Unfortunately for us the tv in our room did not work and it took like 20 minutes to get hot water in the shower. I Would like to say that when I called front desk to Report that the TV was not turning on she did inform me that she would try to get someone to fix the problem and that if she could not just to mention it before turning in the key the front desk lady when I mention what had happened she just said oh well.

The hotel and casino property is well taken care of. The staff and service was very terrible at almost every turn. The bar service at the willows pool was absolutely the worst. An hour for food, took the bar tender 1.5 hours to make 2 margaritas. Came back multiple times to check on them. The Ginger Noodle was an almost 2 hour wait from bringing to getting food to go. Food sat on the counter under no heat lamp. Dinner with friends at Long baron (party of 11) we got our dinner before I was served the beer I ordered. The server was missing in action most of the meal. Some positives. Eduardo our bellman was great. The hotel(s) are beautiful and well kept … would be great if the service and hospitality could match. We did make it known to management during our stay but it seems as though they do not care.

No room cleaning or bed making. At that price you would expect not to have to make your own beds and….. hallways next to the room smells like the casino floor. Low resort fee, but big deposit for incidentals… I would book the sister hotel next time…

OK, I don't usually complain and write bad reviews, but there were a lot of areas of possible improvement.
Firstly, it was not made clear to me that we were staying at Viejas Hotel, and not Willows (which is completely nonsmoking). My husband is allergic to smoke.
We valet parked at Willows, the Valet parker asked our name and was not able to tell us that we were booked into Viejas.
We then had to walk a long way with our heavy bags, from Willows to Viejas.

We decided to still eat at the hotel even with the smoke. We went to the Baron Long Bar and were told it would be an hour wait because they only had two servers.
We then went to Ginger Noodle Bar. It was chaotic, with food sitting for long periods of time under heat lamps.
Not enough staff again, a man in a suit appeared and started spooning white rice into bowls with his suit sleeves in the rice cooker.
The food was completely bland and tasteless, also the chicken in my fried rice dish was very low quality. We just left most of our food.
The bed was comfortable; valet parkers were great. but overall, I did not enjoy this stay and will not go back there.

Stop the check should always have a smile, regardless of how difficult the day is going. My check-in was horrible. I can’t remember the woman that checked me in, but she was impatient and she was making me feel like being there was an inconvenience because I made reservation ithrough a third-party.

Staff was amazing extremely helpful lots of food and drink options walking distance to more food options and shopping, non-smoking smoking section very accommodating for everyone overall the staff was impeccable. First time visit to this property for a quick two-day anniversary celebration getaway. Beautiful location in Alpine; casino was larger than we expected and not too smokey; restaurant selection was nice - we went to the Baron Long Bar and Grill for lunch and breakfast and The Grove Steakhouse for our anniversary dinner - food at both was excellent and food very plentiful, definitely make reservations for The Grove. Best thing was the customer service and friendliness of all staff, who made us feel welcome. Also enjoyed the outlet mall across the street for a nice break - make sure to visit The Gathering shop for unique native american items (purchased jewelry there). Overall, we will definitely return for a quick getaway and to enjoy the food and welcoming staff.

The entire staff was welcoming helpful. Felt like a Four Season resort, maybe better. I loved my stay and I want to come back ASAP. Dinner at the Grove was also excellent. However wait staff fell a bit short. The rest of the hotel staff was amazing 5 stars all the way.

The staff was very nice and the place was clean. Even though we had a non smoking room, since there is smoking in the casino and it isn’t well ventilated, the smoke still lingers in the air and on your clothes.

On the whole, I have a fairly good experience. Given there are two hotels (with a total of three towers), it was confusing to reach the closest and most appropriate registration desk to the room I was assigned. A better communication approach will help the guest park the car and get to the most convenient registration desk. Although I arrived at the regular check in time, my room was not ready, which was a bit annoying. Then, the digital key I received did not work properly on the elevator so I have to return to the front desk to get another key. Once settled, I had enjoyed the nice and clean room. The steak house was excellent in terms of food and service. The casino was fine but a bit too much smoke from smokers. Unfortunately, I have to leave very early the next morning so I don't get to enjoy any down time for fitness and breakfast. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the facility and the service.

The steakhouse was horrible the service was very bad I have to literally wave the server 2 times to get her attention ,and it was Thursday evening not busy at all .
The steak was very bad I ordered medium well and came back bloody I sent it back and it came back literally the same .
I didn’t eat it just left the steak one of the worst experiences ever .

This was a last-minute trip and our first time staying here, and it turned out to be a great choice. We had an outstanding stay at Viejas Casino and Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional—every staff member said hello and was friendly, and attentive. They really made us feel welcome! The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The food was great with really large portions. The 9:00 fireworks display was a highlight! We had such a great time We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Nice, clean Deluxe King Room with a very spacious bathroom and shower. Dining options are limited to only two restaurants. The Daily Roast is similar to a Starbucks style setup. Stocked with snacks, a handful of bakery items and a few specialty coffees on the menu.

The casino is filled with a huge array of slot machines. Downside is that there are lots of smokers around, making it somewhat unpleasant for breathing.

I didn’t hear any music playing around the casino. Not sure if being there on a Thursday night contributed to that. Not a place to go party but a good option if you’re looking for a low key getaway.
