The manager gave us two rooms. In both rooms the A/C put out such a foul smell that we could not stay there.
When we asked for a refund he did not argue. Gave us a refund and was very nice about it.

The room was very clean and i was very happy with it. I wasnt aware that there was a fire there in Oct. I was expecting a pool, laundry room and an ice machine. My granddaughter was playing in a softball tournament and we especially needed the laundry room and ice machine. I think that there shiuld have been a temporary note added to the Motel 6 (Abbeville, LA) website stating that those amenities ARE NOT AVAILABLE at this time. Even though I was happy, i was expecting those amenities and paid for them before i knew those weren't available. I have to also mention, that the hotels in the area were booked and I had booked the rooms at Motel 6 weeks in advance due to the favorable amenities. I was very disappointed when i asked about the ice maker the next morning and found out that it was not working due to the fire in Oct. Then the laundry room was damaged during the fire. I wasn't able to wash uniforms, put ice in her drink cooler or let her have a dip in the pool. Had I known that those amenities were not available, i wouldn't have stayed there. Sort of like false advertisement.

You can't access the main lobby due to a recent fire and from what I understand some of the rooms are unusable. Needless to say we did not get the room we paid for and not entirely sure we didn't get overcharged for the room we did get. The room wasn't bad it did have a weird smell almost moldy basement smell. Oddly when we first got to the room the tub faucet was dripping water while the tub was plugged, so there was about 8in of standing water. The room was tidy and nice but the floor was gritty like they haven't swept in a while. Everything worked TV, lamps, faucet, toilet, good water pressure etc.

Good thing I called a week prior to our arrival. There was a fire in their main 'enclosed' building. We had to stay in the back section where you park and just walk into your room. A bit osier due to main road out in front and the main interior door is not 100 fit. The shower curtain ROD was hung incorrectly so the shower water was able to land on the floor.
The rooms are excellently cleaned every day and linens changed/new towels.
The rate is great because we always bring our own toiletries and eat out breakfast at the Waffle House on hwy 167.
VJ the Manager is very friendly & accommodating.

When we arrived, there were several hunters out in the parking lot drinking and grilling out of the back of their trucks, didnt really think much of that or mind that, but at around 2am there was a gun that went off in the parking lot. Im sure a drunken accident. Then starting at around 4am, a biker pulled up to the front doors and bounced his bike off the rev limiter for several minutes, then checked in for an hour, and left. Came back an hour or so later, doing the same thing.. why was he aloud to check in in the first place and then return?! Not to mention we had a 3 month old trying to sleep through all this.
Aweful place to stay. And not safe.

When we checked in, I specifically asked the desk clerk about the smoking situation (I'm allergic), and she said she would put us in a room (1st floor) away from the smoking rooms and that \"we would be fine.\" I couldn't detect any smoke when we got to the room, but during the night the smoke came through the hallways and ventilation system and I couldn't sleep because of the smell. So if you have a smoke allergy, don't book here. The walls and ceiling are also very thin and you can hear your neighbors clearly.

Not the best - needs a lot of changes

This was a 2 night stay as we traveled across country. We picked this location because of the good reviews. However, if we could have changed our plans we would have.
Although we booked a non-smoking room, getting to our room through the smoke-filled lobby was extremely unpleasant. Our room was close to the lobby and the smoke drifted down the hallway and under the door to our room. We had to put a towel at the bottom of the door to keep the smoke out.
There were multiple holes in the bed sheets.
Other people who were staying there with their dogs did not have them on a leash and the dogs rushed at our dog. So, this location does not enforce it's own pet policies.
We won't book this location again.

I was only staying there bc i didnt want to sleep on anyones couch bc i had to make a quick trip to and back home thr next day. I think that was my last time ever staying there. They are so outdated uncomfortable and loud. The best part was that the lady checkin us in was friendly. I mean but for the price what can you really expect. I did at least exoect to be able ro sleep so i could drive home the next day but sleep was pretty rough. I was on the first floor and rhe ppl above me were loud running and rumbling all night... it stopped at about 1230 and started back earky around 7. Then the room i was in was near the ice machine so i could hear it at crazy hours of rhe night. The shower head looked extremely rusted and the toilet made the loudest long squeak noise with every flush. They have cable but no smart tv so if you have kids you wont have many options for shows/movies. They should also get some type of device with usb outlet for ppl who may not have their charger blocks with them.

Housekeeping is incredibly loud starting around 8AM. Not just knocking on doors, but talking amongst themselves, laughing and yelling down the halls. The hotel also doesn’t provide “Do Not Disturb” signs to signal that we don’t want housekeeping. The bedding and towels are terrible. Parking is limited and feels unsafe with limited lighting. You can here everyone walking above you. There are no amenities to speak of, no breakfast, snacks to buy other than a broken vending machine, and there’s no elevator. While the motel is not “expensive”, given all of these other factors, it is overpriced.

When walking into the lobby for check in the whole lobby reeked of Marijuana. The smell was also in the hallway and rooms. The shower in our room was dirty when we checked in. Ask for extra towels because we had 4 adults and a child that needed to shower (2 towels and 2 wash cloths in room) and were told we had to turn in dirty towels to get new ones. We stayed 2 nights and had to move into 3 rooms. First room smelled like arm pits and was full of mold. The front desk said oh there is a leak in the ceiling and I can’t really do anything about the smell. So we moved to another room. The second room, the ac was leaking all over the floor and we had to continue to lay towels down to soak up the water. The second night after taking a shower I walked out the bathroom and they had mice running around. So yet again we moved rooms. Every single room had a horrid smell and was not clean. Never again!!!
