Stayed at the Percy hotel whilst on business and have to say the room and facilities were excellent. One standout was the restaurant which I dined in on both evenings. Speciality is the steaks and the Tuesday steak offer where I had a 16oz rump which I gave to say was the best cut of meat I have had in a very longtime. I would definitely put it on my must visit again places

We truly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Percy Arms. Hosts and staff were exceptional. Food options were outstanding, and the room was comfortable despite unseasonably warm temperatures. Excellent location to venture out from, or as a stopover for bike tours. Train within walking distance. Our trip was a one off, but would return to Percy Arms if returning to the area again.

I never normally do reviews but what a fantastic hotel. From the very minute of arrival I welcomed into the Percy Arms. Fantastic warmth and generosity from all those involved. The rooms were absolutely amazing and well presented throughout. The ample parking and amazing food was another great addition to a fantastic stay. I will definitely be back. A very well recommended hotel and venue.

We booked this hotel as we were going to see Eric Clapton at G Live, from the moment we walked through the door we were made welcome by the owner Alfie, everyone we talked to couldn't be more friendly, the food was exceptional ( lunch and breakfast) and the room perfect, highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place to stay, high quality. Accommodated us with a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave earlier than the scheduled breakfast time. We had an evening meal in the pub which was superb. A slight bit of noise from the pub in the room during working hours but only to be expected, very quiet otherwise. Definitely would stay there again 👍

Parking is ample and available. Very much and guesthouse B&B, not hotel as it’s check in closes at10pm. Staff were polite and welcoming. Room was clean, however the bathroom had a strong sewage smell. Free breakfast was welcoming and ample. Amenities and requirements were as expected for 1 night stay. Thank you

The room was large and full of character, the bedding was warm and sumptuous, the staff were helpful and very friendly, the restaurant food was of a high standard, as was the breakfast (although a little more would have been appreciated), it was a lovely large older building, and so the stay was enjoyable.
But….it was the first night of the winter freeze and when we awoke, the heating had gone off. So we had to go from a very cosy warm bed to extremely cold conditions, which wasn’t fun!
Apart from the heating, we had a very nice stay at this well patronised establishment.
After breakfast, we wrapped up warm and went for a walk up the hills behind the Percy Arms, and at the top, the views were spectacular. The location was therefore surrounded by some beautiful countryside.

room was gorgeous. Spacious and very comfortable. Great service at check-in and lovely evening meal.

bathroom could have done with an update - not quite to the same standard as the bedroom itself. and a couple more hand towels would have helped.

view of St Marthas were not so visible due to the condensation on the windows in the morning and the blinds, but we had a wonderful time.

might be useful to have a slightly later check-in and later check-out. 10am check-out may be fine for a city hotel midweek, but on a sunday morning in a country pub after a lovely meal the night before, it felt a little rushed.

Great place to stay. Bath in the room did not make sense at first but after 2hrs of soke I changed my mind.
Room was clean, mattress really comfy, breakfast tasty. The only thing I could perhaps complain was a bit low temperature in the room at night but despite that I had a good sleep

We enjoyed our one night stay very much. The room was great, comfortable bed with good quality linen. Breakfast was generous and tasty served with barista style coffee.

My husband and I booked to stay here as it was not far from Silent Pool. We were delighted to check in to Njdov (4) which is a lovely big room with a bath in the bedroom. Large walk in shower and huge bed. We also ate dinner in the garden. We were lucky it was a beautiful evening and a duck family flew into the stream. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had steak and a lovely glass of Malbec. My husband had the Bunny curry (weird name for lamb 😆) That went down a treat too. I had the full English breakfast and Kevin had the South African which he really enjoyed.

I struggled somewhat with the eating part as I'm vegan and they don't really cater for vegans, especially at breakfast, although they did try. Don't plan on having a party here though, at £13.50 for a pint of Guinness, the prices are a bit eye-watering.

Lovely pub with rooms and a south african flavour.

The pub is in a quiet village several miles from Guildford.
We were welcomed when we arrived and shown to our room which was very large and comfortable. They had already put fans in the room which was very welcome as it was very hot. Breakfast has to be preordered and was very tasty. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and had outside seating both nights. There was a varied menu including some South African dishes and everything we ate was very tasty. The only concern was that the service was slow, especially on the 2nd night. It took over 30 minutes before we received our drinks, with hindsight, I would probably get our first drinks from the bar before sitting at the table.

A lovely little find, The Percy Arms is in the beautiful village of Chilworth. There are plenty of walks around the village. We walked up St Martha’s hill to St Martha’s church which has fabulous views over the North Downs. Chilworth Manor winery is on the doorstep. If you wanted to leave your car and travel further a field there is a train station across the road from the Percy Arms.
We ate on the terrace for our evening meal and breakfast which was served up beautifully. I can heartily recommend a stay here.

We received a wonderful welcome from the staff, like old friends.
The room was very comfortable. Bed and linen good quality made for a good night sleep. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom and a great shower.

Our room was spacious with a large comfy bed and it was cleaned daily. We liked the food - the ribs and burgers are excellent. Will definitely consider staying here again.

The Percy Arms is truly a hidden gem in Surrey. Situated in the quaint village of Chilworth, this quiet Inn was absolutely fantastic on all fronts. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The bar/restaurant offers upscale comfort food and is a place for locals and tourists alike. The staff went above and beyond, and were very welcoming.

Only 9 minutes away from Guildford and with a train station very close by, the Percy Arms is a great location for commuting and traveling around.

Could not recommend enough.

We had a great stay and would give 5 stars. We arrived and the restaurant was very busy but we were still shown to our room. I advised we had not booked a table for dinner as we were unsure when we would arrive but were told \"no problem we will get you to a table\".
The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean.
The food was exceptional.
We had breakfast both mornings also perfect.
The staff were so friendly and nothing was a problem
Overall, perfect stay, beautiful hotel and exceptionally lovely staff. We would most definately stay again

Absolutely amazing couldn’t fault it at all from checking in to checking out, the food was amazing the staff amazing kind and friendly and will do anything for you, i stayed with my partner, as we checked in they asked if we are having breakfast I said only my partner as I had to leave very early for work Alex who took us to our room said he could make me a packed breakfast if I wished and to his word that evening they left a bag containing a bacon roll, orange juice, packet of crisps and an apple, it was very heartwarming as I’ve never experienced that anywhere else… 10/10

Great location and lots of parking. Very friendly staff and really nice modern decor. Large rooms and nice hot showers. Only issue and technically not the hotels fault was there were the guests from hell in the next room. They had clearly got very drunk and couldnt remember how to get back in. They then procceeded to bang loudly at the door shouting for some time which was quite scary given it wasn't clear who they were and there wasnt staff on hand to sort the issue. They were then up most of the night so I left early forgoing my breakfast to go home and go to bed.

Beautiful room, the soaker tub in the room was amazing! Down side to room 5 was there was quite a loud drowning noise coming from the kitchen extration that was on all night.

Hosts were wonderful,upon depature not breakfast was taken, take a away coffee and a bacon bap was offer as an altertive - wonderful.
