Amazing stay, with great and attentive staff. Beautiful property, which overlooks the ocean and you can watch the surfers whilst eating breakfast etc. Would recommend!

Pristine, sublime, wonderful. The list goes on!

My partner and I concluded ten days of travel around Sri Lanka at Eraeliya Villas and Gardens and we were blown away.

The property is pristine, the gardens are spectacular and the villas and pools equally as beautiful. We stayed in the Ocean loft, a modern, airy and spacious loft with modern industrial decor with a Sri Lankan twist, it was nothing short of brilliant.

The pool is sublime and looks out over a beautiful stretch of the Indian Ocean, with a private beach behind there’s no shortage of space to lounge and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Eraeliya’s staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and nothing short of perfect, their attentiveness and willingness to aid in anyway they can made this stay truly special.

To top it off the food is great and there are plenty of options. The breakfast was particularly amazing and was something we looked forward to every day.

The hotel is situated just outside of Weligama, it is a 15 minute tuktuk ride to the popular towns of Mirissa or Ahangama, where there is plenty to do of an evening if you wish to leave the property. But if you wish to stay you can also make use of the spectacular spa service to take your relaxation to the next level.

Eraeliya and its staff have a special place in our heart after our short stay and we will without a doubt be returning.

We did not expect anything from the hotel as it was very last minute and the best choice according to other reviews! But when we got there it felt like a mini palace! We loved it, and would go there again!

Perfect place to unwind.

Eraeliya is a truly boutique hotel. It was our last stop of a busy 5 week trip and the perfect place to unwind. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations, exuding quality and tasteful design. The owner (Anna) and staff (Julia, Jerome and...) are to be commended for their attention to detail. Expect to hear \"yes\" and \"of course\" often.
Meals are prepared to order and served on one's own patio. Breakfast is extensive and the dinner choice is ample, delicious and reasonably priced. Alcohol is not served but is allowed, so guests can stock the minibar from the local wine store. Tick!
Eraeliya is a short tuk tuk from town and other restaurants (try Akila's).
We shared the gardens and trees with monkeys, iguanas and squirrels and went to sleep to the sound of rolling ocean waves.
We WILL return.

Wonderful and relaxing villas

Wonderful relaxing stay. The Villas were incredibly decorated, and the entire grounds were beautiful. All the staff were so lovely and went the extra mile for any small request. The food was delicious - a short and sweet menu but each dish was fantastic. The breakfast spread was absolutely fantastic!! A perfect spot to relax and unwind, and only a few mins tuk tuk to Weligama Town, or about 10-15mins tuk tuk to Mirissa Beach.

Fantastic location and brilliant boutique hotel right on the beach in a very private setting. We arrived late and did not have anyone available to show us our room or how to order breakfast, WiFi password etc which would be an improvement. Otherwise an excellent holiday location.

The villas are beautiful, scenery is stunning and staff were super polite and did everything they could to make us comfortable. Lovely, lovely place, very peaceful. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced compared to the other (high end) hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka, we had two dinners and one breakfast and everything was great. They do special dinners too - catch of the day and a lobster dinner which we didn't get chance to try but that looked good!

Service to match high price would make it amazing

Eraeliya villas lives up to the expectations in the photos - it really is stunning.The high ceilings in the upper rooms in the main villa mean that the room feels even larger and waking up to the sea view every morning is wonderful.
Unfortunately the service doesn't quite live up to the beauty of the property, or, more honestly, the rather high price tag.
- Breakfast is ordered the night before and supposed to be delivered to the room, at the time you specify. We stayed for 6 nights and breakfast was only on time twice, arriving anything from 15-30 minutes after the time you requested. No big deal if you are just lying by the pool, but as my husband had to leave to go diving one morning it meant he had to go hungry.
- For the whole duration of our stay there was only one room key as the previous occupants had apparently forgotten to return the spare. I'm not sure what would have happened if we'd mislaid that key
- For three days our air conditioning kept malfunctioning. It was ultimately replaced, and whilst the staff were responsive to get it working again, it just became an annoyance until it was finally fixed
- When we left reception tried to get us to sign for the full room charge, even though we'd already paid in advance, which seemed odd. When I asked why hotels.com wouldn't be paying the hotel, they backed down
When our driver arrived we said goodbye to the group of staff in reception who were chatting amongst themselves. They didn't reply. Sums up the service

Fabulous Resort - But Room Choice Important

The place is amazing, beautiful location on the beach, tranquil, super pool and lobby area in the main villa. The photos are accurate ! Excellent breakfasts, lunches and attentive staff. They no longer offer dinner but give a list of local eateries. No alcohol served but ok to bring own, store in fridge. If you can afford it, choose one of the 4 sea view rooms in the main villa, upstairs probably best as private balcony and dining tables. Downstairs great comfy sofas and chairs too but right on the pool so less private. The family villa looked lovely too. We stayed in one of the garden villas, 'Abalaya' Garden Bungalow for 4 nights. When we booked it was not listed as 'not recommended for light sleepers', so we found out the hard way ! Mariachi band from birthday party at (very) nearby beach kiosk, a massive new hotel being constructed just over the wall from dawn till 10pm. (This is targeted for completion early April - maybe they will have a restaurant ?) Also could hear road traffic from adjacent minor road, some obtrusive when music from cars blaring. There is a small outside table, where breakfast may be served (or in the room) but we chose to eat in the garden with those fabulous views. To be fair, when there were not guests in the beachfront villas we ate at their table, twice, once upstairs, one down. The interior was lovely (as photos but a lot darker - many, blinds to work) but awkwardly located plug sockets. Overall is okay if you are on a budget and bring earplugs

Right on the beach with a beautiful pool and surrounding views. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful. The day trip to Galle was also definitely worth doing through Eraeliya and Mirissa is just a tuk tuk away for lots of beach restaurants.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. The gardens are spectacular, the food was incredible, and the room was the nicest we have ever stayed in. The staff were fantastic and helped us plan a delicious lobster dinner on our balcony. Utter relaxation, could not recommend this hotel more. We'll definitely be back

A real relaxing stay, great accommodation and amazing views.Staff are very friendly but not enough which makes ordering something rather difficult at times. Also the small villa we stayed in would benefit from more power points as well as better lighting in the bathroom. Otherwise really great.

Take of two stays.

We stayed 3 nights in the Muhuda Bella Villa and 2 in the main villa in the room called Alaya. The small villa is a bit tired and I feel as it's the furthest room from the main building it almost forgotten.
But the main Villa is great the room we stayed in there was brilliant.

The staff are really friendly and efficient. The food was great. The spa treatments we had were great.

The wifi in the small villa was pretty much nonexistent. But the main villa it was fine.

Beer is hard to come by which I couldn't understand why, as the hotel is full, they didn't have a huge stock of beer on hand. So a couple nights we could have more than 2 beers! So we went out and bought some, a 10mins tuktuk ride.

Overall a good place but don't stay in the Muhuda Bella Villa.

Great room, well located, beautiful garden and pool.
The breakfast was a success With good bread jam and pancakes. Dinner is a bit rushed though (and there is no wine list) as the staff wanted to finish the service by 9 pm.

It would however be good if they could rent surf boards.
Very close to welligama by tuk tuk.

Das Highlight des Hotels war das Personal. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und ausreichend. Aber für den Preis gab’s es zu wenig Auswahl. Der Pool und die Lage direkt am Meer sind ein Traum. Es waren alle sehr bemüht, dass wir uns wohl fühlen, es wurde auch ein Meet-Greet veranstaltet.

Essen und Trinken ist relativ teuer, da noch 10% Service Charge und 31% Steuern hinzugefügt werden.
Für ein 5-Sterne hatten die Handtücher leider immer wieder Flecken. Das WLAN war sehr schlecht und wir hatten des Öfteren nur sehr geringen Wasserdruck im Bad. Das Garden Loft ist für den Preis leider etwas klein.

Dennoch würden wir das Hotel aber weiter empfehlen, da es auch Bemühungen mit neuen Projekten gibt, das Hotel für die Gäste interessanter zu gestalten (Wine Bistro, Outdoor-Gym).

Lyxigt boende med fantastisk service. Boendet känns unikt i sitt slag, inredningen är genomtänkt in i minsta detalj.

Det enda riktigt negativa som går att säga är att det saknas bra badmöjligjeter. Lite stenig botten och väldigt djupt snabbt.

L’hôtel est très agréable et la grande chambre au premier étage du bâtiment principal est magnifique avec belle vue sur la mer.
En revanche l’hôtel est isolé sans restaurant extérieur accessible à pied pour dîner. L’hôtelier profite de cette situation pour pratiquer des prix insensés sur la nourriture et les boissons (18$ un plat de pâtes). Les prix ont d’ailleurs presque doublés en un an! Les pâtes passant de 1800 roupies (8€) à 18$. C’est dommage et cela gâche un peu le séjour. Nous n’y avons pas dîner. Le mieux est de louer un scooter à Weligama chez Sunmith pour visiter les environs (Galle et Handunugoda Tea Factory) et pour aller dîner, ce que nous avons fait sans problème.

飯店靠近海邊,是獨棟villa.每一間房間有不同的特色,房間很大景色很美,,缺點就是燈光不足太暗了.而且我們住的那間冷氣遙控還壞掉.沒辦法調溫度.因為離海灘非常近,所以沙灘上有人開pa放音樂就聽得很清楚因此如果怕吵得建議不要選擇離飯店太近的房間

Fantastiskt läge med mycket fin pool och privat strand. Mycket fint hotell med härlig känsla och hög standard. Magisk utsikt! Mycket bra frukost. Dålig service bland icke-srilankesik personal. Dåligt mottagande vid incheckning, nonchalant personal. Ingen pool service, fick konstant leta efter personal för handdukar, dryck, mat. Restaurang stänger kl 16!!! Framgick inte vid bokning eller på hemsidan.

ビーチフロントの小規模なセンスのいいホテル

ミリッサでホエールウォッチングするためにこちらに宿泊しました。

立地もよく、ホエールウォッチングの出港場にほど近く、戻ってきてから朝ごはんを食べれて良かったです。
朝食はココナッツの入ったクレープみたいなものがとても美味しかったです。
お部屋もとても素敵で、景色もよく、
プールからの景色も最高でした。

ホテル内にレストランはありませんが、清潔で素敵なレストランを紹介してくれました。

Fantastisch!

We verbleven in het laagseizoen, we kregen een upgrade naar de suite. Het verblijf was geweldig, heb er geen woorden voor. Elke maaltijd ons terrasje aan het zwembad met prachtig uitzicht (l). De service is fantastisch.
Eten is goed. Keuze is wat beperkt, maar ze staan open voor alle aanpassingen die je verzoekt.
Enige nadeel is dat het een beetje afgelegen ligt.

Ein paar Tage im Paradies - einfach perfekt!

Dieses Hotel ist absolut spitze! 10 von 10 Punkten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer wunderschön mit toller Aussicht. Das Frühstück wird direkt auf die eigenen Terrasse / Balkon serviert. Der Pool direkt von unserem Zimmer war sauber und schön! Das Abendessen ist sehr lecker, aber für singalesische Verhältnisse auch sehr teuer. Aber in der Nähe hat es ein anderes Restaurant - \"Akila Kitchen\" ein echter Geheimtipp. Ich würde jederzeit sehr gerne wieder in das tolle Hotel zurück gehen.

Ideal zum Entspannen

Das Hotel ist ein kleines und idyllisches Haus, in dem man sich richtig entspannen kann.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön eingerichtet.
Das Hotel liegt direkt an einem kleinen Privatstrand.
Da das Hotel über kein eigenes Restaurant verfügt, nimmt man die Mahlzeiten auf seinem kleinen Balkonbereich ein. Das Essen, vor allem das Frühstück, ist sehr gut.
