralized system but you can install cooling fans in each room. Absolutely waste of money, stay was horrid, room should be against fire code being so small and all amenities are extremely overpriced. They suggest opening window to cool room, guess what, the window has no screen and faces the train tracks constantly playing music and sounds of trains stopping until 12am in unacceptable

The room was smaller than expected. Only 1 person could open their luggage at a time. The location is excellent, walkable to transit. The elevators were terrible. Although the in-room TV warned about elevator rush hour between 9:30-10:30 AM, we were not expecting how bad it was. 10+ minutes just to wait for an elevator and even then, the elevator would skip our floor several times. Other guests yelled at us when they were unable to get on too.

Parking is done by special parking lot.

The first room that I stayed in for the night... After I drop off my stuff to head out for dinner and after I return back to it, it suddenly smell really bad. So I called front desk, they came to check it out and eventually moved me to a different room on a different level in order to compensate the bad smelling room (at the same time they upgraded the room for me too). So, thank goodness for that, otherwise I would have felt sick staying there long (in the bad room).

One thing to note as well was why the spa/onsen changing area not always kept clean properly.

Other than that, lucky the hotel is with walking distance to the JR train station. The was the good point about this location.

The room was very not very comfortable. No drawers or shelved to put anything. Cleaning twice a week OK. Staff were fabulous. Very professional. Having only 3 chairs in the lobby a disaster. Closing the Cafe on Saturday & Sunday, horrible. It was 96 degrees outside & having to go out to eat on Sat Sun morning, a disaster. The Lobby staff, very indifferent & somewhat dismissive & rude. I wanted a Print Out of my bill, statement & expenses. They couldn’t do it! Nightmare! No where to sit down & wait. No lounge. What hotel does that? Very clean & efficient & a good location. Amenities are everything!. They charge for Late Checkout after 10am & if your plane is @ 7pm @ night, there is nowhere to sit, stay or eat. Not very Harmonious. Not amenable for Elderly.

Having stayed at multiple APA hotels in Tokyo this one had the smallest room, even though booked a superior room. It’s barely enough room for one person and a luggage bag. We are two slim built travellers with two suitcases and two backpacks and it was a shitshow trying to open the bags within inside the room! It should not have been sold as a room for 2. I would recommend booking the double twin room as those appear slightly more spacious. AVOID staying on the 20th floor as it’s the floor with the onsen, vending machine, and the laundry which sees 24/7 traffic (ear plugs are absolutely needed). We tried asking for a room on a different floor but apparently the hotel was totally sold out, all 20 floors.
As always staff is otherwise excellent and friendly.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a good stay. The rooms were clean and bright, however quite small, but that is average for Tokyo. I did find the bed a bit hard, but overall, comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is smoking section just outside around the corner of the main entrance. The onsen was also very nice but be aware that it is a public bath NOT a swimming pool. There will be nudity so if that’s something you are not comfortable with, be advised.
The location was excellent. Plenty of local food options and shopping not too far away and It’s only about a 3 minute walk to a major train line which made traveling around the city easy and convenient. Would stay again.
